I know this tutorial was done a year ago but since I’m starting to watch the older ones, I wanted to thank you for the way that you walk us through every single step there is to do. Especially for us that do not have the luminaire and the other machine how you show us that you just save it to the thumb drive and then would load it into your machine that way thank you for thinking of us that don’t have the other machines.
I wish I had found you before I ended up in tears of frustration over trying to understand how to download designs from a zip file, etc. You explained the whole process so well. THANK YOU!
You are amazing. Just started hooking up a computer so I can add embroidery stuff to my machine. I have been watching you on my phone and now on you tube on my TV.
Thank you, Becky, for demonstrating how to use Thumbnailer. I purchased it the other day and couldn't figure out how to use it. Your no-nonsense instructions were invaluable. I did exactly as you explained in the video and it worked beautifully! You've boosted my confidence level. Now, I'm off to purchase Essentials.
Thank you for your videos...I just bought a Dream Machine 2...I am doing my research online because the stores are closed and I can't take a class yet. It is killing me! LOL. I am buying from JuJu should I just download the PES and not take up space on my Mac?
I appreciate how you explain it all, even the downloading and unzipping process. As far as the batting goes, I read somewhere, "dimples up, pimples down." I don't know why, but that is what I do, like you did. I am just getting into some of the DBJJ designs and I plan on doing a lot more. I am doing end to end quilting right now with one of their designs.
Becky - Thank you for your tutorials, watched a couple of them this afternoon. You make it all, so simple. Thinking of purchasing Embrilliance. Do you have a video, where you can cut part of a design and merge with another design? Can this be done in Embrilliance? Looking forward to your tutorials :)
Fantastic video and like you I love Designs by JuJu. I'm fairly new to the world of machine embroidery/ITH and I noticed that they can have a monogram or other embroidery added at a certain point in the process. How??? Again being fairly new I'm good with zipping these Mug Rugs out but would like to be able to customize. Maybe this would be a good Part 2?
Watched your video and went and finally got my software to do what it was supposed to do! Lol Thanks! Different ways of presentation, click different ideas on how I was looking at my problems.
Isn't that funny how that works? Sometimes your brain gets in the way of itself. In fact, that's how I first noticed my hubby. He was doing a presentation on some software that I had heard taught over and over and just couldn't understand. When he taught it, it "clicked"! I've loved him ever since. :)
I LOVED this video. i was searching on how to do this and found this video. IT WAS EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU! Can you please do a video on how you download fonts from JUJU to embrillance. I am brand new to all of this and your explanations are perfect for helping me understand.
Thanks so much for this video. Since we upgraded to Windows 10 I have struggled with my downloads. This makes it so clear. I’m curious on the spool the thread is on. Does the thread flow better or does it not it make a difference?
The black thread is on the top spool peg of the machine. The blue spool on its side was used to make a same-color bobbin for a different project. I personally feel like the thread feeds better from the top. Thank you!
I love your in-depth instructions. Thanks so much!! I did not know you could sew through the embroidery tape. I use the tape I purchase through Kimberbell (forgot the name of it). It does not gum up the needle or muck up the design???
Excellent explanation of the entire process. I'll be making some Mug Rugs this weekend. Showing each step is so important when just learning machine embroidery. Do you have a tutorial for the Embrilliance program?
Janay from Itch2Stitch has a fabulous 4 part video series on the Embrilliance program. That's how I learned it. They are short videos. Here is part 1 - ruclips.net/video/oV7ABGIwHwM/видео.html
Thanks for the step by step process! You always make it so clear for new embroiderers. Do you find it easier to store your downloaded designs in their zip file formats and wait to extract them until you are ready to use them? Would it save storage space on your computer to do it that way? Or do you always unzip them once downloaded?
If I buy a bunch of files at the same time, I'll only unzip what I need right then and then get to the others later. No worries about hogging your computer's memory. These files are teeny-tiny and take just a smidge of room. Like a drop of water in a 100 gallon bucket 'smidge'.
I personally think you need some sort of embroidery program if you're going to do embroidery. It helps in so many ways and really opens up a new world to the process. Can you embroider without it? Sure. You can, of course, just take designs and stitch them out on something. But Embrilliance is a game changer if you need to resize or manipulate the designs in any way. Thanks for your kind words!
One thing though you absolutely DO NOT need software to move a commercially purchased file , after you extract it from the zip, to your USB stick. You can directly move the extracted file to your usb and use it in your machine.
If you have it, I don't see why not. I'm not familiar with that software, but I did a little digging and it looks like another 3rd party embroidery manipulation software like Embrilliance. Go for it and see if it works!
This was so helpful to me!!! I need more of these in-depth directions! I have a wonderful sewing and embroidery machine that I have had several years...Janome15000. I have sewn a lot, but have never embroidered. I just didn’t know where to start. I am not as computer literate as I feel I need to be. I didn’t want to tear it up! Sherry I really enjoy all of your videos!
Oh I love her designs. I’ve bought several of her designs. Now I need to download them to my computer.

Glad I could help! Live and learn. You're ready for next time now!
Thank you so much. I’ve had Essentials but wasn’t sure how to get a design to transfer to it. I’ll give it a go tomorrow.
You are amazing. Just started hooking up a computer so I can add embroidery stuff to my machine. I have been watching you on my phone and now on you tube on my TV.

Love to watch you, you explain every thing so nicely. Where do you find all your cute quilting T Shirts. Lo
I love your in-depth instructions. Thanks so much!! I did not know you could sew through the embroidery tape. I use the tape I purchase through Kimberbell (forgot the name of it). It does not gum up the needle or muck up the design???
That was Kimberbell tape that I sewed through. lol It didn't seem to bother the needle that I can tell.
What type of batting did you use?
Super instructions! Thank you
