darn you! re-watched 3 times! Saw nothing obvious! ;) --- I did see red paint lines on the gravel but otherwise nada! and you were moving that floor cleaner! Guess I will see when others do :) ---- o0o maybe a timeout corner cage for Riley if he messes up the new shop :)
That storage system is awesome! I really hope that my wife does not see it, because she would order one for our garage and get rid of my garage organization. You just need to put labels on each cabinet to find stuff.
For those complaining about this last video being an informercial I got this off the internet. “Production of a long form infomercial (28.5 minutes) will cost between $175,000 to $450,000 on average,” said one website. Another said: “Most infomercials cost somewhere between about $25,000 and $250,000 to produce.” Cortney and Riley do this every week! Even if Levrack gave them the rack system and table for free (Guesstimated cost 15K). Levrack came out ahead sponsoring Ambition Strikes if they can use this as advertising. If Cortney and Riley got paid on top of that, more power to them. This is their life so quit criticizing. I, for one, admire what they are doing so if they have sponsors to help defray costs, I am sure they work very hard to get them. Consider this their job and remember the clever little teaser at the end of the video is meant to get you watch the next video. I know I’ll be watching next week no matter what they post.
Decking out, finishing touches, organizing, "prettying it up" , whatever you want to call doing to your place is one of the most enjoyable, slightly frustrating jobs there is. I am a compulsive re-organizer so I would be in heaven with that storage system.
On another note, you guys are a perfect example of a couple that gives and takes 50/50. The way you work out the differences says a lot about your dedication to the family unit. I think we can all learn from you guys. I myself think that my wife and I are also 50/50 but I am still the boss in the end...LOL. I had to throw that in.....She does the money stuff so really, I think she's the boss...hahaha
@AmbitionStrikes we're glad you liked the kick plate we made you! The shop is looking great, we are elated to be a part of it! You guys are awesome! ❤😊
Nice to see Courtney & Riley working together again! How cool to have such a wonderful organizational system. Oliver has grown so much! He is adorable!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Coming into a clean and tidy shop makes doing projects so much easier, because you aren't fighting for space and having to move dozens of things to get at what you need. Another great video guys 👍
@@AmbitionStrikes I get the same feeling when I look around my place, 2 years ago my girlfriend and I built a shop, had a baby, and we’ve been working towards our dream of having our own excavating business for the past 2 year. It’s truly incredible how far we’ve come. I’m glad we’ve documented most of it on our channel, it’s incredible to look back and remind ourselves of how far we’ve come
I vote freakishly clean. Or that clean not be considered freakish if one person likes it and is willing to do the work. I am 69 and stopped trying to blame messy people but to spend any such thoughts and efforts at doing the cleaning myself instead. It is a game changer attitude wise. The blame game is a death of one's spirit game and that is never a game ! Thanks you two. You are so awesome and your abundant progress and ambition proves it !
Deb and I absolutely loved seeing Courtney back for more than a cameo! Probably the thing we love about your channel is your team work. You two are amazing together. You complete each other. Love love the levrack. Cool addition to the shop. Great thinking on using the rack itself as scaffolding. Looking forward to next week. Now we've watched your video we can have coffee!
Thank you for the video, the shop looks amazing! There was a study not long ago that was made in building sites about work efficiency. The result of the study was that about 80% of the effective work time goes to just searching for tools. I see this at work too, everytime I want to do something, first I need to find the tools that others have left who knows where. Having an organized shop is key to efficient work and I am sure that the upgrades you've now done will help in working much faster and getting more done, leaving more time for the best in life which is family.
Im the clean freak in our relationship.. Saw a board sweep it up, saw another board sweep it up ..My incredible wife will wait until shes knee deep. And she wants to keep everything and not get rid of useless stuff. The struggle is real😅
Wow, I am really impressed with you guys with how far and the thing you have accomplished, I'm kind of getting ready to retire and go back to my Island home of 27 acres and do an off-grid Home there, You both have given My Wife and me plenty of ideas of how to go about it,
Much rather see content about doing stuff on a budget than doing things with really expensive stuff you get discounted or free that the average person can't afford. One of the reasons I stopped watching April Wilkerson. Her videos turned into one giant commercial for stuff most people can't afford. Keep it real.
