Stellantis has been ramming their junk down peoples throats for too long for the public just to forget because Trump is in office. They have really destroyed any trust in their organization with or without Trumps position on tariffs. By the time the public gets anything from Stellantis worth buying Trump will be out of office and then Stellantis will revert back to making garbage and not giving a rats a$$ that you paid $80,000 for their junk to only drive it 20,000 miles before ending up at a mechanic every 6 months. Now if Trump was in office for 8 years than it's a possibility. I would suggest nobody be fooled by Stellantis shell game. Buy something else other than a Stellantis product.

For the common person that couldn't afford most of the vehicles anyway it won't hurt many people that have been seeing ridiculous car prices of $75,000 - $110,000 in the last year. If you can't afford the average price of a car what would a higher price do in first place? Lol!!!! The scenario has been earning 40 - 50,000 a year to buy a Lamborghini so still earning the same amount to buy an even more expensive Lamborghini. It will hurt the dealerships and similar companies. Hopefully it will kick everyone in the rear and they will buy even less product forcing most to lose money and I'm here for it.

Even made in America cars have many imported components. If there is a tariff on the imported components then even American made cars will cost more !

Only the ppl that are (those that take the time to research things, to make the best decisions, before making a new purchase) clued in with what's happening with the whirleds economy, know better not to buy any car, at this present time. It doesn't matter what brand, model, ev, and gas. The market is not a enticing enough at this time. Costs are still prohibitively high. Look at the retail chain industries. A sector thousands of stores nationwide. That alone should tell you that things are dire, and that global collapse is on the horizon. Every brand is affected. To get something half way decent, you gotta shell out what, 40K plus. Who has that, with shrinking salaries and countless firings and layoffs. Ppl can't afford to pay for these high ticket vehicles, without going into debt. Nissan isn't alone in this coming shake up in the car industry. Look what's happening with the top brands Honda, and Toyota, recalls, recalls galore. Once lauded as the two best brands, are now wrought with problems, once, never seeing these kind of failures, from these two brands. As for Nissan. Misery loves company.

Buyers have a supply of U.S. made autos like the Frontier truck. Yes some parts could have 25%, but they will outsell that Taco truck in the end. Buy U.S. made or pay 25% more!

I think you are a little pessimistic. There will be a big incentive to sell Canadian made vehicles in Canada. This was the situation before the Auto Pack was signed in 1965. Looks like Toyota will be selling more Rav4s in Canada and importing fewer or the other models. For the big three they will be making truck mainly for the Canadian market. There will just be less variety with a modest increase in price. There will be no winners with this 25% tariff. Obviously someone doesn’t understand the concept of comparative advantage. 50% tariff on Tesla one week after these tariffs are put in place.

I'm already refusing to buy their overpriced vehicles as it is, so a price hike makes no difference to me.

While I understand the creators apprehension of the tariff I don’t Think that the creator really understands how Trump thinks and how he negotiate . If you don’t understand that this is a tactic to get favorable trade out of these countries then I completely understand why you would give us the worst case scenario however the more likely scenario is that these tariffs are temporary, although they may remain on certain types of products, but not all, and the administration has the ability to change what products are being tear after what or not Enough people are complaining about the prices of cars more than likely the administration will adjust the tariffs on those vehicles and vehicle parts come in, but that being said this is just a tactic to force some of these other countries to negotiate better trade deals so that we are not Being penalized to bring products into their countries and those countries not get any penalty for exporting into ours Also, there’s an easier way to make those prices not go up and it’s to eliminate some of the taxes that are being charged on the manufacturing inside of the country as well as some of the secondary taxes that are charged because most people don’t realize they were being charged twice with tax before the consumer even gets the product so really you’re being charged three times by the time you get the products from the store

We are all 'rich as hell', so, these tariffs won't hurt anybody except the other countries. Or at least that's what daddy drump thinks. You guys really think this will make companies bring jobs and stuff to America? Lets say I own some huge company that makes whatever in a different company, to be sold here. I would actually be 'rich as hell' then. It'll cost me a lot of money to move that production to America, or I can just close up shop and call it a day and enjoy the rest of my life living high without a worry in the world. I know what my pick would be... Btw.. why would anybody in their right mind buy the same exact product that says 'made in America' on it for considerably more with the same quality, over something that says 'made in China'?? I personally don't give a flying f^ck where it was made- I do care about the amount of money in my pocket, though. Product 1 made in China for $50, product 2 made in America for $77.99. Same product, same quality..

If in the perfect world all the car and car part manufacturing companies come back to the US which they are not the price of the product will increase and not just temporarily and btw the working class has never gotten a tax break from either party but the corporations are up on deck to get another tax break.🙂

Cars of every size and price are going to sit on dealer's lots and rot, just like our tomatoes do sitting on fields waiting for someone to pick them down here in Florida. Nob9dy is going to buy a tomato for $5 bucks. and nobody is going to buy a Corolla for $50,000 bucks.

Good! This will kill the dealership model that has been flogging the consumers for years. No more commission and usher in factory direct purchasing. At no point should a consumer pay more for a vehicle due to the overhead costs, flooring interest, and commissions built into the price. Factory direct purchasing will be bad at first, buuuuuuut the value of something for sale is based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Prices will go down and one price buying will take over without doc fees and addendums of protection packages and accessories that no one wants.
