I like the pace and the flow of your videos and that I can go directly to a chapter if I want. Great production! I hardly subscribe to any channels but yours is so useful I subscribed. Good luck to you!
One useful feature in a meeting is.. the names of people who are speaking appears in bold font in the participant list.. this comes handy when someone with noisy background forgets to mute .. you can scroll through the list and look at bold names to identify the lines with audio coming in and mute if needed. (You can also look at mute icon... but sometimes people may be using mute function from their headset or external audio device instead of using mute function of Teams, and muting them in Teams may cause confusion as they may not be able to unmute as they expected to later). It will be very useful if Teams could sort the participant list according to last speaking so that we can always see the latest speaking (or noisy lines) people names on top.
Hi Kev I wanted to thank you for all your tutorials ! I went back to when you started these ,each day I watch them. I'm learning so much .I feel like I'm taking free classes ,except I'm learning more than what they would teach in a paid classroom !Your video tutorials are well explained and ...well your just awesome! Thank you again and keep them coming !
Every day a video with quality content... best informative channel on YT. I've already learned a lot from your videos, thanks! You're doing a great job!
Just wanted to let you know that your channel is awesome. I work for a very large organization and we have a dedicated team that supports MS Teams, but I find your videos to be more helpful than most of the training they’ve put out. Keep up the great work!
We just had some Teams Training yesterday as we are early adopters in our organisation. Not everything is available to us yet as they are rolling things out in stages but there are pretty cool features. A good one I picked up was how powerful typing / in the search bar at the top of teams is and also how to quickly send a message to multiple people that you contact regularly.
Excited to have an in-depth video on planner. Learned that it’s less functional in action if the team was created NOT based on a ms group (that’s a tricky topic and really important!). People do not get email reminders for planner tasks, if there is no backend ms group and you can’t add the group later either?!...notifications are needed on the planner tab or something...maybe there are other ways to get notifications in planner? We have people outside the org (guests) on teams too...so would like to learn more about notifications in planner and teams!
Hey Kevin, I'm a big fan of your video tutorials. They are beautifully made and very crisp. I was wondering if you could make a video on some of the best 3rd party apps within teams especially related to education and student assessment. It would be a big help, thanks.
Adding one more tip. You can have panelist turn on videos, put everyone in the theatre mode seats, share your screen, and everyone sees the same people and all panelists can interact! We also use for group photos and take screen shots. This is great for retirement and end of conference photos!
major flaw: Teams invites DO NOT say the timezone on the invite. This is a major error that MS needs to fix. it tries to guess my time zone but gets it wrong, and I have no way to know its wrong. the only work around is if the meeting host will type out the time and timezone of the meeting and put it in the text of the email.
Consider my mind BLOWN!!! I am an EA that has worked in C-Suites and retired 2 years ago. The last international company I was working for was just implementing Teams so it was not as dynamic as it is now. What an incredible tool! I certainly hope my former colleagues have received training for all these amazing tips.
Hi. Thanks for these. I do have a question for you, which might become a new topic: I have to teach a class for a random group of professionals. It needs to include a PowerPoint slide show, time at the whiteboard, heavy use of sticky notes on the whiteboard by all the students, exercises written in Word, and the ability to call on individual students. I have a team of four, and we might be able to distribute some of the work, but we can't quite figure out how to juggle all of this. Back in the days before virtual classrooms, the students would have a notebook that included copies of the slides (with room for them to take their own notes), copies of the exercises, printed worksheets, and a full pad of sticky notes, which they would arrange on a physical wall. Yes, they can create the sticky notes on the whiteboard, and I can help them arrange them when the time comes. My concern is that my team and I won't be able to see the presentation, the whiteboard, and the list of students (who are guaranteed to slip in and out as their own project crises dictate). In addition, the students will almost certainly be reading the Word exercises from e-mail (or possibly a SharePoint link), making them jump back and forth from the written exercise and the whiteboard. Um. Help?
Hi Kevin. Love your videos. I'm a teacher and my question is when my students go off into their breakout rooms, can they each use a whiteboard to collaborate on in their group? Thanks a lot.
Breakout Rooms are now available in Microsoft Teams! Check it out: ruclips.net/video/DMfsilBhW7A/видео.html And yes, they can use a whiteboard in a breakout room 😄
@@KevinStratvert Mr kevin, I was recently attending my everyday class and after some time I saw a text in the chatbox which blew my mind, it was a showing that the text which I saw was sent by me but in reality I hadn't sent it, I understood that my account was hacked, but didn't know what to do, can u help me Mr kevin?
Hello Kevin! I have followed your videos for quite a while now. And I have to say, that your videos are great! Straight to the point and well explained. Do you plan to make a video on Sharepoint?
Kevin, thank you for your channel! I joined you when you were still at MS and had about 50K subscribers! My question is HOW to email from a team within MS Teams? How to set up Outlook in MS Teams? Thank you!
