  • Since there are ZERO videos available on how to do this repair on a 2.4L equipped vehicle, I thought I should change that.
Other videos (for 1.8 and 2.OL engines) suggest accessing the sensor from under the vehicle. Unless your arm is equipped with two elbows, don't even think about it. This is the only way for 2.4L Calibers. There is also no need to learn the new sensor. Enjoy!

Isn’t this the camshaft position sensors not the crankshaft

Thanks for this vid. It's not easy to get to but I followed your advice and got it done. Couldn't get the 13mm off so I bent the shield over and it worked. Damn engineers always make it hard to do a simple job.

Can you change the CPS on a 2012 Dodge Caliber from the top, or do you have to go under?

Hi. Can I ask you a question. In and in Australia and my 2008 dodge caliber has a bad sound. The reading is showing crankshaft and crankshaft sensor and air flow errors. Have you cone across this. 2 mechanics here dont know how to repair it.

How many crankshaft sensors are there in the AWD 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T, please? I have my car at the mechanic and they say that they need FOUR hours. Is this correct, or are they just giving themselves that much time in case it takes that long? If the sensors take only an hour each and there are only two of them, wouldn't the time be more like a two-hour job? Or are there 4 sensors to be replaced?
I'm exasperated because they say as it's a half-day job they cannot do it until May 25th, 2023. My car was towed to them on April 28th. I had an appointment for May 8th, to have spark plugs changed and fuel lines checked, as I didn't know what was wrong. Took them days to figure out it was the Crankshaft sensors.
I'm a retired woman trying to research what's wrong. I figured as the professionals they would have suggested that this was the issue with my car in the beginning. I've had my car to them three times, telling them that it was losing power on the highway going uphill. My Car finally just quit and I had to have it towed.
Can you make any suggestions? Thank you. Appreciated it.
