    D.C was an incredible talent one of my favorite players ever...He had the potential to be one of the greatest PF's of all time but injuries plagued him throughout his career and a few off the court run in's with the law didn't help....but my goodness that boy was ferocious! was 6'10 had a handle, had a good outside shot for a big man at the time, could pass the rock like a guard, great post game, a scorers mentality and most importantly...a killer instinct! didn't win because in his prime with the Nets they sucked! him and K.A couldn't do it alone then came the mri's still and all he was great and fun to watch in my opinion he is super underrated in my book...Salute to D.C for all his charitable work till this day...good dude misunderstood...as you grow older you make better decisions in life (your not the same person at 20 or even 25 then when your later years) I can attest to that from personal experience...So D.C was that dude and is still that dude!

    He really should have been the first Garnett/Duncan. His game was complete!

    Really complete player. Plenty of post moves, outside J, good handle, good pacer, solid rebounder. That Nets team with Kenny, DC, & Petro was nice. Morris & Bowie were solid too.

      He also didn’t care about the game at times. Once he got overpaid that was it. One of the first players to get a overpaid contract compared to his actual value on the court.

    He played an AAU game in my city one year in(West Michigan). He was a man among boys. He was rebounding the opponent's shots, dunking, and pretty much doing what he wanted to do. I remember he had on some navy blue Nike Dunks.

    Bar-none, DC is my favorite Cuse player of all time (yes, even over the Pearl).I played on every black-top in Syracuse and would only wear his Cuse #44 jersey. I played with him, Pearl, Raf Addison, Matt Roe and Andre Hawkins downtown at the YMCA, I told him he was my favorite and he laughed and later gave me a present I will always cherish, an elbow and a black eye. Note: It was getting dark and I was always the only white player on the court and he told me I should go home to be safe, I will never forget that, that stayed with me all my life, LOVE YA DC AND PLEASE MAKE DETROIT BETTER!

    Karl Malone once said
    there were 3 of more talented players than him, Charles Barkley, Chris Webber and Derrek Coleman. But he overworked them and none of them was better than him.
    True. If DC had Malone's work ethics, he would've been one and only top PF in NBA history.

    Derrick Coleman was like a poor man's version of Charles Barkley but with little muscles in his body. The 90s had some of the most skill and fundamental players around that time, that's something that today's NBA is missing, too many Finesse players from the Center to the Point Guard position that spread out and jack up threes.

  • @xaviervega468
    @xaviervega468 6 лет назад +2

    Biggest underachiever I've ever seen. With the talent and game he had he should have eventually surpassed Malone and Barkley but they both lit his ass up every time they played him.

    • @bigchee72

      Xavier Vega thats not true.

    • @xaviervega468
      @xaviervega468 6 лет назад +1

      Dude I watched the NBA religiously back then, especially Malone and Barkley's games because they were my two favorite players. Believe me, they busted DC's ass just about every time they played him. And they both said DC had the talent to be just as good or better, he just didn't have the will.

    • @bigchee72
      @bigchee72 6 лет назад +3

      Xavier Vega you do know theres game footage on youtube of Nets DC facing Barkley, right? I didnt see Barkley busting his ass especially when neither spent too much time guarding each other.

    Some of the most wasted potential ever. He started out like he was going to be a superstar, but faded into the background almost as quickly as he burst onto the scene. And that started way before the injury problems and the off the court stuff.
