You can rarely get out of a dealership at an advertised price. We need to be allowed to purchase vehicles directly from the manufacturer.
Even if I had the money, F NO.
Never paying that much for a decaying asset.
For 60$ l leave my girlfriend and go holiday in Vietnam or Thailand for few years
@@memadmax69 I don't blame you, my thoughts exactly
Anyone that pays more than $30-35k usd for a personal vehicle needs their head examined. It’s funny how my parents were able to raise 3 of kids in the 90’s with cars like a Ford Taurus and an Olds Cutlass Ciera in Buffalo, NY. We didn’t have monster 4x4 trucks and SUVs. Both my parents made it to work every day in the winter and a hauled us 3 brats around in a FWD 4 door sedan just fine.
I’ll stick with fixing my old truck
Same ,2004 silverado.
@@OLDGUY7301 2004 2500 LB7 owner here. I’m on the same boat. These prices are ridiculous.
Even if prices drop 50%, it isn't worth it because long term reliability is going downhill with smaller displacement motors with turbos and over complication of the vehicle. How long can electronics last in a vehicle?
It makes a person truly
Wonder what the future is for these vehicles
Latest exchange rate is $.69 USD for every Canadian dollar. Thus, a $45,000 CAN = $31,208 USD.
The problem is that the new vehicles are plagued with sensor and electrical issues that cost a fortune to repair.
$60k for the cheapest diesel pretty lame. Let it rot we need another 20% the amount they jacked it up for no reason other than greed.
Money talks
50% would be better.😂
Yeah I mean Pepperidge Farm remembers when I bought a brand new 2018 Ram Diesel for $42k... It didn't take long for this price biz to get completely out of control
The absence of money also talks
Everyone is fighting to pay bills and put food on the table....they all can kick rocks!!.the intire car industry has been ripping people off for decades!!
Who has 100 000 dollars to spend on a truck? Not me is who.😂
Very few people these days
can get new 1500 Rams for 29k
Mark Rams or Kenersville Ram NC , Ram 1500 29k
Even if you get the $70k truck for $45k, your insurance company is going to charge you rates for a $70k truck.
Good point.
............................ NO ............... JUS pay for the Vehicle in Cash!...............Not rip off Lease (RENT)...***WHEN you own the vehicle you can insure it on your own terms & Negotiated Price ! Oh and if you do not know the insurance company will NEVER pay you the New $ you bought the vehicle at & if required replacement you will never get a like vehicle as you took care of!
And when it's totaled they will give half of what you paid!
Love the way your vids are. straight to the point in clear easy to understand everyday language. I say they should rot or drop pricing to an acceptable level. I have seen trucks that are 2 to 3 years old trying to sell on dealer lots.
Mall crawling has never been so expensive 😂
Exactly
I love waiting so much after all those 125 inches of wheelbase trying to park.
Normal increase from 2019 until now should be a total of about 15%. So Ford and Chevy are overpriced by about 20% on msrp. Ram is about 45% over msrp. When they cut them by those percentages then they will start to be fair deals. And remember you could easily get a discount at those levels before all of this madness began.
Yes some serious discounts need to be in order to pass the savings to buyers
You never fail to give us great videos, AWESOME 👌, INFORMATIVE VIDEO MARK. LET THEM ROT ON THE LOT
Thanks so much Vincent I agree, and hope you had a great Christmas
@markholubetz you're very welcome Mark, I hope that you enjoyed your Christmas 🎄 and Have a very happy NEW YEAR
Got a 2023 frontier Pro4X fully loaded, had 26k miles. Got it for 36k out the door. Considering it was 48k sticker a 2 years ago I'm happy the first owner took the biggest depreciation hit. With 10k down financing a very manageable amount.
Nice!
@@markholubetz Pays to wait… i got a 2022 Ram 1500 bighorn for under $30k , low miles, one owner, and great car-fax. First owner paid over $54k , CRAZY !
At this point a new vehicle is just a dream for most that are responsible It's like these car companies got together and said let's raise prices on this necessity. If prices get like the first truck I guess I'm getting one 🤷♀️
If it’s for your business, I agree.
Pickup is not a necessity for most trips. cars would be enough.
Mark to buy a 50k truck on 4 or 5 year financing (to be smart) you should still be making 90-100k. Only 10% of people make 6 figures. ..
So no 50k is still to much.
Agreed....I make decent money....I still can't afford a $1000 a month truck payment
@robertmardis2110 yeah. And even if you do make 100k it's not smart to have a $1000 truck payment. Unless you really need a truck and use it and make money on it then it's fine
Hahaha I own that exact ram in the thumb nail.....2016 ram rebel 4x4 5.7 hemi,,I just bought it a few months ago with 70k on it for 26 grand.......the new 25 model year was 85 thousand dollars....absolutely insane!!!
That's a great deal!
@markholubetz The price of used trucks are now going through the Roof also... Probably Because people can't afford the new trucks..
