“Pedal pushers” Haven’t heard that term in a long time. 😊 Yes I grew up in the 60’s…
The jacket is Lamb. Worked on it for years.
The Thomas and friends figurines would be great cake or cupcake toppers.🎉
That nice leather jacket could be lambskin.
The leather is sheepskin
Ole Wise Owl, its lambskin. Sheepskin is the sheep/lamb leather with the sheep’s fur still attached, like the furry collars on WWII Bomber jackets.
Yes, lamb skin leather
I am afraid of thrifting in the Bins but I applaud you for going for it!
Unfortunately our Goodwill sends these things off to their online warehouse. I will never find anything this good in our local Goodwill. All brand name clothing shoes and anything with value goes there to be sold for more. So I only shop out of town Thrift stores.
I read all the comments about the leather jacket. It is not: cowhide, ostrich, alligator, sheepskin, fake, unborn whatever, embossed leather, pigskin, etc. Working with all leathers since the 1970’s, I can say without hesitation that jacket is lambskin. Lamb skin is thin, soft, and supple, unlike cowhide which is thicker, and a little stiffer (although cowhide plonge can rival lambskin for suppleness) depending on weight. To produce the surface pattern, the hides will go through proprietary processes but generally we say it has been shrunken. My final verdict, shrunken lambskin.
Karen you have way more patience than I! Too many people and too many that want to get there before anyone else!
I don’t understand how you don’t have over a couple hundred thousand subscribers. Your channel is one of the best, imo. Whoever bought the brass butterflies sure got a great deal! I honestly thought those would go for quite a bit more. Anyway, I just started watching, so I’m sure I’ll edit my comment. ha ha
Could not deal with those people. Gave me anxiety just watching. You are amazing to deal with.
They are really bad in my area. Like a gang/and massive bullies. There is a group that camps out, stays there all day. They would encircle all the new bins and not let you in. Throw elbows, gossip about you, tell you off. And the past supervisor was buddies with them and let them act like that. I stopped going and it changed, supervisors. So I would go once in a while after several years. The new regulars are not as bad. But I did run into one the other day. The majority are all young punks ( male) and I believe they cannot pass a back ground check, due to attitude, drugs etc. So they sell online.
Yes, the Bins videos make me anxious too! So glad Karen got such great finds, but I fast forwarded through the bins part. 😅
Funny I know what you mean, but yet Karen makes it relaxing.
Definitely not my jam to shop or watch
If I Went There ; Bring Me Home In A Basket 😢😢😢UGHHHHH
Enjoyed the video. I liked how you (Lisa) played with editing, switiching back and forth with commentary and live shots. Great haul at the bins.
Good Sunday Morning Karen! The bins were like the Wild West! I can't imagine digging through the bins without gloves! I am surprised more people don't have injuries or ruin their nails. Congrats on your great scores! The hanging chime with the frogs is an amazing art piece!
All the best to you & Roger!
Patty 🎃👻🦇 Alberta 🇨🇦🍁
I think you should definitely wear those beaded jeggings. They are so nice.
Please wear gloves to protect uour
Hands. Very easy to get cuts and scrapes not to mention the dirt!! I always keep gloves and big bag in trunk in case I stop at the bins. Love your channel!
I was filming! Can’t wear gloves while operating a camera 😂
I LOVE watching you pull shopping. No idea why, but I just do.
Wow! You found some really great things, and I was surprised to see that you can dig with the best of them! You go, girl!! ❤
Thanks so much!!
I know! I was proud of how she held her own in the bins!
The wagging tail dogs that you showed are votive candles holders. They are listed as vintage 1960 Jack Russell votive candle holders. Some are listed with a dog and a cat as a pair. Between $55 & $65
"Once you put something in your cart, it's yours."?! Not at mine. We all stand on the side looking things up and tossing things back.
Yes that’s the way it’s always been but Goodwill’s changed the rules
Good morning shopping shark.😊
I just love your organization!!! You make it look so easy!!
And it is SO HARD... truly. So much work.
Your shirt is some kind of fun departure from your normal stylishness. No one will mess with you at the bins in the shirt 😧 My guess on the leather jacket is Lambskin. Usually thin and very soft. The wind chime ❤ great finds for you at the bins.
Maybe put a small succulent in there? The doggie figurines.
Wow. A mad house at the bins but great finds Karen....Loved seeing all of this.....
How you do all this with one hand is amazing.
That was a huge score day!
❤❤Karen wear those jean$!❤❤❤
I live in NC and I have a big southern accent, I now say "schmutsy" when I'm out shopping. My sister asked me where I picked that up from and I simply said "Karen". She knew who I was talking about because I have told her lots of stories of my "friend" Karen.
😂💜💜💜💜
Our closest Bins is two hours away so we don't go often. They put all shoes in separate bins from other merchandise. They come out in pairs rubber banned together but they quickly get separated. Shoes are one price, usually $2.50 per pair. Books, DVD's, etc. are in separate bins also. They are one price......usually $1. It's crazy in there. Note: I always keep an Ikea bag in the cargo of my SUV. Otherwise I would forget it also. Great haul by the way.
I love watching as you sort through the bins! Thanks for sharing.
I love the bins, but I usually wait for people to clear out a little bit because we all look for different things. It's way overwhelming having so many people around you and grabbing.
Those dogs are meant for TEA LIGHTS... when lit they wag the tail!!!! So cute!
My bins are not quite that aggressive. I'm not sure if I could handle that. The frogs, the leather coat, and the blanket were great finds.
