Professor Heavy Wolf: welp that was pathetic from me *then brawl happens* Wolf: now how do you feel after getting rekt in 13 seconds, fox? *Then smash ultimate happens* Wolf: guess who is back, boi Fox: just what i need to see,Star Wolf
*Professor Heavy* Now that I think about it- it looks like Andrew was originally based on the *tarsier* in "Starfox 2" before Nintendo redesigned him into a baboon in "Starfox 64". 🤔
+Idazmi7 The lore is Andross is an ex scientist who wants to take over the lylat system then pepper banishes him to venom. The star fox team by then who were James, Peppy and Pigma (He is so evil) went to investigate but Pigma betrayed the star fox team and so James McCloud died. Peppy escaped barely and told Fox about his father's fate. Then fox made a team of four with Falco, Slippy who was Fox's friend from graduation according to smash 4 trophies,Peppy and made himself the leader. Then they started an epic journey. But I wonder why Pigma wasn't in the first game.
+Idazmi7 Not wanting to get into an argument, but you're kinda violating Hanlon's Razor. Never assume malice when stupidity is just as valid of an explanation.
I like how Wolf looks like a warrior, Pigma looks like a toon, Leon looks stoned, and Andrew looks like just a species of monkey, boy 64 really changed star wolf the most.
This was really amazing for the SNES and sad that it was canceled, but I am glad they actually gave Star Wolf more personality for their worldwide debut in Star Fox 64. Here, Leon and "Algy" are basically interchangeable, Pigma sounds like a punk, and Wolf sounds more like an angry old man chasing kids off his lawn. This theme is pretty rad though, just as cool as the one from 64. I would have thrown it in as fanservice for Star Fox Zero's secret path Star Wolf battles (while leaving the 64 version for the normal in-level ones, like in Sector Beta). Oh well.
The reason why the game was Canned because it was about to be released on the N64 Timeline, And they were more focused on Star Fox 64, thus it was canceled.
>Wolf sounds more like an angry old man chasing kids off his lawn He was obviously designed to be much older than Fox, at least for Star Fox 2. Hence his dialogue here.
One of the best Game tracks of all time. It's so disappointing that there are so many video game musicians on RUclips and yet a good portion of them have never even attempted to create their own instrumental version of this.
It's really a shame we never got any mixes of this Star Wolf theme. I loved Star Fox 64's theme and Star Fox's Assault remix of the theme, but I really wish they'd have made a more modern version of this theme. But honestly, it was probably best they didn't ever officially release this version of Star Fox. I think the version of them we got in Star Fox 64 was done a lot better. I don't think they would have been nearly as iconic as they were if they were actually released like this.
To all of you confused about Algy and Andrew, Andrew was actually design for Star Fox 2 but was never used. They recycled him for Star Fox 64. Algy on the other hand was never used in any other again like Miyu and Fay.
"Andrew" here is actually Algy. He was replaced with the actual Andrew in later games. Meanwhile, Algy's design kinda got recycled into Dash Bowman in Command.
If you see it this way, the ships of all the other members of Star Wolf exploded, but Wolf's didn't. ...does that mean that, in this continuity, they're dead for good?
Either that or they managed to eject before their ships exploded. Keep in mind that the other Star Wolf fights take place in orbit around planets while the Wolf fight always takes place in deep space.
Really impressive they could force this out of the SNES. Yeah there was more hardware in the cart than earlier games on the system but it's still impressive they pushed it that far.
Okay, if "Algy" is a separate character, then why is he named Andrew here? I'm more intrigued that this "Algy" was just a beta design for Andrew in terms of the character's appearance.
Well, like I said, Algy was his actual name. I'm guessing he was supposed to be like Andrew (number four, basically), only not quite as... well, Andrew.
Scott Ramage Well, again, I prefer Andrew. Seems more right to me. Given that this game was unreleased and thus non-canon, nothing really is confirmed.
