Even if she was a villain that one phrase is something that literally everyone needs to be able to say to a toxic person in their life

She is a rational minded villain. Even her speech sometimes make sense
I mean, shes right just because you're a fan or something doesn't mean she owes you her time
Believe or not, I like Tatiana, In the proper eyes she could be a villain or a hero, but she is just doing what she thinks is the best even having the ability to question how wrong she was, Well isn't that how debates should work?
People will say what is right or wrong based in their views, and the end of any debate should work to be a better person as a whole.

She's an antagonist more than a villain. She just REALLY needed to get over her own past failures which, you know, started the plot.

It’s been said before, but all the bosses represent the bad side of the performers of the genre.
DJ Subatomic Supernova is a DJ with an Inflated ego.
Sayu is basically a Vocaloid controlled by teens who are having their talents exploited by bigger companies.
Yinu is a child prodigy with lots of pressure on her (in the last phase of her battle she starts saying that she hates everyone).
And so on. Kliff represents the bad side of the fans. An entitled fan that believes that just because he supports an artist, he deserves their time and attention.
A simp but for performers, if you will.
Err what about Eve and Neon J?
@@Renkencen Can’t really say anything about Neon but 1010 is a parody of boybands/kpop. Not having a single thought to themselves, superficial ‘hot’ looks when the only difference is their hairstyle and color, and everything has to be in sync. The fact that they are literally mass produced robots also adds to the fact.
It’s hard to pin down exactly what Eve could be an allegory of in regards to music. But a depressed person acting out in an eccentric manner can be common in entertainment.
@@ksbabi If I had to take a swing at it, I'd guess Eve represents the ironic amounts of loneliness and isolation that can come with fame.
@@Renkencen To me 1010 represents the manufactured nature of boy bands, they mostrly consist of young handsome men that sell looks more than their music. Eve on the other hand represents the extreme ego of divas that think their music is above everyone understanding. They fail to see that music and art aren't meant to have a single interpretation.

I'm glad they addressed the fact May and Zuke were actually the worst kind of artists, dead set on destroying the hard work of others so they could get to the top and realized at the end they were just being massive assholes the entire time and tried to correct themselves.
They werent doing it for anything though, NSR exclusivley used energy that powered the city for the leaders in there own districts and after the audition they completley banned rock, while dening them the reward of the auditions even though they beat the compition. They decided to act as soon as NSR was planning its own agenda and had prejudice towards rock.
@@nightknight2 I'm aware, but their view of fairness quickly got skewed, mostly because of Kliff I suppose. Either way, their views of fairness and equality turned into supremacy and revenge. If Tatiana hadn't said what she said, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they turned around and banned EDM if they gained power. Their hearts were probably in the right place, but becoming the enemy really doesn't change anything. Which is why I said I'm glad they addressed this issue.

Would they though or would both totally agree with each other. The reason this game was so appealing is how it sets up the two hero’s. For the majority of this game Zuke seems to get most of the character development and at times spotlight. While Maydqy by her very nature is up front and central goes down a darker road. Would have been cool to give options on how to handle the ending in that maybe they would have to go against each other or stay the course and get the Shaka ending:

I seriously like the fact that Mayday's character isn't written like other protagonists. Sure, she had a goal, and did whatever she could to achieve it, and reacted how one would expect to realizing she was wrong...
But when offered the chance to join the new NSR, she turned down the offer, and didn't make up any pleading guilt-trip story for B2J's fans. She just took the guilt, and rolled along, not trying to atone for them more than she already, helping to save the Tower, and hy extent, the city.
She's more human than any other protagonist I've seen.
I think they represent the kinds of people who want change in the music industry for the better, although their views got contorted along the way. She just wanted things to get better, not to be known as a hero for it or gain a ridiculous amount of fame in the end. I really like that since it makes her feel much more grounded and easier to relate too, and so it's incredibly easy to wind up adoring her character haha.
Wow Tatiana is the most calmest relax villain I’ve seen yet. She accepted it was both her and her company’s fault for putting the city into jeopardy therefore she was willing to help at all cost to save everyone without getting mad about it. I absolutely love the calmness she carry with her.
Yeah. Maybe she is a bit cruel and strict with her ways but she actually a good and rational leader

@@ghazie5555 she was a villain in the aspect that she was in opposition to the heroes, but she s never evil. Ultimately she wanted what she thought was best for everyone but lost sight of her purpose and needed someone to remind her what it's all for.
Mayday and Zuke were definitley not totally good guys either, they all acknowledged that there was blame to share and that their shortsightedness brought this on everyone.

