I’m a verbal processor so I find over-explaining helpful to figure out what I’m thinking/feeling/experiencing.

You're doing so much for the autistic community with your videos. I love how intelligently and practical your observations are, but in such a friendly, relaxed and light-hearted way. 'Silver lining the shit-show' - LOVE THAT!!! 😂😊😊😊Thank you so much! 😊😊

I have to say I've been watching your videos and as someone also women and late diagnosed autistic, I love knowing about myself more but also I really like your flow of conversation. It's fast and interesting in a way I don't find usually in other big channels. Also I have to say, I also get the "aha" moment while you was talking. My mom was always very "agressive" in her tone of voice, but she wouldn't have the intention of fighting and a lot of times she got in situation like arguing with people because of little things and I realized now probably was her tone :( I see myself a lot in my parents behaviors and I wish they also could have been aware and knew these things before. Again thank you so much for your content. I usually overexplaing myself a lot but over apologizing too to a point sometimes I become avoidant and run away from conflicts.

I’m literally on my knees behind the refrigerator with a scrub brush, as you explain why I’m probably like this 😅 my dad also always does the deep-cleaning when life gets stressful. Had to pause the video and tell you this. Ok - back to the grime 😎

We carry on with a tradition older than our use of it.
“Karma yoga is a path to reach moksha (spiritual liberation) through work. It is rightful action without being attached to fruits or being manipulated by what the results might be, a dedication to one's duty, and trying one's best while being neutral to rewards or outcomes such as success or failure.”

Our autism may be a saving grace and what others might now appreciate as global warming and human vanities are creating a non sustaining life style.
The question might be better put what is wrong with ‘modernity’?

    • @suddenlyautistic

Well yes, there's much to dislike about how we do things now. I'm not denying that

My point was our ability to be functional, you as a scientist, and myself as a self-sustaining individual might have much to share with the more profound dysfunction of modernity. 👍

@@artemisXsidecross Industrialization driving evolution (darwins peppered moth) , and mass scale pavlovian responses biased thru extremely regulated belief systems that artificially constrain perceptual limitations, which although functional for population control, make divergent personas more anomalous by relative comparison, further dislocating atypical social dynamics which contributes to frictional relationships exponentially breaking down group & individual coping & satiation capacities.
On top of epigenetic mutation , which will eventually effectuate adaption responses , but which during the transition phase (centuries long process) from a "natural human" to a "civilized human", will inevitably lead to experimental maladaptions to new environments like "citys" instead of "jungles".
Inevitable, as no one will give up toilet paper for their freedom.
Everyone will always choose to belong to the tribe , despite personal taxations on their liberties, well, most will, unless they are billionaires or simply arent accepted into tribes.
But, theres always another tribe to join, alliances shift all the time, and everyone still uses toilet paper 😂
