I had the same problem on my xc-1... I ended up mounting (shocks) them to the outside of the chassis w a long screw, an aluminum spacer and finally a very tiny nut. What a challenge, but 'I got 'er done'... Didn't know I could have this much fun goin' this slow...... thank you for the video........
I love my ax24 I have not done much but wheel weights, swapped my stock redcat ascent 18 wheels over and brass dif cover on the front. Definitely needs a couple more upgrades. I would have loved to seen the side by side of the stock truck vs modded. I love the channel and finding these older videos. Keep it up!
LOL, I guess 18 hours is long enough. All these upgrades really made this tiny rig top tier.!! Love the new pin spike tires.!! It's too bad about the stripped bolts though... tiny downer in an almost perfect rig.
👍👍way better! went right up the steep part smoothly! I knew you were going to mod it quickly but I did not think that fast and full blown! Stinks about the stripped screws they must be from the same place they get the losi lmt ones from they are super soft!!
Brent, awesome, you know what you want to do to get it to perform better than the last run. I'm pretty sure you gave a few more upgrades to complete the AX24. 👍👍I'm learning a lot from you on these 24 crawlers. Thank you. 💯💯💯
Brass definitely brought that wheel down on those steep climbs I'd love to collect them all I just don't have the terrain to get enough use but out of them all I'm really interested in this one nice work Brent 👊
Awesome video excellent upgrades definitely a very cool rig my first crawl was the ax10 deadbolt. Still got parts of it on several of my other rigs. Take care and have fun brother
try a little spacer between the shocks and the frame to allow enough clearance. I used the extra o-rings that came with all the links I've collected but I'm sure theres better options 👍
Hehe, looks like me buying Injora empty, yesterday. I didn't got the brass rims I wanted, just now they're sold out. We both had the same thoughts about the upgrades. But I let the shocks out in hope of getting some with the 51 length in the nearer future. So a big thanks for your test with the shorter ones. The servo mount is little bit shocking. I hope the airplane E-Max has the same size as the standard for the SCX24 or I cannot use the ordered ones. The bolt thing is really annoying and I'm praying not to get this experience.
I purchased a FMS - FCX24 K5 Blazer & got the same Injora - 55mm Comp Pin 1" crawler tires & they grip pretty well. But if you get a set of Proline - 2-Stage Crawler 1" Foam Inserts & put them into the Injora - Comp Pins 1" crawler tires, they are twice as good at crawling. The 2-stage inserts will make the tires a larger diameter at ruffly 60mm tall instead of 55mm tall & make them perform far much better overall & much better sidewall stability also. I highly recommend you give them a try because you will not be disappointed with the result.
Very nice indeed great haul 👍 agree with you they look great also . unfortunately I have noticed that a lot of screw housings come already damage from factory . great work looks much more capable 4ws it's awsome !
take the soft spings out of the shocks you didnt put on and put those on the stock shocks. it will drop it down a tad for lower CG and still keeps it pusing up on side hills.
thanks for this video.. i want to upgrade my ax24. not sure about those tires. i do like the mud terrain M/T from injora. i have them on all my 24th crawlers. they work good on my indoor crawler course.
Great video Brent, I dig all the mods! Those Injora wheels and tires are really cool and I think all the brass helps a lot! Sorry that you couldn't use the shocks, maybe you'll figure out how to make them work down the road!
Hi there Brent, must be slipping, own it for 18 hours and upgrading it, what took you so long 😂😂😂. You’re enthusiasm for this great platform and your go to, Injora and TopCad upgrades, will certainly improve this even more. Just love this idea of 4WS, so, so interesting how this RC 4WS steering works. Great work. Best wishes 😊😊
I realize this was 2 weeks from today ( 02/21 ) but something I did was kept the stock shocks but I put the springs from the double barrels on it which allows it to sit almost droop but not quite

Thank you very much my friend
Lots of cool upgrades, not so good the screw issues. Nice the weight helped with the wheel cocking.
Just waiting to get one had to get a little cash first. Appreciate your sharing love your course looks great I’ll be following for more 👍👍😎

I'm upgrading mine and the one upgrade I noticed makes a huge difference is the brass center skid plate and yes this things are super fun 👍
Just added weights, new tires & wheels on mine tonight!
It makes a big difference thanks for watching

What a difference. The copperhead build should still whop it. =)
Thank you Gary I think your right that thing is just crazy

Hi! Have you been able to find shocks that work?
Just an idea Brent. Have you tried 10K+ diff-oil for the 43mm? It should smoothen the shocks and prevent bending.
😎👍

Put your throttle at 50% input and you will have smoother throttle control 😊

Thank you very much John I had to I love messing with the little trucks

The fact that they went back to v1 electronics shows you what they think of us grrrr lol
I agree they make a great new crawler and put Jerry electronics in it
With it being spektrum electronics I wish they put the spektrum micro servo in it bc at least that would of been better then the servo that's in jt
I just have to collect them all also 😅
