Hi lovely friends. I hope you are all well. What are your own style tips or things that you think we should all stop wearing to look and feel younger? Please do share in our community below. Lots of love to you all. Deirdre. XX

If the top or sweater is oversized or chunky, wear leggings or slim pants to balance. If the pants are loose and flowey, the blouse or sweater should be more close fitting. 50Fabulouswithm. Hello Diedre, I just stumbled upon your channel! I came in half heartedly thinking it was going to be a shaming women's choices & aging bodies. After watching a few of your presentations, I'm happy to have found you! You have wonderful ideas & suggestions and I look forward to following you! I already do alot of what you've suggested but it doesn't hurt to get any fresh ideas as we tend to get set in our ways! 😘 Thank you for your time & energy into fashion ideas for us older women! I have subscribed & am going to check out the rest of your videos! 👍💕🙂
Why do all the brands aimed at mature women keep trying to sell us huge, gawdy floral printed stuff in awful colours? Do they think that once we hit our 50s thats what we want to wear? I despair!
I don't know why you were worried about this content because it was very informative, well said, as well as visual with your examples. I truly appreciate what you have to say. Have a great day!
All great tips, except wearing pointy toed shoes… At my age, 68, I have destroyed my feet by shoving them into shoes that are inappropriate for healthy feet. We continue to tell women that spiky heels and pointy toes are sexy. Sexy is not what’s on your feet, sexy is an attitude. ❤
Oh I just did a rant about that up there. If anything, pointy toes will kill your feet, and yeah I did that thing in the 70's and 80's. Now I wear shoes that are shaped like my feet. My feet love me. Pointy toed shoes also age people. Because they belong in the 80's.
There's no looking pretty in pain. There's no fun to be had when in pain. I look hard for shoes that look and feel good then buy them in every color. These gems are very hard to find. Flats do not work for me or anything binding through the toes. High arches are and issue and flats provide no support for arches that desperately need support. Shoes... this is a good topic but can be a difficult one regardless of age.
Totally agree. Pointed shoes do not go well with bunions at all. After wearing 4 inch heels to work for many years they have ruined my feet. I do agree that the large floral prints are awlful on older women. I think woman have to wear the clothes not the other way around. All good suggestions.
Feel better. 💕💕💕The older I become, the more vigilant I am about not looking dated or wearing clothes that simply do not flatter me. You are both inspirational and aspirational!
Unfortunately, I cannot agree...🙈 Although the orange really does freshen up the look, scarves like this are not something that younger women would wear. This is actually an older lady look. So if I want color close to the face, you just shouldn't choose a plain white shirt. 🤷🏼♀️
When someone commented that "you're really old now" (didn't wish me happy b'day even and it was my 81st). I quickly educated the person that old is a matter of the mind... if you don't mind then it doesn't matter... and that I don't subscribe to "old", vintage is so much nicer! So happy to find your channel and appreciate the education. I especially love your natural look, you're beautiful. I've already looked up your links to lip color and concealer, both desperately needed for self. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more help that's beyond needed for self. Be safe and blessed.
Your idea’s are fabulous! Anyone who gets upset about this video must be angry about something else because every suggestion you made was a worthwhile idea ❤
Yes, totally agree that black hardens us as we mature. I embrace navy as its very smart in accessories. I try to wear dresses on my knees or above as I also found it makes me look more youthful. Silver jewellery looks so refreshing. We can embrace our age and look beautiful as well with subtle changes in our clothing and accessories.
Frankly, I've always been rather "fashion impaired" and only turning 60 have felt I NEED to figure this stuff out! What a GREAT video! And I LOVED "adding a colorful scarf"! I tend toward simple tailored (way too much BLACK I see!) Anyway lots of good advice said in a lively ENCOURAGING way. Thanks!
The orange scarf really popped with the neutral outfit. I was amazed at how much better the long pleated skirt looked with the cropped jacket and fitted blouse than with the baggy shirt or sweater! Thank you for the great ideas!
