Thousand thank you's........ I am late to the party, but I am grateful for your description how to use the BX fonts in Embrilliance. I've used Embrilliance for the past 6 years but had not paid much attention to the BX fonts or why I needed them, but today it all clicked and I successfully installed 5 DBJJ BX fonts ( 1/4") into Embrilliance in about 1 minute! This is a game changer! Thank you..... once again you are teaching an old dog new tricks! Appreciate you, as always.
Thank you for these videos. You helped me to find and inexpensive program that will let me do all I wanted to do without spending a fortune. And I made my first quilt tag for a quilt. Thanks again so much. Carol Yeater
this was a great tutorial,Im not tech savvy but you make it sound easy, you will love your retirement and wish there was an extra day to enjoy more new projects, thank you again,
Becky, I made this quilt block!with BX files! Thank u so much! (I had to rewind u quite a few times going thru it but that’s the beauty of RUclips!). I felt such an accomplishment! I’m a newbie but u r such a good teacher! THANK YOU!
What a great teacher you are....I am not a video watching person, but yours are so interesting and through, I actually enjoy watching you. I learn something new every time I watch... Thank you so much!
Thank you Becky. Just unboxed a Brother SE400 that was sitting in the closet for years. You've given me the encouragement to give embroidery a try especially now that there's a new brand grand-niece. Perfect timing for this BX font tutorial. Saved the day. Thanks a bunch.
I absolutely love the quilt you did with the bees! I love bees. I go Wednesday to have a heart cath done for the second time. I love the new heart surgeon in B.R. now. I don't have to go to New Orleans to see that specialist surgeon anymore. I have obstructive cardiomyopathy and it's caused the wall that devides the 2 chambers to become thick and hard. They will see with the heart cath if the can do an alcohol injection to destroy that part of my heart or if the have to open me up and remove the tissue that is beginning to block off my mitral valve and aortic valve. I asked the doctor if he could use tequila for the alcohol injection. 😂😂😂 He just laughed. I'll just be happy when something can be done because this is causing it to be harder for me to breathe. Cross you fingers and I don't mind prayers. Have a great week Becky. 💗😊💗
THANK YOU! IT WAS ME that asked how you download fonts! THANK YOU so much! I have learned so much from you already! I am so glad I found your channel! I have had my embroidery machine and my Embrilliance essentials collecting dust because I never learned either one and now between your RUclips Channel and JuJu Designs I am freakin excited to be doing some projects. 2 thumbs up!!!!! 👍👍
Mrs. Becky, you are a GENIUS! I was looking for a small font and how to make a lable and here you are all in ONE and excellent instructions. I Had no clue about BX Fonts. I have made my First Embroidered Quilt Lable. I won't be writing them any longer. Thank you Girl!
Hi Becky! Claudette turned out beautifully! I don't think anyone would ever notice those flaws. I'm a beginner quilter and now know the work that goes into these creations so I just admire the overall workmanship. Thanks for your tips!
Help......You’ve been so great at tutorials, would you be willing to do another? I’ve recently purchased the scan n cut machine and Simply appliqué and, I’ve now got the Brother Canvas workspace on my lap top so.....I bought a KimberBell mug rugs CD, thinking it would be an easy first project using all these things but I’m stuck. So far all I’ve done is gotten my scan n cut hooked up to my wireless......Thanks for all your video’s, enjoy them very much... as a matter of fact, I’m doing more than I thought I would, inspiring and so much fun 💟😊🧵
Becky, you are never boring, you are always funny and we all learn alot from you. Also that you for the mini class on SA it was a big help, I have bought it way back watching your videos and was always afraid to use it. Now I really ready for the warmest wishes. (I think). Have a great day.
This was really helpful. My desktop uses windows, but my laptop is a Mac. You are really excellent about explaining the details for the average user. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I have installed Embrillance Essentials and was having a hard time trying to figure out how to install my purchased fonts into the software. You are a lifesaver!!
Becky, thank you so so much for this video. I had no idea how to add my fonts to Embrilliance. I learned so much and I am so grateful. Thank you for everything you do. Iris
Thank you so much for the wonderful videos have been learning a lot and laughing. Awhile ago you showed the block of the month for the sew by row by Lori Holt, I loved so much I bought the book and all the fabrics and finished the top today and it came out beautiful. Now I need to square it was looking for a good video and haven't found one. Was wondering if you have any tips and tricks for doing that. Thank you for your service.
Oh Becky, every time you learn something on the quilt butler could you do a video on it please not all of us have a quilt buddy who has the butler.....please please please!! Thank you Dee🙄
Thank you so much for such an easy to follow explanation for making quilt labels. I just purchased the Brother Innovis NQ1600e. I now feel ready to tackle this!!!
