Dear Kevin, you can show your ppt and the chat at the same Time on the pc screen by sharing the desktop and making the ppt slide show set up to individual window. I use it in teaching.
I wonder why it is so difficult for Microsoft or Google to copy some of the features from Zoom and allow the host to share and still see all the participants, not only their comments but the actual video of each one on a scroll mode in case there are many. This is a must for many of us teachers.

Before you put it into slideshow mode, go up to the ribbon in Powerpoint AND click "set up slideshow" and select the radio button for "browsed by an individual (window)" instead of the default full screen option, then click OK. now when you put your PowerPoint into slideshow mode, it will open in its own window which is completely resizable and movable, so you could easily move it over to the side and still be able to see the team chat and attendee panels while still displaying your PowerPoint in presentation mode to your audience. ☺️

Hi Kevin you can just avoid all this by using two screens. Then at presenting you just swap left the presentation and on the left, you keep teams open. Hit the like for him to see it :)
I didn't know about this. Great idea. Alternatively, I use application view, opted for windowed view on my PowerPoint so when I begin the slideshow, I can adjust its size so it doesn't fill the whole of my screen. The audience just see the PP (as per application view) on their screen but I can see both the PP and chat to the right, within mine.
I'll add screen casting to my list of videos. For this, I didn't screen cast. Instead, I screen recorded my iPhone and then synced the audio with my main video in my editing software. This ensures the best picture quality for the iPhone video.
This channel is very helpful. Especially I am new with Microsoft Teams and we use it to conduct online classes. Thank you so much sir Kevin for the information.
Hi Kevin, great tip! And really well presented. I'm going to check out your other videos now. The audience feel a bit more connected with you when they get your answers, and it breaks things up. The key is to inform people you'll do this and stop every 8-10 minutes or so, and have a slide that shows 'Questions'. Then interrupting your presentation and taking questions is a controlled and planned approach. Thanks again!
This is exactly what I do! I deliver some content using my ppt slides for about 5 mins, then come out of slide share completely and ask for insights/reflections/questions. When I am presenting the content via slides I turn my camera off so the learners can focus on the great visuals and my voice. I think this 'mixing up' approach works well and can actually boost engagement. A bit fiddly for the presenter but you get used to it after a few sessions!

I have one that I really like, but I won't link it here - 'cause that ain't cool! I was really hoping this was going to show us how to see chat AND hand raises at the same time. I teach, and my chats have been very busy so far, so I don't want to close them. How am I to see the hand raises/participants list at the same time? It's too much to watch both of my screens, and my phone all at once :)
Does anyone know if you can have two organizers/presenters/administrators in the case of teachers that co-teach the same classes just on different days?
Hey Kevin, thanks for everything you're doing! I have another challenge tho, don't know if you addressed this before, still diggin': for interactive online trainings, it would be great if participants would have the option to view whatever the trainer is presenting (Powerpoint...) on half of the screen, and the other participants' cameras on the other half. Would that be possible with what Teams is offering right now? Also, can the presenter's camera be enlarged at choice? Thanks!
Thanks for these tips. I am a trainer and I've been using a second monitor - one to see my presentation and the other to switch between the Chat box and Participant list. I would love to see the videos of participants (they have their videos on) yet it seems I can only see the video of 2 people max below the PPT. For others I just see their initials in a circle, even though I have 'large gallery view' selected. How do I get to see everyone's videos below the PPT? (I am logged into both monitors using the same account by the way). I'm wondering... do I have to set up 2 accounts and be logged in using 2 separate accounts - 1 on each monitor? Thanks
Nice content man! Btw, I would like to ask what's your monitor model? Seems like a good material for your video on whats the best Wide screen monitor for developers.
Your videos are the easiest to follow for me. I love how you showed how to upload a file inside of a Teams meeting window, so that I can see my students while viewing the file. Is there a way to do the same thing with a web browser? I'd love to be able to play a RUclips video inside of a Teams meeting rather than have to share my web browser and not be able to see my students at the same time without toggling back and forth.
Kevin, Just wondered if you could help on something. When I want to share a power point presentation it only shows in the window section ( your video @ 1.29) and not on the power point section. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I log in with my phone to do the audio because my laptop has some problem processing incomming (ie microphone) sound. This has the unintended advantage of seeing what the students see on the phone. Good video.