I've always used the rule that only one loose/baggy item at a time. So maxi skirt or palazzo pants with a fitted top., Flowing blouse with skinny jeans. Pick one loose thing and everything else is neat and fitted, otherwise you look like you are wearing a tent and we start trying to figure out what you are trying to hide :)
I 100% tuck in all my tops, or wear “cropped”, waist-length ones. I turned 64 today, so, yes, my tummy is a bit rounder than in my youth, but the advantage of improved visual proprietor far outweighs that. I also still wear “mini skirts”, but as a petite, they are longer on me, a few inches above the knee. I have thickened a bit around the middle, but am still slim and I like to show my shape and my legs. But, I also love midi skirts. Those long maxis are cute, but not very practical, I’ve found. I don’t want any more of them, especially the fuller styles, they can be a nuisance, if not downright dangerous, to wear. Thanks, Deirdre❤
Yeah, you clearly don't have an actual gut. That's good. Celebrate it! I would NEVER tuck or wear cropped. It would look awful. But I have an actual gut.
I agree with all of your observations. I must say, though, that finding modern and more flattering styles is quite difficult if one’s figure is not very good. Those options you showed did truly look lovely on you, but you are slim and youthful looking already.
True! As much as I'd like to refrain from certain items of clothing or colours or habits my body doesn't help as I'm on the chubbier side.My main problem ismy fat calves which destroy an outfit that includes a skirt. Also I'm petite so there are lots to think of before I decide what to buy. Still, I enjoy your videos, they are very enlightening. I get great ideas.
@@vickol9403 I'm so pleased you like them. Do you feel more comfortable in trousers? If so, straight leg would work well for you or slightly bootcut to help elongate your legs. XX
I really enjoyed your video. What you say is 100% spot-on. One thing you really need to add is: STOP wearing trainers with everything. I am so sick of the sight of nice outfits spoiled by grotty trainers at the end of the legs. Sure, trainers fulfill a need sometimes, depending what you're doing but please, not with every outfit. Shoe shops here seem to stock 70% trainers and only 30% smarter shoes and it has become quite hard to find something comfortable and smart and isn't a trainer. I'm 5' 7" and I don't need high heels, just a smart casual shoe. Oh, and I'm 71. A youthful 71, though.
I have to wear mens trainers and mens loafers with everything because I am a men's size 10 in trainers because ladies shoes only go up to a size 8. Not a lot I can do about it as a tall lady with big, wide feet!
Berenice: I'm sorry to hear that your shoe size forces you to wear a certain kind of shoe. Many years ago I had similar problems. Manufacturers just didn't make shoes for my size 7 or trousers for my longish legs. Fortunately, the branch has woken up and made my life easier.
Tell me about it! I'm a bit under 5ft and even have to have tops shortened. Sorry if this is TMI but even some knickers are too long (as in they come above my waist). At 71 I doubt very much that I'll grow any taller 😂
I just turned 44 & love your tips! You look amazing 😊. I’m a mom to 6 teenagers & I’ve been working to not hide behind shawls more bc I was noticing I look bigger in pictures when I have an oversized sweater or shawl. So for last year or so I’ve been styling more fitted even though I have weight to shed!
Feel better Deirdre!!! I've said it a zillion times: Color (the right color) near your face just makes you look more of everytihng good. I think the older we get, we need color more. My sister wear all these beiges and tans and creams and she looks faded, washed out and tired! When she wears deep green, purples, royals she looks so much better.
I totally agree with your ideas Deidre. I have always been a woman of style and class; I enjoy keeping up with the latest for 40 plus. Just because we are maturing; does not mean age equals looking like a frumpy, out of date, and out of sorts type of woman. I think we should hold on and hang on to our "pretty" as long as we can!!
@@blahblahblah9376 I was actually trying to give a compliment that you may have deserved. Nevertheless, I need not tone down nor take my worth down a notch. Because I know my worth, and it’s worth the self care and time that it takes to put into it!! Self esteem is right up there with self care..it’s not a luxury…it is a necessity!! Therefore, I wish you well on your journey of growth.
@nursecw2128 💗I do like your confidence and desire to hang on to your "pretty"! So cute! It sure beats giving up--which is easier and does no good for anyone! If you don't believe you are a woman of style and class, you won't carry yourself as one. Thanks for the reminder.💗
Every thing you said is perfect. I just wanted to say that you would look younger with less make-up and not false eye lashes. Even a shorter hairstyles would make u look just so stunning.
