So wonderful to see Marc Maron tonight, I’ve been a fan for ten years plus. The guy is the real deal, vulnerabilities and all. He’s felt like a friend to me. I am a Canadian, and CBC radio is the king up here, so I have always loved the intimacy of radio. Marc Maron does that so beautifully.
He bought property up here and is planning to retire in Canada.

This was like observing two friends having a great conversation--so genuine and relaxed, love it! I really liked him in Glow, so wish there was a final season to wrap up all the characters' stories.
I wish they'd done a final season as well! Marc suggested at least a movie or something to wrap it, but so far nothing. It totally sucks, because season 3 was going to be big.

No it's wasn't, stop it. This was a normal late night interview. Jimmy was in talk show mode and asked the agreed upon questions via his producer.

Marc is the guy. Love the guy. That guy that knows and has lived so much, that you will only have enough air-time for one question.

I never heard of Marc Maron, but I do remember Mac Davis and Brooke Shields, and Debra Wing. Winger and Shields were younger than me. Debra Winger's parents Ruth and Bob lived across the street from my brother in the late 1970s and 1980s and I met Debra when she was still married to her first husband Timothy Hutton. How time flies Debra is 67 now but then I am 76 now LOL.
Amazing! Love Maron! Just saw him last week at town hall for his hbo special taping. Amazing! And loved the film To Leslie. So moving and wonderful. He is so talented and such range! Everyone should see this movie. He was also amazing in almost famous, sword of trust, respect, GLOW, easy (tv show), his Maron show.
Love the comment about Bringing out the big guns from back in the day! Love Deborah Winger and will never forget her in “Terms of Endearment” what a brilliant movie!

He's the ultimate talk show guest. Just turn on the camera and he goes.
I always think I'm going to like hearing him, but it always ends up feels like just a massive celebrity-obsessed yakker with little substance and a very thin veneer of attempted gravitas and relevance that never goes anywhere. He's never more than a chuckle, and his schtick always ends up feeling like wasted time. I OD'ed on his name-dropping self-indulgent podcasts a few years back

Marc: little fast. Lozenges? Really good coffee? Glad to see acting.
I saw him in Bend, OR, recently and loved him. Unfortunately, there were some rude hecklers that were disruptive to Marc and to the audience sitting around them. Luckily, they left (and people clapped). After that, we were all able to really enjoy the show. I doubt he will come back to Bend! 😢

His calling is interviewing people. But I dont find him funny. OK actor, but some of the interview are great. He draw it out of his guests. The Neil Young interview for example. He let them talk ( usually). Unlike Joe Rogan. Anyone important eventually ends up on WTF. Some celebrities have no thoughts and nothing to say, so it's variable. Not Marc fault.
