Byron thank you so much! It's people like you that make it worth it to put all the effort into making these kind of videos. Thank you so much for watching and commenting brother 🤜💥🤛
Thank you so much bro!! I'm glad you found it interesting!! I really appreciate you watching and commenting. I hope you have a wonderful day and my friend ✌️😊
Nice build, but the number one issue with that truck is the garbage ESC, which holds not only the motor, but the servos back. This can be fixed by the lizard pro for $65(plug and play) or just $22 with the new Injora ESC, if a TX/RX swap is in the cards. I personally went full tilt with the Furitek Stinger Brushless kit with mini Komodo and complete chassis swap, but major gains can be achieved by just loosing/bypassing that garbage ESC.
Thanks bro, I really appreciate that. And I totally agree I really don't like the electronics in the ax 24 Definitely the worst combo yet!! I have tried everything with the original setup but there is no stopping that lurching or stopping! I wish I could run a furitek system but still can't order them on this side of the pond! Hopefully soon I will find a good motor and transmission combo. I really appreciate all the info you left in the comment as it's very handy. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment bro. 🤜💥🤛
Yeah, I agree, basically is garbage. The AX24 is just a toy unless you replace literally everything. The only original parts left on mine are the Axles and the shocks(and those might also get swapped too lol) I also went with the the Fury Tech Angry Sparrow frame as well. It’s a beast now. Cost a pretty penny to get to this point. It seems like a crime to be deprived of Fury Tech products. I feel for you bro.
Thanks man I appreciate that it's very difficult to find good music that hasn't got copyright! I try my best but very rarely get somebody comment on the music 😅 So thank you so much for commenting and watching 😊👍👍
Daaaaaamn bro, that thing has hella flex, mighty impressive! One thing to note though, I think Furitek has a better chassis for this rig, if not, someone does, think Cape Crawlers was looking at a different chassis for this specific rig, in particular, not certain though. 🤔
Couldn't agree more bro! I was blown away by the flex it gained with the double barrel shocks. Yeah I have seen a few chassis out there for it! Going to have to check up which is the best alternative. Thanks for the tip I'm going to go and check out a couple of his videos on this rig. Like always bro thank you so much for watching and commenting 👊😉
It's an awesome Chassis design, I just don't like, how limited it is for space! Definitely harder to work on in some of the other small scale rigs. Will probably look for a carbon fiber chassis to replace it with. But I still think it's going to be a pain to work on. But I've got to say it is definitely worth it!! as this thing is one of the best performers!! 💯💯💯
Curious- getting ready to install Injora brass skid plate (belly pan) and noted the slot for trans gear leaves like better than 1/4 open area directly under trans. Did you address at all? If driving outdoors, sand and larger stuff can get into the bottom of transmission.
It's been awhile since I've worked on one of these but from what I can remember the bra skid plate is the bottom part of the transmission! The transmission has a gear that is protruding an opening but once it is assembled to the mount it is completely sealed! All of them are the same scx24 ax24 it's the same concept! I promise once it is all assembled there is no gap for no dirt to get into the transmission. I hope that answers your question!
@rcfungames thanks for reply. I have same skid as yours 11:43. That slot is a good 3/8" longer than base of trans. Mine trans mounted, exposed slot goes under trans. pretty good opening, depth & width of slot. Stock skid has 'box' that matches bottom of trans so assembled it is sealed. After the fact found most other mfgs incorporate this sealing feature (MoFo RC, Rampcrab etc) but a few use this open slot design. Too late to return but I'll figure something out. I also noted trans can be mounted 180° or 2 different positions on this skid, but the slot and outer screw boss aren't symmetrical. One position matches stock, the other pushes motor & trans toward the right chassis plate quite a bit.

Is that LocTite you are using?
Yes bro it's locked tight I'm using and I recommend getting the blue loctite.
Anything else will be too strong.