So glad I found this video! I am going to be 60 next month and many of the style channels for women my age feature really conservative and somewhat "frumpy" styles. The suggestions you have here are definitely my style - classy and fun! I subscribed right away! Finally a creator my age that speaks to me! Thank you! 😊
I agree with all you said except wearing too much black depresses me. I will combine it with color! I wear knee length skirts (or skorts in case I fall and then it looks like shorts underneath). I like "roomy" form fitting tops , not too blousy and not too tight. Thanks for re-enforcing my view that I am not too old to dress this way. BTW, I am 70.
I agree with you about the jewelry, although I do love it! The late, great style icon Iris Apfel truly had the ability to wear tons of chunky jewelry and make it look so striking. All of your tips are great, and I love your video formatting.
I, too, thought of Iris Apfel when she talked about large chunky jewelry. Apfel had her own unique style and was able to rock that look for decades. I've stopped wearing my large clunky jewelry, but I believe it will come back in style at some point. Most things do.
I totally agree with every suggestion you made! I personally avoid big florals or really bold multicolored patterns on top. I do love the idea of a pop of color with neutrals. Great video! You always look amazing! Hope you feel better soon!
I hope you feel better soon. You didn't look tired at all, by the way. I never get tired of watching your videos and learning your recommendations. I don't want to look older so, Thanks a million!!
I just bought a red and white bold floral printed dress from H&M and it looks fantastic! It depends on other factors like your haircolour, your weight etc when deciding whether something dates you.
I very much enjoy your videos as my style is like yours and agree with all the points you raised. I am 5 ft, size 8. I have avoided the oversized look as i look swamped in fabric and if i tuck an oversized shirt in trousers I end up with a bulky middle. My trousers are all slim or straight as wide leg just do not suit me. I have a bust so good, supportive bras are a must. I have learned over the years what suits my height and shape and am in heaven with the variety of kitten heeled slingbacks available at the moment. Hope you feel better soon.
Totally agree with all your suggestions. I adopted all of them for myself as I grew older. It is wonderful to see you mentioned them all. You are right on with this one.
I love how you have creative solutions for all of us. We might not all be able to make huge changes quickly but I love just adding a belt or colour to quickly update the look then take some time to maybe pick up a new skirt when possible!!!
I am turning 55 soon and live in a city full of young people. Yesterday I was wearing a long shirt with huge florals, and a fitted top. I was feeling so old bc of this. So I start looking for advice online and lukily pop with your great advice!
Your "Style Expression" determines what size Jewelry, Prints, etc. look best on you...just as wearing the correct colors do. I NEED larger, bolder jewelry and people have even mentioned larger pieces don't look large on me. When I try to "get current" by wearing smaller, it isn't good!
She's mistaken, anyway. According to Who What Wear, " Low-Key Over: Delicate Stacking Necklaces Buying Into: Bold Collars" so dainty is passe and bold is in.
Love all your videos, Deirdre. This one no exception except to say that I wore an all-black outfit to lunch last week and got a very spontaneous compliment from the lovely young lady who welcomed us at the restaurant. At 76 I really appreciated that! Do get well soon!
SO many great points! The late Jean Muir stood by wearing Navy instead of black for women of a certain age - and I totally agree! I still wear some black, but whenever I can, choose Navy! It’s so much softer near the face, and at least for me, extremely flattering. 🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰‼️
I saw a colour specialist a few year ago , my colour was "autumn" which included navy so now only the odd pair of black trousers/ skirts but never wear black above the waist.
This is such good advice. I find black makes me look quite drained and washed out so I tend to keep it to bottoms, or break it up with a scarf. I much prefer navy or charcoal grey for dark neutrals.
This is the first of your videos that I have seen. I saw most of my clothing, and have done most of my life. I am an extreme hourglass, petite woman. I have battled weight issues all my life. But I have stabilized for several years at a good weight. I have always known that the Luz trophy stuff doesn’t look good on me. I never color block And I do look for simple. Well fitted designs. But you will not catch me in a sweet little floral print they make me sick. An independent strong woman doesn’t wear sweet little florals. I do on occasion make bold florals, and I know it’s going to be a one season dress, but I made it. I can then later, cut it up into something else, I always roll up the sleeves on my shirts and I always unbutton them a couple buttons and it does make such a sophisticated, sexy understated look. So I appreciate almost everything you said, and I do have more “comfortable“ shoes, when especially when people are wearing dresses, if you’re attending an occasion where you’re wearing a dress bite the bullet, and put a more delicate shoe on your foot! Thank you I look forward to more videos.