I’m going to bite the bullet and go to Allbrands in Baton Rouge and buy me the Scan N Cut DX225 on Wednesday. I want to try to do appliqué quilts but don’t want to cut out a trillion pieces by hand. Plus I think my granddaughter will get a kick out of it for crafting.
Becky, I'm trying to learn how to use my Brother PE800. I've read through the manual and watched several YT videos that people have shared on this model. And I've stitched out a couple of designs. I'd really like to make embroidered labels for my quilts so I'm glad that I found this older video of yours. I'm subscribed already to your channel so I've seen you talk about Embrilliance and Scan & Cut but didn't understand because it didn't relate at the time lol. Now I'm seeking knowledge, and with this video and another one I just watched where you shared DBJJ customizable quilt labels, I think I'm starting to get it. My PE800 came with a free download for BES Blue Software, which I think is the same as BES4 but I'm not sure. I'm not finding much information on Brother's website about the software--either I can't find it or else they don't have good tutorial information out there. Ok so finally my question: if I purchase the quarter inch fonts with the BX font will I be able to use them with my BES Blue Software?
ty for all you do and love watching and making your projects. I will be ordering the fonts and free express software. ty for sharing. love the new quilt pattern also.
Becky, I don’t know if this has already been mentioned, but to download BX into Embrilliance, you don’t need to click and drag. You also don’t need to have Embrilliance open. All you need to do it double click on the BX file font/size, and it will automatically add it into Embrilliance. It will open up Embrilliance with the first double click, and then you need to click on the OK radio button so it will allow you to continue to add others. I hope that helps/makes sense?
Thanks! I hadn't seen that method so I tried it and it worked great! I didn't realize that double clicking the font after download would launch the app. Anything to save a few clicks :-) I learn so much from all of you. lol Love it.
That was a great tutorial to simplify making a quilt label! I usually include the quilt pattern name as my quirk!! Fighting with fonts prior to this was enough to drive me nuts! You rock, Becky!!!! Thank you! 🙏
Oh my. I created quilt labels yesterday with my Embrilliance software. You are so terrific. I will have to go get some of those fonts. Thank you for all your recommendations. Your quilt turned out great.
Thank you for this video you are so good at explaining! Would I be able to add another embroidery design, for example a sewing machine, into the design label and save in my machines format? You mention that you can’t merge designs, is this after you saved it?
This is so helpful. Question: You can save the entire "typed label" on the USB drive and load it into the machine? We don't need to save it line by line and then print separately? I have a PE700 that I'm enjoying and to be able to make quilt labels is a definite plus!! Thanks.
I’ll tell you Becky, what a difference Embrilliance has made in my fonts. I was using the Viking SW what a mess it is to bring in fonts. And the stitch outs from Viking were horrible. No comparison to Embrilliance!
The video on the label making will be a life saver for me....I'm going to go try this. I have a Solaris and Palette 11 and I tried making a label and could not do it...there are no instructions in the 2" thick book to make a label....I did do it on the sewing machine itself but really wanted to try it in a software. I'll let you know how I make out! Many thanks!!
Thank you for the info about 1/4" being available and how to download. I have been having a terrible time lately. Question though.....Why did you make your label with separate objects? I usually hit enter for the next row for my placement of words using the text button. It become one design but still editable if adjustments are needed. Just curious about your decision to make them separate.
I have both. Embrilliance will not import the .fcm file created by the cutting machine and create an applique embroidery file for that. For applique quilters, having both and letting them compliment each other is the best of both worlds in my book. :)
Becky, I love your videos and appreciate when you can do a hands on tutorial on Embrilliance. Thank you for the heads up about the sale on Embrilliance Essentials. I was considering getting it and that got me to go ahead and purchase it now. Question, what add ons to the software do you suggest, just the basics please. I think thumnailer is a must. Does it come preloaded with font capabilities?
Thumbnailer is just a utility that allows you to see images on the screen of what the design is. Yes it is a must, but it does nothing else. It does not interact with the Embrilliance embroidery software in any other way. Since you're in the market, I recommend you start with Essentials and choose Enthusiast as an add on. Enthusiast has a precise positioning system that I use all the time. It can work without Essentials, but then you wouldn't be able to merge designs like you can in Essentials. So start with Essentials and then go from there. :-)
