Holyfield was known to be a dirty boxer, he would lead his hand out to stop punches and tie up people, low blow then tie up, he leads with his head which caused a lot of damage due to headbutts. Mike was frustrated because he was constantly being headbutted and tied up. Evander had a solid chin though and was a great counter puncher.
@@danxploration8709 if you ever boxed you would know that headbutts work in both ways, you too are getting headbutted. No headbutts to be precise few of them that happened in Tyson Evander fight were result of no fighter willing to step back and refusing to give leverage to his opponent. Tyson headbutted Evander aswell. But yeah you are just trying to make excuses for losses Tyson took from Evander.
@TrapGodLocc incorrect if Tyson continued fighting boxers that weren't as good as he was than he would've retired undefeated.. Example if you were to fight someone that wasn't a good fighter, you would look like a bad ass. You'd be able to do pretty much anything you wanted. If you fought someone who was just as good as you or better you wouldn't be able to do what you did against a weaker opponent. Very easy to understand that's the reality u just don't wanna believe cuz you thought Tyson was invincible in the 80s. Tyson was n is an excellent ferocious boxer but he is undersized in the heavyweight division without a reach advantage. His relentless attack against opponents who feared him was an unstoppable recipe for total domination. When boxers who didn't fear him showed what it took to have a chance against him. Tillman, tillis, bonecrusher, Ruddock showed he wasn't all that they all stood their ground n went into late rounds even though they lost. Buster gave his all wasn't scared n was physically to big n strong for Tyson to handle. I don't care what anybody says holyfield will always beat Tyson at any stage of his career. He is a warrior n when u watch him fight Tyson it looks like he will never accept defeat. He took the fight to Tyson n Tyson isn't used to that he totally dominated Tyson
What Mike did was terrible but... Evander did have a bad habit of leading with his head when going forward. Lennox Lewis also complained about it when they fought.
The problem Tyson lost against Buster Douglas, that would´ve been his next fight against Evander. I guess that would´ve been the fastest Heavy Weight fight ever.
I always thought mike Tyson was the bad guy but looking back at the fight I don’t blame him. Getting headed butted that many times gotta he frustrating
Mike just got outclassed......mike always plays dirty all the time with elbows, low blows , headbutts and ear biting......and he admitted in the podcast that Mike intitiated those headbutts
It’s amazing that Mike’s career flamed out so spectacularly with the ear bite and prison, but yet now we’re here in 2024 and 58 year old Mike is as famous as ever, and still getting massive fights
The reason Mike was having a tough time in these fights ls because the peekaboo style rotations were halted with the clinch and defensive blocks, and body suppression to remove clear shots and punch combinations, the way evanders corner made him slippery and cooled him off with the squirt bottle alongside the clinch made him hard to pin down while delivering compact punches himself, not an excuse for ear bitting but having all your best moves like that must be frustrating.
No. Tyson was having a tough time because Buster Douglas already showed the world how to defeat Tyson: Use a stiff jab to keep him on the outside. When he tries to come in, let the straight right hand fly, and rip some hooks and uppercuts. If Tyson does get on the inside, clinch him up immediately, wait for the referee to break, then start the process all over again.
He did the same thing time after time. Head down and pushing forward and connecting with Mike’s head. If he used the gloves instead of his head. He deserved the bites.
There was also a headbutt and low blow on Mike that went unnoticed and unpunished. Mike didn't complain at all and continued fighting like nothing happened.
for those wondering why he bit him, it's because every time Holyfield got punched he hugged him to stop him from continuing, so he took the opportunity to have a snack in the meantime