It's very hard to forsake the black clothes around here (with 5 months of winter, at least), they are still the most flattering for the mid-section as well. In the summer it's easier to mix in whites, light blues, etc. but I still have to be very careful of that area.😏
Great suggestions… I’ve cleared out the closet and toned things down and your suggestions work. Although I just bought a black blazer like jacket, I do tend to wear more navy as an alternative to black. And I ditched the chunky jewelry long ago. Amazing how styles come and go. And those Vivaia shoes are fabulous. Thanks so much.
Busted. I try to cover up my flaws with lots of drapiness and big sweaters or tunics. Time to go shopping for these better style options and MORE COLOR. Thanks!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! The cropped jacket with the long pleated skirt was a magical transformation! You were spot on about the large florals and too many bulky layers also!
Love the video, love the advices, love the way you look and communicate. This video came to me as a suggestion but I will subscribe and wait for more great ideas! Thank you!
I don’t want to look like I’ve given up on life, clothes DO change how we feel and for me I don’t think it’s so much about looking “older”, but looking more out together for my body shape. Great tips thank you!
Not angry at all!! I loved all your tips and they all make sense. Being short any tips to look taller are always appreciated! Thank you for your hard work!
First time watcher, now newly subbed. I agreed with your many points, and was happy to see that I already do all of them....*except* the suggestion about large floral patterns. It gave me pause, so I thought about it and realized you're absolutely correct! I've learned something new, and I thank you for that 😊
I really like your approach, and the courage of course, simple tricks make a huge difference. As my body changes over fifty, I have realised that some of my favourite outfits don’t work anymore! I find your tips helpful ❤
I am so happy that your video popped up in the RUclips feed. I hadn't encountered your channel before now. Love all the advice. It's always helpful to have someone else's eye on these issues...how to look younger for one. And your suggestions and style are the classic ones with polish that I love.
Came across this completely by chance and love the content. No negative feedback from me. As a 62 year old coming out of depression this is invaluable! Thank you xx
These are all great looks! May I suggest a video on sporty/casual styles for leisure wear? I'd love to see your take on how to wear athleisure in flattering and stylish ways. Thanks!
Athleisure wear is a look for a young person. Tights at 68 can be a terrible sight. If you’re actually working out that’s one thing but as casual wear for others to see, no go for women our age.
First time watcher and loved your video! Full of really practical, sensible suggestions that I never would have thought of - and I love the comparisons you make, before and after so to speak, really makes you point! Thanks.
I can agree with just about everything you said! Re: shoes, I can't do pointy, they're brutal on my feet. I usually wear a loafer type shoe or ankle bootie in the winter and now can't wait until sandal season! Be well and thank you!
No one who watches any "How to..." videos should get mad at the host for her/ his suggestions. The point of watching videos like this is to stay on top of things, reconsider how we style/ wear our clothing and make adjustments or changes that make sense for us. If you disagree with the host of the video, who has all good intentions, then watch something else.
I agree about colour Deirdre. I 'had my colours done' a few years ago. I turned out to be an Autumn, so black and white are out for me although I do wear it as long as it is not next to my face. Great video as usual. Hope you feel better soon❤
I agree with you on all of these tips. I've never worn large floral prints. I see young girls wearing them and I just cringe. I guess if you are in your 20's, you can wear what you want to wear. 😂 I will be 60 in July ( oh my goodness, did I just said that?) and I am very particular on what comes into my closet. Good bras are very important. Sagging bosoms show your age.
I agree with you 100% with everything you said. I always argue with my sister who insists on wearing huge trousers and blouses and things like that and saying to me that I “look silly with tight trousers (I am very slim) and should wears wide trousers” you are right and stylish 👏👏
Hi Deirdre, I agree with all you are saying but I also know that you styled that lovely gold coloured pleated skirt from Mango in a video about 2 winters ago and made it look fabulous. I think you wore it with your heeled tan coloured long boots. So it is possible to wear longer skirts and stay youthful as long as you style the skirts properly and you're extremely good at doing that. Keep it up! I enjoy your videos very much.
