AS an Irish man that play Irish trad, it fills my heart with joy to see and hear people of other countries play Irish trad and play it with the same passion as us Irish.
I agree :) My dad was in a trad band (called shamrog) for many years when i was a youngster (in the 90s) but he sadly passed in 2001. I was brought up in the trad environment and i play the whistle myself... I just love these guys. I cant believe how amazing they are... and from Mallorca: One of my favorite places and my dads too. I'm listening to all their videos right now :D :D :D
If you want to hear my dad play tin whistle in his hay day here's a video from 1990. But i dont want to spam this page its only if anyone wants to listen :) thank you. ruclips.net/video/0-z99Ee89us/видео.html

8 yrs ago I heard this rendition of hector the hero and I made up my mind to get myself a tin whistle. Begged my mom to get me a tin whistle and had to source from other friends since this music instrument is rare where I'm from. Got myself a cheap acorn whistle and played till the whistle itself got seasoned. Finally grown up and saved myself enough money to get a low whistle. Hope I can get as good as you guys one day
Great! Super performance, oh yes, I love the low whistle and the fiddle....I need a handkerchief by listening to your music...greetings from Germany, Konny
Please, please, please tell me you have a CD! I love your music so much! My mom used to play like this and I miss hearing her. I'm sure she's playing beautifully up in Heaven now.
Thanks for the inspiration Hector. I was home in Ireland last week and bought a flute so we shall see what a little practice will do. By the way, that second tune is called Tommy Peoples Reel.
The low whistle is so wonderful to the ears! Didn't realise it but was looking at one at a markets and didn't even realise it, should have got it then! Oh well hopefully another one pops up again. Keep up the superb tunes!!
Great playing from the both of you! I see that your brother is playing an Art and Lutherie. I have one too. They are very awesome and underrated guitars.
yes, is a Chieftain, but ,if you can pay it, I advise you a Kerry pro or a Overton. The Low Burke are good too, need less pressure, perhaps you prefer that.
I like. Great sound that whistle makes. Whats the whistles name if I was going to buy one? Thanks Oh if you what to join two or more words in a Link in Tags put " " around them, "low whistle" will come out a one link not two words sláinte!
I love your music! I am going to save up money to buy and learn the low d whistle. Did you ever learn the name of the second song? It is absolutely beautiful to hear.
It's the same tune from the beginning, Hector the Hero. Watch a fiddle version of this video on our Facebook page: facebook.com/photo.php?v=345507938845021

I'm pretty sure he's playing a Chieftan in D (low). Tengo uno que pedí por red
I need a "I fucking love these guys" button.
Make an album, and they will buy.
the first tune is a rather fast version o "Hector the Hero".
@tinwhistler Dude I'm such a huge fan!!! Do you play shows?? If so I'd love to be there!
I wont lie you: If you had an album I would download it ;)
Great performance! Any chance that I can find out the guitar chords for this song, guys?
is this a low Bb? I play Fife, whistle and Bagpipes but been looking for a Low whistle. What should my first be?
It's a low D. If it's Irish music you're after, get it in D, the standard key.
is that your brother? I didn't recognize him (2)
very diferent !
It has been probably asked a thousand times, but what is that flute? D?
Hello, what type of irish tin are this? Thanks for the music
Chieftain low whistle in D (old model).
I love your music! I am going to save up money to buy and learn the low d whistle. Did you ever learn the name of the second song? It is absolutely beautiful to hear.

Más vale tarde que nunca, muchas gracias!
What are the reels that you play, they are really nice after Hector
tommys people reel, roscommon reel
anyone know what the first song is called???
Good tempo. Best to let the melody speak for itself and not over sentimentalise it.
What key is this low whistle...D ??
Yes, D.
Soy de EEUU. Fue cerca 200 dolares cuando yo lo pedí
Hey dude what whistle are you playing?
Michael Robinson I think this is a chieftain low d. He answers this in the comments of another video where he’s playing Homer’s reel.
yeah sorry about that. stupid question. :)
It's a low whistle.
Visca Espanya!
The second tune is definitely Tommy People's.
Not bad :)
Hands up if you like the picture on the wall too !
Wow you played with george michael ! :D
Oh, my bad.
I want to say C, but don't quote me on that.
