A good hot dog needs balance. Good dog, good bread, and simple toppings. I have never understood the attraction to the hot dogs with tons of stuff on them.

I agree, hot dogs need simple ingredients. The pizza sauce and cheese might be good on an Hot Italian sausage though!

I grew up in Jersey in the 60s-70s and road side Sabrett stands were amazing. My friends and would just stand there and kill off 10 each. All of them all the way. The guy would just keep em coming till we were done. $1.00 each, loaded!
If you buy a breast pump off of Temu it might rip your nipples off.

From a food safety perspective I'm not sure even where to start here, from the guy fishing out a hotdog with his (what else has he touched) gloved hand 4:12 to putting the now cross contaminated sauerkraut back into the container 4:35. Welcome to nasty town.

I have my food truck in Las Vegas and I agree with losing the flavor of the actual dog. I overload my dogs her for appeal and everyone l8ves it. But I hate that the actual flavors get lost in the appreciation for the actual dog . Tons of kraut or even chili and cheese on my coney for just eye appeal. I charge $5 a dog with good natural snap dogs and if I don't overload my dogs they don't feel fed so???
Good point. But are they loaded like what you see in the video? or is yours a little less? If it were just a LITTLE less, I wouldn't have complained. PLUS, your charging $5.
@NYCHotDogStands I overload kraut, I put mustard onions and relish with a pile of crispy kraut for eye appeal. I know it's not a proper amount but everybody out here is all about excess and takes it on purely appeal of what they see. A shame really and lose the pure flavor of the dog with the condiments in good proportion, but I have to deal with eye appeal.
@NYCHotDogStands I have out here a majority of Hispanic customers and they deal in visual appeal, so I have to winning over a look of excess for the dollar spent. I can send you a Pic of my kraut dog and you would be blown back but it's what I have to do out here and it's ridiculous.

And for bottled pickles, Bat-ampte are excellent. Ba-tampte is still around. They have their regular 'kraut and their "New" sauerkraut, which is finer and not quite as crunchy...perfect for a hot dog.

First, I can't believe that you gave those abominations such high number ratings? They look revolting. Second, why did you order 3? The millisecond I saw that first one being "constructed", I would have canceled the other two. There's no need to put an entire grocery store on a hot dog.
All hot dogs should be thin, with either:
-Mustard & Sauerkraut
-Mustard, Sauerkraut, Onion Sauce
-Chili (Mustard)
Should be either Billy's or Gray's Papaya. And no to even the way overpriced Papaya King, with their salt bomb dogs.

Chris, those hot dogs are meant to be eaten from a wide soup bowl with chopsticks.
There is an establishment here in San Francisco called Top Dog that does those crazy impossible to eat hot dogs by hand and especially true while walking, except for the one called Tortilla Dog which turns out to be just a regular frank rolled in a single small corn tortilla with NOTHING ELSE and was $14 ten years ago! People usually eat their overflowing hog dogs at the tables outside, but I looked really stupid as people stared at my Tortilla Dog as I sadly walked away with my dog feeling like I just got raped.
