A have a lil theory what if the leader of NSR use to a be a musician of rock and was leading till many left or stop caring for rock so she or she was not accepted when she played so she hates rock or something, this prolly ain’t anything too me just the the way the convo played and mayday telling her that she never played a guitar ticked her off (that’s all I can go off of)

Maybe they're throwing a red herring and the leader of NSR is someone completely different, but it feels like the case right now. I wonder if they're going to do something around the NSR being reformed to have individual genres rather than just tear it down completely.
Ok 3 things: 1. Everyone in this game has such big hands lol 2. If they wanted to make non likable villains, then they did a FANTASTIC job! (I mean that in a good way like villains you WANT to take down) 3. The part after the tutorial was like a movie! It was so cool!

Punk rock is not my preferred genre but it has some nice songs. I prefer traditional folk music such as celtic and Japanese mixed with techno. A flute player would be nice and it looks like the city could use some greenery.
It's too bad the first boss didn't make it into the first 20 minutes. If the writing and music aren't enough to grab you for this game, then the sheer spectacle and mechanics of the bosses probably would.
Yeah, the EDM characters are still cool as hell. They're the antagonists, but they're not portrayed as ugly or spiteful. It seems more like a simple choice to drive the narrative, rather than a statement on the music industry as a whole.

I've gotta say, the only thing this game really has going for it are the character designs. The actual characters themselves are pretty generic and uninteresting. The plot was obvious from the onset. And you can tell when the ending is going to be by the time the intro's done (unless they incorporate some twist). The gameplay itself is supposedly rhythm based, but it doesn't really feel like it especially for what's supposed to be EDM powered enemies. I get it's an introductory level, but it feels so... bland. Learn to run. Learn to jump. Enemies attacks are supposed to sync with the beat but the only one type is shown doing so and they all have visual cues. Your own attacks aren't beat based at all. What would be good is if even for an introductory level, if you time your attacks to the beat, you can deal more impressive damage.

That's suppose to be the true introductory level and it happens right after this video ends (not sure why it wasn't included in this video since it happens so soon). Read in an interview that he's meant to be the tutorial boss.
The art direction of the game is fantastic when it comes to the character designs and music, but yeah, it does fall short in some of the writing and gameplay. Though there are still some really good highlights, and it's clear a lot of passion and love was poured into this game.
Im calling it now: Tatiana is secretly part of Kul Fyra and forgot her roots. On a side note Tatiana's voice actress has a damn smooth voice.

If you want a real action platformer based rhythm game, I recommend Hi Fi Rush.
