Been SOOOOO looking forward to this! Wasn’t expecting it so soon. Was thinking about picking up Pathfinder (probably still will), but I’ve already decided that DC20 will for sure be my new primary system. Can’t wait to see more!

Your excitement is glowing! I can't wait to try this! I used your enchantment, herbalism, tattoos, and a few other things to give my players more options for their characters grow. I will be checking this out for sure!
Especially interested in how you handle magic. I really love what I hear from your 5e game diaries regarding spell advancement and flexibility. Making magic feel like magic and not a check list of highly specific keys and locks. I would love to see some of that brought to your new system. Will be paying close attention

I wish you all the luck in the world, Coach, though I'm not sure how mucb of that you'll need since you and your team do such amazing work, and I'm sure that will continue to be the case with this project.
YES!!!! I’ve honestly been waiting for this to happen! I love your content man! I’m so excited to hear and see more about this system! I can’t wait! I will be sharing this with all my friends and as soon as it’s ready we will be running a game! I wish nothing but the best for you DC!
Awesome! Thank you! THAT is exactly what will take this to another level to be something we can all share in together! I feel the love, I feel the HYPE!!!
Coach, if you do launch this I am totally there. AAA is genuinely my favorite 5e book. All your videos inspired me to adjust and tweak things I didn't vibe with in 5e and to have this many options in one book is fantastic! And now possibly a whole game!! Put me down for 3 orders lol
Everything you said at first is exactly why you should be trying to work with one of the larger systems because without exposure it's not going to go anywhere.
If I work with a larger system... then they could veto / override me and that is not something I am willing to give up wiht something I am THIS passionate about :)
The way you light up when you talk about your system is EVERYTHING. I'm thrilled that I get to see it created from the beginning, and am eagerly awaiting more news (and playtests) as they drop! 😀 Thanks for being such a huge part of my growth as a GM - I'm excited to learn even more from you in the future.
So flippin hyped, your homebrews are always next level. I can’t believe you don’t have a bigger platform, going to have to make a patreon just for DC20.
Backed your KS and you were my main inspiration (along w/ two other content creators) on trying out DMing for my friends. I am SUPER pumped to see what you come up with and very likely will transition from D&D to your DC20 RPG!! Love it! Keep it coming.
OMG Coach! This is pretty much what I've been looking to build myself. I've been toying with making a modular system for years now, and this sounds like it's going to hit several of my needs at once!
The limitations that the 6 attributes in D&D place on game balance is something I've complained about for years. I've long thought that Dex should be divided into precision and agility, while Wisdom should be divided into intuition and determination (similar to your idea of "grit") I love the idea of Mana points and the possibility of pushing beyond your limitations at a cost. I am thrilled to see you working on this and more than willing to wait for a quality polished product from you and your team.
Can’t wait to see more coach! Just a little feedback, I just wrapped up my Rime of the Frostmaiden Campaign in 5e and it went to 20th level, I used a ton of your house rules for skill checks and travel and they were great! I’m a 30 year DM/GM and have run every edition of the game since 1e including Pathfinder 1e after 4e came out. I backed AAA and love your stuff! I’m looking forward to seeing your system grow!
YES!!!! I haven't even seen the fine details of this system yet and you can already count me in! You have literally hit every problem I had with current TTRPGs with this one system, ESPECIALLY with the spell slots. Mana is the way to go!
Yesss been looking forward to this for a while. Can’t wait to dig in. Love reading all sorts of systems, but there’s something really appealing to me for seeing the many, many ways on twisting d20 combat games.
So many of your ideas are things I’ve been trying to design around. It’s like watching a smarter version of me, only re-working D&D instead of going with a completely new game. Watching you is making me excited for my own game and for yours. I’ll be there for the KS.
There is so much about this DC20 system that I like (smooth combat, a more mix-and-match approach to "multiclassing", the spell system, bringing the action point back, etc.) and I didn't really hear anything that made me sour. This sounds fantastic! I'll be keeping an eye out for new videos on the system. I'm strapped right now (you know how it is - supporting the family comes first), but, when it is possible, you'll see my name on your Patreon. Looking forward to DC20; it's gonna be epic!
