I think the calumet 16 is a heavy hitter and pretty easy to find for another bottle over 100

I love rye whiskey. I’ve never had Michter’s 10 rye. Did just pick up Black Maple Hill rye gonna crack that and see how delicious it is. I’m gonna compare it to the high west bourye I got on vacation. Good call on including Flaming Heart Dan. I have the original 2018 one I can’t wait to find 2022 or whenever the next release is. The idea of Octomore being findable, lol. I know it's different for everyone depending on where you're located, but in my area, it's basically Big Foot...you hear about it all the time, but you've never actually seen one.

Buddy poured me some Laphroag 10 last time we had a few pours. Shit smelled like you took the top off a grease tube and stuck it in an ashtray. 😖😖😖 and tasted the same. 😖 but he did say the redbreast he got for his birthday was crushable.

There's a pretty significant different but we do like both quite a bit!

Murray hill is my least favorite of the joseph magnus line. It takes all the stuff that makes the other two great, and makes it lighter sweeter and brighter.

Kind of have a random question. I have a lot of bourbon/whiskey left over after a journey and realized I’m not a whiskey bourbon fan. I live in Georgia, anyone know how to offload it? I don’t have anything special, basic beginners stuff. Buffalo Trace, Angels Envy, Woodford Reserve, Knob creek Maple, random bottles. What do people do to get rid of this stuff besides sadly pouring it out?
Give it to friends as gifts lol. Not really options for selling open bottles.

It's good but the special release is just so much better
My personal opinion is no. I bought mine for $115 and I do like it. I don't think it's bad at all. But I think it should be more of a $70-$80 bottle than $115. I've never had that special release one Sean showed in the vid so I don't know if that differs or not.

Man, I've said it before but bourbon hunting in So Cal SUCKS!!!!! Recently purchased the Michters 10 Bourbon for my Bro-in-law and it set me back $400 at the only store I could find it at!!! The Rye was the same price. They do have the Michters barrel proof Rye/Bourbon for $200, but again that seems higher than what most people pay in the rest of the country. I'm definitely gonna have to retire too another state if I plan on buying and drinking the good sh!t

We don't have any new ones as they're getting harder to get but holy shit the batch 9/10 American were absolutely incredible!
Where do you find it? I've never seen a single Old Carter in my life aside from at a single bar I went to in Kentucky.
The new Bourye was not good this year. I loved all the bourye from 16 to 19 but this new one is not good, especially at 40 dollars more than the last release.
This is easily the best Boureye I've had and I've had them since 2015 lol.

Several of the previous releases were all MGP. This blend has heaven hill, their distillate and MGP and it's significantly better than the last handful of Boureye's, it's not even close.
