Simple solution. Make good quality trucks for 35 to 45k.
See that BYD truck 🛻 20 grand
Blue collar workers won't or can't afford these type of trucks, sad but greedy CEO's love of money is driving this🤷🏽
bring inflation back to 2006 levels
good quality i would pay 55k. No such thing now. GM can choke on the 2.7 turbo
@kimscheie
In mandarin
BYD=Build Your Dream
=same expression of in your dream😅😅😅
They INTENTIONALLY made nothing but loaded-out “pimp trucks” with half a bed and priced the average person out of truck ownership.
People buying these trucks don’t use the bed lol it’s crazy to me people buy truck and don’t use them as trucks
I FOR ONE HOPE THESE SCAMMER DEALERS
GO OUT OF BUSINESS !
Corporate greed is a bad way to go thru life!
But people on FB marketplace are selling their 30 year old 400k miles truck for more than 10k. I guess its the common folks too
Junk. Over priced. We will no longer pay for these overpriced trucks.
Someone will buy them, we all know that guy. lmao
Guys who want to feel like man, buy these overpriced $hit trucks
My old Ford looks like crap. It is in good mechanical condition. I will fix and repair daily forever.
They haven't made a real Bronco for 30+years
Should of never went over 40k for a top trim full size.
Ford's profits for 2023 were up 4.3B, yes with a B. They made 4.3B off overcharging us for vehicles. Not only am I not sheading any tears, Im actually quite happy the auto industry is where it is, many of the manufacturers deserve this for what they've done over the last few years.
Don't blame me, I still drive my 1990 super duty with a 7.3idi!
Part of the problem too is that the finance companies/banks have been extending the length of their loans. Used to be 5 years was max. Then 7, now I've heard that 9 years is not uncommon. All to bring the monthly payments down to a lower level so people can make the payments. If the banks went back to a 5 year max, the prices would have to come down. I'll keep my 2015 F150 XLT FX4 Super Crew Cab I bout new in 2015 for around 48k (which was a lot back then). It's paid for and runs perfectly fine after 280,000 kms. I just can't justify the cost of the trucks and the financing terms and the cost after the loan is done.
It should be plain common sense that this pricing is unsustainable. This industry isn't thinking beyond the length of their nose.
Screw these dealerships. I want the manufacturers to let us order direct and deliver to us. And I wouldn't buy anything with Harley Davidson name on it. They trashed themselves.
Funny, you can sign the paperwork drive off the lot and make a U-turn to bring it back for a recall!
People need to go back to purchasing vehicles not leasing them. Leasing has driven the prices up and quality down.
Awesome video Mark 👌👌🙏
$86k for an F-150???😂😂😂
in canada a tacoma trailhunter cost 92k+ tx, when money worth nothing price goes up
😂😂😂
Ford Eco boost V6 has an internal water pump. Instead of a one hour job, it's an all day job or more. Some even have fan belts in the oil. Pure junk. There was no reason to take good engineering and make junk. Now you need to research to be sure your engine does not have these items.
Interest rates were cheap 3 years ago. Now prices are higher and rates are higher and insurance is high. . Making payments on a new car is significantly higher.
And prices hardly can't come down much. Unions are giving workers raises over the next 3 or so years.
Has to be trouble coming in the veicle industry. More people will likely be switching back to driving a car instead of an suv.
My wife wanted me to replace my Tundra. It has 100k so just broken in. I could cut a check for any of those trucks but the value isn't there. Well you don't save money buy throwing it away and I can get thirty years more on my truck if I have to. The last house I bought only cost 5k more than a new F-150 and it's a nice small house in a nice small town.
The auto manufacturer record the sale at time of shipping to the dealership. The dealership is not part of the manufacturer's financial statement is based on the manufacturer's sales only. Manufacturers are known to dump lots of inventory onto the dealerships in December to boost the manufacturer's sales.
I'm about to give up in my 2023 f150 (2.7,6 cylinders) not only for the high payments, but I been seeing lots of RUclips videos where there are many potential problems waiting to happen like the turbos, and I just saw a video where the oil pump is driving by a internal rubber belt! unless myself or someone else is lucky we won't have issues with it , these days there is no vehicle (truck) mechanic reliable, and affordable for many of us
I bought my 2014 ford f150 stx brand new for around $32k. It now has over 140k miles on it and I've been looking around at getting a new, but there is no way I will pay these prices they are wanting for a new one. I'll just keep my old one going for as long as I can and hope prices come down soon. I can buy several more acres of land for the price of a new truck.
