Hey AuthenTech awesome review you have here..! but had you landed into the water then you would have also made into our compilation of drone crashes :-) , either way you have me sold on the product as ive decided to pull the trigger and buy it.
Actually a bad review, and not doing parrot any favors. Even the best DJI drones tend to look like crap at high speed in high winds, because the more the camera is jostled and vibrated the worse the quality of the video. The Parrot doesn't even have a full 3-way gimbal, so its going to be even more affected since its using hybrid software stabilization. To get a true idea of how good the quality would be, he should be flying early in the morning with low wind and at slower speed and with the camera hovering steady.
I have a dji spark and I think this is so good for the drone world because this is the first parrot drone that is "youtuber quality" aka it has good camera long battery life and small.this will make dji improve their products and it will be better for us consumers
Seems like a great drone for people who 'can' fly. I like flying without all the update restrictions. Great job on this review...looking forward to more from you...
Parrot has come a long way! This drone is impressive! I’ve owned the Parrot Bebop/Bebop 2 & now this! This drone is a little too reasonable at it’s price point! Great product @ a great price too!
Seems pretty cool. Better than I expected, with some great features. Personally don't think it's enough to properly compete with Dji however. But hey, that's just my opinion. Great video man.
I have other Parrot drones have had no problems with them at all. I will have the same no problem buying this drone when available. Great video. Would like to see a true range test.
Definitely look like a good alternative to DJI, and as long as the in-app purchase is not too expensive, then it is not a problem. At least you can get other flight modes, without having to buy a new drone. And I am looking forward to the controller/app in-depth review.
Great review! I have Parrot Bebop 2 and Mavic Air. I really like the Parrot software. It’s much better than DJI in my opinion. For example the Parrot Follow Me works much better than DJI Active Track. But the DJI hardware just is way better than Bebop 2. It’s nice to see Parrot finally has new drone with 4K video and gimbal. I’m probably not going to buy this one, because I don’t need more drones. But I’m happy to see Parrot is back in the game.
Video HDR might as well be done post anyway. It would probably be better to adjust exposure down a bit to save the highlights and do the rest on a computer. It really looked terrible. I am very excited about how quiet this drone is though. I'm torn between this very important quality and DJI's superb goggles and FPV view. I'm seeing the a Spark with the Fly More combo and DJI goggles (all refurbished) for $600. I know the Spark video wouldn't be nearly as good but actual flying would be very nice.
Francesco Tommaso Savino I thought HDR video can only be watched on an HDR compatible TV or other compatible device or is this a different type of Hdr similar to photo hdr.
Not sure why, but RUclips unsubbed me from your channel. I re-upped though. Nice snappy presentation and review. Looking forward to your follow-up vids. Deliberating between this the EVO or one of the compact DJI drones.
Obviously the charging time depends on your charger. With a typical usb-c power delivery charger it takes around 1h10min. Your charging time was probably higher due to the low current delivered by your charger.
Interesting... I'll keep looking for better/faster solutions. I specifically used a USB 3.1 cable (max load 2.4A?) with QC3.0 support as well.. Maybe a OnePlus Dash charger works better?
I would check the charger and cable’s specs that both explicitly support the “power delivery” standard up to 60W or up to 100W, otherwise they can’t properly negotiate the fastest charging. These PD cables seem to have a chip in the connector. If they can’t negotiate it probably defaults back to normal slow charging...
How do you get the photos taken on the Drone on to your phone that you hold in the controller. My gallery in the app says it's empty and all videos and pictures have to be downloaded from the SD card. Am I doing something wrong or do you have to download them from the SD card every time?
Big ups to you Ben. sincerely this is one of the best drone reviews I have ever scene. I will like to see an unboxing and hands on review of the New autel EVO drone. Thanks
Looks interesting. It's notable that such a light craft held its own in the wind. Competition, though, is tough at the moment, with DJI's announcement just around the corner, along with the Autel offering. That being so, I'm surprised they haven't (yet, at least) offered the "advanced" features for free as an early adopter offering. Wouldn't quite pull me in before 18-July, but could beef up the sales some. Thanks, Ben. Nice job of being unbiased. Looking forward to more on this.
prodmartinez DJI will have a press announcement on July 18 in New York City. Rumors of what will be announced abound so I won't add to the noise. But if you search the WWW for "DJI July 18“ you just might be amazed.
Mine arrive on Monday. I look forward to try it on my own. Regarding to your video, it seems very promising. I was particularly amazed when you fly over the ducks and they are not afraid. Seems so quiet.
I have few question about this drone. Hows the connection with the joystic? Is it stable? And when hovering is this drone stable? When bettry is low, Return to home mode also stable?