Loved all your comments! The skirt ideas really resonated with me. I am short and curvy, and I’ve been finding that a pencil skirt about 2in above the knee is my magic length-I put them with nice V-neck tees that are figure-skimming but not tight. It’s becoming my go-to look for work in the summer. ❤️
Your suggestions are great along with your split visuals. I would like to see some spring looks with the cashmere scarves you mentioned, especially your new blue one.
I adore you and I love the suggestions you give us! Every time I watch I learn something! Today, it was wearing too much black! I have so much black and I am going to add color, even a little bit, to spice myself up. You are lovely!
One of my adored pieces of clothing is a 30 year old triple cashmere baggy cardigan below my bum, which is a style free zone. But I wear it alot as I am outside at many race meetings. It ages me so much, but under a coat it cannot be seen!
Deidre, The look on your face in the "old" outfits was priceless. Hope you are feeling better. I lived in England from 1989-1990, and the big flowers made me think of the cabbage-rose wallpaper one always saw in bed-and-breakfasts around the UK at that time. Another good reason not to wear them on our person. Looking like a B&B just isn't stylish! There are certain clothes I won't wear anymore since I entered my 50s--not because they look bad on me, but because I've been there, done that. I think sometimes letting go of a few of our old go-to's is great way to freshen up our wardrobes and to look refreshed ourselves.
Fantastic advice, all excellent points and wonderfully illustrated. I especially agree with avoiding, especially if like me you are not very tall, skirts that are too long, big floral patterns and chunky jewellery.Thank you so much for these great tips
There seem to be conflicting opinions among RUclipsrs about whether chunky or dainty jewelry is currently trending but I have both, so I'm covered! 😊 Get well soon! ❤
I have both too and I believe like any outfit, it really comes down to proportions. Fine jewelry can look “small” and disproportionate to an outfit and chunky can look too “large” and disproportionate to the outfit
I say forget what’s trending. I subscribe to the Kibbe body type model as a starting point. Some people absolutely rock statement necklaces while others are drowned in it. Dress for your body, not for what fashion says is trending. Just keep it event appropriate. Don’t glam up to go to the grocery store.
I look forward to your videos so thank you for this latest one, even though you're unwell... you don't look unwell. Your advice is spot on and you illustrate your points brilliantly. Thank you.

Berenice: I'm sorry to hear that your shoe size forces you to wear a certain kind of shoe. Many years ago I had similar problems. Manufacturers just didn't make shoes for my size 7 or trousers for my longish legs. Fortunately, the branch has woken up and made my life easier.
Totally agree with you about skirts and dresses that are too long. Being 5'2" I always have to hem these things.
Me too!! XX
Tell me about it! I'm a bit under 5ft and even have to have tops shortened. Sorry if this is TMI but even some knickers are too long (as in they come above my waist). At 71 I doubt very much that I'll grow any taller 😂
I'm 5'10" and short skirts make me look like a hooker. I prefer a nice midi. Height does alter our perspective on what looks attractive.
I'm 5'10" and look like a hooker in short shirts (minis). I prefer a mid length. Height factors in to our perceptions.
I have that issue, too! I'm 5 feet tall--but,m don't like my legs. So, what to do...?
How could anyone ever be angry with lovely you, dear Deirdre?
Love the belted long sweater with the long skirt!
When avoiding black, navy blue looks great - still slimming!
So true! XX
You also feel better wearing your favourite bright colours
@@murielbuxton6993 amen!
Your sister probably has a cool undertone and is likely a winter or summer as far as seasonal colour analysis goes.
@@mindimoom9142 I totally agree. She's a winter like me. Getting her to WEAR those colors is a whole 'nother story, LOL!
Even looking « weird » because of a virus, you look amazing !!!!😊
That's so kind of you, thank you Elaine. XX
I agree, Elaine!
Thinking perhaps you need to work on being a bit more humble. Who says "I have always been a woman of style and class..."
