By far for me though the 2 most difficult to leave off the list were Luka Donic and Arvydas Sabonis.
How can he be underrated when he was selected into the dream team? And also HOF? The only discredit done to him was that he wasn’t in the top 50 greatest players of all time.
The blue and yellow picture cover .... I see his mouth and cleft-chin but where are his eyes, nose and other facial features? Either Chris had them or he was the best blind basketball player to step on the court.
Sorry, i am old enough to have lived through Mullin's whole career, seeing it up close from the Bay Area as a Warriors fan. And i'm telling you, Chris Mullin wasn't underrated. If anything, Warriors fans overrate him. I'll start with what was great about Mullin (other than his NY kid roots and way about him, which was universally loved. One of few US born white players that was truly liked by brothers in the league.) Mullin had a sweet jumper. Indeed, no doubt about it. But he was also incredibly smooth with the dribble and a great passer. Great court sense in general, great dude, very smooth offensive game. OK, you know what's coming. Defense. I'll again start with the positive. Mullin's great feel for the game, anticipation and hands led to many tip steals and that kind of thing, which at least somewhat mitigated his otherwise terrible D. And it was terrible. Mullin was really slow, and in small areas also wasn't really quick, if you know what i mean by that basketball wise. He meant well, and tried, and yes, had good court sense and hands, but he was just THAT slow that he hurt his team D being a liability while his one on one D was laughable. He played on bad Warriors teams for the most part, and maybe that and his cool demeanor are why he's seen as underrated. But anyone with THAT bad defense cannot almost by definition be underrated because fans tend to underrate D and overrate offensive players who don't play good D. Trying hard at D doesn't cut it. He meant well but was THAT slow and bad at D.
Starting to realize that all the greatest white players of all time are oddly also the most underrated ... Seems whites being dominant at basketball doesn't fit too well with the NBA narrative.
Jump shots aren't boring. You didn't have to keep replaying the same "spectacular" plays you chose. There were at least 5 per every game (way more) moves Mullin made to get open back in the day that created space where none should have existed.
How many times did Mullin go for 40 points or more in his entire career...if you guessed ONLY 7 times you would be correct, in 986 games only 7 times...over rated!
One of the most OVER RATED players in NBA history!!! Sure he could shoot but THATS ALL, tell me about how good his defense was, how many playoff series wins did he have, the game is more than just scoring people, he wouldnt make it in todays game...awful defense...awful, couldnt guard anyone...

@@menalogisticsco.5043 Bingo! you're spot on...Great minds think alike
@@menalogisticsco.5043 good point!
@@FacePCGaming it was effective too.. kudos!
His skills were just not from hard work, he had God given talent. Like MJ was a great player or Steph now God gave them physical skills . Yes they worked hard maybe better or harder than most , but never discount that they were blessed with ability's most don't have
Chris Mullins. In a smart system he would've been legendary. Say, a popovich Spurs team. When you got bad legs though, he was looking old by '95...well be4 his Pacers debut. He probably looks the same playing in one o them ol' timers legends game as he did his last few years haha!!
Did a third of this mullin highlight reel turn into Jordan highlights?
Joe Cook I had the same thought 🤔 as well when the Jordan highlight seemed a bit long and from out of nowhere, BUT, it set up and provided context for the following clip of CM from the same game going toe to toe vs J23 and P33 which then should allow a casual or younger fans to really understand just how dope CM’s game truly was!

Mullin bird i due giocatori bianchi più forti di sempre
Prima di Mullin metterei almeno Stockton, Maravich e Nowitzki.
2nd most underrated white player for me. With Rick Barry as my #1. Dave Cowens has a case.
NBA all time Caucasian team.