Hi Kevin, do you need a Microsoft business account to access this ability? I was told I couldn’t do that with my Office 365 family subscription. Thank you for your help
I was doing this, but if I was trying to play a video, I would start getting messages on the chat on my phone saying that they couldn't hear the video or me anymore, and then I would find out I was disconnected. I found out from asking, that Teams doesn't work well when logged in to more than one device and it would disconnect on me constantly. Had this happen easily 15-20 times.
Using your cellphone as a second device is really useful. I want to use the microphone on my phone as the sound quality is better but I want to view the shared content on my monitor. I keep getting the echo even after muting from my laptop. What am I missing?
Question. Why does not DWG files show up when you search in the top search bar at a Sharepoint site. It's almost as Sharepoint doesn't consider DWG to be a file format.
DWG seems like it should be common enough that Microsoft Search should handle it properly. Feel free to submit feedback here: sharepoint.uservoice.com/
Great video! During remote learning I use my iPad next to my computer screen so I can have a few screens going. Teams on the laptop and email & Teams chat on the iPad.
Dear Kevin, Please kindly do one or more videos on MS Teams login errors. I can't access my teams desktop app. The login screen loops for several minutes saying 1. You are missing out! Ask your admin to enable MS Teams. 2. We are currently switching you to your other account. 3. You don't have access to the abc org in Teams. Select another org or contact your admin for more details. I tried many RUclips videos to fix it but still can't login through the desktop app. I can only login through a browser on the same pc. Thank you for all your videos. I have learned so much. Am your fan. God bless your good heart to impact knowledge.
Hi there! I had a question for you not related to this but... is there a specific recommendation for using Team meeting links for long term use? My school is recommending we use the same meeting link for live lessons for weeks on end. In trainings, we were told to change daily.... any advice?
Hello Kevin, thank you for the class. Today the problem I had when working as moderator is that I could not see the chat, neither 10 other attendees, only the facilitator of the meeting, do you know the reason and solution? When we went into break out rooms, we didn't have that problem. I could see 1) the chat, 2) the participants, but not in the main meeting. Appreciative for your help
I didn't understand how you moved the ppt to half the screen. I use .docs every time I use Teams and this would help me tons if I could open/use chat on the side of it. When I try this, it just shows one half of my desktop. Can you go into detail of how to do this please? And/or how to "toggle" into chat or Teams, as you described? And/or explain how to open your phone chat on the screen? Thank you!!
Hi, I love the easy way to explain, I have a problem I don’t know if you can help, when sharing my screen the audio didn’t share as well and when it does you can hear the audio but there is no image the only thing they see is a black screen and the mouse but nothing else, for me is important to be able to show videos, I’m a teacher and I work with little kids virtually and a lot of the material has videos with audio, can you help?
Awesome! How do I disable or "mute" chats while I'm in class? Not sure if I really want this but while I'm talking/presenting I don't want a gazillion outside notification chats.
Uploading the presentation works fine and allows me to see the chat column, but this presentation mode does not allow me to have a pointer? None of the normal shortcuts work and I don't seem to have any possibility to annotate or point in the presentation?
I don't have Powerpoint sharing option on my Teams. I only can share using either desktop or windows . The other way I only can share my contents is by keeping the content open beforehand. I'm also not able to change to presenter view by any of the methods that you suggested. Could advise on this please. Many thanks in adcvance.
Is there a way to see the participants pictures on your phone/iPad while presenting on your desktop? I would be logged into the same meeting on two devices.
Thank you for all your helpful insight into Teams. I watched another One of your videos on using the PowerPoint view Option in the share tray Instead of desktop Or window view to present, you touched on that option a bit here too. This format to share is great for allowing me to see students while presenting but I can’t seem to play any of the music that is linked into the PowerPoint from this option. Is there a trick to getting the music to play when presenting using the PowerPoint option in the share tray? Thank you
Hi Kevin, I have a question, what can I do to make a full screen on iOS while the presenter is sharing a PPT? I can do it on Android, while someone is presenting a PPT in all the screen. Hi Kevin awesome tutorials. You mentioned using dual monitors to present and use Teams chat/hands at the same time. How is that achieved? Also how do I insert myself into my presentations using green screen or PIP while presenting? Thanks so much for your help.
The Team latest update does not allow the full screen mode of screen share (attendee’s view) of the presenter. Although the focus mode, gives much coverage of the screen but it was better viewable in full screen mode which is not available right now. Any help!!!
Nice tip. However, I really wish Microsoft would simply add this functionality to Teams. Platforms like Zoom and Webex have this feature already. It's so obvious to add!
nice Kevin ; I actually use the same approach by using the phone as a camera while the laptop is just using for my viewing purpose. You can try this next time if you want to set your phone as a camera with better angle and even better image quality
We're told specifically not to use our own personal devices for joining meetings or doing anything for school. How could I do this with a second monitor, if I chose to purchase a small tv/monitor?

