I'd like to add a TermX to my foxbody. H-pipe has spots for 2 o2's is it not necessary to monitor both banks for the fuel table? I guess the option to just add a 2nd 02 and monitor through a stand alone wideband would work. #9.5decknation
I believe you can still purchase the TX if you're on leaded fuel and just switch to a NTK WBO2 sensor. Instead of spending close to an extra grand for the HP model. Any opinions on this?
Great info! Question: I have a BBC that I’m looking to put nitrous and meth shot on. Which of these would you recommend? If I go dominator, I like the option of going to spark control in the future... if I can figure out how to get a 36 tooth wheel and distributor signal read by the ECU...
Decent video, except you missed a whole lot of options. Running boost? HP/Dom. Doubling up on injectors? Dom. NTK sensors? HP/Dom. Drive by Wire? TermX Max/Dom. Launch control, 2 stage limiter, TCS, onboard logging…. You barely breezed the options that would cover just a mild street motor. For anyone planning on anything hardcore or that will see lots of track time, I’d just recommend going straight to a Dominator. The added money now, saves you the price lost selling your TermX for half of what you paid and having to buy a Dominator later. Good thing is all the harness plugs will work on every ECU, so that is still an option should you decide to upgrade later, it’s just the ECU you’ll need to buy. IMHO, buy once, cry once. 🤷🏻♂️
@@RobD828Be sarcastic all you want, but you’re making a video to “help your customer decide” what to buy, but you cover HALF of what some of these units can do. Imagine your schoolteacher telling you they’re gonna “teach you Math”, and stop at addition/subtraction. I was merely trying to add to everything you missed to actually help people as well. Instead of just saying “Yeah, I was just covering basics” you had to get all snarky. Hope your customers see your attitude and go elsewhere. For all interested, Joe Simpson and Devin Vanderhoof have great in-depth videos on these units…. Without the attitude.
@@BlackwaterDSM I wasn’t being sarcastic. You seem very knowledgeable and I sincerely think you should make a video! It would be good for the masses. I also hope Joe gets all the business he can stand. We have a 6+ year back log at my shop. There’s plenty to go around. Everyone go see Joe!!!!
I'm a noob, and I'm wondering if someone knowledgeable in this can help. I have a 2005 Silverado and I'm planning to cam it and I know it needs to be tuned. Someone told me to just buy the terminator x for it. My question is, will all my original gauges and stuff work? Or will I have to rely on the 3.5" screen? Also they told me it's self tunable?
@@aaronchandler152 you can't because it has a different controller and signal. The controller sets up the right operating temperature and voltages. The signal is super important as well. Holley specifically designed the termi to run the Bosch. It's just one of those deals. Would be great to see them add the support, but as it is just not possible.
Great video. I was wondering why get the HP when the Terminator X was so much cheaper. Been also looking at Haltech elite 2500, very interesting option.
@@RobD828 correct you said you don’t get a screen with any of the dominator / hp setups. The terminator ls kits are dominator / hp setups and do come with the little screen
lsx swapped camaro I do not honestly know. However, the Bosch will work till it Don’t is kind of my findings when on leaded fuel. It may work for year and it may for days. The NTK is just a more robust unit when it comes to exotic fuels.
I've been reading that the Dominator system has the ability to self tune/learn. If this is true this is excellent for those who don't have close access to tuners. Seems like this feature helps the Dominator system pay for itself.
Thanks man I love the info terminator x is gonna work for me gonna put it in a battery box under the hood
Might want to change your wifi passwords now
Justin Elze lol it’ll be fine.

fordltd1983 it is not required
Sir you cover it all , just forgot the transmission control
Which system will work best in a marine environment running a 1x cam sensor with 58x crank reluctor ?
I was on the fence about purchasing the terminator x for my blown fox, This was very helpful, Thanks Rob!
Will the term x max survive water meth injection??
Thank you good job Rob I want to thank you for all the great information thanks a lot

Aaron Chandler the tx does not have the software or hardware to run an ntk sensor.
Rob’s Rod Shop thank you for the response! Your video is very helpful
Wonder if you could get away with low imp injectors on termx if used with a resistor box to raise the impendance like some oems do.
Does the terminator x work on ford v6 engines? I have a 2.8i capri with bosch k-jectronic, however would love to modernize the efi. Thanks in advance
So I've got a 95 sn95 with 2 o2 sensors (1 in each longtube). Would I have to change my setup or could I just block one off to use Tx?

Appreciate the breakdown! Thanks.
nice wifi password. hope you changed it.
wow much better explaining the meat and potatoes of each than holley site.
Very helpful information
Now, can you add in a FT 600 to that comparison?
How much would you charge for a base map tune and some tuning pointers for a dedicated turbo drag car?
It’s $60 an hour.
Thanks for the free wifi
Thank you for the advice helped me out on which one to go with I'm new to fuel injection lol

Love my Terminator X
Goid vid. Wish I seen sooner
When you say HP do you mean hp tuners and a stock tuned ecu?
No. There is the Holley HP ECU. Bro....the video is talking about Holley EFI systems.
Thanks for the info!
I was still curious if you could run a ntk sensor with the terminator instead of the one provided.
i dont see why not. i actually just asked a similar question above

@@th600mike3 So the terminator x isn't a good idea to run e85 / flex fuel on a sbf making over 600hp NA.

none

All AEM wideband controllers use Bosch LSU sensors, very few wideband controllers use NGK/NTK sensors

The TermX self learns too
It’s a running tune not a wot tune to go out racing with , you can find some many email tuners that can help you with getting a real tune setup
