Lennox grew up in Kitchener, Ontario Canada. He tried to turn pro as a Canadian but Canadians wouldn't even back even an Olympic gold medal winning champ so Lennox did what was best for his career and having dual citizenship with the UK, he moved there to turn pro and get the financial backing I am ashamed to say as a Canadian, he couldn't find here. Lennox WANTED to fight and represent himself as a Canadian, but it is Canada's loss that they didn't back this great champ when he asked us.