Get Ready Star Wolf Andrew:I Got a Present for ya! Pigma:Ah! So this is Star Fox! Leon:Don't Party just yet! Wolf:Ha Ha! Your not as stupid at your lot!
This Star Fox 2 is technically completed but still as final beta due to some bugs and still unedited ending credit and some missing element, only Dylan Cuthberg have the real Star Fox 2 version but untranslated.
Leon in the older one looks like he’s been on the devils cabbage for far too long and is going through some insane withdrawal symptoms, Andrew isn’t even andrew, pigma i guess doesn’t use war paint yet, and wolf is the closest to himself.
Go play it on an emulator. :D The game was pretty much finished but they canceled its release due to the 64 being so close to release and thus ended up waiting and re-released 'star fox 64' with elements of star-fox 2 incorporated into it...
Wolf:"can't let you do that Star Fox" Leon"Andross has ordered us to take you down" Pigma:Peppy long time no see" Andrew/Algy:"Andross' enemy is my enemy"
Would you mind if I used this in a Star Wolf battle compilation video? I will give you full credit for the battle and link the audience to your channel.
i was talkin in terms of gameplay, not story, they can at least make a brand new story and miyu and fay be newcomers in the team in the course of the story
Hey I didn't know it was possible to fly the game in third person view when you are in space. Anyway, I rather enjoy this game and I find it a shame it never got released. I hope the person who own the one fully finished ROM will one day upload it so that we can experience what it would have been like.
Fox McCloud Thanks but after seeing this video I decided to try that out myself and realized that it was possible to change camera views during space battles. Heh I thought you could only use 'select' during the planetary missions to switch between ship and walker mode. But thanks again.
Because Star Fox 2 was when Star Wolf was going to be introduced, but this game was gonna come out too late in the SNES' life and it was scrapped. Sucks, too, since they scrapped it _days_ before release.
There's a leaked ROM with a fan translation, and the game was also released on the SNES Classic as an unlockable if you beat Corneria on any route in Star Fox 1.
This game was cancelled in 1996, during the release of Nintendo 64, But, when Super Nintendo Classic Edition was released, they finally released Star Fox 2.
Panther made its first introduction in Starfox Assault on the Nintendo Gamecube as their new crew member of Star Wolf. He replaced Pigma after the latter has been fired from the team during the events Post-Starfox 64 & Starfox Adventure.
The one-on-one fights? Absolutely, but they also do the more familiar all-at-once fights. I like the one-on-ones more because A) you have to work to find them and B) they have special moves they use against you. Lightning Tornando and Plasma Shield are a bear to get around.
I don’t know whats better
Andrew’s weird SNES look, or the fact that Wolf is too badass to properly introduce himself
@kingtony68 He introduces himself as andrew though
TheTreeis OnFire This is the fan translation before Nintendo decided to release the game.
Wolf does introduce himself on the map before you fight him, I think
He is there for the business, that's all.
Andrew got a *_massive_* facelift in the newer games.
Bob I thought his name was Algy in this game.
+Jason Quiver he refers to himself as Andrew, just watch the actual video.
catlover67803 I did.
But this is just a fan translation.
His name is Algy. Fan translation renamed him to Andrew.
"Time to end our rivalry!"
**gets destroyed about 13 seconds later**
He wasn't wrong! >:D
Professor Heavy Wolf: welp that was pathetic from me
*then brawl happens*
Wolf: now how do you feel after getting rekt in 13 seconds, fox?
*Then smash ultimate happens*
Wolf: guess who is back, boi
Fox: just what i need to see,Star Wolf
Well, it ended.
*Professor Heavy* Now that I think about it- it looks like Andrew was originally based on the *tarsier* in "Starfox 2" before Nintendo redesigned him into a baboon in "Starfox 64". 🤔
I love the "twinkle in the sky" entrance they have; I don't get why they didn't keep that effect in later games.
IKRRRRRR
To think the SNES was capable of this back then is amazing
Actually, I they developed a new chip called the FX2 chip which was more powerful than the original.