My family laughs at my quilt labels. "Quilt Name" Made with love for Granddaughter for her 9th birthday Made in Atlanta, GA by My Name Finished on June 21, 2020 May you Grow in Knowledge and love. I will include designer or other info if I think it is important.
Does this work with Embird software? Did I understand that you can’t bring in, say for instance, a birth announcement, and fill in the information? I hate bringing in one letter at a time. I enjoy and learn all sorts of tricks from your videos. I shop Juju all the time.
Becky, tourney super hero gal. I'm in NS. I have a Husqvarna Viking designer 1USB. BOUGHT NEW when I was still working cant use the embroidery as my software will not load on the win 10 but I still have a good sewing machine. I'm thinking about buying a baby lock flourish 2. Only does embroidery. What do you think? I wish I could wake up and find your sewing room and your brain. Youra very smart lady I have just started sewing quilts again. My husband died over a year ago. Keep up the great work.
If you want to invest in a new machine because you want bigger hoops or a newer "power tool" then do so. But I don't recommend investing in a new machine because your old software won't work on a new computer. You might give Embrilliance Essentials a try. It's less than $200 and works for all embroidery machines without a dongle. You can be up and running in just a few minutes after downloading the software. Embrilliance is a third party embroidery software that works for all brands of machines and saves to all embroidery file types. The company is very good about keeping their software current with the computers of the day so it never gets old.
hi there , I like when you teach something , just one thing , sometimes I have to guess what you are talking about , can you tell me what is a quilt label ? thanks have a nice day
A quilt label is a scrap of fabric that you attach to the back of your quilt. It might say who the quilt is for, who made it, the pattern, and the date.
I have embrilliance essentials and stitch artist (1). Why would you use simple appliqué instead? Trying to decide if getting simple appliqué is worth the purchase.
I have Stitch Artist 1 as well and was just reading over the Embrilliance platform manual. I see where Stitch Artist can save to an .fcm file to export to cutting machines to cut fabric for a pre-digitized applique embroidery file. However, I don't see where you can reverse the process to import an .fcm file into Embrilliance to make it become an applique which is what you need to create an applique from a paper pattern. If I'm missing something and you figure it out, let me know! :-)
Timely lol. Thanks for this. Did you use 50 wt thread? I needed this help. I have artistic digitizer already. Trying to figure out if i need more software or just use express for the fonts for designs by juju
I used a basic embroidery thread from Brother. Nothing fancy but usually a thinner thread will make the smaller letters look better. Artistic Digitizer uses Open Type fonts and True Type fonts natively and it says any other type font but I don't know about BX fonts. I know in some software there's a way for you to assign a keyboard key to each letter to then type out a phrase but I'm not sure about AD.
Power Tools with Thread I didn’t know about keyboard thing. Still fairly new to ad Appreciate your knowledge and thank you and hubby for service. Can’t remember if I ever told you!
Yes. Embrilliance is what's called a "Third Party Software". That means it is not proprietary to any brand of machine. It will work for both Mac and Windows, and it will save to any embroidery file format for all machine types, including Pfaff. Give the freebie Embrilliance Express a try. Create a label and save to your Pfaff's .pcs file format to see. Good luck!
Hey Becky, Do you think Embrilliance is easier than BES4? I have BES4 but I don't find it to be user friendly. I noticed your SUBSCRIBE FLAG in the background, yeah it's a tad bigger than Vivmom's pillow!! You're funny!!!
I don't have BES4, but since Simply Applique is a module of BES4, I have an inkling of how it behaves. So yes, I do find Embrilliance easier to use. I've had things in Simply Applique go weird on me when I wasn't looking. Having all the properties on one side of the screen in Embrilliance also helps so I only have to check in one spot which is easier for my brain to manage vs. looking back and forth to make sure everything is in the right place. I hope that makes sense. If you have any BX fonts (they don't have to be from JuJu) give the express a try and see if you don't find it easier.
Bee quilt is sooooo stinkin' cute! Love it! If you are going to donate it -- DONATE IT TO A VIEWER WHO WILL LOVE IT (hint hint) !! Love Embrilliance - been using for about 7 years now and always learn new things it can do! Thanks for another great tutorial
Oh she's much better! Thank you. She's bringing her baby out for a squeak and a tug which she hasn't done in months and she's seeming more like her old self. Still on reduced pain meds, but she gets her stitches out on Thursday 6/25 and then will begin water swim therapy in the pool. We brought her life jacket back from the coast last weekend. It has a handle on top so we can take her around the pool while she works that knee. Thank you so much for asking. We're so relieved!
as usual you sure hit the nail on the head.....thank you noe more time.