When you mentioned that at 4th level you would get feats from other classes, I remembered that I had come up with a similar idea for a system that I was creating at one point and I just know that this system is definitely going to be my main system once it comes out. I am super excited for this. On a side note, I would love to see how your HP system works and the Grit Attribute (It would be interesting if the amount of Action Points you had was connected to your Grit in some way).
@@TheDungeonCoach Thank you for all the creative advice that you have given and the willingness to make such an awesome system in the midst of all this confusion. Although I am wondering, is the term "Grit" set in stone, or is it still open for consideration? In my opinion, or the opinion of my critical side, the term "Resolve" or "Volition" sounds a bit more like a heroic system and less like a "gritty"(See what I did there?) realism system.
Really looking forward to more vids on this! Love to hear about Skill Points and of course, can’t wait to hear about combat. Also the grit attribute sounds sweet. Been looking for a new magic system so really wanting to hear about mana points. Not financially able to support you yet but hopefully here soon I’ll be able to help with the play test. Thanks again Coach!
Heck yeah!! This will work amazingly with the game I run for my kids. It's more homebrew than anything else and a system like this would honestly work better than what I'm doing with 5e. I can't wait to see where you take this!
Love the magic point idea, that is kind of like the optional rules in the back. I also agree with the action point system good luck with this endeavor!
I'm in, DC! I've been interested about all the new systems being announced, but also very hesitant. But you described exactly what I'm looking for and the kind of improvements it would take to make me switch. Plus, after watching your channel for years, and buying AA, I have a lot of faith in what you design. I'm seriously excited about DC 20 RPG!
Dear Dungeon Coach, I am very excited about DC20 RPG. I am a current 5e DM with seven players that all started as newbies. I see the faults in 5e much more clearly than my players, and I am very sick of WOTC current direction, and this disapproval is not exclusive to the OGL. I love the ideas you have suggested, and when this current campaign ends (1-2 years) I am not sure I want to stay with 5e. Your system seems so great and checks all the boxes I was looking for. I am glad you want to move forward with this project and I pray you succeed.
Jason... to know that there are people like you that would love to have something fresh to move to in 1-2 years... I GOT YOU! I want to make this happen in that time frame SO BAD! So here we go!
I love the addition of a mana system to replace spell slots, we use a similar system that we call spell burn. It still uses spell slots, but you can burn spell slots of higher or lower levels in order to cast something that you want to. It can hurt you if you burn more spell slots than you spend though.
I'm excited. Not sure if you recognize me, because I haven't been an *active* member of the community for a while, but I have still been following you since you started the channel. If I could preorder right now, I would. Your system sounds like it's pretty far along, so I might be too late for suggestions. But I'm just going to throw some vague concepts out there that you can use or ignore. Just some things that I would have liked to see in 5e. 1. The half-baked, half-abandoned system I was working on for a while had a smaller list of classes to make initial character creation more approachable to newbies. Each class had three sub-classes at level two, each sub-class had three sub-sub-classes at level four, and each SSC had another two sub-sub-sub-classes at level six. Less choice in the early game, way more choice as the game progressed. 2. Slightly harder, better defined magic system. The lore of where magic comes from and how it works was baked in to the system a bit. I feel like clerics and wizards should be casting magic in very different ways, and 5e makes them feel very samey. 3. In 5e, you can build a Divination wizard, but only cast Evocation spells, with absolutely no incentive to stick to your school. My solution rewarded the player for sticking to their school, rather than punishing or restricting them for casting outside of their school, because reward > punishment. 4. I merged a lot of skills to make the list much shorter. For example, instead of rolling for acrobatics, just roll a dexterity-based athletics. I had it down to 10 skills, and that's after I added a few that 5e is lacking. 5. Combat mechanics were ripped straight from Cogent, because that reverse-initiative thing is bitching. Anyway, looking forward to whatever you produce. I know it will be great, because so far everything you have done with this channel has. You're still my favorite TTRPG personality on RUclips. Keep up the good work!