I have a small fleet of vehicles that we now overhaul and return to service rather than absorb CRAZY DEBT for the lastest trash vehicles.
I found a very old newspaper in my dads basement a few weeks ago from 1977. I seen a ad in this paper from a chevy dealership, some of the cars were more exspensive then the trucks. Nova $4500, Monte carlo $5500, Impala $5200, chevy pickup long wide $5100. If we could only go back in time.
yea but in 1977 minimum wage was $1.40.hr
Yes ! 35 to 45K, a new Excursion 4X4 Limited Edition cost 43K in 2005! No excuses for excessive pricing !
Exactly!
They do not have profit issues, look to see how much the CEOs bonus is. If they do not have profit then they would not have huge bonus.
Big guy great words ! but your truck just gets kooler every year till one day it’s too Kool … keep it running need a hand 🤚 always keep an eye out for parts put em on a shelf .. guy handed me throttle body for mine sitting on my part shelf now .. thx Ming
I want another 1500 GMC Sierra Crew Cab with a 5.3 … been driving a midsize truck for 18 months. It does everything I need it for but still don’t like it. HOWEVER … every brand out there has major issues. Every brand.
Ford the truck brand that won't rust, they are made of aluminum
A lot of these Manufacturers are building junk engines, transmissions and other parts. Ford, Tacomas and Chevy 4cyl and 6 cyl turbos with major breakdowns especially after warranty periods. Also Ford V8 5.0 Coyote has major recalls with excessive oil consumption and some burning up coolant. GMs V8 6.2 and Tundra V6 engine turning to boat anchors.
The prices have been overly marked up and it’s not just the Dealers fault but the people buying them. Stop buying and the prices will come back to reasonable. Not from the Dealers insane marked up prices to begin so called now sales price.
A lot of these trucks will be out of warranty and will have no real resale value because of there failing engines and transmission reputations are not reliable. If there not reliable when new, what are they going to be when old? On the side of the road.
People need to stop buying the dealers unreliable insanely marked up MSRP and wait until they build reliable cars and trucks again. Meanwhile buy used reliable history vehicles until then.
starting in ‘98 I bought 2-3 yr old Cads and in ‘17 an accident at the garage set me to car hunting and am still driving the 05 gran caravan mainly because all prices were Out rageous and no one knew how to build a dependable car for a decent price.
If a store has a high price, 40 percent higher than comparable store…then give you 25 percent off, your still getting screwed.
I just got my old
changed, about 2 weeks later now I have a check engine light on! And a tail light light bulb went out and that light bulb cost 38 bucks, not installed!, etc.
The reason their older trucks would last a million miles is because they used to test them religiously for any kind of scenario the vehicle could ever be in running them non stop without oil changes so they would see what parts were the weak links they don’t do anything like that anymore. I bet they don’t even use their torture track anymore.
I fully agree 👍
Thanks
I want a 2026 truck with the 2001 basic load silverado option in it - No dumb info sceens or cyl shut downs. Ease of Credit ( companies fighting over it and pushing it is also to blame.
I had to buy bigger truck to put a fifth wheel on it and I found a 20 year old Ford F250 in good shape. I snapped it up for 11 grand and I’m happy.
It is a 6.0 power stroke previous owner had all the paperwork well maintained I feel fortunate
Please everyone check Kelly’s bluebook value. It is the insurance adjusters guide to how much vehicles are worth. Every vehicle in America has a set price set by insurance and car adjusters not the car dealerships. This works for every vehicle. A vehicle is 2025 or older imagine paying $70,000 driving away someone T-bones you insurance adjuster turns around and offers you $40,000total price the more you know the better deal you can make
67k for an XL F150… unreal. I paid 67k for my 2022 F350 Lariat Ultimate 7.3L. I put about 1/4 down and got 2.99% interest and I STILL feel like I got screwed. I only went new because the the used ones with well over 50k miles were the same price…
“Big Rhonda” is the “drive it to the death” truck. No more new vehicles, my friends.
Lowest prices for those raggedy engines I want one new car in my life and I'm still driving it and when I'm done I'll buy me something that I can put together real quick and get from point a to point c the long trip or rent a car
Lol the bronco looks like a kia mini van...or a 4x4 toaster
Some people just love to show off and overpay for products to pretend to be wealthy while living paycheck to paycheck.
