The whole Star Fox universe has an immense potential of becoming a really written-out series or longer feature film. Really wish they could give the franchise a chance again like this.
I'm in the same boat with you. I still see sooooooo much potential left in the series. It just needs to be executed properly. If you ask me, this is the first I believe Nintendo should take some heavy notes from the fanmade game "StarFox: Events Horizon" fanmade game. Now THAT's a game to truly show off alot of light and potential for the series that could get the franchise back on track!
I always felt that Star Fox could definitely work as a series if you take aspects from other anime genres such as Sentai, Mech, Fantasy, Adventure, and combine it into a Coming Of Age story with Slice Of Life aspects set in a universe similar to that of Beast Stars where the characters have actual lives outside of the conflicts within that world. It draws HEAVILY from the lore and mythos of the games but maybe set in a different universe from that of the games. My idea always consisted of a young Fox McCloud trying to balance his social life and academic life at the Cornerian Air Force Academy while also living up to the legacy of James McCloud, leading his own young team of pilots (Falco Lombardi the hot-head, Slippy Toad the brains, Peppy Hare Jr. the muscle of the group, and Bill Grey the free-spirited one), clashing with his academic rival Wolf O'Donnell and his team (Leon Powalski, Pigma Dengar, Andrew Oikonny, and Panther Caroso), and also the threat of the Androssian Empire. You can even do arcs and sagas based on the various games like the Lylat War Saga, Dinosaur Planet Arc, the Aparoid Arc, the Anglar Empire arc, and introduce characters from those games. Hell, you can even bring in characters from the comics and introduce brand new characters.
I actually saw a piece of artwork about Falco a little while back. At first I didn’t know who he was but the artwork was him being Tokoyami’s dad and Raven from teen Titans was his mom.😅 I was so confused cause I didn’t know who he was until I did a little research and I saw this video. And honestly I think I see why the artist made falco and Raven the parents of Tokoyami.🤷♀️
Well, if Falco is the evolutionarily sentient equivalent of the peregrine falcon, he likely has a flicker fusion frequency greater than or equal to 129 Hertz, which means he experiences time more slowly than human beings who have a flicker fusion frequency of around 60 Hertz, assuming that the human being in question doesn't consume large amounts of Mountain Dew or regularly snort massive lines of cocaine. So your assertion would be scientifically valid. And don't do drugs, just do the Dew.
Oh my god, I love this take on things. Fox, Falco, and Slippy are a bunch of sloppy, immature late-teens pilots, and Peppy is basically the nagging parent of the group (who always has to clean up after them). They nailed Falco's personality with the frustration at dying in a video game. And a solid scene of them working as a team? This is probably the best piece of Star Fox media ever released. It fleshes out the main four characters so well! I love it! Now if only there were something like this for Star Wolf. That would be great.
TotallyCarbon They'll have to raggle the copyright from the creators... Oh, wait, no need, they can just Steel ideas and series and shutdown the whole internet if they pleased. Totally forgot who we were talking about here. :p
@@andresmarrero8666 They did, it was basically the backstory of how Fox reformed the StarFox team. In it, Fox was a prodigy pilot with the Cornerian Flight Academy while being friends and rivals with Falco as well as friends with Slippy. After he learned about his father's death he was pissed that Corneria wasn't going to respond to the death of his father so he decided to drop out of the academy and become the new leader of Star Fox.

@@stephenbyrne2170 I think Star Fox 64 3D didn't sell well enough for them, and then Star Fox Zero had underwhelming sales as well. The sad part is that Star Fox Zero is good, but the motion controls kind of hinder it. Other than that, it's the best SF game since SF64.
@@GameBeatenakaKevinS I kinda want Star Fox Zero to the ported to the Switch, and have the gameplay be completely redone to be basically an HD remake of Star Fox 64. And I’m sure a lot of fans would be completely on board with that. The Wii U gamepad would be just a different view point by moving right stick + up.
I think this just may be my favorite voice for Fox. Yeah I like how they got the og from 64 back but, most of his lines delivered today sound so...commercially (mostly because he used to be a radio host) they came off so natural in the original 64. Here, Joe Zieja makes Fox sound brash, fierce, but strong willed and determined, more focused. Perfect for a stern leader.
I agree, I like this show so much that it should be its own series. And I came to realize that if I were to compare them to TMNT characters, Fox would be like Leonardo because of his leadership, Peppy would be like Master Splinter for being the eldest member, Slippy is like the combination of Donatello and Mikey for having his inventive side and his childish side and Falco would be like Raphael because he's the most aggressive character who tends to bicker with members of his own team, especially Slippy.