That storage system is slick! Those sliding shelves are way nicer that full depth pallet racking where things get lost towards the back. Excellent job, enjoy the organized shop!
Watching you lift the heavy table top my wife and I at the same time, “YOU HAVE A FORK TRUCK” or at least a skid steer with forks. My wife reminds me all the time that we have machinery to work smarter and not harder. Love your Content and your Journey, good to see the baby also.
👌With a workshop so well organized and equipped with every possible tool or utensil, the imagination is free to express itself without brakes. I can't wait to be amazed with your incredible creations again.👍👏
Wow That’s a next level rack system! And you still have tons of shelf space open 👍 Buying quality means Oliver will be using when he’s 30. The garage door is still what I want to get.
Everyone and anyone would want that shop to create in. I just love the decal that you made. It is so hard to keep your shop clean when working in it. Having the space to store is the most important part. Be well and safe.
Hey Courtney, take it from a 6'5" person who also likes to build stuff but spends a ton of time in front of a computer as my day job...don't underestimate the importance of getting a really good, ergonomic chair that fits your body and avoid slouching at all costs, as well as proper positioning of your keyboard & mouse so your wrists are in a neutral position. Ignoring such ergonomic concerns will never seem like an issue until it suddenly is, causing havoc with lower back pain and/or wrist issues. Also, I firmly believe working with your legs crossed can exacerbate the issue, as I often have done in my past, as it misaligns your lower spine over long periods of time. I only mention all of this because of the way I saw you sitting and working around t=14:04 thru 14:20, sitting very low, slouching, with your arms and hands wresting at the keyboard and mouse in a very unergonomic position, and crossing your legs as you moved between your computer and your cutter. Let's just say, these aspects of your body position looked familiar, and I speak from experience when I say that these ergonomic missteps are cumulative, and will come back to haunt you, especially with your height.
Fantastic! You two are so productive by nature, and now with the higher degree of organization to your tools and supplies, it is hard to imagine what all you will be doing in the future. Well done! Oliver has a wonderful smile, too. Happy building.
That new Rack look awesome.Glad to see that Courtney & Riley are working together again. This channel was built by both of you.One Suggestion. You should have a way for us to ask Question about things that were said on past video's.Like, your Solar power where you store it in that shipping container?Has it worked the way you thought?
Somewhat off topic, but I'd say the time has come to hit the shop door with some satin clearcoat. The patina is pretty even and pretty much no chamce of structural compromise so sealing ut up is probably the move at this point.
Smart move putting tape on the hole for lineup.. a number of times I have tried to build racks on my own then found I was one row out… lol. Looks fantastic guys
I've watched 3 or 4 of your videos now. Very cool watching you guys grow together and learning to build things. Keep up the great content! Oliver is certainly a cute addition to your team!
Quick tip.. Get a rolling toolbox for your welding cart. There are companies that build brackets that'll bolt on the end of the box and provide your large wheels with tank mounts as well as tig filler rod storage, etc.. Now you would have all your consumables right where you are working, as well as drawers for welding hoods, aprons, gloves, etc..
What a great addition to the shop. It looks like there’s a lot of vinyl signage in your future 😂😂. It’s always fun to see what you guys are up to. Great video!
Soo good Courtney to see you back on the tools helping Riley, they look soo good, and the way they slide Niicce!! Thanks fro the video Love from UK x x x
Courtney & Riley, Wow! What a dream shop with all the trick shelving and drawers. It makes the shop so organized. Several thousands of dollars in hardware. Big thanks to Levrack. Lets build something!😁
1.. Paint that big rusted door on shop? 2..Work on something with the new shop table. 3.. Milling wood for a new section in the shop?? Nice rack.A game changer!