PG John Stockton
SG Jerry West
SF Larry Bird
PF Dirk
C Bill Walton
Backups
PG Jason Kidd
SG Pete Maravich
SF John Havelcik
PF Kevin Mchale
C Nikola Jokic
And to fill out my team with depth and different possibilities Rick Barry and Chris Mullin (go big or go small or put 4 maybe even 5 legitimate shooters on the court)
Theres a 2 time mvp left off my team Steve Nash who was left off purely bc of personal opinion, as well as 3 guys far before my time who certainly deserve a mention including an nba champ and mvp Bob Pettit who led the hawks to tbeir only title while dropping 50 points on Bill Russell in a championship game, hall of famer Bob Cousy who is yet another former MVP and yet another Celtic my top 12 included 4 celtics, and also George Mikan the leader of the Minneapolis Lakers the League's most dominant team before Russell's Celtics.
By far for me though the 2 most difficult to leave off the list were Luka Donic and Arvydas Sabonis.
Run TMC!!!!
Name of song at the intro ?
People hype Carmelo Anthony today but Mullins was basically the same player with much better defense so you young guns know
I think was a big time big East player
How is Chris Mullin underrated? I've never heard anyone say that
How can he be underrated when he was selected into the dream team? And also HOF?
The only discredit done to him was that he wasn’t in the top 50 greatest players of all time.
He's not
Sports Talk With Zo he is easily better than Lenny wilkens
@@sportstalkwithzo3707 he's easily top 30.
I grew up watching him kill but he rarely get's mentioned nowadays...that's reason enough
'•❤❤❤'•
The blue and yellow picture cover .... I see his mouth and cleft-chin but where are his eyes, nose and other facial features? Either Chris had them or he was the best blind basketball player to step on the court.
That's the back of his head my dude lol
I see a bit of Larry bird in chris mullin's play
But nobody gives him his flowers nowadays
Mullin Bird Curry best shooters ever
Underrated not really. Dude is a Hall of famer. Back in the day he was a beast.
Pretty sure this guy wasn't underrated every team knew he was the key to victory they game planed around him 🤔
i miss 90's NBA :( - song name 25:00
Sean Price "don't try it"
@@FacePCGaming thx
Just say no to drugs
Aside from Micheal Rappaport Chris has the strongest New York accent from a white dude.
👍
Mullin is Bird + Luka
Starting to realize that all the greatest white players of all time are oddly also the most underrated ... Seems whites being dominant at basketball doesn't fit too well with the NBA narrative.
Facts
@DICK LONG Havlicek, West, Barry, Maravich, are ahead. Cowens and Cunningham and Stockton probably as well.
@DICK LONG Kevin Mchale?
@DICK LONG 20 white NBA players better than Mchale? I cant think of 10 much less 20
@DICK LONG LONG! DON'T BE A DICK!!!!!!!!!!
Jump shots aren't boring. You didn't have to keep replaying the same "spectacular" plays you chose. There were at least 5 per every game (way more) moves Mullin made to get open back in the day that created space where none should have existed.
This guy was even whiter than Larry Bird. lol
Irish on both sides.
The scrapiest no nonsense Guards to play the game, this is why I rate so called King James 10- 16
"The Eminem of professional basketball."
How was he underrated if he was on the original dream team? 🤷♀️
He didnt get enough spotlights like others
Underrated? I don't know if HoF player is underrated?
The thumbnail looks like he got bad hair implants!!!
Why would you play such obnoxiously terrible music over what would have been an enjoyable highlight mix? Had to turn it off.
Larry Bird over shined him, due to his era. I think Chris Mullin was better in my opinion skill wise.
Worst haircut in the history of sport
How many times did Mullin go for 40 points or more in his entire career...if you guessed ONLY 7 times you would be correct, in 986 games only 7 times...over rated!
they also had Tim H. and Richmond for some years then Reggie Miller and Rose.
@Pepe Lopez yeah and Sprewell too for a bit...so he was with other pretty good scorers.
There's always jobs for hater's
@Rap Lawyer Thanks for telling me about his superb defense which was my ENTIRE point, all you did was mention him being on offense....bitch