I am interested to know if there are battery chargers for this drone on the field, or is it cheaper to buy another battery. Thank you for the Video very explanatory, down to earth and very impressive.
a fair review. Yes it doesn't have ALL features currently on the market, but at that price some things need to be compromised for sure. For me at least it has everything I need, and wanted, upgrading from my BB1 and BB2 drones. A definitely upgrade if that's where you are coming from. Nice to see Parrot pushing the market again after a couple of years in the wilderness. The BB2 Power was a bit of an embarrassment, though the BB2 was cool when it launched, it's thoroughly outdated now. Agree the IAP are tiresome, but again not everyone wants them - though I can't think why ! In effect it's not really a £600 drone set-up as you need a) an second battery at least b) a bigger SD Card - 64GB at least c) a second bag for the controller, or larger carry bag for both, d) you really need the £40 worth of IAP to unlock the potential of the unit and, finally e) a large Powerbank to recharge your batteries on the go. All up that's a combined outlay of £750 - £800 at least I'd say. Having owned Bebops for 3 years I'm looking forward to experimenting with the new features, and getting superior quality of footage that I always missed out on. Zoom is great, Dolly Zoom is cool, Upward shooting is amazing, and 25 mins actual flight time is essential. Well done Parrot, you saved your ass with the ANAFI :)
I have a Mavic Air and have to drive 30 miles from my home (I live about 5 miles from an airport) to fly it, even indoors. Will this Parrot allow me to fly it at home (does it have fly restrictions like my Mavic AIr?) Thanks, Bobby
Hi guys, I`ver got a question: Does the Anafi still use its gimbal when you are in sport mode? E.g. the dji spark`s gimbal isn`t activated while flying in the sport mode.
Yup, here's the electric scooters we were riding: Electric Unicycle Scooter: ruclips.net/video/Vg-B798SmtQ/видео.html Electric Gigabyke eBike: ruclips.net/video/QF-6QHWgTnw/видео.html
Could you theoretically only use your phone to fly the drone for basic shots? Packing real light for a couple of months in Japan. Would like a drone that you don't need a controller for.
It's a great question, and unfortunately I haven't gotten to test flying the drone solely with a phone, though yes it is possible. I'd recommend though, if you can fit the controller, definitely bring it. It adds a ton of functionality and finesse in flight.
I'm kinda thinking HDR off looked WAY better. What would be the benefits of that? Also, what about build quality? Just from looking that plastic looks like it would break easily, but other than that, this looks like a fun drone for the price point. I may have to look into this. And are there still in-app purchases? Sorry for all the questions. I would also love to see you compare this with Autel's new EVO. I need a professional to review that one.
Haha, it was some random LED panel carrying case that was a spare in the closet. Sorry I don't have a link for it. :) A simple backpack works good too I found
So, Ben, even though it doesn't have any prop guards, what would you think about this being my first drone? I would hate to spend $100 or $150 on a beginners drone when I wanted something like this! What you think?
I think it all depends on what features and use you'll have. Is it all just for fun, learning to fly basics, or to capture beautiful aerial photos or videos... do you need prop guards or obstacle avoidance, what kind of areas will you be flying in... Each persons budget and scenario varies the outcome I'd say :) Happy Flying!
Pardon me sir. How do you get manufacturing company's to send you drones? I have the yuneec breeze 4k and i absolutely love it. I never really had a hobby but this is deffintly something i love doing
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke Thanks. This is a deal breaker for me. The Evo shows flight time left including my phantom 3 advanced and Spark. My Yuneec q500 4k only shows battery bars which is a bit annoying. It seems the Anafi does show when RTH is needed but not the flight time duration. The Xiaomi mi drone only shows a a battery bar / percentage left. It seems dji’s presentation of battery life is much superior compared to other drones showing the return to home point visually on a graph. Thanks for your video.
Super pumped about this one! What do you think of this new ANAFI 4k HDR drone?!

Hey AuthenTech awesome review you have here..! but had you landed into the water then you would have also made into our compilation of drone crashes :-) , either way you have me sold on the product as ive decided to pull the trigger and buy it.
Just dropped the price. I am actually quite Interested. Great review.
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke can you use an iphone se or.....
That 90 degree tilt up is quite a feature! I have never considered that no other system does this until now.
Fantastic review! I really appreciate your editing style, nice work dude!
Thanks so much man!
Actually a bad review, and not doing parrot any favors. This drone seem interessting and i been more surprised by the location, such a lovely place...

Seems like a great drone for people who 'can' fly. I like flying without all the update restrictions. Great job on this review...looking forward to more from you...
