We hope you had as much fun watching this video as we did making it! If you'd like to check out how we built these tracks you can watch the build series here! 💡 ruclips.net/p/PLMCvRxq4QdcesumAFI1bV-liqVpgUKqjj
I've been watching from the beginning and I have enjoyed you guys mature throughout your endeavors!!! Lots of love to the both of you guys and please keep the videos coming 💗
It's absolutely incredible that you guys can simply fabricate this stuff out of thin air. =) Hard not to love the can-do attitude you both have along with the love of the little things. You're a joy to watch! More build! More snowverlander! Merry Christmas, guys!
I remember watching the video when they made these. I thought there was no way in heck that these would work and that they were wasting their time. Obviously it is Crow eating time. Time will tell if they last the season or not, but it looks likes great job so far. Kudos to you two. Every time I think there is no way they can do it, they pull the rabbit out of the hat. Love, passion, necessity and ambition all in one package. Thanks for the great content.
Cool project. I was sponsored by mattracks on a prototype setup that is now available to the general public. I want to share a couple of key pieces of information that might help you improve upon this design. The tracks will work great until about 2-3 feet of snow. You will sink down quite a bit and since it does not appear you have anti turnover brackets installed bad things can happen. You can fix this with some fabricated anti turnover brackets mounted to the vehicle frame and the track frame. Another thing to keep in mind is that snowmobile parts are not rated for full sized vehicles and have a high failure rate (bearings, bogies). This happens often at higher speeds as the bogies and bearings are under the most stress. One more thing, if you get ice that covers the tracks be careful as the sprockets can rip the drive bars right out of the tracks themselves if the vehicle is frozen to the ground. Solid framed track systems are great on soft surfaces only. Taking them over rocky terrain or offroad will destroy them almost immediately... Thanks for sharing...
I can't say enough about just how amazing you two are. Just go ahead and make your own tracks.. Now make some for the military truck. That's what I want to see !
so glad it didn't throw a track, this being the first time on a new system. That was my fear, and based on what you said, probably yours as well. May it last the winter without issues.
I stumbled on your channel looking at pole buildings......and can't quit watching. I am a mechanical engineer too and about to retire soon. You did the right thing getting out of crazy corporate America. Great design on the tracks...awesome!
The Snowverlander is most awesome. But even _more_ awesome is Courtney's attire! Maybe it is from too many years hanging out at ski resorts, but it is way yummy! Almost as awesome is reaching Courtney's upper limit for expressing herself verbally.
My dad was curious about how the tracks worked out, we all sat down and watched this video together. I don't why but we couldn't stop smiling while watching you drive the snowverlander. The skill level you two have is just absolutely amazing, I wish I had 25% of the ambition you guy's have. Keep pushing guy's
Fan-tas-tic video, guys!!!!! I love, just LOVE, how you get on with a job together! You're both incredible! Change wheels to snow tracks? No problem, Courtney's there with spacers, spanners, sheer strength and together they smash it! Guys you deserve to have such a great day. When you're driving around and folks see you how many orders do you think you'll take for the tracks??? Br hood in non-winter for muddy sites too. How have you approached the rust on the steel? Did you have it all powder coated?
Courtney, you mention onion and garlic aversion. I have Atrial Fibrillation, a dicky heartbeat, and, oddly, onion doesn't affect it, which is strange because think the two are in the same family. Like leeks, I'm OK with them Garlic, on the other hand, is terrible. My heartbeat goes crazy, I get hot, nauseous, dizzy, clammy - and those are only the good points!! Just kidding. I've had a few blue light rides after unknowingly eaten garlic. What have I found to put some taste back into my foods? Honestly, nothing so I'm sorry that I can't give you any good ideas but thought I'd tell you nonetheless. If you do get any workable ideas, will you let me know, please?? Blessings and thank you both for such great vids!
Wow, that is scary. I guess I should just be thankful my reaction is not as serious as yours! I’ll keep you posted if I find some secret flavor the world has been holding out on us! 😉
Another great episode! There are lots of RUclips channels making cool stuff but you're both so down to earth and your approach to filming and sharing your adventures is what makes this channel great. No clickbait titles or trying to create drama, it's awesome to see. Keep it up! Your "not how to" conent is always interesting too
As someone that used to work in a machine shop - the engineering that went into those tracks is absolutely amazing! So - couple Q's: - Where does Amazon deliver!? Do you have to go into town? - Do you keep the Jeep in low range the whole time? You guys are the best!
Hi Bob, thanks so much for the compliments! We have a parcel box at the local pack and ship store in town, they receive our Amazon shipments and hold them for us. We keep the Jeep in high range. The axles already have lower than stock ring and pinions in them (4.56:1) so that combined with effectively a 17" tire (drive wheel) instead of a 35" tire means that it is already geared really really low. E.G. 30mph on the speedo is 15mph in reality. It probably has a top speed of 40 mph with the tracks on.
NICE TRACKS! two things to worry about with tracks, hard on the power steering unless assisted or ad an extra cooler, and B i would add a limiting strap/chain/shock back to the frame to avoid the track flipping over while driving higher speeds.
OMG! ! ! I was laughing my ass off watching you guys play in the Snovelander! ! ! You had so much fun and I soooo want to have one of those. Great video as always. Can't wait to see how it works in really deep snow. And Courtney.... welcome to my world. I too have a anaphylaxis allergy to onions and garlic. I'm sorry to hear you too suffer the same allergy. As you know it sure makes eating out at restaurants difficult as well as buying foods. Onion and garlic are in EVERYTHING! ! ! Keep up all the wonderful videos.
All your neighbor's are going to call you to get help in the snow. You need bar lights and a new sign for the snowverlander " Ambition Snow Rescue" Excellent machine, well done.
I thought I would offer a suggestion before even finishing the video. I would consider putting up some reflective markers alongside you road. That would allow you to make sure that you can stay in the middle of your road during the night time in case of an emergency. Also, throw a cheap tarp over the Jeep to make it easier to remove the snow from it before you drive it, same thing goes for the excavator or anything else you might need to move around the property that is stored outside during a snow storm. Other than those simple suggestions, Great Job!
Hi, i'm Alex and i'm watching you guys from Berlin, Germany. We celebrate christmas on the 24th over here. So merry christmas 2 u both! Always fun and inspiring to see your entusiasm. Keep on going, plz :-)
I love your “Snow Tracks” video a lot. I’m born in the snowy parts of Germany, moved yeas ago to South Africa, purchased a 100ha farm 80km away from CapeTown in 1999 and waiting since than for snow. When I have seen your video tears started running, and running. Excellent you Two Regards Klaus
Love it. I’m a fairly new subscriber and my first impression of city slickers who couldn’t walk on packed snow to fabricators who build functional snow tracks has been an eye opening journey. Now I’m off to find videos on your track build. So freakin impressed.
Courtney and Riley ain't gettin' stranded in the wilderness this winter, fo sho! Get a winch and you'll be having folks call you to get pulled out! ;) Those tracks are SO COOL! SNOWVERLANDER is a BEAST! WOW!
I love that this mod worked! I came to this channel about the time you started building your off grid home and that's what lead me here. that being said I also look forward to your vehicle projects. I guess its the ingenuity and figuring things out I enjoy from you both. Keep up the great vids and I look forward to more!
Very entertaining watching you guys in the snowlander ...you have to be proud of yourselves ...the living area is coming along ..did you see my comment about digging an inspection pig in the shop before you get the concrete poor...they are a great asset.Merry Christmas to you both from not so chilly England.
As a guy who lived in snowy areas until I was 32... I love your snow mobile Cherokee idea. Good job. This is also my 6 year's old daughter's favorite channel.
The lithium jump packs are incredible. I got one and was sceptical because they just look too small to be able to jump start big engines but man are they awesome!
That was unbelievably amazing I cannot believe you did not get stuck anywhere. The fact that I actually watched you from the very beginning to build and figure out how to make those tracks and that they work is fabulous fantastic unbelievable awesome👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Congrats on a successful test of the Snowverlander. It looks like your prototype works very well. That does not often happen when people first design and build something. I am very impressed! BTW, I think your left rear running light is burned out. The brake light was working but the running light was not lit even though the right rear was.
That vehicle will go with those tracks on it . That was awesome and you all were having fun with it and videoing this for us, " Thank You " . I will see you all later and you all be careful and stay safe and keep on making us more videos . As always, Jeffrey !!!