They made one for Zelda, two for Mario, and a number of series for Sonic. But never for the Star Fox games, just do not understand it. Its a real shame to say the least.
This would be amazing as a series! Fox is the confident team leader, Falco's the super cocky hotshot, Peppy's the seasoned veteran, and Slippy's the often-ridiculed-but-super-capable little buddy! But seriously, why do some people hate Slippy?
This was so well made. It's a shame Starfox Zero did so poorly, now Nintendo is probably not going to make anything Starfox related for a long time. I wonder if they were planning on making a series like this if the game did well.
@Tanya Collett Same here! Star Fox has been my favorite over Mario and others! (I do like other Nintendo exclusives, but I like Star Fox all the way) Star Fox 64 was way ahead of time though to be considered an epic game.
StarLink did give Star Fox another playable appearance, although whole toys to life thing is poor on sales. But my gripe is this. If the developers would stop trying so hard on innovation and just focus on the basics, right down to providing content, then Star Fox Zero would be in a better place than what was presented. The game is a bit over average to me, because there were so many things they've could have improved.
Well the whole thing is inaccurate cause they used a missle thing and the tower was being swarmed and their where different quotes and it looked different in a way
This has the potential to be the best and most faithful video game adaptation into a show. The characters are believable extensions of their SF64 selves.
I still wonder why they won’t make this into a series; I’d want them to do that. It’s probably because they don’t have enough money or budget, or maybe not enough people like it. It may have to get a lot more popular before the developers even think of making this into a series.
Wow just wow. Everything was just spot on, the animation, the voice acting, everything. It was an absolute joy to see the Star Fox gang back in action. It was halarious seeing Falco play the old Star Fox game and even just seeing Fox, Slippy, and Peppy all just living ordinary day life's was refreshing and makes us viewers see what their like in there downtime. :) To all the people who made this film, this is a dream come true for Star Fox fans everywhere and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. My only nitpick with the film is that I really wish Krystal was in the game, as I really enjoy her as Fox's wife, and would love to see her interact with the team. 1000 out of 10 Nintendo. :)
@@AmyTheBrawlergood thing Starfox Command wasn't canon, because it was full-on TRASH! Starfox Command is, as far as I'm concerned, the worst Starfox game of ALL time. I would consider Command worse than Guard(which really had nothing to do with Starfox whatsoever), just because Command's controls make it downright unplayable.
I'm with you. I'd love to see Krystal return. Though they'd need to age her up, as in Adventures she was 7 years younger than Fox, which would make her about 11 here. ^ ^; I'd be perfectly fine if they were the same age, myself. Would be sweet if they met at the academy.
Honestly out of every Nintendo franchise star fox has the best potential of being a successful TV show. It’s got a ton of potential storylines and character development
Given the fact they were planning to leave Atlas at the end of the Starwolf story in Starl-link, maybe that could be a good entry point for introducing Krystal once more?
I love how some of the mouth movements are clearly originally for Japanese dialogue. Besides that. This is brilliant. Makes you look forward to the next game.
Okay I'm TOTALLY down for this to be a full series. Star Fox is one of my all time favorite under appreciated Nintendo series. I bet a full on anime series would generate some hype and get us some more games for it.
I'm glad they kept Peppy Hare's country accent. Peppy's old country flair was a beautiful contrast to Falco's city-thug cockiness, Slippy's nerdy naivete, and even Krystal's panic-stricken psychopathy.
+Jamal Richardson Nintendo have so much stuff that they can turn into anime. I'd love to see Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Legend of Zelda and Metroid become anime.
Peppy: Wait, hold up (Cut to the scene where Fox, Falco, and the both of us just stands there with our arms crossed) Falco: Does Peppy have to go to the bathroom right before every mission? Fox: (sighs) Us: Really, we spend a whole 30 seconds to a whole minute just for Peppy to used the bathroom
Falco:does peppy have to go to the bathroom right before every mission? I died at that part Edit: no joke I forgot this comment existed Edit 2: still forget it existed
I am just screaming here with all the references. B on the Smart Bomb The "Good Luck" on Fox's intercom when they shoot off "Do a Barrel Roll!" It's almost like we could have good cartoon spin-off shows of videogames if the writers truly care.