I love this game
The peak of its potential.
too bad it never saw the light of day
Pigma doesn't mention fox's father
This isn't the real pigma
Star Fox & Star Fox 2 are parallel to Star Fox 64 two different backstory
***** Oh, i don't really know too much about star fox
I reported your comment on accident sorry
+Idazmi7 The lore is Andross is an ex scientist who wants to take over the lylat system then pepper banishes him to venom. The star fox team by then who were James, Peppy and Pigma (He is so evil) went to investigate but Pigma betrayed the star fox team and so James McCloud died. Not wanting to get into an argument, but you're kinda violating Hanlon's Razor. Never assume malice when stupidity is just as valid of an explanation.
this theme must be used in any future game of Star Fox specially when Wolf is alone
+Fox McCloud I hope it be used in Star Fox Zero when you battle Star Wolf in the Super FX Arwing you can access with the Fox Amiibo.
it said Andrew
because is a english fans translation hack but Algy is a equivalent to Andrew sush as Miyu and Fay to Katt and Bill.
+Fox McCloud when I played it on computer it was i n Japanese
Oh
I like how Wolf looks like a warrior, Pigma looks like a toon, Leon looks stoned, and Andrew looks like just a species of monkey, boy 64 really changed star wolf the most.
Wolf looked more badass. I'm glad Ultimate Wolf's design is better than Brawl's
can't let you do that STARFOX
Andross has ordered us to take you down
Peppy, long time no see.
Andross’s enemy is my enemy!
Just what I need to see STARWOLF.
First lets take care of these guys first.

+chaoticcranium I thought the same! It'd have been so awesome. This theme is amazing and I really wish they actually use it someday :(
The reason why the game was Canned because it was about to be released on the N64 Timeline, And they were more focused on Star Fox 64, thus it was canceled.
chaoticcranium
Also, when you here what pigma has to say about backstabbing James:
...change of plans: the pig dies first
chaoticcranium Well the actual official translation on the SNES Classic is better than this fan translation
>Wolf sounds more like an angry old man chasing kids off his lawn
He was obviously designed to be much older than Fox, at least for Star Fox 2. Hence his dialogue here.
One of the best Game tracks of all time. It's so disappointing that there are so many video game musicians on RUclips and yet a good portion of them have never even attempted to create their own instrumental version of this.
All I hear is static and beep boop
But yeah a remaster of it would be nice
GaMetal made a remix of this.
Fun fact: When you defeat algy his phrase is the same phrase of ruffian of star fox assault in mission 3
""""andrew""""": I won't let you do what you want
algy officially: I own you
It's really a shame we never got any mixes of this Star Wolf theme. I loved Star Fox 64's theme and Star Fox's Assault remix of the theme, but I really wish they'd have made a more modern version of this theme.

Venom 2 should've used Surprise Attack
@@scrappykakaw3104 Iconic or not I'm sure anybody who played any Smash game once knew about Fox or even Falco...
Wolf's ship is basically a Wolfen but with the Arwing colors.
To all of you confused about Algy and Andrew, Andrew was actually design for Star Fox 2 but was never used. They recycled him for Star Fox 64.
Algy on the other hand was never used in any other again like Miyu and Fay.
Sadly... I wish we could've seen those 2 and Krystal in the same game
a lemur-thing in space episode 1: don't call me andrew
Andrew is my star fox 64 replacement, not my name -Algy
"Can... *snort* can I see your legs?"
So cool to see their ACTUAL debute.
"Andrew" here is actually Algy. He was replaced with the actual Andrew in later games. Meanwhile, Algy's design kinda got recycled into Dash Bowman in Command.
@@VestedUTuber thanks for the info!
If you see it this way, the ships of all the other members of Star Wolf exploded, but Wolf's didn't.
...does that mean that, in this continuity, they're dead for good?
Exactly
Pigma definitely deserved to die for betraying James and Peppy
Either that or they managed to eject before their ships exploded. Keep in mind that the other Star Wolf fights take place in orbit around planets while the Wolf fight always takes place in deep space.