Using your cellphone as a second device is really useful. I want to use the microphone on my phone as the sound quality is better but I want to view the shared content on my monitor. I keep getting the echo even after muting from my laptop. What am I missing?
what app are you using to show your mobile screen on pc?
I will definitely definitely use this trick thank you very much
Dear Kevin,
Please kindly do one or more videos on MS Teams login errors.
I can't access my teams desktop app.
The login screen loops for several minutes saying
Kevin
Is there a way to shut off the Chat feature on only certain people in your organization??
Hi there! I had a question for you not related to this but... is there a specific recommendation for using Team meeting links for long term use? My school is recommending we use the same meeting link for live lessons for weeks on end. In trainings, we were told to change daily.... any advice?
Another great video, Kevin. Can you do a video on Canva?
What if you are working off a laptop - and not a desktop, do these options apply?. Also how do you calibrate your phone so it is showing Teams?
Sir how can we block the background sound and the teacher should hear my voice clearly. In Microsoft Teams while in a meeting
Use Krisp
Is there a way to see the participants pictures on your phone/iPad while presenting on your desktop? I would be logged into the same meeting on two devices.
Thank you for all your helpful insight into Teams. I watched another One of your videos on using the PowerPoint view Option in the share tray Instead of desktop Or window view to present, you touched on that option a bit here too. This format to share is great for allowing me to see students while presenting but I can’t seem to play any of the music that is linked into the PowerPoint from this option. Is there a trick to getting the music to play when presenting using the PowerPoint option in the share tray? Thank you
Have you tried ticking the box that’s says something like use computer audio? It appears when you go to share options.
Hi kevin doing it from a long time 😎
Its possible to see notification while ppt presentation mode...???
You're the best bro thank you.
can we share google slides with Peardeck on Microsoft Teams?
How to also see ourself video when sharing desktop screen?
if we also login to mobile phone, our video dont show up
Which sharing mode shall i use if i want to update a shared document live during a Teams meeting with colleagues?
Either desktop or window sharing works for this. Window gives you a bit more privacy since participants can't see everything on your desktop.
Yes, it helps. Thanks so much.
Hi Kevin,
I have a question, what can I do to make a full screen on iOS while the presenter is sharing a PPT?
I can do it on Android, while someone is presenting a PPT in all the screen.
All the guests appears in a small screen (mine included) and I hit any guest square and then I hit
my small screen where is my video transmiting and then I see the option to PIN my screen and then change to full screen.
Unfortunately, on iOS I do every thoses steps but when I hit PIN, it doesn't work.
¿Is there anythig else that I have to do different?
Hi Kevin! I really appreciate your videos! Thank you so much!
Much like he has mentioned in this video I use my iPad as the Whiteboard while I am presenting on my Mac.
@@granttemple Thank you! that is interesting!! I have a surface book - so tablet and laptop as one. so i need to find a different solution. but thank you!
Any help!!!
You inspiration youtuber.
Can you set up a microsoft team meeting in a way that students only see the presenter and the student won't be able to see each others?
But won't you get that feedback sound you get when you try to have a Teams call on two computers at once?
I see this has been asked and answered. Thanks.
