Hi there, I'm new to this channel and really loved the mug mat design and how you did it. I just upgraded my embroidery machine, it's not even completely unboxed yet but I really enjoyed how you worked. I'm in England and it's getting colder now too but I've found something to keep me busy and warm. I will be tuning in again soon.

This is so cute, it makes me want to do some embroidery. My son informed me that the little girl my granddaughter plays with and bakes with, has no apron. So I got a blank and I need to emb. it tomorrow. Mug rugs are such a fun small project. I want to learn to do a lot of things in the hoop. Can I ask, what are you using to film with, your phone?

Very nice mug rug!
Do you have any advice regarding needle to use, presser foot height etc for some of the more dense ITH designs? I have a Janome mc14000, and find that I get a lot of clunk-clunk-clunk sounds and thread nesting once there are a lot of layers of fabric, particularly on the satin stitch step around appliqués, and when joining pieces in multi-hoop projects.
As to sources for ITH designs I like Designs by JuJu, Kreative Kiwi, and Sweet Pea.
I’m learning how to appliqué I’ve been doing it all wrong thanks for the video

I tie the new thread to the cut piece of the old thread and pull it through saves me time from re threading every time

Hi Sue, I have just done a design by JuJu called constructosaus appliqué. Did a stitch out test on my Bernina790. I’m new to this also. Apart from the colour stitch out sheet, which I followed, there are no more instructions. I get a bit lost. ( and broke 3 needles)… I used a iron on poly mesh on the back of the pola fleece then hooped that with cutaway. I need to get some scissors like yours? What are they? And wish I had a brother for embroidery. Thank you/ Enjoyed the video.
I use both duckbill scissors and curved edge scissors which the later is my most recent choice Purchased thru Amazon. I’ve never heard of this appliqué so can’t help you there. Maybe reach out to JuJu for some help or there is also a FB group for JuJu if you use FB. Let me know how it goes.