When I store stuff in containers I try to get the clear ones with flat sturdy tops so you can stack them. The clear helps me find what I'm looking for along with Dymo stick on labels on the same place on each side and the lid. That way no matter which way I put it back in the stack I'm looking at a label. If it is on the floor with the lid on the label tells me what is in the bin.
I got to tell ya, I didn't expect much out of this video. Just some bigger shelves. But that Levrack blew me away. The functionality and organization of the system is something I have never seen before. Very Cool!!
Riley I don’t know how you landed that lovely lady, but well done son. I wonder if little Oliver knows yet what a great mom he has and what a wonderful childhood he’s going to have 😊
I loved the old racks, it's honestly what I plan on doing in my garage. But that LevRack setup looks AWESOME! Checked out their site and boy you weren't kidding on the prices, hot dang. Killer setup but for my personal use that'd be a super hard one to justify. Looks killer though, definitely fits that shop space and all your guys gear really nicely
I'd bet that most of Levrack sales are to government agencies with unlimited budgets. Most people just get by with what they can afford even if it is inconvenient.
We always said we were going to design and build a nice storage system, and we never got around to it. When we ran our off-road shop we "outgrew" our first 1,000sq ft shop after a year and thought we had to size up to keep being productive. We ended up paying double the rent for a slightly larger shop. Had we instead invested in a system like this, I think we could have very comfortably stayed in the smaller shop AND been more productive.
I was a little surprised by this weeks episode. I figured with the big bucks being spent on the excavator rental it would be more road building. But since the episodes aren't done in real time Riley and Courtney did this out of order. This system looks awesome. It could even make me organized. Well, maybe.
Glad to see Oliver out putting in his 2 Sense on the job awesome storage ideas also when you going give us an update on your New water system I'm interested in seeing how it works for you might be in the market to purchase one but like to hear from a proven source like yourself
Consider putting a timer on the charger strip to run an hr a day to top them off instead of running continuously then just switch the bar to the free plug during high use project days. All the best!
Great idea in the new shop. Itll make new projects fun and organized. Lastly your little guy is precious Courtney. You two are going to be awesome parents. See you next week 😊
Well Riley you proved to be quiet a handy man With your mate and the Baby make a good team I enjoy watching as you are creative and will tackle most things I’m proud of you and the missus ,,,,And I hope you enjoy your future projects in a safe manor ,very nice shelf look after it stay safe cheers from Australia 🦘🇦🇺👍❤️🙏🔥
Organization is so difficult. But so gratifying when it's done. Isn't it interesting, all the cool stuff you find that you don't remember buying, thought you lost, or have no idea where it came from? Now you have to find the proper place for it. It's "forever home"...
In my experience that table is one of the Most useful pieces in a work shop, the problem with me was (I'm retired) It too easily become storage instead of a work space. Your baby boy has already grown so much, he's going to be a big help sooner than you can believe.
It is so nice to the Riley learn how to work SMART and not place himself in extreme precarious positions. I bet Court and Little Ollie will so appreciate this as well. Good on you RIley!!! It is better than AI progression.
How wonderful is your space, all organized and nicely done...open area to work with and most of all loving your adorable baby...so so cute ❤ a little of both of you around him...🎉 ... also a very special moment for you as parents....a very loving mama’s face also💝💯
Labels on that giant black tool box. It might look goofy but it saves you opening three different drawers to find things. It doesn't have to be every drawer, just enough 'sign posts' to set a rhythm.
Any guesses on what our first project in the finished shop is going to be?
darn you! re-watched 3 times! Saw nothing obvious! ;) --- I did see red paint lines on the gravel but otherwise nada! and you were moving that floor cleaner! Guess I will see when others do :) ---- o0o maybe a timeout corner cage for Riley if he messes up the new shop :)
Possibly fabricating something to fix that hole around the stovepipe?
Not a clue...I'll just have to wait. I don't really need fingernails, right?
That storage system is awesome! I really hope that my wife does not see it, because she would order one for our garage and get rid of my garage organization. You just need to put labels on each cabinet to find stuff.
Some kind of hoist on beams & rollers moubted above?
