INFO for people who are not familiar with this kind of music: This is traditional (more or less traditional) Irish music. The music in this video is not a song, it's not different songs either, it's a set of tunes, Irish tunes. The sheet music for each tune is on the web addresses above. If you click on one of the addresses you'll head to The Session, a website that contains sheet music and discussions about every Irish tune on earth. There you'll see the tune has (probably, in most cases) different settings that the users post, and if you click on the "SHEET MUSIC" button under each setting you'll get its sheet music on the screen. You can also listen to it by clicking on the "MIDI" button, but it's an artificial computer sounding thing, so you shouldn't really learn from that. My recommendation: learn by ear from Irish music players! (live or recordings). Oh, and what the hell is a low whistle, you must be wondering? Just go to my FAQs blog and you'll get answers: pjtinwhistler.b... SORRY: Private whistle lessons are NO LONGER AVAILABLE (for now).
I remember this was the first video I saw from you, 4 years ago. You introduced me into Irish music, and I really thank you for that.
Oh, man, how I wish a remake of this set with higher quality.
+Funes -kvn Just came back here too. I got into Irish/Celtic music because of this exact video as well!
I still play this set all the time. Back when I was messing around with screechy soprano D whistles, this was the video that showed me there was something better out there. I'm still trying to get my brother or my wife to learn rhythm guitar so we can be awesome too, but no luck yet.
Funes -kvn
Yes dass es. 😘😂
@@NathanielDowellsame struggle lol
This is some Golden Age RUclips material, right here. Low video bitrate, crunchy audio, a title that's as far from clickbait as you can get, and near superhuman musicianship.
this is probably the best video on youtube
I still come back 10 years later. Such good interpretations.
if a guy came up to me and played this song for me, i would marry him on the spot. srsly, most beautiful instrument ever.
You were young but already talentuous!
It's been 9 years now since the first time i saw this and I'm still coming here,, (and it's still amazing af)
Your bro's gotten so much better on guitar and you still rock on the whistle. Good job fellas.
Creo que en la vida me cansaré de este video
In short breaks from working, just listen to this. It is like standing on top of a mountain, breathing in the cold fresh air and feeling this pure energy flowing!!!
The transition at 4:03 drives a shiver down my spine..
Awesome.
Ma chi cavolo ha avuto il coraggio di mettere "non mi piace"?!?!?!?
Mah...fantastici!!! Davvero complimenti!
Your page is GREAT, im a Galician Piper, and i love to play some irish tunes in the pipes, your info is excelent to learn more about the irish mood in music... Thank You
i was taken back to the olden ages. thank you sires.
THIS is what playing should be about, having fun with your friends, playing awesome, beautiful folkmusic... Great job!
Thanks for the lovely tunes...
Can't stop watching this vid....
"Hey that's too fast!" "Shut up." Must be brothers. Great playing!
Well today after over a year of playing the C and High D I bought my first low whistle, this video was one of several main reasons for doing it. I can only hope with time I will get as good, because this sounds just plain awesome.
Thanks guys, its an inspiring and beautiful vid.
Потрясающе, чуваки! где ж вы сейчас?
This shows how great music can be made with a few simple instruments.
Well played - great breath control on an instrument that's the devil to blow in the lower register.
gotta love those tunes
Guys, this is gorgeous. Thanks for giving the names of all the tunes.
Great Recording - I've only heard it 5 times and it won't be my last.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
The guitar is getting better and better in each video. It's sounding great!!
I Adore the hand cream that gets to be on your flexible fingers. Dude, you ROCK!
Back with your brother!
Thank you! Good to see you 2!
Greetings from Berlin again,
Jan
This video made me want a tin whistle back when I was 18 years old. Now, at 30 I’ve finally bought one.
And I should have done it sooner. It’s so much fun to play and learn.
And still, to this day, the first tune you play is something I need, must, HAVE to figure out.
Also I would like to point out that everyone is sleeping on how dope the guitar player is. He’s amazing as well.
Must have a CD!
oh, that whistle sounds beautiful!
This is SO GOOD
boys you re amazing... ı live in turkey but your music taking me your land..
I never get tired of listening the first tune Pereeee Joaaaaan
Sounds awesome! Your brother got much better at the guitar too.
That smile on my face during all the video
Nearly 7 years later and this jam still plays in my head almost daily. Beautiful playing
+Dylan Allen Thanks. It's in D.

This video is my jam. Keep up the good work.
The way you played the cordal really gets me. Like!
@StevenFHP I am a metal bassman myself, folk metal being my favorite metal genre, and I got myself one of those very inexpensive tin whistles. It's great fun, you can carry it everywhere and everyone seems to enjoy it, especially around a campfire.
Please, never take this down! Regards from Oslo
Jaysys great set lads, very impressed.. I like the way Irish trad music is played around the world...excellent.. You come to Ireland during the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, people playing in pubs and on the street....You would love it
wooow reallly impressive to keep me interested for the full video time!!!
Top job me boyose If that dont get the blood racein' and the feet tappin; o're the hills and down the feilds.. keep up the grand work

That was fantastic!
Great job, boys! I definitely hear the Lunasa influence. Across the Black River is one of my favorite tunes. Keep up the good work!
If I saw you guys playing on a street corner, I would definitely stop for a while and throw some coins in the hat maybe a bill or two. Vey nice
Voy a ver y escuchar este video por 15ª vez desde que lo descubrí (ayer)...
I love this music ^^. Makes me wanna go visit Ireland.
Whoa thar boyes, I've just aquired my first penny whistle and so have been watching whistle videos all day and this is by far the most exciting I've seen yet, absolutely feckin fantastic, In love the changes in tempo and rythm and some of the cheeky notes you wang in there from the whistle. Brilliant both of you, beautiful tunes and lol at 5.33, "too fast!"
You never cease to continually impress me. You are one of my favorite musicians to watch on youtube. Keep up the great work.
That was amazingly done. Way to go fellas.
WOW. You guys are simply AMAZING.
@Vampgurl184
The best place to buy them is from the manufacturer at kerrywhistles com.
It costs 165 GBP including shipping. This is a professional instrument. If you're a beginner you can start with something more simple. There's plenty low whistles on Ebay starting from $30. They're not that good as Chieftain but should be good enough for your needs.
hella badass!!!!!!, nice job guys.
Outstanding. Thanks for inspiring me to get back to practicing.
Love it guys!!
You guys are amazing you should get a record deal
I'm so buying that thing
I absulutly love all the things you upload!

@TinWhistler I've been running sound for various folks since high school, and I've never had a problem with a Shure mic. If you're wanting to keep it cheap, check out the Shure PG42-LC. My vocalist friend swears by the Shure KSM32/SL. Great music!
Huge ! Congratulations ! Great for both ! Great endurance ! Genius ! I love it !
