    That little yanmar has been well looked after . I use too restore older compacts and garden tractors and collect all the small compact attachments . They are a lot of fun too use . There are still a lot of those small yanmars around up here in Ontario . Hope you keep it in the family 👍

    I realize this is an old post but wanted to add my two cents. I bought a 1979 YM 135D in 1986. Had been used sorta hard based on appearance. I use it more than any non mowing tractor in my collection. Handy as frogs hair if you realize what it is. No hour meter on it, but lots by now. The only maintenance is a clutch adjustment and it might need brakes after 43 years. I have since bought 4 more to use. A 1301D w loader, 186D for belly mowing, 226D for rototilling/3 pt mowing, and a 2210B w power steering for plowing/tillage. A couple issues to address but nothing serious. Parts are available!

    I sure wouldn’t call a 94 model an antique! Maybe something from the 60’s or more like the 50’s. Looks like a good little tractor though: impressed!

      Edit…. Depends on the state….some 20 years, some 40 years. But it’s crazy thinking something In the 90’s could be an “antique” …feels like yesterday

    Neat little tractors for sure yanmar and kubota were smart to see the need for the sub compact - compact tractors in the USA and really opened it up to what we have today with all the different offerings from too many to name . And that adjustable tread setting you show on the rear axel is somthing we have on our large broad acre tractors so that means the yanmar had a real rear bar axel lol not somthing we see on all of the sub compacts today so much

    I was going to say it looks older than 1994, seems a few people have looked it up and it is older. In excellent shape though, well taken care of and still gets the job done. ;) My mother is in NC, beautiful land around there. Our Hesston has the ability to change the width of where the wheels sit also, but you better have another tractor available to move them. Really cool that this little Yanmar can do the same.

    • @HamiltonvilleFarm
      @HamiltonvilleFarm  5 лет назад +1

      The bill of sale said 1994 from the dealer. But I thought the same thing? Maybe the person Sonny bought if from was the second owner and that guy bought it in 1994? Sonny bought it about a few years back. So he isn't the first owner. So I was going off the bill of sale.

      Hamiltonville Farm bought the Ford 2600 Diesel in 95 for $4500 put a couple seals on it, a tractor supply implement single stage paint job on it, used it for 5 years & sold it for $6500. If that’s an antique, what does that make my 1975 YM240? And what’s a safety switch.? 🙂 On the other hand, it looks like you’ve taken a lot better care of yours. And how’s the maintenance been? Other than breaking a couple front spindles because of overloading my front loader doing some landscaping, my maintenance has consisted of refueling and changing oil once in a while. From what I’m hearing these Yanmars are pretty much maintenance free.

    had a yanmar ym 1500, for a few years, it was decent, light but had lots of power. Worst thing was, is living in michigan it was a cold blooded machine. If it ducked under 40 degrees, it was almost pointless to try starting it. This was a very early model, had no provision for glow plugs, they did have an option for a fuel cup intake heater, but the model i had never had one, and was shaped a bit different than the later version. I miss it a bit here and there, Was real hand size. But i sold it and got a kioti ck 2610 with a loader and have never looked back.