I took notes on ALL of your notes, so good ideas there man! Thank you for being here since the beginning!! lol But the development is far along, yes, BUT that doesnt mean I dont still take on good feedback as I move into an alpha release etc :)
16:43 - love that!! Feels different. Like a sorcerer's Fireball could be small range, maybe smaller area, but more damage than a Wizards Fireball. Or a Wizards can spend more "Mana" to increase an attribute of a spell (duration, distance, damage, or even element damage).
I’m always skeptical about new game systems trying to reinvent and/or improve D&D, but you have a proven track record of high quality work. I look forward to DC20.
Looking forward to this. I’m looking to move on from DMing, but I would be very interested in seeing a d20 system from you! Would love to help in any way as well!
Excited for this. Love all the stuff of yours that I've used. Been making my own homebrew world for a while that I think this would be a awesome system for. I want to know more about all of these things, but I would have to say the combat and the magic systems intrigue me the most off the top. 7 & 10. But i'd be happy to learn more about everything. Keep up the good work sir.
Coach, I can't express how excited I am to hear that you're finally taking this step! I've been following you for a long time now and have been using your ideas and inspiration in all of my games. I've even been following you and using your ideas and inspiration for a while now, and even have been mixing it in with the "Big Dogs". Your stuff is truly good and can stand on its own, don't worry. I do want to request clarification on the action point system and your mana system, those two seem to be the most interesting right now
Thanks Justin! Im glad you see me as a Big Dog (eventually!) and I cant wait to really take this to the next level! The FIRST place to see the deep dive on this will be on the Patron Live Streams I do where I showcase rules and answer questions, then I release these rules to patrons as they are going through alpha and beta testing. If there is enough interest for me to make YT videos on them then I 100% will!
I promise I will run my next campaign in your new system. I've been bingeing your content non-stop and am very excited to learn about what you've got coming up next! Good luck and may inspiration be bountiful!
Great concept. I can't wait to give it a try. You missed a great video opening opportunity, you could have draw a circle on the ground and literally throw a hat in. 😁
Alkander Almanac is seriously amazing, its the very best supplement I've ever seen. Seriously buy it and then buy DCRPG. I will absolutely be playing DCRPG
20+ years ago I was working on wirting a sytem and I scrapped it when the OGL came out. I also used manapoints and made that a stat. If you used up all your mana you could cast still or cast beyond your level point value but you would get mana burn directly to the applicable stat based on the spell damage type.
Love the grit stat!! I added an energy gauge that is customizable. Luck, knowledge, power (now definitely calling it grit.), flexibility, and push. Each of these have different abilities to do cool stuff buy you have to roll hit dice to fill up. So like hp/inspiration combined
This sounds SUPER exciting, I can't wait to see what you come up with. As for my thoughts on everything: 1. Attributes: I've never really understood the separation of Wisdom and Intelligence, so I am hoping that those are the stats you are combining to make space for Grit. Grit also just makes sense as the mental counterpart to Constitution, it definitely feels like it has a place in this game! 2. Progression and Custom Classes: This sounds super exciting, and I'm interested in seeing how you implement this. Not sure Im 100% sold on the idea of making a Charisma Barbarian possible but I really like the idea and am interested to see what you come up with! 3. Finally, I like the idea of action points way more, PF2e's action economy is incredible so I hope you can come up with something that is as good or better than it. Quick idea that you may have had, but this sounds like a perfect opportunity to tie Constitution into the game even more, maybe after fights/physically demanding activities you can make a check against exhaustion, which hampers your action points in combat when its low, but when it ramps up you get more downsides.
I like to think of the mental stats as different kinds of smarts. Intelligence is your book smarts, Wisdom is your street smarts, and Charisma is your social smarts. The classic thing I like to say to people is "it takes intelligence to know that a tomato is a fruit. It takes wisdom to know that a tomato does not belong in a fruit salad. It takes charisma to convince someone to put a tomato in a fruit salad."