So far, all ur videos i seen has be fun, and joyful to watch. So, just keep doing what your doing, and we'll watch haha. them snow tracks tho, is new, looked fun driving with them. When u both was like u drive, no u drive, I'm like give me the keys, I'll drive haha. You could prob make and sell them. Any who, Merry Christmas.
Am so happy for you both I can only imagine how proud your parents are for you I get stoked ( new word did I spell it right ) when my son does things he is 35 I am 69 so I can only imagine just go for it you don't look back just go
Congratulations!!!!! It is always great when a creation from scratch works as hoped. You guys did a great job. Plus the outfits are a WIN!!!!!!! Let’s hope for continued success
So much fun to ride along with you guys on all your adventures! I'm more partial to 'build' stuff but everything you guys get up to has a component of creation, so just keep it comin' ❤
A quick word of advice. Tracks put a lot of load on the power steering system. So it's a good idea to fit a cooler, or you risk boiling your power steering fluid.
That’s really impressive and looked like a lot of fun there on fresh dry snow. I have a feeling that you may need to pitch the front rollers up to curv the tracks up at the front to cope well with deep heavy snow, or on snow with a breakable crust. This in order to constantly pitch the tracks up to the surface. It would also be safer over under-snow obstacles - just a thought. Making the front rollers adjustable might not be so difficult - not for you guys anyway! Great stuff, really enjoyed that win.
Absolutely awesome it all worked. I would caution you about letting the snow get too deep all the way down the driveway until you have tested the tracks in it. Maybe use the snow plow and keep the known trouble areas clean. I would hate to see you get stuck and no way down the mountain.
This was so much fun watching you guys ride around. Your smiles were priceless. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄 Peace, love and joy to you guys. Be safe!😘🤗❄️🇻🇪
We hope you had as much fun watching this video as we did making it! If you'd like to check out how we built these tracks you can watch the build series here!

You should consider making them for others..if you haven't already.
Will you be selling the dxf files?
I have the same question as Robert. Would you be willing to sell the dxf files?
Great job now you’ll need hydraulic assist steering and a power steering cooler or you will cook the steering .
It's absolutely incredible that you guys can simply fabricate this stuff out of thin air. =) Hard not to love the can-do attitude you both have along with the love of the little things. You're a joy to watch! More build! More snowverlander! Merry Christmas, guys!

Just phenomenal - I’m so impressed with Riley’s design and fabrication skills - you guys are so cool 😎 Soon blowing the lid off RUclips 😊❤️‼️

This in order to constantly pitch the tracks up to the surface. It would also be safer over under-snow obstacles - just a thought. Making the front rollers adjustable might not be so difficult - not for you guys anyway! Great stuff, really enjoyed that win.
Be proud of this one! These are awesome
That was Amazing 👌 well done guys , anything you put out is always quality to watch 👏👏👏
