Honestly that was one of the hardest questions in the quiz by far. I'm colorblind and I only missed three questions, that being one of them.
I thought that Gengar's eyes were too dark, I remembered them being bright red.

man, the questions that change the shiny colors a shade or two from the real ones are brutal because home sprites are already scuffed like that sometimes lmao
facts. so many times where it's like (uhh that's a different shade altogether) SV does that a lot. Also the way Hawlucha is facing did not show the green and that really confused me.
So true. I guessed Carbink 'cuz the grey is darker for the shiny, But from this video I learned it doesn't show in the home render.
For me, it was the tyrunt. I've only seen its shiny in the games when it's desaturated, I had no idea it was so vibrant

When I saw Metagross pop up I instantly remembered the rap cypher line "when you fuckin' with the Blue Cross" and went HOLD UP. It also happens to be my second favorite shiny.

Ariados. Underappreciated 'mon normally but shiny it looks even cooler with the purple. Though shoutout to shiny Aggron too, that teal is under appreciated as well.
@@absolutexzerox1 ooh, I forgot about Ariados! I definitely approve of the shiny coloration, and while I may not agree with shiny aggron’s shiny coloring (I like the shiny variants that are more noticeable and pleasing to the eye, so that’s just my opinion), purple is a solid color preference.
I’m a fan of shiny Swampert, personally- not sure if it’s enough to be my top favorite but it’s definitely a contender.
@@brendent.934 Yeah the purple and blue shinies really pop off for me, and while I can understand Aggron being not most people's type it just pops for me. Idk why. Though I can get behind Swampert, as when I was younger it looked meh to me but over the years I've come to really appreciate it. If it weren't for Sceptile it'd be my favorite gen lll startter shiny.

Barbaracle is a group of barnacles that have combined into a barbarian!
Barnacles are small soft ocean creatures smaller than a kernel of corn that create a shell around them and cement themselves to rocks or other things like crab shells or maybe even whales. Over time, they can get bigger than a quarter as they make bigger shells! They stick a fan out of the hole in the center that reaches out and drags back plankton for consumption. Having the fan be shaped like a hand is an interesting interpretation! These creatures often live together in colonies, much like coral or sponges do. Barbaracle's colony can proctect itself with its barbaric fists 😊
I don't think they're supposed to barnacle fans. I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be stalked barnacles, which sorta look like claws already.

That barnacle creates a stalk to sit apon and then creates its shell around it at the top, leaving the shell looking like claws due to the rose-petal-like formation of the shell walls, that is, forming a side then switching to another random direction

Only missed 11 and 13. I had a shiny Tyrunt in PoGo and for some reason it’s rendered darker in-game than the image that Noki used, and I genuinely thought that mega Metagross was a solid silver/gold.
I know there are people who only started at Sun and Moon and havent played the X and Y games but the little to no knowledge they had of what the megas looked like is kinda wild

I actually knew the talonflame one, bc i saw the shiny before and was like:
"what the hell am i looking at??? Why is talonflames shiny so ugly?? There is SOOOOO much potential, and you did THIS??????"
I got the Carbink question right not because of the _actual_ reason the shiny was different, but because I remembered the body being MUCH darker than the Home sprite shows.
I then searched on Google what does shiny Carbink look in-game and it was, in fact, darker than the Home sprite lol; in Home it looks almost the same as regular Carbink, which is an weird change to make.

I got it wrong and was shocked since I have a shiny carbink in us/um and I swore he was the same shade of blue all over since I loved him for his blue, but I guess since I haven't played in years I just forgot the small differences
The shiny Charizard-X (19:34) is supposed to reference the original colors of shiny charizard that morphed over a span of time to be darker!
That's not true what so ever, original colours for shiny Charizard is what Charizard Y is

@@kannan07 no lol there was a time when Charizard's shiny was purple with green wings and a purple flame, they changed it because of marketing. Neither of you are right. (btw they have changed multiple shinies over the years and none that ever needed changing.)