1. Exactly, they are combined into ONE stat called "Mind" 2. THAT will be annouced to Patrons this thursday in the live stream there, and in a few weeks in a video for sure! 3. You are on the right track for where we are going with the action points and yes tieing them to Con and exhaustion is a thing too!
I'm about to finish my modified Storm King's Thunder and whenever I DM next, it's DC20 all the way!! I'm pumped! One of my besties is running our next campaign (for the first time) and I plan to have a sit down pre-session 0 with him, myself, and my sticky note filled Alkander's Almanac
Coach!!! Look at you, swinging for the fences!!! Good for you, man!!! I am interested to hear more about every aspect of this system going forward, it sounds interesting!!! Looking forward to the future!!!
I love spell casters, 100% agree about spell slots...I love the mana pool idea, thats great and so classic to many RPG video games. What about a spell proficiency list? Spells that you use more often become cheaper to cast (less mana). Could also be a class feature as you level.
I have been working on a 5e-like TTRPG game system for over a year and I'd like to share some insights. First, I applaud your changes. My system strives to solve similar problems. The hardest problem to solve is the formula for creating balanced/challenging encounters. 5e is good at it and Pathfinder is EXCELLENT at it. My system's goal was to nerf HP gains (start around 15 and max out at 40 ish). I used damage resistance from armor with 5 tiers for Light, Medium and Heavy armor and Skilled Dodge feats (1/2 dmg) that would allow high-level characters to survive stronger bosses. D&D uses HP and ever-increasing damage as the primary tool for determining character strength and monster CR. I'm happy with my system but creating balanced/challenging encounters is really difficult for me and I wrote it. Balancing magic damage against characters and monsters with lower HP is another big challenge. I applaud your mission and I'm excited to see where it goes!
LOVE that thought and I am taking notes on the nuggest you just threw down to see If they come in handy so make sure I nail the ranges for health and damage
You're gonna kill it! Super stoked to see what you come up with. ESPECIALLY after seeing what you did with Alkander's. Keep your head up, we're cheering for you!
Dude. Literally every point you make and elaborate on has me so excited and eager to try this thing out. I will be spending time and money in your system and I'm glad you love your community!
"that d20 is too important to my soul" 100% with you, buddy. Sometimes people make uncompelling arguments for or against d20 vs 3d6 vs nDx systems... But at the end of the day all that really matters, more than any probability distribution, is how you feel when you hold the dice.
Super pumped about this! I am going to be following this excitedly. I love your content and your homebrew rules are always refreshing and feel satisfying as fixes to the game. I would like a deeper dive in #6 and #10, however, I feel like you should play the combat system close to the chest until we get closer to your full release. I want you to get credit as the creator of a genuinely great system and no one should take that from you and your team! Keep up the great work coach!
For those tuning into DCs videos for the first time you should really play attention. Been running his other content for awhile now and this new system will guaranteed be the best released ever.
I think your timing is perfect. People are looking for alternatives now, and yours is definitely worth a look. You've got some really good ideas and it will be interesting to see how you work them all out. Plus, even if players stick with D&D, I've always been the type to check out other systems to see what I can incorporate or adapt for my game. There's always room on the shelf and at the table for more games. Best wishes!
I'll be watching for more on this - the custom class system sounds exactly like something I've been looking for - A way to build your skills across classes to build the character you want, I always thought of FFT's Job system and nothing I've yet found has done it in a way that didn't feel overwhelming. Can't wait!
I'll be curious to see your new system. I agree completely with your magic/mana idea and was working on my own home brew idea based on 'magic points'. D&D is great but so many things could be improved so when they started asking for ideas I was like why don't I just do my own way instead of giving ideas to them! Best of luck working out your system!
Love to see people not afraid to swing for the fences. Appreciate the new variations you’re building in based on extensive experience combined with an understanding of the maths involved to maintain balance. Exited to learn more!
Absolutely on board. I do a lot of this in my games as is, but I am excited for a formal system like this to call home. I have loads of thoughts, but too many to put here.
I've loved most of the custom rules you've introduced, and appreciate that when there's a discrepancy in how they work you encourage ppl to modify them. Can't wait to see what the full system is all about!