Yes indeed
Any sane person will not pay 70-90 thousand dollars for any vehicle that won't last a year witout having major problems. I'll keep my 02. Runs great no problems
Bought my F-150 S-crew 5.0 for $24K. Put running boards, bed liner, 1000 watt stereo and new wheels/tires on and still came in at $30K. Paid it off in 3 years and it's still going strong at 250K miles. No way in H I'll EVER pay $70K+ for a truck.
I worry my Covid 2021 Tundra build will have some problems from Covid but at least it was $41k not $60-70k for a work truck
I'm waiting for the price drop. Truck shopping now
Keep being a pest. ❤.
I purchased a new F250 in 2003 , I wanted to buy used but could ave hardly any $ plus not finding the features I wanted. Drove it until 2017 and purchased a used 2016 F150. Much easier to find a 1/2 used. I almost bought new then. I think 2025 will be a market adjustment or correction. I truly can’t afford new now. I feel one of the ways the “ pricing bubble “ lasted as long as it has is : Many people now drive a truck that could be driving a luxury car. Similar to a person going from a high priced housing market to a poor state and rural market. Everything seems cheap so buy the highest package available, because after all they want a Mercedes level of trim and comfort. Plus the load carrying capacity they care about are how many golf clubs can I carry. 😂 Plus in a Ford you just keep loosing trim features at the lower levels. Love the aluminum body, I live in a part of the country where we salt the roads at least 6 months a year. My 2016 with just under 200,000 miles , not a speck of rust. Stellantis may REALLY drop prices and I may move to a RAM. I am not going to keep trucks as long moving forward. Trade or sell at 120,000 or so. Unless you get a bad one and they ALL turn out a lemon once in a while ! Should have no real issues in that mileage range.
2020 made me realize the lie we live in. I won't EVER buy ANYTHING I don't need. EVER.
They are getting screwed so bad because they chose to buy them at those prices
The consumer has the control " JUST SAY NO "
I looked in to getting a ford transit but they are almost all work vans.
Remember working for Hinda back in 2000 when the first Honda S2000 came out. The price on those car was 35k-40k and the sales guy increased the 5 to 10k over the msrp.
67 k for a base F150? To make one at that price is nuts . To buy one at that price is nuts .
I dont know where you located. But that 86k truck vosts 60k in cali
Pre and post Covid made vehicle and machines are definitely a big difference in quality. I have a 2017 f-150 lariat 4x4 and it’s been such a good truck. No issues. It I have friends with new trucks and they have constant issues. I’ll be keeping my truck for a long time .185k for a truck. That’s a joke. Lift kits and wheels and tires do t cost 60k. People need to let all these vehicles rot. The prices need to come down. In 2018 I was getting prices for a loaded lariat f-350 diesel 4x4 crew under 90k
Chevy is doing the same thing! They got me on a Silverado.😉
I saw the cartoon on a Chevy truck gage recently and was totally disgusted. Pimp ride applies. Add some curb feelers while you're at it.
In 2018 I bought the last new truck I'll probably ever buy. Even at 50k it was ridiculous, but there's no chance I'm paying 90k for a half ton. A new half ton truck should not be any more than 40k and that's with taxes included!!!
Mud guards cost $50 at the spare parts department
The only way they’ll get rid of them fast is cheap leases, but they won’t give them away that easy
38 miles 2024 ram 2500 tradesman crew cab 6.4L 6’4 bed $62k out the door. Waiting over an hour to get the best deal all cash. $52k as the best they could do. Driving 10 minutes on the road back home, got a call from finance guy $49,999 today. Nope! All of sudden, got a call the next day from salesman, $47,999. Nope! They know they are being overpriced!
It’s crazy what we pay in insurance then it’s never worth what your paying in to either
Nissan Titan $46,690 --- 2025 Nissan Frontier $32,050
Yep and the Frontier still has the V6 and still reliable.
And naturally aspirated which is a plus.@johnb6084
If the Subaru Baja is actually returning, that sounds like the best deal. Btw, the broncos are uglier than the baja. Ugliest car list: 1. Nissan Juke 2. Jeep Truck 3. Ford Bronco
For should get the top of the line pickup truck . It has a frame motor ,transmission, differentials made of solid metel ,the rest is tin and plastic . I can drive the damn thing ,I can put my own tailgate down and climb in.give me heat ,air and manual windows, and power steering. The sh_t has been made for decades. If you want to change something, put metal back into the tin body so it doesn't dent if the wind blows.