In the end, the true villain wasn't the corporation or the people who work in it, it was the ideals that they currently hold when they abandon the old ones. They just needed someone to help realize it by reminding them what they originally wanted to do and why they did it in the first place
Eh? Tatiana still stays an EDM producer in the ending, it's why she gives Mayday her guitar. Her time as a rock musician is over and she is invested in a different genre now, but that doesnt mean rock is bad, nor that she should bury it, and that it's time to give new blood new chances.
Yeah, I didn’t trust Kliff. While he offered helpful info, he gave off serious stalker vibes (helps that he got May’s phone number from God knows where and already knew where BBJ lived), and he seemed just a little too on board with taking down NSR, despite his laid back demeanor. It was creepy.

Why can't we live in a world like this? Everyone loving their own music genres, no one shit on anyone's tastes.
As someone who's had to live with banda and reggaeton blaring on the stereos, to the point of losing most of my hearing in the left ear, I can tell you exactly why we don't live in that world.
Those genres have me rotten, and if I tolerate them is because I love my family enough to just hide away in my room.

I like how, in the end, neither side is truly correct in this game.
Bunk Bed Junction tried to bring down EDM, which would've destroyed several other artist's works to get what they want, but they did it because they wanted to stop the blackouts as well.
NSR, Tatiana specifically, banned rock from the Lights Up Auditions because it wasn't as prominent in Vinyl City... The leaders of NSR tried to defend their parts because EDM was their livelihoods, for most at least.
We have several moments where we see the actions of both sides, and how that affected the other one. A good example is when BBJ broke Yinu's piano, which was from her father. We see how destroyed she was, and felt bad for her... We technically helped cause this to happen.
In the end, neither side was truly the right side. It's only when Kliff threatens the tower that Mayday sees that she's becoming the very thing she set out to destroy, and helps save it. And NSR realize their wrongdoings, and allow all other forms of music back into Vinyl City.
No Straight Roads may be buggy, but it's story really gets you to realize that nobody is fully right or wrong. The title truly exemplifies that. There are no straight roads in life, but we can always forge our own path... and sometimes, to forge that path... You need to backtrack, like how Mayday and Zuke returned the leaders of NSR to their districts, when they first wanted them gone.
True, though trusting a company that showed corruption is not a smart idea. Things might have turned out fine but they can be easily be overturned. Cartoonisly impending doom aside when you take down the king and you are about to replace him but you are scared you will turn the same as him and you give the crown back to him is cowardly and rather selfish, dogding responsibility is not a virtue.
Random thing I noticed and appreciate: at about 20:25 Neon J reaches out to Mayday when she starts to walk away. I just think it’s kinda cute.

@@johanandersson6268 i'm only know a little. What i know is that edm is a music genre that use electronic based instrument or use of software or electronic device like computer to create music. Edm has many subgenre like dubstep, synthwave, terrorcore, trap, house, etc that differ based their own category. Sorry i dont know much.
If this game stays underrated for too long, I'm gonna break down.
I'm kind of hoping that both May and Zuke together would be new DLCs in Smash Bros Ultimate. They would be pretty interesting duo type characters to play as if they got in.
As much I dont want to admit, I guess Kliff was something of a bad guy, he embodies the bad aspects of a true fan, feeling that their loyalty and support should be felt by their stars, only to feel betrayed and brokenhearted when they change or give up their original style. Kliff thought that making Rock have total control of Vinyl City would be better than Tatiana controlling with EDM, but he was wrong as well. No one music should stand precedence and priority above all other genres, but rather all music should be heard, regardless of people's tastes and favorites, to be supported and appreciated, even by those who dont like it. Also crashing the satellite into the tower and significantly damaging the city was definitely too far

Even though this must be one of the best final bosses of 2020, I felt really disappointed that we didn’t manage to battle Kliff directly.
Tbh, I seriously wanted to trash his face with any guitar at hand in, but Tatiana already uppercutted him, so he had some pain.
Kliff got blown away when tatiana did her thing.
I was hoping he would use tatiana's old guitar in a rock Vs rock battle.