I like this part of the video 2:19 .Keep up the good work ben :) You deserve more views and subs
Thanks man! It was one of my fav parts of the vid too :) Playing with new fun shooting/editing styles, etc
*just bought my first drone the bebop 1 with SC, still in the mail. because of you i think this will be my second drone purchase.*
This is great more competition to DJI means winners for drone pilots everywhere !
Very useful review, thanks Ben.
Thank you, sir!
I have other Parrot drones have had no problems with them at all. I will have the same no problem buying this drone when available. Great video. Would like to see a true range test.
I waited 3years for this. Worth the wait.
INCOMPETENCIA TOTAL DEL SERVICIO TÉCNICO DE PARROT!
Definitely look like a good alternative to DJI, and as long as the in-app purchase is not too expensive, then it is not a problem.
At least you can get other flight modes, without having to buy a new drone.
And I am looking forward to the controller/app in-depth review.
Best Anafi review so far!!
Thanks!
My next birthday present for sure I can't wait to put my hands on this
When you spend so much cash on a drone, having to buy extra in app purchases *really* takes the piss.
it still costs money, but now it is 1 dollar each :-)
Great review! But I’m happy to see Parrot is back in the game.
nice review ! could you also test how the dynamic range is in comparison to DJI ? looking forward to your next video
Great overview. I look forward to your in depth review. Thanks.
Thanks, Jon
I will definetly be investing in this device!! Thank you soooo much!!
Fantastic review brother, great job, looks good. 😁😊😁😊
Thank you!
can you record audio through your phone while flying the drone?
El servicio de atención al cliente Parrot ha reaccionado positivamente con la garantía. Sigo con Parrot Anafi...!
It cost only £469 in UK. With additional batteries under £700. Think that is a good option for the price. Lovely review
On the first scenes, i have to say, the HDR removed too many shadows and everything looked washed out. Did you get the same feeling, Ben?
i believe he had it on p log so its supposed to be washed out for color grading later
\
All HDR footage was unedited, but yea, throw a little contrast editing back in could make it look real nice
Francesco Tommaso Savino I thought HDR video can only be watched on an HDR compatible TV or other compatible device or is this a different type of Hdr similar to photo hdr.
Thanks again for a great review- much appreciated
Epic vid Ben
Thanks, Luke
Espectacular review, y muy buen trabajo de edición! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
at last normal review ! thank you !
what's normal? You mean done by a photograpgy pro not a fellow user.
Becker's Reviews not only unbox and fly in room and nothing else
Would this be a good drone for a total beginer? or should I start with something cheaper, easier to fly maybe?
Can't wait for the follow up video! Thanks Ben!
Is there any sort of hdmi or video out that allows you to connect another source for viewing?
Not sure why, but RUclips unsubbed me from your channel. I re-upped though. Nice snappy presentation and review. Looking forward to your follow-up vids. Deliberating between this the EVO or one of the compact DJI drones.
Weird, thanks for letting me know! Thanks for the re-sub! ;)
ME TOO!! I can't decide between the EVO or this!
Hey Ben. nice video keep it up👍
Obviously the charging time depends on your charger. With a typical usb-c power delivery charger it takes around 1h10min. Your charging time was probably higher due to the low current delivered by your charger.
I looked into this, and was using a QC 3.0 charger, I thought that was pretty high output..? What can I use instead to achieve the 1h10min?
I think your charger and cable needs to support “power delivery” 60W standard ; that’s different than these older quick charge standards
If max is 2.4A, you can only charge the battery with 12watt input. Anafi's battery support max 24watt
Thanks
Thank you, sir! They *said* one is coming, we'll see ;)
What about attaching the props...is a tool required? How would this play into a pre-flight checklist?
Nice review Man..! Thanks for sharing..
Thank you for watching and commenting :)
i like your review man! and whoa what lovely place!
Not the first but still very happy to see Ben reviewing this drone ! =)
lol becky now thats how you review a drone
Haha, thanks man
Agreed =)
Did you at least notice that the geese weren't panicking while the drone came so close to them? This is astounding.
Cool video thanks I cant wait till they come to Australia
Nice video! Nice and to the point Thanks for sharing.
Looks interesting. It's notable that such a light craft held its own in the wind. Thanks so much for the kind remarks
Dennis Lovelady which dji announcement?
prodmartinez DJI will have a press announcement on July 18 in New York City. Rumors of what will be announced abound so I won't add to the noise. But if you search the WWW for "DJI July 18“ you just might be amazed.
well, taking into account the mavic air fly more costs nearly double that of the anafi.. i think its a nice compromise.
Does it have a non-fly gimbal mode? That would be a big selling point.
Can you tell me if there are any batteries already on sale for Anafi?