Nice job on Claudette

Thanks for sharing that labels were great
OMG, the bee quilt is adorable and the quilted line bees, love it!
Another great video I love all your blah blah blahs🍻😹
Love Claudette. The embroidery designs are super cool. All quilters need a friend to talk through those uhhh issues. Lol!
Mrs. Becky, you are a GENIUS! I was looking for a small font and how to make a lable and here you are all in ONE and excellent instructions. I Had no clue about BX Fonts. I have made my First Embroidered Quilt Lable. I won't be writing them any longer. Thank you Girl!
You are so welcome!
I admire techies. I do good to sew a straight line and I have been quilting for close to 20 years. I try!
Hi Becky! Claudette turned out beautifully! I don't think anyone would ever notice those flaws. I'm a beginner quilter and now know the work that goes into these creations so I just admire the overall workmanship. Thanks for your tips!

So glad you pulled it out and played with it. Making that flower once or twice will have you working Warmest Wishes like a pro! :)
Try using a yellow sharpie to hide the bobbin thread that has come to the front.
Brilliant! lol Now why didn't I think of that?
Thank you so much for talking about BX fonts, Embrilliance Express, Designs by JUJU, I have now made my first quilt label !!!
YAY!! That's awesome! Happy for you! :-)
Becky, you are so right about the quarter inch fonts from DBJJ. I just got 6 sets for $12.00 and they stitch out perfectly!! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
What a cute Claudette quilt Becky! The bee quilting is perfect along with the bee embroidery and fabrics!
Becky, thank you so so much for this video. I had no idea how to add my fonts to Embrilliance. I learned so much and I am so grateful.
Thank you for everything you do. Iris

I love the fonts that Designs By Juju sells. They stitch out super nice.

Thank you so much for such an easy to follow explanation for making quilt labels. I just purchased the Brother Innovis NQ1600e. I now feel ready to tackle this!!!
Beautiful
Becky, absolutely love your videos. I always learn so much. The way you explain step by step makes it so helpful.
You are so welcome!
I love your positivity--you are just what I needed!😘
Oh thank you!
So helpful!!!!
Becky, thanks so much for explaining what a bx font is. I’d looked it up before but couldn’t quite grasp the meaning. Great job!

Becky,
I love your videos and appreciate when you can do a hands on tutorial on Embrilliance.

My Janome 15000 has a built in font that is a 1/4” that is great for quilt labels
Which one? I have the 15000 but there is no explanation on sizes
Great Info, thanks:)

Working on Mac laptop. Got to downloads on my pc but didn’t have option to cut?
I LOVE the bee quilt!!! Will you sell it to me? LOL!!!
will Embrillance Express cause problems with my Husqvarna software?
No. It will not interact with your existing software at all. They run independently of each other.
What size needle do I use for 1/4" bx fonts?
I've used a regular Ogran 75/11 with no trouble.
Be well
will this work with a Mac and a Pfaff, it is what I have and I know neither company wants to share their equipment with any other company?
@@PowerToolsWithThread thx. Yes I do have designs by JuJu & I was real pleased when you informed us about express! Thx ✌🏾
What is the name of the font
I forgot to ask you ,How is harley doing?
Oh she's much better! Thank you. She's bringing her baby out for a squeak and a tug which she hasn't done in months and she's seeming more like her old self. Still on reduced pain meds, but she gets her stitches out on Thursday 6/25 and then will begin water swim therapy in the pool. We brought her life jacket back from the coast last weekend. It has a handle on top so we can take her around the pool while she works that knee. Thank you so much for asking. We're so relieved!