Hi Kevin - Great tutorial! I have been trying to become more proficient in Teams and your videos are helping so much. In this one you talked about emailing to channels (which I had already figured out on my own). This encourages us to just use Teams channels instead of proliferating emails, but there are times I would prefer to send all Team members an email instead of (or in addition to) posting to a Channel. One way of course is to create a Group in Outlook...but then I have to manage membership there and in Teams too. Can you please explain the best way to accomplish this? From what I've been able to learn online, there IS a Group email associated with the Team when it's created ... but it's hidden by default. So, although I can figure out its address (by going into the associated Sharepoint, clicking on Conversations), if I email anything to that inbox it's not accessible to Team members AND it doesn't go to each of their personal inboxes anyway. It would be helpful if you could explain how to make Group email visible, or why Teams should not want to do that, any alternative approaches you would suggest for easily emailing all Team members, and some examples. Thanks so much!
It's really helpful. Being a KI on Teams for the last 9 months, I think I found it quite late. Though some features are not working on our version, I was really excited about the attendee's list and transcript, I do not have access to them.
Kevin, as the GOV version of these tools do not have all the features that you sometimes reference, do you have any "work around tips and tricks" that you could suggest. That goes for anyone else as well. I would love to get some insight on what some other GOV users are doing with regards to Tasks, deadline notifications, and seeing these in teams or.... or.. or.. where ever you have found to be the most helpful. Thanks in advance. Also... Kevin... you have become our teams favorite default go to trainer. We refer to you by your first name. ie... "Listen, before you go any further ... have you listened to what Kevin has to say about this topic?"
Hi Kevin , I'm happy to write to you... i have some question about teams 1- How can move post or assignment from channel to other channel, like i put post in channel A by wrong and i want to move it to channel B 2- If i recorded my meeting in channel , How can i remove a recorded meeting from posts Thanks
Excellent video! Thank you! Why isn't there a "Pause Recording" option. I would love to pause the recording while I give time for students to work on a problem but doesn't seem to be available.
Love the ability to post a message to a Channel from Outlook email. Especially since we get the full selection of highlight colors, etc. from Mail which we don't get if we post directly in the Channel's Posts area. Woohoo! Thank you for this.
Great video! One thing though, how hard would it have been for Microsoft to turn your background around, or your video so it showed up as others see it!
Very easy, I'm guessing it was a design decision to make it appear like a mirror... not sure I like it but I'm sure they were very intentional about it.
Thank you for this video. This helped a lot. Also the quality and the speed of talking is really great. One question to you: where to store static information in Teams? I have some info that anyone should be able to find again. I thought about not allowing someone to write in a channel, but this is not possible as far as I know. Hi Kevin. Very useful post for the beginners like me. I have some questions. 1. Can members delete the files posted by owner. 2. Why whiteboard is not recorded in the video even though I shared my desktop. Plz clarify. Thanks in advance
So helpful, Kevin. Thank you! One question: With the polls, is there a way to see who voted for what? I used it in a meeting a week ago, people responded but I couldn’t find where I could see people associated w the answers.
Great video. Im in the military and at my base they want us to use sharepoint however I find this way more easy and fun to use. I am a program manager and the CSSs I assist are back and forth with how on board they are. I love TEAMS, any ideas how to coworkers and others more on board and out of the drives?
Hi Kevin, love this tutorial. I've learn so much from your videos already. One thing I can't find is how to set the default for folders is to always present the newest file at the top without having to modify the sort. Is this possible?
Hi Kevin, great video! I remember in one of your previous videos, you briefed on how to present slides in Teams. I use that in all my presentations i.e. Upload the slide and present, rather than opening the slide on my desktop in presentation mode and then share. The caveat is, I don't get any presentation controls this way like I get in traditional slide presentation mode. For example, pointer options. Is there a way to do that in the upload presentation mode?
On the transcription tip, can you export it into MS Excel as a CSV . That would be very useful with the transcription correlated to a respective person (as long as one person speaks at a time)
These tips are helpful, even if it just tells to look into the ellipses. Thanks. Question: I am presenting using Powerpoint. Then I have to switch to another application, say STATISTICA. I have to explain its usage and e.g. open a file with it. Then back to ppt. Do I have to have the app and other files open beforehand, then unshare ppt and share the app, then unshare the app and back to ppt or is there an less cumbersome way like Alt+Tab?
Hi Kevin. Just watched my first tutorial and will make sure to follow many more (excellent stuff!). Question: I use the Mac Calendar (not Outlook). Is it possible to plan a meeting using a Teams invitation from this calendar or only from the Outlook one? Thanks !
Hi Kevin. Please upload a video about tips and tricks in zoom cloud meetings. Because in India zoom app is used for online classes and etc. So please upload a video about zoom cloud meetings.