I am very excited for this! I hope you do open playtesting that isn’t restricted to your Patreon; I can’t afford it, despite how much I love your content, and I think the more voices shaping this the better. D&D 5e captured something magic and I’m confident with properly tested overhauls this could be something even more magic, especially without WotC.
Definitely want to know more about faced paced combat and hit points. It's the main thing I like about stats without number is how much faster combat is.
Thank you AJ! Patreon is the #1 way, the steady support will be what helps keep this thing going forward and pick up traction! THEN there will be a Kickstarter to do a print run and expand this even further! Glad you want to be a part of it!
Hey Coach! I love some of these design pillars, particularly the action points and magic systems. I am super excited to see more. I also love taking features from other classes because multiclassing is one of my favorite things to do in 5e (it makes me feel like I am building a more unique character). This reminds me of the Pathfinder 2e multiclass system. My hesitation for DC20 is that you have to wait until 4th level to start pulling other class features. For example in 5e, I love a 1-level dip into Rogue if I want my character to be good at certain skills. Or a 2-level dip into Druid so my fighter can be a shapeshifter. Or a 1-level dip into Barbarian so my monk can "lose control" and start raging, etc. These options all allow my specific character concept to come to life by levels 2 or 3 generally, leaving (even in a 10-level system) a lot of the character's career. How will you handle making these unique concepts come online before level 4? Perhaps a level 1 or level 2 feat option that lets you draw from other classes already. For example right now I am trying to build a rogue/ranger that can transform into a crow. There is no way to make this happen in 5e until at least 9th or 10th level, but if we bend Wild Shape to allow a bird then it can come online around level 4. But I want this "bird animagus" feature to be a core part of the character concept, so waiting even until 4th level is tough. How would you handle this in DC20?
OK this is cool as hell. I've been thinking about creating my own TTRPG for a while, because none of the ones I've found have really managed to scratch the itch of mana-based magic and stat-increase progression from video games, combined with the way the TTRPG Lancer uses roleplay stats vs. combat stats, and otherwise just made into regular D&D. So this is basically my favorite TTRPG ever and I barely know anything.
Please give Martial Classes more abilities. Combat is always boring whenever the only moves you got is a few "hit 1 creature hard or harder." Some ideas: A super jump (think physical Misty Step) that causes small damage (1d4) when landing next to an enemy, Spiral swing (hit multiple enemies), Grapple Train (run through enemies in a straight line moving them to where you land (maybe randomize how many spaces they can run) (will allow fighters to think better about where to place themselves)). Those of us who play understand the battlefield purpose of our physical classes however its lame all we do is strike hard and thats it whilst the wizard is casting a spell to delete an army of mountain sized giants out of existence lol. Been following you for a while so I know this system is going to be epic! Cant wait!
I love that you’re working on your own system! I love what you’re talking about so far with your system. One thing that I’d love to see is something that Warhammer Fantasy does. In melee combat the system uses opposing rolls. So if a goblin is attacking a PC the player gets to roll their melee skill to beat the goblins attack. With that it keeps the player involved even when it not their turn as they get to “actively” defend themselves rather than letting AC “passively” protect them. I loved this idea and would love to see players be more involved in combat especially when it’s not their turn!
Wow, sounds amazing... your passion shows. Wishing you success. Great ideas around character creation, hit points and especially magic (I hate spell slots too), using mana system sounds great.
i love mana system. i never thought of pushing yourself. but i do have a spell recharge system to insentivise not spell spamming with the same spell, and to learn more creative methods
I’m excited to see the finished product, & I wanted to mention, what if HP stayed relatively lower & you used stamina to pad it & use stamina to block or perry attacks.
Pivoted to make my own I’ve been working on as well! Best of luck to both of us. Mines more complex and adaptable I’m hoping to make it good for new players too. I also have a list of principles. Aiming to make the best TTRPG! Of course that’s best to ‘me’. I’ll likely be buying and supporting yours once it’s out! You are great at rules so I believe your will be really good! If I really love yours I could mod content from mine to have a variant book for your system! I have plans for more books under my system. Settings/adventures and such could be modified into your system from mine and printed 3rd party to be compatible in your system. But we still need to wait and see of course. Best of luck to all of us in the TTRPG community.
