- We’ve ranked every current production Rolex Daytona model from worst to best. This market analysis compares each watch's retail price to its market value, revealing which models are performing the best in the pre-owned watch market. After we rank the watches on the board, we'll dive into the trends, offering insights into why certain models hold their specific value in the market.
The Daytona comes in lots of different configurations. They range from steel watches all the way to the full precious metal pieces with gem set bezels and special dials like mother-of-pearl. There are even a number of off catalogue pieces that have diamond dials and rainbow sapphire bezels that you will sometimes see us buying or selling in our other videos.
All of the prices in this video are based on the UK market for 2024 full set examples that are for sale from professional dealers. The prices were recorded on a single day in September 2024 so you should consider them a snapshot of the market which is of course subject to change.

@@Watchtrader i just assumed full yellow gold wasnt that popular. Personally for me, the full gold version of a watch is the top tier version!
The ‘Pikachu’ dial is the stand out dial in terms of market demand but of course it is very subjective.

Very interesting and I think it would also be interesting to do the same exercice with % premium above retail price. 10k above retail price is not the same for a watch costing 15k or 60k

Yes I think so a few surprises in there but expected the majority of the full gold and two tones to be towards the bottom which is the same with most other models currently I think in regards to above rrp, It does seem crazy that some precious metal pieces are cheaper than the stainless steel versions.

@@Watchtrader My opinion is unlikely to be of interest to anyone, but since I was asked. I think stainless steel sport watches specifically Daytonas are overrated. Putting them on par with precious metal watches and above two tone watches is simply ridiculous. There are exceptions to the rules, such as a rare dial. But this does not apply to the modern Daytonas with black and white dials.
And Nico say Omega makes to many different Speedmasters

A waste of time discussing.... Firstly whatever the daytona it's down to personal taste!!!! Secondly Some don't like, it at all. Fcuk the grey market values.... Buy what you like and wear it.

I think if you take most of the full gold daytonas to watch traders they will offer you retail or less to buy your watch
Interesting, not sure I understand your point but it depends on the market value of a watch as to whether you would get more or less than retail price for a watch.
You won’t be able to sell a watch to any watch dealer for the price you see them advertised for.

Where does the Rose Gold Oysterflex with Chocolate Dial come in?
There is no baguette marker with brown outlier subdial platinum daytona. I’m pretty sure only the pointer marker dial has brown outer subdial rings while the baguette dial has the subdials all blue. Also I’m actually saving for an S&G white dial daytona so glad to hear it’s more bang for buck ❤. Also I submit this comment as my resume.
The previous reference Platinum Daytona baguette diamond dial did have full ice blue sub dials. The ones in this video are the current reference and both of them have the brown counter rings. Hope you get the S&G white dial Daytona soon. Thanks for tuning in.