Hello Kevin, I have been using Teams quite a while but even if I find it amazing my students find it pretty difficult because some can't connect at all. Some students can't download TEAMS because after installation there is a sort of a loop redirecting them to Skype. Others are searching for a "button" to click when they receive the invitation and can't figure out that they have to click to "JOIN MEETING" What I am trying to say is that even though TEAMS for is us seems intuitive for some others....no. I think that Microsoft should first "fix" that. Maybe my comment is not relevant but I supposed to be in my first online class with 10 new students and 7 out of 10 encountered all these issues after downloading and installation. So this video pops up and well... I feel better now :-) Anyway, congratulations for all of your videos, and thanks for all the tips!!
Awesome as always👍🏻 But I also have a request, can you please make a video telling about different IT fields. It will be somewhere helpful for IT aspirants also. Please do the needful if possible. Love from India
Love this video. Thank you. I was hoping there might be a feature in teams to schedule a limited number participants in a meeting. We are using teams for our class and we have special guest joining us. I'd like to have the students sign up for these session but there will only be spots for 10 students. Is there a way to do that? or to use a third party tool to do that?
Hi Kevin, I love your videos. Is there a way to automatically mute students at the end of the day so that they don’t keep messaging throughout the night? I know how to do this manually but sometimes I’m rushing out at the end of the day and I forget to do this.
Kev, this is superb, like your tutorials, is there any one to present videos more efficient? i mean i am aware depends on bandwith, but also what formats and codecs work better on teams? i have had some issues to embeed videos on a pptx file, saludos
Kevin,i want ask a question In spotlight feature, can we spotlight mutiple participant?🤔 If we want make a talkshow in teams, we must spotlight the speaker right
Hello! Kevin been watching your videos to help us in our office work. really big help. I want to ask 1 advise on how to have a good sharing audio for the apple devices? currently my teachers when screen sharing their videos their is no audio also on apple their is "include system audio" like in windows. really need help thank you!
MS TEAMS PLEASE make it possible to identify which participants in a meeting mute others. Just as there can be a notification in files to see who has edited a file that isn't view only, there can be a notification that states that John has muted Jane real time. It is A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE to have to go to meeting options every time to change who can present / mute etc. This setting should be readily available when one is scheduling one's classes for the entire week. TEAMS SHOULD BE MORE USER FRIENDLY. We a paying you A LOT of MONEY!
4:00 As far as I know the background feature isn't available on linux. But I have better: I can use v4l2loopback to create a virtual webcam and send content to it through ffmpeg or obs-v4l2sink. Ultimate webcam controls for teams (you can get chroma key, rotation, screen sharing, ... through a single webcam).
@@yakatronschoppa5109 No, not really, the solution I use is to use v4l2loopback and OBS-v4l2sink to pass the output of OBS to teams, and do my effects in OBS instead.

We are using teams for our class and we have special guest joining us. I'd like to have the students sign up for these session but there will only be spots for 10 students. Is there a way to do that? or to use a third party tool to do that?
Hi Kevin,
I love your videos. Is there a way to automatically mute students at the end of the day so that they don’t keep messaging throughout the night? I know how to do this manually but sometimes I’m rushing out at the end of the day and I forget to do this.
Great tips...plan to use some of them right away.
Hi Kevin' your tips are very helpful. 10x
Quick question: in screen sharing: people say that they get a mirroring screen. Any idea how to fix it?
Very good sir. How do you increase the sound when someone pings you in the Teams so that if you are in another room you can hear the ping
Kev, this is superb, like your tutorials, is there any one to present videos more efficient? i mean i am aware depends on bandwith, but also what formats and codecs work better on teams? i have had some issues to embeed videos on a pptx file, saludos
Good video. Is there a good way to add calendar invites from your personal calendar in outlook to a shared calendar in teams?
Kevin, have you done a presentation on how to use Teams for customer meetings and interactions?
Thank you so much Kev, well explained and easy to follow. Am learning alot 👏👏👏
Thanks for this useful video. Can I record the meeting if I join through web version?
Good Tutorial. Please keep us updated. Appreciated. Thank You
Hi Kevin, just wondering if you have done a video about creating training/demo video for mobile devices. Your videos are awesome like always!! 👍
Kevin,i want ask a question
In spotlight feature, can we spotlight mutiple participant?🤔 If we want make a talkshow in teams, we must spotlight the speaker right
Thanks Kevin. Good as always. Do you have a video on Power Automate yet?
Thanks, good video... (in teacher view) is there a way to put teacher video in the center of the screen (view)?
Great video! Definitely helped me, would highly recommend.
Thank You for a good lesson in Teams. I really needed that 👍🏻
I love the presentation!
I've simply learned a lot from your videos, thanks !
Great video!! How about an in-meeting timer?
Great video Kevin but can you make a video on templates in teams
4:00 As far as I know the background feature isn't available on linux.
But I have better: I can use v4l2loopback to create a virtual webcam and send content to it through ffmpeg or obs-v4l2sink.
Ultimate webcam controls for teams (you can get chroma key, rotation, screen sharing, ... through a single webcam).
Do u know what to do if apply background effects doesnt show
@@yakatronschoppa5109 No, not really, the solution I use is to use v4l2loopback and OBS-v4l2sink to pass the output of OBS to teams, and do my effects in OBS instead.