Mine arrive on Monday. I look forward to try it on my own. Regarding to your video, it seems very promising.
I was particularly amazed when you fly over the ducks and they are not afraid. Seems so quiet.
I don't think they *loved* it, but prob less scared than normal :)
Thanks for the video. My favourite is your testing ground around the dam. It looks amazing in the footage. Where is that?
Great video 👍
Love from Malaysian sir.. done Sub and thx for give us review for this new drone.. Hope you got more and more video for the future..
I saw on your phone screen in the Parrot application an anti flickering option. What it does exactly?
I have few question about this drone.
Hows the connection with the joystic? Is it stable?
And when hovering is this drone stable?
When bettry is low, Return to home mode also stable?
I'm definitely buying this. It will be a large upgrade from the parrot bebop power 2
Wow!! Great Video!
how long did it take to charge with your battery bank because with my phone charger it takes forever please thank you
Hi any idea how I can resolve the laggy camera feed while flying my parrot anafi
4k at 30 and or 60 fps?
4K Cinema 4096x2160 24fps
4K UHD 3840x2160 24/25/30fps
FHD 1920x1080 24/25/30/48/50/60fps
Thanks. Seems like a very good drone for that price point. Great vid as usual
That's what DJI wants you to think. Come on. Support some competition. This is great.
great video man, keep up the good work
Hi does anyone know if you can set the gimbal electronically, so you can fly without gimbal and a fixed camera point
what is the time duration and how many parameter can it go on single battery life?
totally off the subject but where did you get that canvas bag, perfect size for carrying this around.
Lol, other's have asked this as well :) It was some random light bag found in my closet
I am interested to know if there are battery chargers for this drone on the field, or is it cheaper to buy another battery. Thank you for the Video very explanatory, down to earth and very impressive.
hi, thank you for the video. What is your first impression? is the photo and video quality better than the mavic air?
Hello which app works better for an android phone? Thanks
man..very good review
this place where you live is so beauty
I LOVE ANAFI.

Very cool review! ANAFI looks amazing!
Hi guys, I`ver got a question: Does the Anafi still use its gimbal when you are in sport mode? E.g. the dji spark`s gimbal isn`t activated while flying in the sport mode.
Yes, thankfully it does
Great video. Looks promising
Cant wait for the side by side comparison with the mavic air ! been lookin around for a drone thats somewhat chep and wont be a waste of money!!
What about lens filters , what would you recommend ??, Just bought this model .Thanks very good review 10 of 10 !!!
Would love for you to do a video of the thermal version of Parrot Anafi with some night time video
The HDR mode looks amazing.
I have seen it advertised as having an "FPV" mode where it comes with goggles. Did you see that and can you test it in the future?
Nice review well put together, btw whats the scooter you riding, is it electric?
Yup, here's the electric scooters we were riding:
Electric Unicycle Scooter: ruclips.net/video/Vg-B798SmtQ/видео.html
Electric Gigabyke eBike: ruclips.net/video/QF-6QHWgTnw/видео.html
Thank you for this video - very informative. :-)
Thanks for the response!
The GoPro Karma has the ability to look straight up as well!
I need a professional to review that one.
thanks for the video, great job
Hi great review just wondering what carry case you used to transport the anafi. Looks like it fits great
Haha, it was some random LED panel carrying case that was a spare in the closet. Sorry I don't have a link for it. :) A simple backpack works good too I found
Love the review :) what type of in flight goggles would you recommend for use with this drone?
What messenger bag were you using for the parrot anafi case + remote
Just some random LED light bag from this Fositan kit: amzn.to/2kUBPnp
Nice edit! Promising drone. Keep it up! Subbed
Thanks for the sub!
Love it :)
Super Innovative :)
Is there an hdmi out?
I enjoyed this video! One of the best drones I've seen! And that sucker moves like a F-16 fighter jet! (figure of speech) Thanks for sharing! 👍🏾
Quick question - does it show the flight time duration left?
Good question, I know it shows percentage of battery life, not sure flight duration time - anyone else know this?
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke Thanks. This is a deal breaker for me. The Evo shows flight time left including my phantom 3 advanced and Spark. My Yuneec q500 4k only shows battery bars which is a bit annoying. It seems the Anafi does show when RTH is needed but not the flight time duration. The Xiaomi mi drone only shows a a battery bar / percentage left. It seems dji’s presentation of battery life is much superior compared to other drones showing the return to home point visually on a graph. Thanks for your video.
Great review mate, Your thoughts 6 months after this?
Very nice video.
Thanks!
So the Anafi has zoom capability?
Hello! ANAFI is a Japanese woman I love. It's fun because I love piloting.
Good 1st look!