You are landing on your feet like a cat. GO COACH!

I've long thought that Dex should be divided into precision and agility, while Wisdom should be divided into intuition and determination (similar to your idea of "grit")
I love the idea of Mana points and the possibility of pushing beyond your limitations at a cost.
Thank you for being a BIG part of this community then and I am honored to have helped your campaigns! :)
Loving the concepts, can't wait to back your system!
I'm jumping in with the cheer squad. Way to bounce back! You're already reacting, adapting, and on track to win it by the fourth quarter. Go Coach!
YES! Thank you! Im ready to go into overtime if I need to! (see what I did there with your analogy??) lol
I was thinking willpower "grit" as something to go side by side with HP. Also really like the low atributte start from a love of zero level starts.
I am honored!! Thank you! Yes I want to tie in attributes to the combat system for sure!
Thanks for the hype brother! And NO WORRIES, just do what you can to share it around and check out the videos like what I dropped today
Heck yeah!! This will work amazingly with the game I run for my kids. It's more homebrew than anything else and a system like this would honestly work better than what I'm doing with 5e. I can't wait to see where you take this!
I cant wait for people to take pieces of this system and use in in their home games like this!! YES
This sounds really good :) the magic change is interesting and grit seems fun too! Nice :D
Thank you! AAA was my proof of the pudding! Now its time to make my own pudding... wow... that analogy got weird! lol
Thank you for being here since the beginning!! lol
But the development is far along, yes, BUT that doesnt mean I dont still take on good feedback as I move into an alpha release etc :)
16:43 - love that!! Feels different. Like a sorcerer's Fireball could be small range, maybe smaller area, but more damage than a Wizards Fireball. Or a Wizards can spend more "Mana" to increase an attribute of a spell (duration, distance, damage, or even element damage).
Exactly! Spellcasters should FEEL different to play in bigger ways! Were synced up!
I’m always skeptical about new game systems trying to reinvent and/or improve D&D, but you have a proven track record of high quality work. I look forward to DC20.
I hoped that my work would give me a good resume! I appreciate that!!!
Looking forward to this. I’m looking to move on from DMing, but I would be very interested in seeing a d20 system from you! Would love to help in any way as well!
Thank you for that! Patrons will have feedback windows to help make this as BEST as we can!
Great to hear! I do my best and glad to see it helping actual people :)
This covers all the issues I have with D&D 5e, very excited to see your system!
Love how excited you are about this, seeing how worried you were just a couple of short days ago. I will check it out!
Let’s Go, Coach! I’ve loved Alkander’s Almanac and am stoked about this as the great new thing!!
So hyped for this! Can't wait to play test!
I promise I will run my next campaign in your new system. I've been bingeing your content non-stop and am very excited to learn about what you've got coming up next! Good luck and may inspiration be bountiful!
LETS GOOOO!! I gotta get it all ready for you now! lol brb
Great concept. I can't wait to give it a try.
You missed a great video opening opportunity, you could have draw a circle on the ground and literally throw a hat in. 😁
Next time! LOL
Alkander Almanac is seriously amazing, its the very best supplement I've ever seen. Seriously buy it and then buy DCRPG. I will absolutely be playing DCRPG
Thank you sillymonger! Glad to have you on board!
20+ years ago I was working on wirting a sytem and I scrapped it when the OGL came out. I also used manapoints and made that a stat. If you used up all your mana you could cast still or cast beyond your level point value but you would get mana burn directly to the applicable stat based on the spell damage type.
I have a bunch of other things that never made it into print.
I'm so HYPE for this!!!!!
As for my thoughts on everything:
1. Exactly, they are combined into ONE stat called "Mind"
Yes! I also want to have signature spells (spells you use all the time) have benefits too!
Thank you for all of your content in the past and in the future. This comment is really just for the algorithm
Glad you enjoy it!