Dodge trucks never sell for MSRP. Take 20% off all day long.
Take off 50% and I might think about it especially with all the poor quality and drivetrain failures
I’m 54 years old, I’ve never owned a brand new pickup. Used is the only way I’m buying one of these big dollar trucks.
You're not alone in that.
I like old vehicles. But riding around in a new vehicle is very nice too. Its a good feeling
No way, they are still high. IN fact, they need to be cut another 50-60%.
Prices are still significant
I never thought i would see the day when we would call 50-54k cheap for a truck...i mean a 50-54k truck is going to be a $1000-$1100 a month
This is what I bought a 2014 Ram Tradesman 4x4 with 5.7 Hemi 8 speed transmission crew cab for brand new and it was 36k If prices would get to the 30's for trucks they will sell until they get back to that they can rot. My 07 Tundra I have 5.7 4x4 SR5 the sticker on it was 27k that's only a pipe dream these days.
Moved production out of the country to save money and increase prices.
Yes they did
Nice price, but I don't want the ecoboost, in fact, I don't want any truck with a turbo, except for the diesel engine
Good point
I have 2005 5.9 and 4 years ago bought a new fifth wheel. Did 12k work on my 5.9. Now it will pull as much a the new ones. Gets better mileage and no payments. Win win. No egr bull either
2.7 L engine?????? , for a truck ???? Hell no , & they asked 50k ?? You got to be the biggest idiot ! Not for me . That truck , 20k top ! None of those trucks will last much longer over 100K miles
Agreed, that truck is simply
Not worth half that money. Ok for a fleet run about that does no heavy work
2.7L junk.....no thanks
FORD = First On Recall Database
But seriously, they’re knocking the prices down because of the QC issues .
That STX is the best package for the money , but even at $50,00 they’re STILL $20,000 overpriced !
Being over priced is not good. But charging a premium price for vehicles that are poorly designed and simply are not reliable will eventually bankrupt all of them .
It’s like it’s almost by design. Keep everyone bunched up in big cities you’ll own nothing and be happy.
Interesting take.
What is the reliability on the engines and drive line will it go 200,000miles without any problems , what about all the plastic ?
I really don't want the sun roof, heated seats and steering wheel etc, and I definitely don't want any vehicle with a turbo except a diesel engine
Yes things like sunroof and leather are a bit much for a truck in my opinion. Turbo diesel is great but gas trucks should be NA V8s
Loaded to the nuts and ball washers lmaoo
I don’t want any screen , what do you do with the Screen , give me 2 analog knobs 1 for volume 1 for changing channels
$50,000 truck it is fair deal like the ford F150 that you showed in the video 4x4 I will buy that one.
Not really, pre covid that would be 39k out the door.......
Try to get it for 42k
Its a reasonable price
@@fingersm$42K is
The dealer will have to buy it put on 10k to 20k kilometres or mileage on it. An then put it on the used lot in a year later or they flip flop the trucks around the dealership. Either a car dealer may dabble in other dealerships like a boat or arc dealer an just used these truck for there other dealership
That's the way I bought my 22 GMC Canyon Elevation, new price $44,000 a year later? I Paid $32,000 and Truck had only 51,000 miles on it , it was basically still a New Truck ... and 22 Canyon has the V6 not a 2023 and up 4 banger turbo..
Oh yes I live in America..
Nicel done
How about smaller trucks with a decent sized bed? Sick of these 4 door soccer mom vehicles with enough bed space to carry home tampons
Exactly
Which new truck won’t break in 100,000 miles?
Greta question and even the Toyota may not get that done
The 2022 Toyota Tundre v6 Z best and will have Nice resale!
I went to see the dodge trucks and I left immediately the trucks are over 60.000 dollars that's crazy.
You are right there are a lot of very high prices there yet
You check out price in Stateville NC
I will check those prices out.
$100k+ for a half ton truck truck, they have gone crazy 🤪 😜 😳
Imagine the depreciation!
Boom
Trucks are still too expensive. That much for a stripped down truck is overpriced. They need to be in the mid $20k in US dollars or less. I don't need a truck with a TV or the useless electronics. If backup cameras are required, make the display tiny. The average car and truck are tools, not a status symbol.
Yes they are
I’m going to wait and see when Trump takes over if things will get better or worse
My son just bought a very nicely equipped new RAM stickered at $65K US, bought for $46K US. Yes, the incentives are now large enough to make a truck purchase reasonable.
Yeah, there are some deals to be had if you shop around
Best deal I have heard of by far.
Lol you got screwed you bought a ram! Lmao
@@paulmoss7940 He got a $2500 credit for trading an F150. RAM just introduced much larger incentives. I think his 2025 RAM is much nicer than his 2022 F150.
@@paulmoss7940 Don Franklin CDJR Corbin, Kentucky. He had to negotiate a little to get the full incentive that was advertised online.
