Thank you so much for your informative tutorials and education with embroidery. Enjoy your vacation in Oklahoma.

    This bag came out really cute. Couple of errors I made - first I sewed both linings on with the back unpick and redo. I then had the wrong front file. I couldn't understand why my outline was so much larger (haha). Third I missed the step where we are told to throw it out if we missed it. I unhooped it and sewed with the machine so I was able to salvage what was done. I really enjoy your videos. Happy Holidays!

    Hey Becky, I have a question, I embroidery and I also like grow my own food, now indoors and if you're familiar with the Kratky Method, then you would know it's to grow food in mason jars. Well growing food in the mason jars, the jars have to be covered so the light will not cause algae to grow, and since I like to embroidery and save money, I came across your video for pouches. I'm thinking I could make my own pouches in black to blackout the light. (Sorry for being long winded.) Could you tell me if the large pouch in your video would fit a 32 oz mason jar, just up to the bottom of the lid, not the whole jar. Thanks

      That's not necessarily a bad thing! I think that learning to center in the hoop manually is good before getting all the fancy equipment anyway. It really helped me to understand embroidery better to do it the old fashioned way with my earlier machine. :)

    Becky, is a Baby Lock Ellageo3 Plus a good machine to buy-just a little over 1 million stitches, $900?

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  4 года назад

      I think that's a pretty good price actually. It has a 6x10 hoop and takes a USB so those are two of my must-haves on an embroidery machine. Everything I read was good. I think you'll be happy with it.

    Really enjoyed this video. You made it looks so easy. Also, what is the name of that iron you use?

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  4 года назад

      It is a Sapporo 527 Gravity Fed Iron. I bought it at the Houston Quilt Fest in 2014 and I love this thing. It has NEVER spit on my fabric. If you use Distilled Water, you do not need the minerals. I've had this iron for 6 years and it still operates perfectly with distilled water. amzn.to/32rC5RO
