It means so much to me to hear everyone being so sweet to Marc, having listened to him all these years. He really does not know how many people he has helped. Or how much we need him right now.
His vulnerability is beautiful. I wish I could give him a hug.
Maron might not have been intending it, but he has helped countless artists in so many ways
how? To have a comedy career without being ever funny??
"She made me believe in myself" love this and loooove Marc 😍
Tears
Marc deserves all his success. Talk about an arc.
I was in a bookstore once and picked up Maron's book, "Attempting Normal." I opened it up to a chapter about the feral cats he rescued - not realizing that they were feral - that is one of the funniest things I've ever read. I was laughing so hard I was crying. When someone's humor comes from experience and even pain, it is sometimes even funnier. He seems like a really sweet guy, and I'm sorry he lost the love of his life.
His stuff has always helped me. His comedy, a lot of his podcast episodes...freaking Glow, man. Big fan.
Marc is a genuine person and I've always appreciated that about him.
I’ve never heard of this man before… I just watched this whole video… And I am now a fan.😊❤
Listen to his WTF Podcast!!! He is one of the OG's of hthe medium and not only is funny, Marc can unarm guests and get them talking more openly about themselves than anyone out there. It is one of his greatest talents. Plus who else gets a President of the USA, Keith Richards, Mel Brooks on a podcast and talking about themselves openly for over an hour uninterupted. It's truly amazing, and yes he never misses his promise of a new episode each Monday & Thursday.
Turns out he's such a terrific actor too. Been a fan for a while. Loved his stand up. A few years ago really fell in love with his work on GLOW. But in To Leslie he got me all teary-eyed.
She was his person. Grief is not a one and done thing like people think. In my experience people are afraid to face loss, your loss brings it one step closer to mortality, their loved ones, their own.
I think it's something people avoid and are in denial about because it's not really something you want to get better at. Dealing with people leaving forever... not a skillset people are eager to work on.
So nice to see Bob Saget come back to life to take this interview from Marc..
Maron is one of those entertainers who has gone through many lifetimes in just one - yet, remains cool and a teddy bear with issues.
I think Marc Maron is totally entertaining, love his podcasts and want to see him in more movies.
I thoroughly enjoy his podcast I find his journey and story pretty interesting. He looks so great at 59, you go Marc!!
Me too. I never miss it!
Maron is a legend
been a fan since 2010 ❤️ you Marc
Maron has always been compelling to me. I would like to take a moment to point out that Anthony Mason (the interview) is an amazing interviewer. I would watch/listen to any long form podcast he put out there!
Marc is a good human, a great comedian and a amazing podcaster!
Great interview Mr Mason
Nothing is ever gonna get better ever again. (Agree.)
The CBS crew gets Maron
"A recovering addict now 23 years sober, Maron has never kicked his addiction to standup."
Pulitzer Prize winning writing right here
WTG Marc.. he was great on Howard Stern too!
He’s one of the best…
Our hero.
Marc Maron is the funniest comedian I've seen in a long time.
wow
Wow, thoughtfully unapologetically honest! I'm inspired.
Do they not know Marc Maron was a big deal before his podcast?
He wasn't tho
I hope they gave him a heads up that they're going to play that recording in this.
Mr Mason at his best.
I was watching his newest special, and it reminded me a lot of the cynicism that Carlin brought to his specials later in life. Now, I'm not comparing Maron to Carlin, as there'll never be another Carlin, but it very much did capture this essence of how you can make something so incredibly f'ed up also be hilarious from a different perspective.
Huge fan!
Holy crap i was wondering if cancer ever killed anyone that didn't know they had it and his gf died from undiagnosed blood cancer. I have so many more questions to Google now
Maron!
your welcome for the material.

WASUP MARK..!!!???
I love Marc. It hurts me to see him age as I’ve been watching him since the early 90’s. But I also don’t like some cable news 8 minute package trying to decipher his entire life.
Nice piece! Boomer Lives!!
Boomer
I like Mark Maron but I couldn’t get into his special. It was like watching a filmed anxiety attack.

What are you, 10?
@@isabellaangeline2175 That’s the level of maturity you need to have to take Joe Rogan seriously. 10 year old maturity.