This is absolutely amazing! 🤩 It's everything I ever wanted in a Star Fox animated series. I really hope that becomes a reality someday. Never lose hope! 👍
Nintendo, PLEASE...I beg you! Continue this! If any Nintendo property deserved an animated series, this proves that Star Fox is at the top of the list! Metroid, too. I think both would work fantastically well.
3:22: (Falco clears Stage 1) Falco: Alright! Peppy: AND NO YELLING! Us to Peppy: Don't give us orders Fox is right about Peppy, he can be a stick in the mud sometimes
How come I'm just seeing this now? Also Falco's my favorite character from this short. There needed to be a series for this and various other Nintendo games.
I literally just learned about this game a week ago and I’m hooked! It would be really cool if they made this a series. The chemistry between characters, action, adventure, alien stuff, what’s not to like?
WRONG!! His eyes were always *BLUE* SSBM, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault, SSBB, and even the insult to the whole franchise known as Star Fox Command(and I REFUSE to see Command as canon, aside from FoxXKrystal having a son named Marcus, Peppy Hare's daughter Lucy and Slippy Toad having a girlfriend/fiancee called Amanda Toad)!!

My only nitpick with the film is that I really wish Krystal was in the game, as I really enjoy her as Fox's wife, and would love to see her interact with the team. 1000 out of 10 Nintendo. :)
preach
Command is confirmed by the developer to be non-canon, so Fox & Krystal aren't actually married.
3:45 “Out of his fur.” “Nothing weird there.” That was the best part
This Star Fox zero short story should have been made into a well deserved cartoon series.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I agree
I am That The Anime Was Use From Nintendo
So Slippy mentioned Planet Sauria at 2:43. That means Dinosaur Planet is still canon, and we may see it again in a new way.
I agree, Bring back Krystal/
We do need Krystal.
Given the fact they were planning to leave Atlas at the end of the Starwolf story in Starl-link, maybe that could be a good entry point for introducing Krystal once more?
Krystal may have stayed there when the great fox left
@@thenewbec8915 Krystal might not have been in Sauria yet. Thats not her home planet.
I love how some of the mouth movements are clearly originally for Japanese dialogue.
Besides that. This is brilliant. Makes you look forward to the next game.
Falco playing Star Wing (the original star fox game) brings back nostalgic memories
Okay I'm TOTALLY down for this to be a full series. Star Fox is one of my all time favorite under appreciated Nintendo series. I bet a full on anime series would generate some hype and get us some more games for it.
There's this awesome Star Fox fan game called star fox event horizon.
Falco's eyeliner game is stronger than mine wtf how dare
You should see the secretary bird has some of nicest eyelashes in the bird world
@@maximillianlylat1589 I made a video ranting about that XD but fr Falco's guyliner gets me
That’s one of slippy toad’s inventions
Slippy sounds kind of like Tails and Fox's voice actor in short is MILES better than his voice actor in Smash Bros
His smash bros actor is the same person who voices him in Starfox 64.
I’ve just wanted to see Wolf animated in this kind of style :(
With the Brawl voice actor of course
Oh my God yes, I'm holding onto hope for that one day
I've never really gotten into the whole Starfox franchise, so the character exposition was really helpful.
I like how it's sort of an anime but not quite
+Jayquoise
Well, it's in fact anime but in a different way.
just some assets and elements from the animation style
vjjetjj
I dunno, this short straight up ripped a page from the new Berserk anime by using cel shaded CGI with traditional anime framerates.
This style's actually become really popular in Japan. Ajin: Demi-human is a good example. Knights of Sidonia is another.
I'm glad they kept Peppy Hare's country accent. Peppy's old country flair was a beautiful contrast to Falco's city-thug cockiness, Slippy's nerdy naivete, and even Krystal's panic-stricken psychopathy.
2:47 Falco's like "hey, that's new"
why wont they make this a full fledged series? its so uniquely good
+Jamal Richardson i'd watch
+Jamal Richardson Nintendo have so much stuff that they can turn into anime. I'd love to see Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Legend of Zelda and Metroid become anime.
+JediJess1 ikr, and miyamoto got the nerve to say "we don't have plans in starting a tv series with there characters"...selfish thinking i swear
+Squidbee Blockland i'm sorry 😞 my dreams are crushed with you
I couldn't agree with you more. I can get used to this
4:19 Corneria City is under attack!
Peppy: :O!
Slippy: :O!
Falco: -_-
xD falco always keeps his cool
Peppy: Wait, hold up
(Cut to the scene where Fox, Falco, and the both of us just stands there with our arms crossed)
Falco: Does Peppy have to go to the bathroom right before every mission?