Coach!!! You gave me super excited!! 🎉 I’m in!
Can’t wait to hear the details of your system!
Dude. Literally every point you make and elaborate on has me so excited and eager to try this thing out. I will be spending time and money in your system and I'm glad you love your community!
Love this community! None of this would be possible without YALL!! :)
"that d20 is too important to my soul"
100% with you, buddy.
Sometimes people make uncompelling arguments for or against d20 vs 3d6 vs nDx systems... But at the end of the day all that really matters, more than any probability distribution, is how you feel when you hold the dice.
We're d20 bros!!
a nat 1 and nat 20... are TOO GOOD and you cant get that from seeing 3 1's on 3 separte dice... lol I agree 100%
Absolutely interesting everything i hear. And also love your passion. I want to see more of this DC20. Looks so so promising, man.
This is really exciting! Hopefully the core rules are scenario agnostic so you can use 1 system for all kinds of genre.
My friend shared this with me, and we've both just been going nuts about it saying how we love the changes and we're looking forward to seeing more.
System agnostic plus your own indie game is a wonderful thing. So happy with your channel, energy, and hard work on all this. Love it!
For those tuning into DCs videos for the first time you should really play attention. Been running his other content for awhile now and this new system will guaranteed be the best released ever.
JORDAN! Thank you for that! I appreciate it!
I know everyone's gonna be asking about the fast passed combat but, honestly, I really want to know about this "Open Character Creation" concept!
Thats a longer story for a video :)
Best of luck and keep up the great work! Hope your work gets the recognition it deserves.
Thanks Coach. Super excited and glad I joined the Patreon recently (just in time).
THANK YOU for that! Welcome and you are a HUGE fuel to this fire now too!
I'm so excited about this! Can't wait to hear your team's take on these things!
Love to see people not afraid to swing for the fences. Appreciate the new variations you’re building in based on extensive experience combined with an understanding of the maths involved to maintain balance. Exited to learn more!
Swing for the fences! I love it! LETS GOOO
I'm so happy for you, dude!
I love your excitement!
Play testing will be for patrons only, but send me an email or talk to DC Artificer on discord, and I can figure something out with you!
Definitely want to know more about faced paced combat and hit points. It's the main thing I like about stats without number is how much faster combat is.
I can’t wait to back your new system, coach! Please keep us informed and how to do that.
Thank you AJ! Patreon is the #1 way, the steady support will be what helps keep this thing going forward and pick up traction! THEN there will be a Kickstarter to do a print run and expand this even further! Glad you want to be a part of it!
Yesss we need even more videos on this than we do of you talking about 5e!!!
Completely love this, Coach. I will 100% buy in. Thanks for your creativity and hard work!
Real excited to follow along with this! Pumped to see the changes and tweaks along the way.
Cant wait!
If you have seen my AAA book, then you know I LOVE martial abilities, that is 100% going to be a thing!
Your magic system sounds like my Homebrew for my wizard campaign in my own setting
Would live to see more, have been thinking about making my own system
I would love to learn more about points 5 and 6 in a future video.
Wow, sounds amazing... your passion shows. Wishing you success.
Great ideas around character creation, hit points and especially magic (I hate spell slots too), using mana system sounds great.
Congratulations WotC, you've just opened up a doorway to tons alternative uses of the D20 framework :)
I like your way of thinking. I think you're onto something really good here and I'd be interested in playing. Keep up the good work!
I really like some of these ideas! Awesome to see you innovating!
I was like 5 min's deep and your still talking about talking about the system, I respectfully had to dab out, Good Luck!
i love mana system. i never thought of pushing yourself. but i do have a spell recharge system to insentivise not spell spamming with the same spell, and to learn more creative methods
I’m excited to see the finished product, & I wanted to mention, what if HP stayed relatively lower & you used stamina to pad it & use stamina to block or perry attacks.
Oh let's get a look at the goods, Coach^^!
Making another video on this next week too!
Long time watcher, now a patron. Excited to see what you do next.
Thank you Christian! Glad to see you joinin in on the acrion!