- 1010 is a low attempt at making an imitation k-pop group, also, they have the dumb-sounding voice tone with the over-exaggerated auto-tune effect that makes it clear they can't actually sing and are just trying to make it seem like it's an stylistic choice
- Instead of amal it's a vandalized, clearly stolen Dr simi disguise, he causes feelings of aggression, as per usual
- DJSS is actually really trying to reinvent the genre, but still nobody listens to him because tercermundismo
- eve is some basic girl who just has the looks
- kliff is very fat, also, it's accentuated he isn't actually called kliff, but they keep calling him that because they just can't find out what his real name is
- west is pretty unchanged, just that by comparison his style is much cleaner, so he stays away because tercermundismo.
From what little I've seen of No Straight Roads, it kinda looks like it could be a Studio Trigger anime lol.

A lot of people saw the twist of Tatiana being Kul Fyra before they even breached the tower.
Also, I am disappoint there's no lyrical version of the title music.

It was pretty obvious, I guessed it when Kul Fyra was first mentioned.

The RIGHTS of doing what he wants, basically the creative liberties... they can make wonders, (obviusly if they know what they doing), but the industry have capitalized, EVERYTHING, even the ''Art'', we don't need anyone to tell us what we need to sing, draw, write, play... what we need to feel, and the real artist out there try their best, studying the ways to make anothers, and trying so hard to get an opportunity, and the ''Liberty'' itself its an ''Unevitable Phenomenon'', and only a few can beat themselfs up about it and... to make a stand in the world of Art, there are those big issues... Creativity and try hard every time.

Something to notice: EVERY SINGLE ARTIST on NSR has their own Showstopper stance. Be it a coreography(Sayu/Eve), a "1-2-hook punch" sequence(Neon J/DJSS), or simply doing an "inspired" move at the piano(Yinu). This could be used as a "shoo" move in case someone lost to them... If not because they LEARNED this move from B2J.

The tower being a giant metronome , and the other buildings slithering up it to transform is a bit wierd , but I'll let them have this final victory !
I found that a bit random too but rather the part with the buildings and the hand (even if it was funny that it made the rock sign) then the metronome. At first I found that as weird too but the more I think about it the more it honestly makes sense
Well, if you recall, the objects that Mayday and Zuke can transform with their music also have little metronomes attached to them that sway back and forth. The NSR tower was just a giant version of those smaller transforming metronomes, with the city itself being the thing that was transformed.
InkBleederWolf Plus it’s also an entire city that is literally fueled by music on top of having various bizarre entities serving as the artists. Questioning this game is like trying to question Dragon Ball. You may answer one question, but you’ll raise a lot of others

Okay but think about this, what if Kliff was just a Kul Fyra stalker in the past... Then when she slighted him, it'd make sense that when that happened he went awol and decided to smash the tower... Also, the fact that he was able to get Mayday's phone number, easily know all of the necessary information about the other artists and easily be able to hack and cause the satellite to plummet back into Vinyl City shows some extremely concerning behavior. Yeah she's happy playing the piano. It was just her mother who lost sight of the reason her daughter enjoyed playing the piano.
I want to think it as the piano fixed itself when the district was claimed back by Yinu, since when the artists' district were taken by B2J , their own record disks changed to rock. So reclaiming their district means that their music lived again. Also she literally thanked them for fixing it if you missed on that
It was her father who taught her piano, that's why she's so attached to it. It's her connection to him.

Yeah. I personally think that the final showstopper could use some more work. I especially don’t like how Mayday and Zuke were just standing with their idle animation. I would prefer a truly epic showstopper sequence with Mayday powering up her guitar, DJSS spinning his records, Sayu summoning her trident, Yinu sliding her fingers across her piano keys, Neon J’s screen flashing “READY!”, Eve striking her “diva’s realm” pose, and Zuke clashing his drumsticks. I would love to get in touch with the creators and ask them to make it a DLC, but I don’t know how to contact Wan Hazmir.
Anyone found it funny how it took a fallen satelite for the two to finally respect each others? I mean they were both conflicted by their world views beforehand!