Fox: (sighs)
Us: Really, we spend a whole 30 seconds to a whole minute just for Peppy to used the bathroom
Smash: let's make Falco have a barely noticeable tail
This movie: *Let'S MAKe iT THIcc*
Falco:does peppy have to go to the bathroom right before every mission?
I died at that part
Edit: no joke I forgot this comment existed
Edit 2: still forget it existed
Fox and Us: (sighs)
"We are once more in your debt."
You could just pay them.
Peppy’s personality fits perfectly in the cutscenes.
Such a shame that this ended in a cliffhanger
It didn't you played star fox zero right
@@PseudoName.NotReal of course I played Star Fox Zero. I have it for my Wii U.
I am just screaming here with all the references.
B on the Smart Bomb
The "Good Luck" on Fox's intercom when they shoot off
"Do a Barrel Roll!"
It's almost like we could have good cartoon spin-off shows of videogames if the writers truly care.
You heard "Good Luck"? I didn't
@@raijyn2452 Not heard, it was on Arwing's screen.
@@23GreyFox oh. I see it now
And Peppy crashing into the Arwing seat head first which is normally Slippy’s thing
@@arcfurrie4856 Peppy Crashing before Slippy is something that almost never happens outside of Starfox 1
This feels like a test run for a full animated series. Considering Nintendo wants to start doing TV series, it wouldn't be too surprising.
6 years later
Jajajaja now Mario has a movie.
The fact that this is still not a movie or series is beyond me 😩
This is absolutely amazing! 🤩 It's everything I ever wanted in a Star Fox animated series. I really hope that becomes a reality someday. Never lose hope! 👍
I hope for that too!😁👍
"Out of his fur?" Nothing weird in there!" LOL
Juan Francisco Gonzalez Garza WATCH IT!!
Us to Peppy: No need to be pushy
This needs to be a series.
agreed
Fax
Nintendo, PLEASE...I beg you! Continue this! If any Nintendo property deserved an animated series, this proves that Star Fox is at the top of the list!
Metroid, too. I think both would work fantastically well.
I wish this was a full series, and if it was I would watch it for every new episode.
Slippy: *"I need some crap-"*
Peppt: *"YOU THERE DEAF?!"*
The best part XD
Slippy meant "And eat some crab-"
*three
Peppt
Subtitles aren't working properly.
When the anime short is better than the actual game.
@Zach Plaisted me too
I love this
they should make it a series tho
Zach Plaisted i dream about a cross over with star fox and rocket raccon
This is not Anime ._.
3:22:
(Falco clears Stage 1)
Falco: Alright!
Peppy: AND NO YELLING!
Us to Peppy: Don't give us orders
Fox is right about Peppy, he can be a stick in the mud sometimes
Rest in peace Peppy.
Peppy"I'm not dead" me"we can still hear his voice on the wind"(also I know his voice actor passed away)
10:00 is what everybody came for.
DO A BARREL ROLL!
haha
Actually I came for the music and dogfight starting around 7:22.
"Time for me to dance with the Angels!"
Stargazing Storyteller160 Peppy: Quick Fox, do a barrel roll!
Fox: What?
Peppy: Do a barrel roll!
Fox: Why would I
Peppy: Do a f*%king barrel roll!
I came for the furries.
1:46 - 1:51 "The name's fox, Fox McCloud. My father passed away "
10 minutes from video started and Peppy said "DO A BARREL ROLL!"
2:25 Finally, I found the clip!
How come I'm just seeing this now? Also Falco's my favorite character from this short. There needed to be a series for this and various other Nintendo games.
The fact that these expert fighter pilots play with wooden building blocks blows me away
A fox in space is still the best
I literally just learned about this game a week ago and I’m hooked! It would be really cool if they made this a series. The chemistry between characters, action, adventure, alien stuff, what’s not to like?
I think this is what fans want for the series over an actual game
+TheOneSkitzoGamer Nah we want games too
10:16 Don't call him Froggy, the last thing we need is Big The Cat in Starfox.
Lol 😂
Gameplay would consist of advertising fishing games, and pulling Andross' forces out of Aquas.
I like the detail where when they launch, the cockpit says "good job" on successfully launching without doing anything wrong. Its a nice detail.
R.I.P. Iwata-sensei......At least this animated short had some funny moments
No Actually His Eyes Are Grey
@@nin10dohgirl16 Command is disgoosting.
@@thestellarfalco5528 Yeah, it done did FoxXKrystal dirty......