Really impressive they could force this out of the SNES. Yeah there was more hardware in the cart than earlier games on the system but it's still impressive they pushed it that far.
Okay, if "Algy" is a separate character, then why is he named Andrew here? I'm more intrigued that this "Algy" was just a beta design for Andrew in terms of the character's appearance.
Because the translation patch calls him Andrew rather than Algy, most likely for familiarity reasons.
I personally prefer the translation's way of calling him.
***** Well, it's not like there's anything wrong with that, is there? :3
Is it weird to say this Wolf looks a lot more grizzled than he does now? Like the exposed scar comes off more tough than the eyepatch does.
Leon looks high.
I can't wait to battle Star Wolf when Star Fox 2 will be released on the SNES classic!
i wish they'd bring back this song in star fox or smash bros.
totally i like pigma`s battle because his face when hes talking is funny so this is one of my favourite characters
スターウルフの初登場作品がこの[スターフォックス2]だったのね。
Why does Wolf’s ship stand out in his team?
Jesus christ his name is leon because hes a chameleon aaaaaaaaaaaa 20 years aaaaaaaaaaaaa
Get Ready Star Wolf
Andrew:I Got a Present for ya!
Pigma:Ah! So this is Star Fox!
Leon:Don't Party just yet!
Wolf:Ha Ha! Your not as stupid at your lot!
I love the star fox series its a masterpiece
Fox McCloud: Party time is over, Star Wolf!
Pigma sure is more tame in this one
This Star Fox 2 is technically completed but still as final beta due to some bugs and still unedited ending credit and some missing element, only Dylan Cuthberg have the real Star Fox 2 version but untranslated.
He should freaking release it.
2:00 Andrew? I-is that really you?!
In this version of the game it says ‘Star Wolf Team’ on the side of Wolf’s ship. I’m pretty sure it’s not there in the final version.
*sigh* this takes me back
Also, who heard their N64 voices on the dialogues?
Lester Roquefort I heard their Zero voices
Nintendo had a great game on their hands.
That came out to late
It's awesome that characters from an unreleased game made it into another (actually finished) game. What caused the thing with Algy/Andrew though?
Andrew was designed first and the devs probably liked Andrew better so Algy got replaced
Leon in the older one looks like he’s been on the devils cabbage for far too long and is going through some insane withdrawal symptoms, Andrew isn’t even andrew, pigma i guess doesn’t use war paint yet, and wolf is the closest to himself.
3:25, obvious reference to Star Fox 64, also, I guess this is why Wolf has an eyepatch
+Yoshi Draco This game was made first, though. Unless you're referring to the translator. I have no idea, I haven't played SF64 in a while.
This all got rebooted in SF64.
i wish this theme would play once wolf is the only one left alive or something in one of the new games
Pigmalión doesn’t say Noo my beautiful reward
this ant my boy
Lol i like fighting them all at ones on the 64 it more satisfying as a true pilot 😈 but the ine one on one on star fox 2 was amazing
Can't let you do that Star Fox
This game is so fucking good.
How did you lock onto Leon at the start? I don't know how to do that
Secret power up.
You sure kick ass Fox!
Why does Wolf ship is different of others at star fox 2 but in 64 dimension all star wolf member had same ship
One of wolf's eyes is covered with blood.
Its kinda hard to see what's going on and my eyes are hurting because of it! PS no I don't get seizures from flashing lights
How to fight with Andrew? I only fought with Leon, Pigma and Wolf
Algy (Andrew is the wrong name) is only fightable in the hard modes.
How did you get it to zoom out
Fox, giv me your Melee impression! I love Melee
Who else wants to see this game on virtual console
I almost fell like were controling james Mcloud in this one
Why wolf had the scar in the Other eye?