Ngl I do not care for this ending but I like how the showstopper showed all the bosses together with Mayday and Zuke (tho it's kinda funny how small Yinu looks whereas all the other bosses are huge by comparison even her piano looks small).

If there was an NSR 2, which I strongly think there will be a good chance of that happening because of the mysterious 7th NSR-tist, I have a list of genres the new bosses could be:

• SOFT rock(probably not…)

• opera?
Don’t forget orchestra as well.

That ending song is such a banger
This ending is pretty interesting, at least from my own perspective.
I've always wanted to be an artist, really any kind. Musician, painter, game designer, writer, etc. I have studied those fields and in one way or another I have always seemed to come up short. I have ADD so it's difficult to write for any extended amount of time, I am uncordinated so it's difficult to play an instrument, etc. The way Tatiana described being an artist as a priviledge was very bittersweet, I know the writer didn't intend to portray art as elitist or impossible to attain, and was merely describing how great art is. But I couldn't help but feel kinda bad after hearing it.
In addition, I find it really interesting from the perspective of someone who is not a fan of corporations in general. I feel like I share a similar belief to Zuke and Mayday in that while I believe the fundamental things that allow a corporation or monopoly to exist are bad, I do not think Tatiana herself has done wrong. (In the end, anyway.) Which made the ending feel conflicting in a sorta different way.
When I looked at the credits I honestly felt kind of bad, the writers, the designers, the musical artists, even the ceo. I felt a kind of jealousy. This game inspires me but in a way has also forced me to observe my own shortcomings. I really hope someday I could be an artist or someone with their own enterprise (which is unlikely, I'm pretty poor). But for now I wanna appreciate this game for what it is, a really great colloboration of artists that explores things from the perspectives of so many different groups, the business executives, the various artists and their various reasons for creating art, those I can relate to, those I can't.
P.S. As someone with a very varied musical taste, I loved that aspect of the ending.

Already questioned my morality when they made me destroy a little girl's late father's piano
A detail I seem to not find anyone mentioning is the meter at the top slowly going from full on rock into majority EDM, although the flames signifying your dominance in battle stay. It seems to represent how EDM is having it's major grip of Vinyl City given back to it, although rock is what's giving it back. I actually planned to make a video about this masterpiece of a game, but scrapped it whenever all the points were obvious to people.

When I first saw the ending, I was like, “awe, poor Kliff, he doesn’t know🥺.” And the next moment I was like, “ wait what? Kliff wtf!”

NSR needs a new DLC like another genre of music. heavy metal, country etc.
I feel like there was a lot of missed opportunities with the ending of this story and that it all just seem to miraculously workout a bit odd they had a lot of potential and could have made in a characters depth a little bit more pronounce for example in that big last fight she should have whipped out her guitar and then suddenly done the reveal mid combat when you don't have time but think and then suddenly she gets a huge power spike it would have been so much more impactful is well is the fact that she had the moral high ground for the most part and could have spent way longer talking to the main characters trying to convince from rather than just turn to violence when that started to look like it wasn't gonna work she had more than enough proverbial ammunition to use as to why what they were doing wrong I feel like she could have at least convince them a little bit harder rather than just beat them into the ground as she assumed she would be able to the fact that when asked if the main character's even know how to run a city they didn't really have a decent comeback that alone was enough of a conversation Point you want to take over a city by force and you don't know the first thing about running it even if what she was doing this horrible she can easily say with it being 100% through the chances are significantly higher that they're going to screw up even worse than she did indirectly causing the deaths of people because of it sorry voice-to-text thanks for reading
@@lusterlessnova3199 yes I have but I use voice-to-text cos I can't cannot spell to save my life rather than spend a good 15 minutes trying to individually figure out the spelling it on the words that I'm saying as I'm dyslexic and it's difficult so I just spend 2 minutes saying it to a robot and try and fix some of the more incomprehensible stuff or other times I just don't see it being tired or something not spending at the extra effort to make sure people know what I said I will spend some time and fix some of them or at least some of the more obnoxious ones
