There is “MUTE” option on WhatsApp. Although someone will still be able to send you messages you won’t receive notifications. However you will see those messages when you open WhatsApp but you could just ignore them. Also you can turn off the “read receipts” option so even if you open a message from muted contact, they still won’t see whether you read their message or not. 💁🏻♀️
