Chris, love your video's. My wife and I will be visiting NYC for the 1st time next month. We have about 2 and a half days before jumping on the cruise ship to warmer waters. Been taking notes and hope to visit some hot dog carts as well as some of the great pizza slice shops. We keep thinking February is going to be ridiculously cold but I'm sure we can find some great hot dogs to keep us warm as we venture around the city. Love what you do.

you gotta taste one of my hotdogs. sabrette grilled,homemade onions, roasted Mexican peppers, hotdog relish, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, guldens mustard, on a Martin potato roll. I really don't like the taste of those Sabrette bag onions has a weird aftertaste. those gray papaya hotdogs look the best. Keep it up bro.
my all time favorite dog will always be the hot Italian sausage with onions/peppers/mustard at Yankees Stadium. Always get one when I go to a game.
I go sweet but with brown mustard and the onion sauce, but a few years ago, they got rid of the pushcart onions. Fucking travesty
You can never go wrong with a Papaya King hot dog. I always get two when I’m ever on the upper west side. That neighborhood has a special place in my heart.
Think you meant Gray's Papaya...Papaya King (on the east side) has been closed for about a year now, unfortunately.

I just found your channel I'm a new subscriber. I love this video used to live right around the corner from Gray's Papaya when I lived in NYC ate the hot dogs at least 3 times a week with a large Pina colada so good 💯!!!

First and foremost i just wanted to say i came across your channel while ago and binged alot of your vids. I went to NYC in October and i was in the city for a day so i was like i need to get me a dirty water dog and a grilled dog the best hot dog i had in my life on 6th street and 34th it was a Nathans hot dog cart and i knew what to look for and how to order it was the best!! The dirty water was green so i was like no thank you.

What's your opinion on Orange Julius? Haven't had them since I was a kid, but I loved them as a kid (I'm sure the novelty of the steaming played a part).
Not had one in ages.
I live in Los Angeles and there use to be an orange Julius stand on Hollywood Boulevard in the 70s. I use to eat them there. Very good.

Hay Chris been watching your hot dog content .I was born and raised in the Bronx so I know hotdogs though I live in Florida now for 30 years now. Just wondering if you've seen this guy chris red hots on you tube . I watched this guy for 40 minutes sliging hot dogs non stop you must watch this. I think he's in Paterson NJ he also has a store in queens

That is nothing compared to Hungary, we had over 45% food inflation over here.
Wow $6 mine are $3 plain or mustard/ketchup. Signature dogs/ the works are $4. Make my own homemade chili, and red onion sauce like Sabrett, but better. Also a lot of other crazy toppings such as homemade mac & cheese. And of course I have combo deals.

I noticed the dogs at Billy's and John's Famous are not a natural casing, is that correct? If so, which type do you prefer? Natural casing like those at Gray's Papaya or not?

@@NYCHotDogStands You might not like Walters because they don't offer the onions or sauerkraut... they do offer puffy dogs which have these potato puffs on top instead. Also, while you're up in Westchester you might want to hit The Dog Den in White Plains. It's another unique spot.