This game was created before star fox 64 you do know that right
Man, this game looks so much more intimidating and serious than the new Star Fox... Should've released this instead of Star Fox Zero XD
Go play it on an emulator. :D The game was pretty much finished but they canceled its release due to the 64 being so close to release and thus ended up waiting and re-released 'star fox 64' with elements of star-fox 2 incorporated into it...
Dhraken I had just downloaded it! Haha! Pretty awesome so far.
Wow, you went all out on Andrew
Wolf:"can't let you do that Star Fox"
Leon"Andross has ordered us to take you down"
Pigma:Peppy long time no see"
Andrew/Algy:"Andross' enemy is my enemy"
Fox: Just what i had to see, Star Wolf.
How do you lock?
Would you mind if I used this in a Star Wolf battle compilation video? I will give you full credit for the battle and link the audience to your channel.
Leon,Pigma,Algy & Wolf. Who is this algy
Star Fox 2's Counterpart to Andrew
Matthew William This is the unofficial english ROM translation.
This character's real name IS Algy.
it could be a good idea for miyamoto to remake this game, or at least the gameplay on the starfox WiiU
Star Fox and Star Fox 2 is non-canon they will never remade, but they can use some elements and maybe they can re-used some music.
i was talkin in terms of gameplay, not story, they can at least make a brand new story and miyu and fay be newcomers in the team in the course of the story
Fox McCloud Star Fox: Command uses a lot of the gameplay mechanics found in Star Fox 2.
command has such a horrible story, besides, they use the map thingy based on turns rather on real time
BirriaBoy64 Star Fox Zero is had some elements from Star Fox 2, most notably, the walker mode...
Need this in Smash
Hey I didn't know it was possible to fly the game in third person view when you are in space.
Anyway, I rather enjoy this game and I find it a shame it never got released.
I hope the person who own the one fully finished ROM will one day upload it so that we can experience what it would have been like.
if you press start button to pause the game in space mission you can change the camera mode (or by pressing select button in the fans English version)
Fox McCloud
Thanks but after seeing this video I decided to try that out myself and realized that it was possible to change camera views during space battles.
Heh I thought you could only use 'select' during the planetary missions to switch between ship and walker mode.
But thanks again.
thanks...
I think this theme is better than my current one :/
+Lord O'Donnell
Agreed.
why the hell are they running away? Aren't they supposed to be ambushing US?
Why do they introduce them selves in star fox 2?
Except for Leon and Wolf.
Because Star Fox 2 was when Star Wolf was going to be introduced, but this game was gonna come out too late in the SNES' life and it was scrapped. Sucks, too, since they scrapped it _days_ before release.
Dylan Cuttberg or whatever his name, he confirmed the complete version of the game is actually exist and he have one.
How did you play this?
IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE
There's a leaked ROM with a fan translation, and the game was also released on the SNES Classic as an unlockable if you beat Corneria on any route in Star Fox 1.
Hey Pigma, isn't every single sentence that flies out of your mouth supposed to contain at least one snide remark about how you killed Fox's dad?
That backstory didn't exist until 64.
super Nintendo was a beast. The Genesis could not compete with this and DK Country.
Vector who?
THIS GAME WAS NOT DELETED?
This game was cancelled in 1996, during the release of Nintendo 64, But, when Super Nintendo Classic Edition was released, they finally released Star Fox 2.
whose arwing is that? it looks like the only not ugly arwing in the game
All type of a Arwing are exclusive by Star Fox team, The Star Wolf team ship is also called Wolfen
Andrew ate algie

So fox...how's the gang

RiseEvil gotcha sorry I'm new to star fox
GH GAMING Don't worry about that, It took me time as well to know StarFox's Lore haha
algy? weird name.
WABEDEWAPWADA
My god, Andrew was weird looking.
And is it just me, or does Star Fox Zero sort of do this?
The one-on-one fights? Absolutely, but they also do the more familiar all-at-once fights. I like the one-on-ones more because A) you have to work to find them and B) they have special moves they use against you. Lightning Tornando and Plasma Shield are a bear to get around.
