    I was at this fight and it was fantastic. I’ve never heard a crowd roar like that. People were going absolutely bonkers. The put footage of Klitschko’s cut man probing his cut on the Jumbotron and I got physically I’ll. What a great fight. About a year later I saw Klitschko running on Venice Beach with his trainer. I wish I had told him what a great fighter he was. I hope he doesn’t die in this war. This guy is a treasure.

    There’s no how you’ll watch Lewis fight and he’ll not impress you.
    I guess Vitali had the upper hand from the beginning but Lewis’s never giving up attitude made him to blow Vitali eyes.

      Many people say Vitali would have won if it's not been stopped but i don't. It would be easy for Lennox to avoid risks and just to jab here and there on the huge cuts repeatedly. Than it would be stopped two rounds later. This is my outcoming of it. But Lennox seems to promised Vitali a rematch and never did it. This is a minus for his legacy in my eyes.

    This fight along with the Mercer, Tua, Holyfield, Mavrovic and Bruno fights debunks the myth that Lewis had a glass jaw. He took some punishment and some good shots in the above fights.
    For someone who was dropped only twice in his career to be said to have a weak jaw while others who were knocked down or out myriad times to be considered tough is a joke that has run out of freshness.

    • @Johnballz83
      @Johnballz83 2 года назад +12

      @The Devil All The Time No one cares about him? Well someone got him into the Hall of Fame pretty quickly. Inducted into the HOF a good 8 yrs before Holyfield. Pls stop that "prime" talk. The age difference btw Holyfield and Tyson was 4 yrs with Lewis being a year older than Tyson. If the youngest of the 3 couldnt keep himself in his "prime" for long enough then thats on him. Both Lewis and Holyfield fought Tyson when they could, none of them ever ducked him or each other.
      In the Vitali fight, no doubt Lewis was getting the worse no doubt but a champion finds a way, even when out of his prime. Tyson out of his prime was getting knocked out by Danny Williams with a distinguished career of 27 losses and quitting on his ass against Mcbride.

    People in this comment section are acting as though Vitali's cut were a one-in-a-million fluke. Vitali went into this fight and chose to trade punches in the middle of the ring with one of history's hardest and most accurate punchers. He could have used more finesse, given that he was younger and in much better shape. He didn't. Lewis bashed him in the face repeatedly. He got cut. What else could anyone expect?

      @@EazyIsi The point I'm trying to make here is that Lewis drew upon his skill, courage, and massive physical gifts to find a way to win against a comparably skilled, far younger, and far better prepared opponent. There's no denying that Vitali fought with more style than Lewis in this match. But to act as though the outcome were some one-in-a-million fluke is absurd. A lucky punch can open up a small cut. But it takes a lot more than luck to make a world-class boxer like Vitali look like someone who had just survived a gruesome car crash within six rounds.

      Klitschko trying to box Brawler style cost him the fight, and could’ve cost him his eye…I hope he learned his lesson from this experience.

    8:22 that uppercut proved Vitali was one of the toughest guys ever. Also Vitali actually has not the real KO power. His KO power comes from his combinations, relentlessless, endurance, size and overall strenght. While Lennox has the real KO power. Explosive power like thing. Awsome fight, referee did it true. It would be not that good to be a champion but being unable to fight again.

      Like most fighters who have an outstanding advantage, Klitschko failed to develop real boxing skills, he just relied on his reach, size and brute strength to bludgeon his opponents from up high, I say he was some sort of a bareknuckle brawler.. That works until he meets someone who has size, power, just like him and above all, skills.

    Vitali is the best heavyweight figher since Ali. He was always much better then Wladimir. I think he is the only heavyweight fighter (of the real top stars in heavyweight boxing) who never really lost a fight. His two "losses" were a joke. He dominated Chris Byrd and "lost" just due to injury. And the "loss" vs Lennox was a complete disgrace. He dominated Lewis and outscored him on all three scorecards and it was just a question of 2 or 3 more rounds until Vitali would have knocked out a completely exhausted Lewis. Until they (thanks you to Mr Don King!) "stole" the fight due to "injury". Watch the video of this fight and see the reaction of Vitali and Lennox after the ref stopped the fight. Vitali was upset like hell and was completely fit and able to keep fighting! And Lennox was even too exhausted to stand up to celebrate his "victory". LOL What a JOKE!! All of the greatest heavyweights (Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Wladimir, Joshua) got knocked out sooner or later in their career. Not Vitali!!! Vitali was not even down with a single knee during his whole career. Never saw him shaking, not even for a single second during his whole career. Never saw any fear in his eyes!! Mentally unbelievable strong! Fist AND Chin made of steel!!!

    It shows that Vitali would have defeated Tyson as well. If Tyson would have been in his time. When the match was stopped. Viltali was leading in points ahead to Lennox. The very Lennox who had defeated Tyson. Freddie roach rightly said Vitali and Vladimir hit harder then Tyson. Freddie roach trained Tyson as well. The only thing is klitchko brothers didn't created dramas like Tyson or Ali. So that's why people consider them ordinary....
