Drazen Petrovic's (RIP) Last NBA Game
THIS is the NBA on NBC
If not for injuries more people would include Brad Daugherty amongst the great centers of the 90's like Hakeem Robinson Ewing Shaq Alonzo and Mutombo. He was on a hall of fame trajectory but sadly was done by the age of 28 due to debilitating back issues.
Drazen Petrovic's last game before his tragic death only six weeks later. Also RIP to Dwayne Schintzus, Hot Rod Williams, Bobby Phills, and Chuck Daly
Gosh, many people have left us who give us good memories.
Collective thoughts and prayers... 🙏
That Nets team was legit and the Cavs were a dangerous, solid team.
Drazen's death was the biggest shocker
Nice to see Dwayne Schinztius doing his own...may he rest in peace
As a youngster, it was crazy to see him FIRST in “EDDIE”, before realizing he was a legit baller
Derrick Coleman... Looks like George Foreman playing basketball LOL
What a talent! 6-10, 260lbs. Big Man. Scores, rebounds, assists, rim protection, wide vision, elegant ball handling, power, speed, body control, 3-pointer, postup & faceup skills. Truly a total package! He has all the talents needed for modern days basketball. I'm sure Coleman would play good much better in nowadays!
Very true - DC and Chris Webber were ahead of their time.
😂😂😂
DC was definitely hof talent. I remember him being referred to as a prototypical pf for the future. like u said, he had the whole package. he can post up, shoot the mid range and from outside, had good handles, can pass, rebound and block. DC would definitely be a great center today.
Keep the classics coming!!!!
👍 yes hopefully more to come!
Do u have any games we're mark price vs muggsy bouges or mark price vs Michael adams
Brad Daugherty won this one on one matchup in rebounding, passing, and efficiency.
RIP Drazen Petrovic.
The fact that Coleman was handling the ball that far out from the basket in era where “Big’s” weren’t allowed to expand that part of their game shows how far ahead he was in the skills department. This why he’s one of my Favorite ball-players
I’m loving this channel. Awesome content! Keep it up dude
👍
Thnks for this classic and interesting big mans match up🎉
👍
Besides this being Drazen Petrovic's last game, this was also the Lenny Wilkin's last win as the Cavs' coach, as well as the home playoff win for the Cavs at Richfield Coliseum. Lenny would be fired after this season, and the Bulls would sweep the Cavs out of the playoffs this season and the next.
Great Upload. Thanks!
👍
@@MDBBall Upload More Chicago Bulls Basketball From NBA On NBC And TNT
Ok Kenny will hopefully look into it
If I am not mistaken, Petro returned prematurely to the lineup from a knee injury, hence his knee brace and poor performance.
Put This Game On NBA TV Hardwood Classic On TV
As always, thanks for sharing.
Until this feature, I haven't watched Brad Daugherty playing against Derrick Coleman.
Derrick Coleman's skill is indeed NBA-level, but somehow he failed to push and reach his full potential. A Wiki entry tells (via SI) "he's just happy to play to ensure his next paycheck."
He could be a lot more, sharing the same topic with Karl Malone and Charles Barkley.
As for Daugherty, he "only" played 10 seasons due to injuries. He was already a Cav and witnessed "The Shot" and the curse it brought the franchise. Too bad he and the Cavs have failed to redeem themselves until LeBron comes to town.
👍
Basically the Nets and Cavs were battling for the right to get worked by the Bulls in the next round lol.
RIP
좋은 영상 감사합니다
👍
This era of NBA basketball 🏀 is the era of "big men." This game is the Derrick Coleman show, but they lost in the end. And both these two teams are victims of the mighty Chicago Bulls.
Amazing stuff... May i ask, do you have by any chance some Petrovic footage? European here✌️
Hi sadly not a lot, the ones i have is mostly from his time with the Nets
@@MDBBall yes! Nba time im talking
Hopefully I'll look to put up more Drazen clips. There is one here if you missed it: ruclips.net/video/KNM9SrQePMg/видео.html
@@MDBBall thanks, really apreciatte it. Love your chanel!
The Cavaliers just over a decade before LeBron James came to the nba, he changed the franchise for sure.
Good job on uploading.
Can please upload more NBA on nbc and tnt? Thanks
Yes hopefully more to come
@@MDBBall 👌🏽
Would the Nets have put up a better fight vs Chicago in round 2 than the Cavs? I say yes.
Nope
Coleman could everything…
Derrick Coleman was so freakin talented. If DC had Karl Malone's work ethic and Charles Barkley's heart, he likely would have ended up a top 20 all-time great.
Come here for DC and Daugherty, and stay for Patrick Swayze...I mean, Dwayne Schintzius!
😁
All this...to get rekt'd by MJ in the semis.
A tech for hanging on the rim - wow, right in front of the referee- Mike Mathis all over that one.