Good luck with that.
That's very kind of you, but I don't have ANY eyelashes, so falsies are a necessity. XX
Completely disagree with respect. I think the eye makeup is perfect and young looking. The whole makeup look is lovely and youthful.
So glad I found this video! I am going to be 60 next month and many of the style channels for women my age feature really conservative and somewhat "frumpy" styles. The suggestions you have here are definitely my style - classy and fun! I subscribed right away! Finally a creator my age that speaks to me! Thank you! 😊
Hi there and a big welcome to my channel. I’m so pleased you like it. Take care xx
I'm with you on just about all of your suggestions. I'm 76, so I already look old - I certainly don't want to make myself look even older! 😂
Thanks so much for sharing, Linda. Still young at 70. Xx❤
The orange scarf looks invigorating with the white!
A blue red scarf would look even better
Don’t wear brights with black
I agree with you about the jewelry, although I do love it! The late, great style icon Iris Apfel truly had the ability to wear tons of chunky jewelry and make it look so striking. All of your tips are great, and I love your video formatting.
I do think substantial GOLD looks the best. No costume fake gems or certainly NO plastic of course!
I, too, thought of Iris Apfel when she talked about large chunky jewelry. Apfel had her own unique style and was able to rock that look for decades. I've stopped wearing my large clunky jewelry, but I believe it will come back in style at some point. Most things do.
RIP Iris. There will always be exceptions to the rules and they tend to be style icons in their own right!!
Iris Apfel was probably Jewish, and Jewish ladies have a way (good) where wearing jewellery is concerned …
You're so welcome and thank you! XX
I just bought a red and white bold floral printed dress from H&M and it looks fantastic! It depends on other factors like your haircolour, your weight etc when deciding whether something dates you.
Thanks for sharing and yes, you're right. It's not a concrete thing. XX
I agree with everything you said apart from pointy shoes. I am petite and have quite slim legs, this style of shoe just makes my feet look huge.
Yes, I am tall but have large feet anyway, love pointy shoes but not on my feet!
Totally agree with your thoughts on what makes a person look old. Your styling tips are so right. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing! I love how you give examples of what to do with the same pieces and how to make a person look younger or at least stylish.
I'm so pleased you liked it. XX
Me too!
Totally agree with all your suggestions. I adopted all of them for myself as I grew older. It is wonderful to see you mentioned them all. You are right on with this one.
Wonderful! Thank you so much. XX
Nothing to grumble about here. A beautifully put together video . Look after yourself; stay hydrated. X
Loved the video but I won't give up on my big necklaces. Some of my outfits demand it and my friends expect it.
According to Who What Wear, " Low-Key Over: Delicate Stacking Necklaces
Buying Into: Bold Collars"
so dainty is passe and bold is in.
Yourfirst skirt and shoes were great, the blouse made it all look frumpy.
Love all your videos, Deirdre. This one no exception except to say that I wore an all-black outfit to lunch last week and got a very spontaneous compliment from the lovely young lady who welcomed us at the restaurant. At 76 I really appreciated that!
Do get well soon!
Thanks for sharing!! I love that. XX
SO many great points! The late Jean Muir stood by wearing Navy instead of black for women of a certain age - and I totally agree! I still wear some black, but whenever I can, choose Navy! It’s so much softer near the face, and at least for me, extremely flattering. 🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰‼️
I totally agree about navy and I'm so pleased that Jean Muir thought it was a great option instead of black. XX
I saw a colour specialist a few year ago , my colour was "autumn" which included navy so now only the odd pair of black trousers/ skirts but never wear black above the waist.
I can't find navy
This is such good advice. I find black makes me look quite drained and washed out so I tend to keep it to bottoms, or break it up with a scarf. I much prefer navy or charcoal grey for dark neutrals.
I totally disagree. Black is better every time.
I don't know where you live but I tend to opt for bright colours in the winter to cheer myself up
@@debbievidal9536 That can be fun occasionally, but with the weather in MN it can also look kind of ridiculous.
Love the flower arrangement on your right side!
I agree with lots of points except the large florals. It depends on the floral print. This year's runway saw loads of massive floral prints.
Thanks!