0% interest rates have destroyed the home and auto market.
Well…..
That 1st GREY v8 RAM
looks like a GOOD BARGAIN… WHY is THAT still sitting there … !
There are some deals out there
It’s RAM. Simple enough 😂
Those prices are A JOKE! 😮
Yes they are
I'm looking for a truck that runs good and has no computer
Yes that can make things easier to fix for a home DIYer
I like the extras but my RTX4090 is more complex and powerful than all the electronics in their Trucks and costs 5k. Why do their computers cost 20k?
They are on Glue
Well…..
Nope, all the new trucks are garbage. Overpriced and not built to last. I will never purchase a new truck, I will rebuild my 2016 over and over. Traded it in for a '24 model, had nothing but problems. Took it back and got my 2016 back.
Cheers
Lots of money for good looking junk, which breaks down frequently.
V-6 Raptor for $112k or more 🤣🤣🤣 what a joke …. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Prices are ludicrous
30k! I’ll take 2. 😂😂😂
Everyone shame you when you have the basic anything...when have any car review talked good about the cheapest version of any vehicles...its always bad to buy the bottom tear..so its partly the reviewer fault..in my observation
We should always live within our means
Famous words of Trump, 'Let it Rot...Rot...Rotttttt!!!!!'😂😂😂
30 grand is still to much. My dodge ram 1500 sport was 25, granted it was 1.5 years old.
All that and a bad transmission or engine. Both if your lucky
Right?
My husband and I would like to get into either an F150 or a Silverado. We are debating l, do we buy used or brand new, or just wait into the new year and see where things go with the economy and vehicle prices/incentives.
Hmmmmmmm? FORD or Chevy both are BAD... Get a 2 year old Toyota Tundra.....unless you are NOT smart and wish to RENT / LEASE new...OUCH!
There is no way it cost even close to those prices to build these trucks. Rip offs they are
He’ll no for any of them
Sit and rot
Will wait for 25,000 off msrp...
Cheers and more deals are
Coming
Why would I buy a Truck that I don't want just because it has a low price - I want a good truck for a decent Price Period (under 50k US)
GMC should be equipped with your own mechanic and tow truck hahaha 😂LMAO
Haha. Snapped lifters are the ruling failure mode outside of bad transmissions
They get those trucks down to 22000
These are prices PLUS interest😮😮😮😮 ummm no!!!!
Yes and compounded by brutal depreciation
@ in America we always ask how much something cost, a house or a car, but we never add the interest cost in😂😂😂😂😂😩
112,925 to 140,000 for a 2024 sport truck with a 3.0 or 3.5 Lol.
They're cheap alright but I'm not talking price. Junk electronic components, inferior steel, motors designed to wear out and hey let's put some 0 weight oil in that mother too.....no thanks I'll shop restored classics if I'm in the market!
Think about this? People spend around 45 minutes through out the day on the toilet! But they don't have all the bling in the toilet $$$ why not have a Raptor toilet or XLT or TRX? How about a Lamborghini toilet? I want to poop in style! It's the same thing with these expensive cars and trucks! It's a joke
Government, café, standards the epa expensive emissions components greedy dealers and ceo with investors breaking down their necks.
50k and still can’t get a V8
NO
Cheers
Still driving my 2002 GMC DURAMAX, 350K RUST FREE ,NOT WINTER DRIVEN.😊😊😊😊😊
49,000 plus 18,000 on extras.
Your lieing to us.
A 6 cylinder is a high reving piece of s***
Cheers
Not really it is 2 fuckin expensive
Tavares was trying to force Americans into driving small electric cars. Tavares and the WEF can suck start a 12g. Glad he's gone.
You cant conver CAD TO Us dollars like that. Amricans have the higher salaries and much lower car orices
That’s true and Canadians overpay for everything even after paying some of the highest taxes and softest salaries
Even with the simple conversion, these vehicles are stupidly expensive, and the US lap dogs are still lapping them up
A Stellantis truck? Would I buy one? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ....
Ford and company suck ! The quilty of the cars and trucks are not worth my sweat !
I just bought a used 2021 Toyota Tacoma....$40495.00 + tx....that's the selling point for that year
Nice
Tacos give me indigestion 😂
@@pmscalisi General motors and Ford and dodge give you DEATH
Sorry, some Mortgage payments are cheaper than that and real estate does go up in value, pickup trucks don't 😂😂😂LMAO $145k for a half ton truck 😅😂😂LMAO
Nope
Cheers
Y'all getting screwed in Canada
Yes in a big way
Engines cost BILLIONS of dollars to develop. What is this dude talking about. 😂
Lol these engines are the same ones that have been around for a decade or more. I think they’ve had their time to recover development costs.
Won't buy even for $30k.
Thanks
I want 25 k no more
Damn
Exactly
Yo
Yes?
Ford is garbage ram is garbage
Get your asses to the dealerships and buy one, now!!!
Only on the best deals