I can’t imagine an Anthony Joshua or a Tyson Fury standing up to either one of these guys.
How would mike tyson or holyfield beat Fury ? The guy's 6,9, moves like a middleweight and has a chin like iron.
Holyfield would head but Tyson fury and mike Tyson biting him
@@lyrickoner
Fuck fury's height
Mike kick his ass
Iron Mike beat 6.5 fighters and above like Mitch green . Tucker and Jose
Holyfield or Tyson would have Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury washing their trunks.
Tyson's eye cut early as the crowd screams "Holyfield" Holyfield" "Holyfield"
5:36 that's the face of a man who just realized how much he fucked up
4:48 the way Mike says come on…that shows tha character of that man…he can take on bunch of Lion in the Ring…that’s the way I want to be…fearless🥊
Character??? That was a BITCH!!! Tyson was a BITCH!!!!!! He bites the man, then comes up from behind and pushes him, and you call that 'character????? What a BITCH!!!
Man 90s flights were brutal, make today's fights look like amature boxing..
Holyfield wanted to make it a dog fight so Tyson gave him the pitbull
Exactly!....Well composed
Jon Mills exactly he wanted a dark alley fight he got one he was fighting with 3 hands so he bit him and even in the clinching you could see holyfield pushing with his head
Jon Mills well evander got a dog fight i’m a bit disappointed in mike he can’t even bite it properly like a pit bull lol
😅😅 underrated comment
basically
Why i can't stop laughing when mike bit him. It's just, i dunno, really a bizzare response of trying to lashed out to holyfield
Dunno if i was that much frustrated i doubt i would go for a ear, i doubt i would even get to that idea...probably low blows or smth..
@@flipflop4396 Thats what made its so interesting lmao. Maybe i will cuss word at someone i hate or even spit at him, but hug and bit his ears? I can't imagine doing that. Really shown how unstable and wild mike are in his old days
@@knoutrrra1035 he was winning that round so far
Some things won’t easily be forgotten in history.
1. Holyfield ear 👂
2. Maradona hand of God
If we wanna talk about fight this a real champion to champion experience fight .well done

Who wouldn't be pissed if your opponent keep headbutting you and throw dirty low blows?
watch the entire fight of both fights. tyson did it just as much.

Amazed at the comments. Holyfield owned Tyson. Mike clearly was frustrated that his talent had dwindled and someone could stand up to him.

Whose here after Mike just said he has a biting fixation? 😂
What Mike did was terrible but... Evander did have a bad habit of leading with his head when going forward. Lennox Lewis also complained about it when they fought.
but Bowe never complained about it even after their trilogy
stupid excuse
Really, i didn't like his style, it's seems like a cheating.
I agree. Holyfield also hit Mike with his head on their first fight. That only happened with Holyfield, so yeah... bad habit.

Na ulicy się spotkać z którymś to byłby dramat !!!
What weight division were you fighting in?
Holyfield said it in an interview: I was headbutting him throughout the fight in the first and second matches
I would have loved to see these guys fight in 1990
The problem Tyson lost against Buster Douglas, that would´ve been his next fight against Evander.
Really you are dumb brainless to support coward Lady tyson
No it wasn’t , it was because he kept head butting him , and the ref wasn’t listening Holyfield was being dirty
Holyfield even admitted later to tyson that he (holyfield) was being an a-hole during the fight and was purposely headbutting tyson.
@@OpaGramps where did he admit that ?
can’t forget the headbutts from evander
Such a shame , this could have been a damn good fight, it started off really good except for evanders headbuts
To be honest, I coudn´t see Evander headbutting Mike on purpose!
@@barrylyndon80 BRO THIS WAS JUST WILD BACK THEN
He did the same thing time after time.
Head down and pushing forward and connecting with Mike’s head.
If he used the gloves instead of his head.
He deserved the bites.
Tyson was the one headbutting in the 1st match so... and he got the most hurt by it too
Tyson was ducking the punches it was inadvertent , also inevitable.
Mikes like keep head butting me and leaving your head there imma bite your ear off and he did 😂
There was also a headbutt and low blow on Mike that went unnoticed and unpunished. Mike didn't complain at all and continued fighting like nothing happened.

Mother fucker he bites
for those wondering why he bit him, it's because every time Holyfield got punched he hugged him to stop him from continuing, so he took the opportunity to have a snack in the meantime
And he gave the ear piece back 27 years later😍😍
I think Tyson regreats this a lot now ! He is such a cool good person that I bellieve he does !