Your advice is always right on. I love adding color. I’m 73 and following your ideas help keep my wardrobe and outfits modern. Thank you.
You're so welcome, Karen. XX
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! The cropped jacket with the long pleated skirt was a magical transformation! You were spot on about the large florals and too many bulky layers also!
So pleased you liked it.XX
Love the video, love the advices, love the way you look and communicate. This video came to me as a suggestion but I will subscribe and wait for more great ideas! Thank you!
Angry? For trying to help us not look frumpy and old? You are on point my dear, Brava!
Not at all.
Love the looks❤ I love long skirts because of scars on my ankles and will update it with your suggested looks. Thanks! 🙏
I agree 💯 with everything you mentioned here!
I don’t want to look like I’ve given up on life, clothes DO change how we feel and for me I don’t think it’s so much about looking “older”, but looking more out together for my body shape.
Great tips thank you!
I've been moving black to Navy for work with light or jewel tone blouses/shirts. It seems to be less harsh.
I love navy. It's slimming but, as you say, not as harsh as black. XX
Especially for summer. XX
Not angry at all!! I loved all your tips and they all make sense. Being short any tips to look taller are always appreciated! Thank you for your hard work!
Feel better soon, Deirdre! The video was great as usual. ❤
Thank you so much. XX
Great advice. Everything you said is perfectly correct. I loved every example that you showed!
A big welcome to my channel and I'm so pleased you are enjoying it.XX
Came across this completely by chance and love the content. No negative feedback from me. As a 62 year old coming out of depression this is invaluable! Thank you xx
Awww, I'm so pleased you like my channel. XX
These are all great looks! May I suggest a video on sporty/casual styles for leisure wear? I'd love to see your take on how to wear athleisure in flattering and stylish ways. Thanks!
Noted and thank you! XX
YEs, pls. I tend to feel always over-dressed to avoid looking sloppily casual.😢
Athleisure wear is a look for a young person. Tights at 68 can be a terrible sight. If you’re actually working out that’s one thing but as casual wear for others to see, no go for women our age.
Thank you. I appreciate the information. It helps me to make better choices when putting my outfits together.
First time watcher and loved your video! Full of really practical, sensible suggestions that I never would have thought of - and I love the comparisons you make, before and after so to speak, really makes you point! Thanks.
Welcome aboard and thank you so much for commenting.XX
I totally agree with you. These are beautiful combos. Thank you!
"Substantial" 14k bracelets are very attractive . By the way, your colors look lovely!
Just watched this video and really enjoyed it! I’m 74 but I still like to look good like lots of older women. Tips like these are very useful!
Agree with all! Feel better soon!
I agree about colour Deirdre. I 'had my colours done' a few years ago. I turned out to be an Autumn, so black and white are out for me although I do wear it as long as it is not next to my face. Great video as usual. Hope you feel better soon❤

I hope you are on the mend and feeling better. I love all your tips. I think the orange scarf with that outfit looked beautiful.
Thank you Angela.XX
I agree with you on all of these tips. I've never worn large floral prints. I see young girls wearing them and I just cringe. I guess if you are in your 20's, you can wear what you want to wear. 😂 I will be 60 in July ( oh my goodness, did I just said that?) and I am very particular on what comes into my closet. Good bras are very important. Sagging bosoms show your age.
hope you feel better soon ♥ loving your sense of humour too great video
Thanks so very much for this tutorial. I am 67 and don’t want to look like a prumpy old women. I picked up some lovely tips from you. ❤️❤️❤️
You’re so welcome xx
Hey Deirdre! You look darn good for having a virus! Your 'sad' face in the before pictures cracked me up. Good suggestions. Get better sooon! 💜
😊 thank you
I agree with you 100% with everything you said.
That sounds like a great look. Xx
I loved this video and how you demonstrated the positive younger look❤️. Great job❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I am interested in vintage clothes, but certainly want to look young. Your tips will help. I think the jewelry tip especially.

I love your comments and thank you so much for sharing. XX
Hope you feel better quickly!
Also, about scarves.
A lot of very good advice and so clearly explained and illustrated. Thank you!
You're so welcome, thank you. XX
I look forward to your videos so thank you for this latest one, even though you're unwell... you don't look unwell.