I hunted for almost 20 hours on and off for talonflame once and use it constantly for egg hatching so immediately I knew it was wrong without knowing what some of the others shinies even looked like
I didn't think I knew this much about 6th gen shinies, I was so confused when the Talonflame and Metagross ones were master questions💀

I knew this video was gonna be a riot when i see them both miss shiny garchomp and thank that gengar one of the most famous shiny megas was wrong and barbacle is based on a barnicle
I am proud of myself for getting everything right besides mega shiny metagross. I do feel like this one was just really easy, because the gen 6 games were very popular and it's newer than other generations that you did a quiz for. the shiny are basically so "fresh and new" that I just know them really well in comparison.
Twinning. I also missed the blue cross on Metagross. The Tyrunt round was a little hard because I initially was like "why is that Tyrunt so dark" not thinking it was because it was the answer.
I got everything right except tyrunt, the blue tripped me up

Yeah I got the Talonflame question right, at first I thought it was my monitor making it look more orange but I trusted my instincts and remembered it being much more red instead of orange!
Tyrunt stumped me though, I was certain the blue was consistent!
I got the Flabebe bonus question because the Flabebe line is one of my favorites!
I've only shiny hunted for Duraludon (on radical red), but I got each of them right.

I vividly remembered tyrunt's shiny for some reason. It getting a darker shade of blue mirrors its normal form turning from brown to red
Managed a 13/14, only missing the fossil question. Same line of thought as Tos. Worst part was I figured that if I was wrong that Noki had just recolored Tyrunt to match Tyrantrum because it was the one I didn't know, so well played Noki.

12/14. Not surprised about missing Carbink, but getting Metagross wrong kinda hurts, considering it's one of the few legit shinies I have outside of Showdown
tbf reg metagross’ shiny looks like that and you usually spend most of your time looking at the backside of your pokemon in showdown so I don’t blame ya for getting that one wrong.

I got 13/14! The metagross question tripped me up because I hadn't actually seen a lot of any of those megas, and I was more suspicious of gallade not having more blue on it. Love these quizzes and I'm excited for gen 7!

Tyrunt was too hard without environmental context. Just a slight shade shift
Them saying Mega Gengar, probably the best and without a doubt the most improved upon the base form shiny of all of them is criminal lol.
It's funny that the last question was one of the easiest of the second half of the video to me.
(then again, I'm a rare ball collector and tend to be very familiar with mons that have different forms - not shinies necessarily, just stuff like knowing the Flabébé colours because you need to collect all 5 if you want to breed them down in whichever ball)
Kalos is my absolute favorite region, so this shiny quiz was easy, 14 out of 14!!

Those pokemon home sprites are definitely a bit off. Shiny Carbink’s body is much darker.

Metagross was honestly the easiest one for me because I remember seeing Steven using his shiny mega metagross in the anime a few times, it’s also one of my favorite shiny Pokemon ever

I may have missed it, but have you done a shiny "knowledge" quiz? Like "What pokemon is most often someone's first non-guaranteed (to account for the Lake of Rage gyarados) shiny?" (Probably zubat, it's in a lot of games and you tend to see it often) Or "What is the most common shiny pokemon color?" What is the rarest wild shiny? Like authentic sinistea, gen3 feebas, gen4 munchlax, etc. I actually don't know if there's shiny hunting lore for questions like "Who popularized shiny hunting?"

I just KNEW instantly and I was almost convinced listening to the debate, but i held my gut reaction xD
this is the first of these quizzes to truly make me feel old. Considering X/Y and ORAS were the first games I paid attention to every leak for (14 y/o me was OBSESSED with CoroCoro drops and the like) it makes sense that all of these are burned into my brain moreso than the gens that came before. Got everything right except for tyrunt, that one was diabolical!

Getting the Talonflame question right was nice. I used one on my Scarlet team and it just looked way too orange. There wasn’t enough red
