Embrace the Beauty in the World

  • In this special message, I discuss the importance of turning off the news and focusing on the positive aspects of life. The media often highlights the negative, leading to fear, anger, and sadness. But remember, there is far more good than bad in the world. It's not easy to do, but with practice, we can achieve it.
    Babies are the best examples of free spirits who love unconditionally. They love themselves and others regardless of weight, color, shape, size, political views, or belief systems.
    Rather than looking at us (adults) as the ones who need to be teaching babies, we could learn from them.
    Let's embrace the beauty around us, spread hope, love, and positivity, and avoid judgments. Everyone grows at their own pace, so let's be patient and love everyone. I hope you will join me in spreading light and making a positive difference.

    Well said! I actually don’t watch the news I find it very negative and depressing! You yourself know in our business that we listen to a lot of hardships and sadness from our clients. I find it very important to decompress every night after work for our sanity! We’re like conduits and absorb their aura’s. I love to listen to my 80’s on my way home and then I’m great! Keep up your great work. Maybe one day we can meet! 😘

      It's so true, Heidi. My spiritual healer friend told me to protect my energy before working with my clients. She said to visualize a shield around me and ask for protection against negative energy. This way we can listen and be there for someone without absorbing it. She also told me to not give them my energy. Instead she told me to ask for the energy to come from the earth to run through me to give to them. So before each client visualize the energy coming from the centre of the earth up through your feet and through your hands. It helps. You won't feel so depleted by the end of the day. I'm not sure if you believe in this stuff but it can't hurt.❤️

    Hey Julie 😊
    What you talked about is, and should be, so important. When the pandemic started, I couldn’t figure out why, all of a sudden, people were not as receptive or pleasant to me as they had always seemed to be. It finally dawned on me…. the mask. I have always (almost) greeted people with a smile, and the reaction most of the time was someone smiling back and being pleasant. I noticed almost immediately that without the smile, a LOT of folks were very ‘meh’ and not engaged. It was shocking really. I think that lockdown, masking up, etc., really isolated and affected so many people, and they’re still trying to come out of it. I’m totally with you on the kindness front, positive vibes 💕

    • @JulieMeikle
      @JulieMeikle  28 дней назад +1

      I felt the same way. I used to love going to Costco and catching a glance at people and smiling. It felt so good to connect with someone and feel the energy of everyone. With the mask it was completely different. Everyone was so scared. I still tried though. I made my eyes smile as much as I could or I would just speak as pleasantly as I could.😍 We have to keep trying.

    My mother was a very sad person who taught me to fear tomorrow. I never saw her laugh in her lifetime. I swore if I had children I would be different. It has been a struggle to get out of this mindset but I laugh every day with them and I have encouraged them to take risks in the knowledge that I am here for them if something goes wrong. Sadness doesn't help anyone. Positivity can help many. Showing people love and respect brings everyone up.

      Linda, I got chills reading your comment. You sound like an amazing Mom. It's hard to deprogram ourselves from what has been taught to us from a young age. Being conscious of the shift that's needed for your life and your children's lives to be better is the hardest part. Now imagine when your children have children, how free they'll be. You're helping your children and their children and all the people who come in contact with them. It's a ripple effect that will last.🤗

    Great Talk Julie. I do not listen to the new, although I do follow an amazing Pastor, Author, Speaker and the list goes on. Thru Him, I do keep up daily in what’s going on in Israel. I am very passionate about Gods Chosen Peoples and land. I too am trying to perfect being more empathetic and understanding of others, sometimes I do get my feelings hurt, but thank God I dont like I use to. Or get defensive. We all do need to smile, be kind and be joyful especially if around someone that is not. We never know what they might be going thru. There’s a saying that I just read earlier and it fits perfectly with what you’re saying, but I want to be sure and get it right. I am going to look for it and will post it. Thank you for being YOU.

    • @JulieMeikle
      @JulieMeikle  26 дней назад +1

      I'd love to know the saying.🤗
      When I think of people who hate for seemingly no reason, I understand they have been programmed from a very young age to hate. They've been taught from an early age who their enemies are by people who were taught the same thing. They have to work on deprogramming themselves of the belief system that wasn't theirs. They have to wake up for things to change. We can't do that for them. We can send them love and pray for them to find their way back to their authentic selves before they were taught to hate.
      I've had to deprogram myself of many thoughts and judgments I've had over the years. I remember making comments out loud about someone. I realized as I was saying it that it wasn't my thought. I was repeating what I had been taught. I didn't actually believe what I was saying but it had been ingrained in me from an early age. I started realizing this in my 30s and have worked on it ever since. It's not easy because we have to recognize when we're making judgments (about others or ourselves) and then evaluate it and ask ourselves where the thoughts are coming from.
      I've moved around a lot and that has helped me see how other people live and what they believe. My girlfriend has completely different political views than I do but rather than judging, I ask her questions and find out why. Listening to her helped open my eyes to the other side. She didn't try to convince me that she was right and I was wrong, she took her time and explained why. I learned that her life experience has been completely different than mine and that's why she has different views on some things but at the heart we are the same. We love people, we're kind and joyful and we want everyone to be equally happy
      I filmed this video after visiting my parents. They watch the news all the time and have their strong opinions. I see what it does to them and no matter what happens the conversation always turns to what's bad in the world and how bad it will get. I can't live that way. My daughter is in Brooklyn and my son is in the military. I have to have faith that everything is going to be ok. I have to or it would consume me too. If we stop and live for right now we can see the beauty but if we live in the future we miss it.
      I get so chatty when I talk to you, Karla.😍 I started writing this last night and I started falling asleep so I'm finishing it now. I'm very passionate about this topic. I wish I could infuse what I see into my mother, for a moment and bring calm to her life. I have an advantage though. I had a wonderful upbringing with parents who loved us and each other. She wasn't so lucky so I understand why it's so hard for her.
      Anyway, I'm sitting in my backyard listening to the wind blow the leaves of my favourite tree and watching the birds eat out of our bird feeder. I'm soaking in the beauty of what's in front of me. That's the only thing I can control so it's the only thing that makes sense. 🤗 Sending love and healing light, Karla. I pray for a pain-free day for you. Big hugs!

      You're doing the right thing, Ilinca. You're making a choice to bring peace to your life which allows you to be joyful. You're energy will inspire others and is already doing that. Have you heard the term "light worker" before?
      "Lightworkers are individuals who feel an intense calling to help others. They are often empathetic, sensitive, and spiritually inclined, driven by a deep-seated desire to spread light - in the form of love, kindness, and positivity - and to heal the world in whatever way they can."
      You have a platform where you bring joy to people's lives. You have an audience but even if you didn't you do it every day. When you get groceries and smile at someone as you're walking by, you're bringing light. When you hold the door for someone or when you let someone in your lane as you're driving. They may seem small but they're not. Those actions can completely change the direction of someone's day. You're doing a wonderful job!
