I absolutely love this snowman mug rug. I'm a beginner and I think by following your tutorial I will be able to make this!! Thank you for awesome tutorial.
Very nice mug rug! Do you have any advice regarding needle to use, presser foot height etc for some of the more dense ITH designs? I have a Janome mc14000, and find that I get a lot of clunk-clunk-clunk sounds and thread nesting once there are a lot of layers of fabric, particularly on the satin stitch step around appliqués, and when joining pieces in multi-hoop projects. As to sources for ITH designs I like Designs by JuJu, Kreative Kiwi, and Sweet Pea.
very nice job on this - I think the LONG video of showing everything is very great for a beginner-- fabulous work! I will be making one today! Have a blessed day!
This design inspired me to download it! And yes...I watch your videos because I also love your chit-chat and your company...helps me so much during my long nights....thank you so much for being there!
This has been the best at showing me how to do the appliqué. Just bought a embroidery machine and have been looking for a tutorial for a beginner. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for your clear and thorough instructions! I’m new to the machine embroidery world but I can tell that this is going to be a lot of fun! I will be watching for more of your videos for inspiration. Thanks again and God bless!
This is so cute, it makes me want to do some embroidery. My son informed me that the little girl my granddaughter plays with and bakes with, has no apron. So I got a blank and I need to emb. it tomorrow. Mug rugs are such a fun small project. I want to learn to do a lot of things in the hoop. Can I ask, what are you using to film with, your phone?
i just bought this from juju it's always good for me to see these things done. your video was great. i'm from pa also so i can relate to being cold and snowed in lol. i will be looking to see more from you'
New to embroidery machines. Just purchased a Baby Lock Flare and it is overwhelming....Loved your video on this mug rug....I feel like I can do this now....I've downloaded several mug rug designs..... Thank you!
Hi there, I'm new to this channel and really loved the mug mat design and how you did it. I just upgraded my embroidery machine, it's not even completely unboxed yet but I really enjoyed how you worked. I'm in England and it's getting colder now too but I've found something to keep me busy and warm. I will be tuning in again soon.
Hi Sue, I have just done a design by JuJu called constructosaus appliqué. Did a stitch out test on my Bernina790. I’m new to this also. Apart from the colour stitch out sheet, which I followed, there are no more instructions. I get a bit lost. ( and broke 3 needles)… I used a iron on poly mesh on the back of the pola fleece then hooped that with cutaway. I need to get some scissors like yours? What are they? And wish I had a brother for embroidery. Thank you/ Enjoyed the video.
I use both duckbill scissors and curved edge scissors which the later is my most recent choice Purchased thru Amazon. I’ve never heard of this appliqué so can’t help you there. Maybe reach out to JuJu for some help or there is also a FB group for JuJu if you use FB. Let me know how it goes.
Thank you for this lovely video, I haven’t bought a machine yet as I’m still trying to decide will I use the machine enough to justify buying one? So thank you, this design is amazing so much more to this than i realised.

I am new to this. What is a jelly roll?
Jelly rolls are made up of many 2 ½ inch wide x 44-45 inch long strips of quilting fabric. Also called Design Rolls, Island Strips Bali Pops and more!
Do you do anything with the open part on the back?
You could use fabric glue and shut it closed
Love this
Thank you
I love your vdeos.
I hope you are doing ok. Haven't seen you for a while, Sue.💟💟💟
Thank you. I’m ok. Taking one day at a time.
What thread do you use in your Brother embroidery machine.
I dont understand. ??
I assume they are asking what brand are you using? What weight of thread?
Where did you get the scissors ✂️
Amazon
I tie the new thread to the cut piece of the old thread and pull it through saves me time from re threading every time
I’ve seen others do that. I really don’t mind threading. I definitely use that for my surrger. Thx for watching.
do you still have your facebook page? I have done a search by copy and paste your name as shown above but I only get the stamping group. Thank you
Yes. Its Stitchin With Sue
I was confused how to do the mug rugs
Hope it helped