I hope most loose their butts, but those making 6 figs are still buying to show that they got a big pay check. The will pay $40k over what the truck is worth.
I deed
Bought a 2012 dodge ram 1500 SLT 3 hand with 250,000km.....for 7500$
1500$ Ball barring fix
300$ Battery
100$ per week gas
Starting cold issues
Heating/cooling fan sounds loud
Engine sounds loud
Other trucks in market selling for $10k+ with Cam phaser issues.....heating coil issues.....battery drain.......
Couldn't find Good reputation trucks for under 15k.....
Toyota trucks with 375k mileage with complete rust selling for 15k......
Should have listened to everyone. Yaris was the move😂
Have at least one car/truck pre computer... forever reliable, repairable... yes it's old.. 70's 80's Mercedes diesel
Extra garbage on the garbage trucks with recals
Bay a Classic truck . Made better and are cheaper . And fix it up with what ever you want . And they go up in value .
Indeed simple and easy to fix
Caredge found a US dealer selling a 3yr old Waganeer lot rot for $111,000 with a jeep compose through in, CE did a resale dealer offer for it, $55,000 was the result. Stay away from lot rot.
We need to force them to drop these prices then give them business.. but until then don’t give them a dime!!!
I hope those that bought new vehicles in the last 5 years got GAP INSURANCE.
if manufacturers lower new vehicles your vehicle is worth much less.
Insurance covers 80% of the value if totalled.
Now paying for a vehicle that you don't have.
GAP INSURANCE COVERS THE DIFFERENCE between what insurance companies pay to your Financial Institutions.
$67,000! for that truck is INSANE!!!!!!!!
changing the oil every 5,000 miles will add longer life to the engine
The only occupation that lies more than politician is a car dealer. New or used.
The pyramid scheme between dealers lenders and insurance is out of control which just destroys your credit. Enough already
Yup.. Just grab that 2025 Ram 4x4 V6 ETorque..👍 for the price 💯...
nice
2023 Toyotas still high used at 40g and more
Because people are stupid enough to pay those high prices!
The lot rot buyer doesn't know what happens to the value of their 2 - 3 year old"new" vehicles in an accident insurance payout.
They've made their beds...now lay in it. No bailouts this time...don't let them cry about going belly-up.
It will end soon
Dealers are out of control with every step of the sales process, and it's the manufacturers fault . The numberous ways they were gouging the consumer is unconscionable . I had a lady at a Ford dealer finance department come close to verbally assault me and my wife when I told her I was using my own banks line credit to make the purchase . She would not deal with me anymore and sent a kid to close it instead . Can you imagine Ford allowing this woman to represent their name . The next time I buy a new vehicle I think I will wear my hockey gear .
Simple insanity. They will rue the day and lose their ass on this lunacy.
They can sell just a few trucks like there doing and make enormous amount of profits
its only in usa that is expansive selling price
Small engines are to meet the Governments gas mandates.
New designs, new problems.
Lots of problems.
factory warranty has always been bull...
I just paid 30k for a 2022 f250 with 80k miles.
the reconning is coming, they will all be selling new old stock.50 % depreciation.and with all the repos they will have trucks coming out of their ears
People need to stop buying.
My dad was able to get a 2025 Subaru for $3,500 under msrp
American car buyers are like gpu buyers, no matter how absurd these companies price their mediocre products, there are a lot of people out there will to pay
Cylinder Deact shit is a joke. The turbos are not the answer either. These trucks are ridiculous.
Hope All Consumers Hold Out For Another 2 Years And Demand Better Quality And Lower Prices. The Manufacturers Have Made Billions And Will Survive. It's The Employees Who Will Suffer But Millions & Millions Of American Consumers Have Been Suffering For The Last 5 Years...Hold Onto Your Current Vehicle And Your Money. Show These Manufacturers AKA Animals Who's In Control...😊😊😊
And new trucks don't even have a big bed anymore how stupid
Love to sell em' to you but hate to honor any obligations to repair under warranty
"Harley Davidson" truck? Seems like looking at a child's toy box.
HD,heavy duty and Harley as the king of the road naughty😅
Junk cars/trucks they don’t last like they used to , everything is plastic.
Bidenomics! It's not Rocket Science.
And "CUSTOMERS " are "Still paying these prices".
