I also share your sentiments and feel like those who have passed are still here with us and watching over us. I lost my mom to cancer when she was only 56 years old and that was such a hard time for me. Her passing changed me as a person and from that day forward I chose to live each day to its fullest. I try to never take anything for granted, be thankful for each day, and always tell my family and friends that I love them. Life is precious and I don't want to waste a minute of it. The world needs more positive people like you Julie to help spread love and light.

I'm sorry you lost your mom so young, Julie. I don't think you can ever prepare yourself for the heartbreak that comes with losing loved ones. I'm glad you feel this way too. My husband said the same thing. He said losing his Dad and his wife so young made him realize what was important and to not sweat the small stuff.
My kids and I have a code word so if they see a psychic medium they'll know it's me. 😂 We chose it years ago when we used to watch Long Island Medium. They've been hearing me talk about this for years. I think this "knowing" that we have, allows us to live our lives without fear. I saw a saying the other day that said "Let go and let God". I loved that saying. When I read it, I take a deep breath and relax.
God, meaning loving and light. ✨ 😍

Julie, I share your sentiments. I have MS and it’s been hard on my family. I have learned to forgive myself and appreciate my family for sticking with me. I have also learned to live like I have no tomorrow, and truly love every single moment.
    Thanks for this.

MS is so hard, Robin. When were you diagnosed? Do you have consistent symptoms or do you have the type that flares? I thought I had that before I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Some of the symptoms are similar. UGH...what can we do but accept our path and do our best to make the most of every minute? I do allow myself to be sad sometimes. I'm sure you must too. But we kick ourselves in the butt and keep going, keep smiling and keep trying. How old are your children?

@@JulieMeikle I was diagnosed in 2005, a year after my husband and I got married. We had to make the decision within months to have a child so I could start treatment. He is 16 now and he is the bright light that came out of crappy situation. I’m pretty stable now, and don’t have symptoms that alter my lifestyle. I do have joint/muscle pain and I get confused very easily which is unbelievably frustrating. Every know and then, I will stay in bed all day, but nothing like I use to. Yes, I allow myself to be sad about it, but I keep a close eye on that as depression is prevalent in MS and I put my big-girl panties on and make myself DO something. There’s nothing that I can do about it but do my treatments and carry on. I know Lyme Disease is very similar to MS which is why they are both so hard to diagnose. I’m didn’t know you have Lyme’s Disease, you seem to have a good handle on it. At least we have a diagnosis’ and aren’t out still trying to figure crap out right?

You are such a kind lady. Funerals are so hard. At 62 soon to be 63 I’ve been busy getting all my important papers updated and in order so my daughter and granddaughter do not have to do anything but collect what’s theirs. It’s kinda hard to sit down and do advanced directive, 401k ‘s etc to make sure everything is up to date and we have to be extremely careful to dot every I and cross every T so to speak. It’s a good feeling to know that everything is completed and taken care of to make it super easy for our children if and or when we die. Like you said, it’s tough topics, but we have to have them. You look so pretty. So sorry once again for the loss of a dear friend.

My mom and dad have done the same thing. Everything is arranged and paid for. I would like to do that for our children too. I think of it often.
That's part of the reason why I want the basement clutter cleaned up. I don't want my kids to have to spend days going through our things trying to decide what to keep and what to throw away. I want it all done before we go. I know 52 is young but with my health the way it's been for so long, I've thought about dying a lot. I want my children to be free of as much responsibility as possible.

@@JulieMeikle we never know when it’s “ Our Time”. Last yr. I started in my closet, going thru everything, getting rid of all clothes I had not worn in a yr. Went thru many bins getting rid of so many papers, journals etc. it took me months Julie. I also declutterred Knick knacks etc that I knew my daughter would not want. It felt so good to have all that done, so my daughter could come in and not worry about what to throw away and keep. I take all my clothes and Knick knacks etc to The Women’s Shelter. The only thing that my daughter will shake her head at is all my shoes, handbags and clothes. lol. How have you been feeling? My appt with the specialist was such a disappointment and waste of time. So now, back to my neurosurgeon to get a new pain specialist to do my nerve blocks and nerve ablations. I have another tumor on my spinal cord at T 9, the large one they removed last Feb. was at T 11-10. Still in so much pain. Really sick of not being able to do things I so enjoy doing as my spine just won’t hold me up. I pray that your back pain has lessened and you’ve got a great specialist.

