      Break them short and then sharpen them. The length isn’t good when it’s so thin due to the flex. Making them Short will save you so much headache.

      It is EXTREMELY tedious and time consuming, I have so many customers wanting to act like their job should be done in a day and my response is always "I don't make promises, I'll get it done as quick as I can". I usually start my day with two boxes full of work and that's not including watches

    Using a tiny ball Fraser (ball baring) helps get the positioning right and as the initial cavity you make is smaller than the final drill with the drill bit, you have more room for error should your positioning goes tits up halfway through like it tends to do lol

    • @windhorst3187
      @windhorst3187 7 месяцев назад

      The chains are handmade already. Very tedious process. They take gold rings and then connect them like a chain and then twist them after heating so they have that angle. Then they sand/file front and back so that it's smooth. They couldn't make them ahead of time because they have to twist the metal.

    Cool process, but this is a waste of money. The diamonds are pretty much worthless when that small. The true value is the gold and the labor he's putting in to set those diamonds. The day the owner of the chain decides to resell it, they'll only give him the value of the gold and 3 to 5 percent of the value of the diamonds.

Then, they replace said valuable gold with worthless pointers thrown away by other jewelers. Last, you pay the labor for doing so (pave bench work looks good though). The end..
