    I called on a 2023 Dodge Challenger RT that was advertised for $32,126 in Michigan. The dealer gave me a price of $37,764. I told him the advertised price was $32,126 and he said that was employee price. Well that’s $5,000 more than advertised and he wouldn’t come down to the $32,000 price so it was a pass for me.

    Dude really? They marked prices up 300% during covid. They were,35-45k loaded. Now 100-150k. Get your price down to 35k loaded.

      @@GrapeParfait When the US dollar has been devalued during the Biden Regime as it has, then 50k doesn't go as far anymore. With that said, I'm thinking of a fully loaded one ton crew cab for 50k, but an entry level half ton should be much, much less than that.

    The most I've ever paid for a SUV was $6500. The most I've ever paid for a coupe is $4500. I once paid $26k for a sports car, and then sold it for $30k. I would never pay anywhere close to $100k for something disposable. Every car I've ever owned since 1995 doesn't add up to $100k total cost of ownership.

    A 1500 ram going for $70,000 that’s crazy!! Not for a 1500 ram! Now a 2500 ram going for $50,000 to $60,000 was the price. Now a ram 2500 going for $90,000 to $140,00 there no way !!

    My 2002 F150 Triton 5.4 with 115,000 miles is still kicking, thank God!! Piss on a New Truck.....80 to 100 is just stupid. Even if i hit the dam powerball i still would be hesitant just bc i know the dealer would still try and snowball be...nope.

    If you take a truck worth 42,000 2 years ago mark it up to 68000 and then take 7000 off is that a good deal? Top that off with interest rates that sat at 0 percent for 72 months that are now replaced with 5.99 and higher rates. Jeep same thing 32000 up 20,000 in two years for same model to 52000 plus across board. Nobody is going to fall for this crap of saying there are good deals when they are just crap. When they sat at 42000 I thought that was too high so not sure what that makes 60,000.

    I bought a big horn in 2019 for 42,000$. I’m in the market this year for a truck again. I have a budget of 56,000. But most trucks in this price range have a V6 and a small bed. I found a 2022 with 20k kilometers for 46,000. Gas is 2$ a liter. I’m still waiting for the prices to drop more.

    The problem with all these dealer is the ‘Lot Rot’ to many thing can go wrong being park for so long and vehicle these days are not worth $50K. They are being made with cheap material and the paint it start to ‘peel and crack’ in the first year. When ppl have to work 2-3 jobs you have a problem and the government don’t want to say anything about this. Stellantis want to make the brand a luxury brand that they are not, they forgot the regular working folks, that made the Company.

    That is a scam. They say prices are lower but old Chrysler and Dodge dealers have always been shady. I remember when I was going ro buy a Cordoba in the 1970's.and they were shady then. Only new car I have ever purchased from a US automaker was a 1989 TransAm and a1976 Gremlin.

    In 2019 i purchased my 3rd ram ...i like the truck but lot's of manufacturer defects and from my experience with customer service is worth a big zero ...i got paint bubble all around my hood and truck only 5 years old even tho it's got 276,000 km very disappointing....

    Even if you got $25,000 off that’s still not a good deal they overcharge you $50,000 and if they give you 25,000 off is 25,000 too much go back to the original price give me a 5000 discount off the original price no markup that would be a good deal so $50,000 truck For 45,000 that’s a good example. That’s a good deal.

    Well there is the fact that they probably know that auto insurance is set to go up this year so mitigating affordability is in their best interests.
    Consumers spending should be on pause until prices drop severely in all markets. Understanding that governments like inflation to pay down debt so why should you pay more than you can afford or have too. Recessions are cyclical so are a lot of negative effects that come with them. Understanding consumer spending can be circumstantial to the essentials so hopefully it doesn’t put people in the negative.

    I wandered my local Ford store lot a month ago just to see if there was something I liked better then my low miles '19 F150 XLT Sport with a middling load of accessories. While no where as bad as Stellantis crap, $60 - $75K for an F150 XLT base truck is insane when my previous '12 F350 CCLB diesel was $58K and was a fully loaded Lariat

    I am new to Manitoba Canada (spent 8 years in 80s in ONT and SK for high school and university though) and really want to buy a 2023/2024 Colorado extended cab 4x4. Dealers here ask for CD$55K and up. I guess not worth it, right? Anybody any advice? (I also consider a new Wrangler 2 Dr with V6 engine but they sell a base one over 60k !! 😮)

    Toyota in Arizona still refuses to discount Tundra’s. I made an offer on a new Tundra Platinum with the TRD option. I made an offer and they literally laughed at me. So ridiculous 😳

      Arizona dealers blow , I rember back in 2008 they had 500-900 dealer fees .. I’m from Michigan, my buddy’s son was at the dealer over 6 hrs back then , I was laughing at them and told them you guys are slow and suck this deal woulda been done in under a 1-1/2 in Michigan..

    Prisoners Dilemma. First one to break forces the others to adapt in a surplus market. While Toyota and Honda currently have manageable inventories, this will reduce their premium. I wonder how much the Cybertruck hype is hurting Ram? If you are going to pay $82k+ for a truck, why not consider Tesla?

    lol taking loses. Marking 200% on a truck and taking off 10% isn’t quite a lose. No Ram 1500 is worth more than 30k. Plan truck with a 150k mile life. Maybe if the guarantee 500k miles but at 150k miles, 30k at most

    Even $25K off the price is still much higher than they should be priced, and the new Dodges are real cr*p! They are not selling because they are junk! Don't forget that over the last 4 years, they jacked up their prices by over 60% on average, so $25K off on a truck, that will ONLY be the "super rip off" trucks, is nothing! They need to drop prices by at least 45% - 55% to be where they NORMALLY would have been under NON RIP OFF increases!