I LOVE & APPRECIATE the fact you posted this video, and for so many, many important reasons 🙏!! I come from a family of 6 siblings , I being the youngest @ 58 . And I can honestly say w/a true heart I’m deeply blessed and grateful for everyday I see the sunrise! Having 2 NYPD bros. , continuing their public service post 9-11 , and one barely surviving resulting from an assault @ the height of Covid on the N.Y. subway , that one must remain diligent everyday 🙌!! I married a 4th generation U.S. Marine (22 yrs retired) as my daughter married a Marine as well 🤗💖!! And she too was raised to embrace strength and courage early in her life , which had served her well as her husband narrowly made out it of Abbey Gate in Afghanistan💪👍!! These are just a fraction of things that have shaped us in continuing to be kind , empathetic, loving and caring people, bcuz simply put , it’s all about who you surround yourself with, and in essence, what’s the alternative 😌?? I know this sounds cliche , but life is so short, and it’s such a better feeling to live it w/out bitterness or regret 👌!! “That which does not kill us , makes us stronger”, and AMEN 🙏to that 🤩🥳!!
Thank you Julie for always being that positive force you bring to each one of us 🥰🩷!!!

Lynn, I have whole-body chills reading your comment. To be surrounded by so many people who give their energy to serve others is amazing. They all must be so special. My son is close to finishing his infantry training. He'll be done in a couple of weeks and then off to the Battalion where he'll continue training. He's chosen one of the hardest paths he could possibly choose. When he made the decision, he had been making good money working on sewer crews but said "I have a bigger purpose. I want to make a difference." I'm so proud of him. I'm proud of all my children of course.
I love your energy, Lynn!! 😍 Thank you for taking the time to tell me your story. xo

This gives me chills. You are an angel, Stine. I have thought about becoming a death doula many times. I believe so strongly that when we leave our bodies, we see our loved ones again, there is no pain, there is nothing but light and love. I feel like I could comfort those who are passing over but my health hasn't allowed me to follow through with that idea.
I know I would find it extremely hard as I know it has been for you to say goodbye to your loved ones. But your love and kindness had to bring so much comfort.
I was hired years ago to do a woman's makeup for her going away party. She was beautiful. She was dying of cancer so she decided to have a going away party for herself. She invited all her of friends and family. I was honoured to be a part of her experience. Her children were maybe 8 - 12 years old. They celebrated her life and all had a chance to say goodbye. Her smile was big and beautiful. I'll never forget her.

I kinda feel that I have known you fore a longer time then I have, I think you Wuld be a amazing dula, you are sensetiv in a good way, if something is off I think you are that person that have a 3 scens you have that feeling that you just know, hard too eksplane.
But it is a hard thing too do often, It takes a lot of energy of the person that are helping the dying person.
My mother said, you better not sit there and crying down into your coffee, when I'm gone I want you all to sellabrate my life, she wanted us too say goodbye writh smiles, coffee, wine, strawberry tarts, Danish pastries, sandwich, snacks, a liquor too the coffee, beer a whiskey.
She made me write down a message fore us all after the church ceremony.
      She said.
Don't let my last memory writh you be sad and hard too think off, selebrate my life, and our amazing times tougher.
I gave my mother her makeup on, her bedst clothes, and wig on before they came writh the casket a collected her.
She was ready fore her last ride 😊
At first it was a bit awkward, but slowly people started too talk and did enjoy all the good treats, at one point I was looking at people, you know that fealing that people are just right, as if they are vibrating because of the good mood everyone had, I'm so sure that my mother was there and enjoying the vibe there whas.
Yes it can be hard on the body, the dula gives a lot of energy and do get some too, I depend on how the person are that are leaving if it is good or sad energy.
I think You would be amazing too help a person too leave this world 🥰
      I have no doubt.

      You're not selfish, you're human.
My friend Kelly Lavallie posts videos every day. She lost her husband to a sudden heart attack recently and she's shared her journey on TikTok. He was young too and it happened without warning. She's very open and heartfelt.
He passed away last summer. You may want to start with the videos from last summer and work your way to the present. It may help you to hear what she has to say. I've learned a lot from her and she's helped many women who have gone through the same thing.
I've asked her to come here and chat with me on a livestream. She's an amazing woman who has so much to offer. I don't know when it will happen but I'll be sure to post the date in the community tab when we have a date.
