In extreme cases the watch could be stolen where the serial numbers would have been scratched off or re engraved or laser if the buyer of the stolen goods is careful. These watch modifiers profits from also selling the gen parts odd the watch by replace it with the after market ones set with diamond you see on this vid.

There a reason at all this watch trade shows there's tables lined with legitimate rolex dials and bezels.

Those watches started with little value. They old rolexes that have not been properly serviced, badly scratched, fake replacement parts, etc. Thats why they mostly have no boxes and papers. People who appreciate the watches will keep all of that stuff and only get it service by official factory service. They are disguising beat up rollies with gawdy ice and mediocre craftsmanship.

Rolex does not sell directly to the consumer, to buy a new Rolex you have to go to a authorized Rolex retailer and even in this case a lot of reputable retailers have waiting lists for the more popular models or models that are about to be discontinued.

To those in the comments talking about aftermarket value over time, it just depends. Drakes pink diamond Patek will go up in value over time without a doubt for example.
If I had millions, and resale isn't something I'd be considering. I would just buy the Rolex with the colours I wanted originally and not buy this product. a If I saved up to buy my first Rolex, I would possibly consider resale value as I'm not rich. Therefore I wouldn't want to pay $3,000+ to depreciate something which as a brand has always stood by being very classy.
You can keep the original rolex pieces and get custom replacmmets guys, shit can always be put back into original state, unless you modify the original pieces

My dude said they would use a razor blade to pop up the bezel!!! Hell no would I let anyone use a razor blade to remove a bezel. Rolex uses proprietary tools to remove the bezels without damaging the case or bezel.

Rolex does not sell directly to the consumer, to buy a new Rolex you have to go to a authorized Rolex retailer and even in this case a lot of reputable retailers have waiting lists for the more popular models or models that are about to be discontinued.
Adding after market diamonds reduces value because the demand for them is reduced significantly.

If I saved up to buy my first Rolex, I would possibly consider resale value as I'm not rich. Therefore I wouldn't want to pay $3,000+ to depreciate something which as a brand has always stood by being very classy.