Love the great bargains in the USA you find
At Goodwill bins in my home town make us where the rubber gardening, gloves, or you can’t even enter the building
As things opened up from Covid, my daughter and I took a trip from Va. To Maine. We went to the GWBins up there and they only let 24 people in at a time! Three hours, 24 people. It was AMAZING! We ended up having to buy a cargo carrier for the top! The price up there was 72 cents a pound!!! I always wear gloves. Edit: shoes are always kept separate at our bins and kept in pairs by big rubber bands. But there is usually one or more people getting full shopping carts full of shoes and sending back to their community in another country. Also, we use cribs sheets to cover our carts! People will steal from your cart! It's a fun crazy time!
Limiting the number of people inside a Goodwill bins location is a great idea! It would cut down on some of the drama.
4:22 too love Waverly, especially they're wallpaper & curtains. I always use one of my antique hand sewn quilts that i found in a abandoned house that the front door said "DO NOT ENTER, CONDEMNED BY DEMONS"!
The most unusual items bring some big bucks! The WIND CHIMES!!!
The Excelled jacket- looks like lamb leather, thin and soft. This was a fun vid- made me a bit anxious and I’m just watching from home. something I would never do but loved watching you handle yourself brilliantly. I would’ve put the rude woman on blast though .. just saying. Well done, great finds!
That’s what I thought lamb leather.
So fun Karen! You rock that t-shirt.
🥰🥰~~Oh ny goodness @26:00 Country Western Ken!!! I received him and CW Barbie as a gift on my birthday in the early 80's!!! Loooooved them!!!
I love watching your videos from shipping to pulling to shopping. Thank you ❤😊
I love your Goodwill videos and this ‘bins’ one is nicely different; it’s certainly crazy at the bins, but when you find something good, it’s really worth it. Great different video today Karen, well done!
You had a great day. I would not do t hat at my age. I love that wind chime.
You never cease to amaze Karen. That black leather jacket you found, at the bins no less! Way to go! 👍
Omg I've never seen anything like this. .you can have that😮 it's like shopping in a tip!
Hello Karen, The True Shark Herself!
You definitely walked into the Shark Tank at the bins. Next time wear your Shark T-shirt, maybe the others digging will be afraid of you and back off. You found some amazing items. You have a great eye for stuff, that's why you are so successful in everything you do. Thanks for sharing this video Karen.
While I don't know anything about leather, that jacket is gorgeous. And the frog wind chime was so amazing! Loved following your bin adventure! :)
Karen- you are such a lady, but also a warrior- good for you Girl! Where was Roger? I’m guessing he’s not a bins type of guy- he’s so laid back.
Those doggies are so darn cute! Very interesting - shopping the bins. You picked up some great finds!
I was gonna say keep Froggy but wow, sell that thing! Keep V Bradley bag for your BIN bag...
Would love to see you pack up your sales as well! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!
Wow. Our bins are one person per bin at a time which I love.
Watching that Goodwill bins makes me want to wash my hands. You’re brave!
WOW Karen, you did REALLY well at the bins!! It seems as if your fellow bin customers are much more cordial than the ones I've encountered...and that's me putting it nicely LOL😉 I still go, but I have to be in the right mood lol.
Awesome finds!! Cheers from South Carolina ✨
The frog wind chime is such a cool find!
Anything that you miss a rip or stain list as a cutter. Those will bring fairly good money! I know I buy cutters!😊❤
Omg no way having all those people digging over you I don't care how cheap it is.😊
I think you did a wonderful job at the bins! Almost all those items were desirable. (Some were admittedly less desirable than others.) But the jacket, lap robe, skirt, sweaters, and chimes along with other items are no-brainers.
Do we love a good set of wind chimes? Yes, we do!
You definitely know how to score no matter where you are.
You definitely have a great eye for valuable items! Keep up the great work!
Fun video! I love the wind chime!!
Wow thanks so much for showing all of that! Not sure I'm ready for the bins lol but it was super cool to see how you do it! And what awesome finds!
Great job Karen, love the frog wind chime, someone is going to enjoy that…you scored ❤
I still haven’t braved the bins!! Good for you!
NEVER could do the bins, too many rude people. And I have personal space issues, so good for you!! And would you consider wearing cotton garden gloves for your protection at the bins?
Score on the ceramic wind chimes. I bot the whale one at an estate sale.
Shark Shirt is a great choice for getting your game on at the bins. Might keep others away from your “personal bubble” as you hunt!
Wonderful to see you found some great items. Never been to the bins, I would probably spend my whole time trying to organize the mess.
Hi Karen, Greetings again from RI! To me, this is the scrappiness of the thrifter in all of us. I wish we had bins in RI. Thank you for your videos. You are adored.❤
It was very interesting watching you dig, throw & go with the best in the bins! You definitely are an expert. A fun video! Yes, the Capri pants were made for you!
I suggest you list the plastic Thomas trains as "cake toppers" or "party favors."
I have learned A LOT from you and refined my selecting what to purchase quite a bit. Upping my clothing and trying to focus on low buy in price.
Love watching you shop
I love the doggies. So so cute. Great finds.
Oh wow, no way I could deal w/ going to the bends. Kudos to you. I bet you and Roger enjoyed your Ebay evening, sounded very enjoyable. I enjoy your videos so much. And just love you and roger..
you are so well organized.
Its amazing how you manage to spy those great brands inside the bins. The bag is so gorgeous 😍
FYI - When I go to the bins, when I get home, all fabrics go into my dryer on high a setting, if possible. Was told to do this to avoid any bed bugs in fabrics. Directly from dryer into wash. Ever notice the smell of rubbing alcohol at the bins, they are spraying against bed bugs.
Yuck. get them into the house and it all needs to be fumigated. That is what a woman I know had to do. expensive.
So fun! I love shopping the bins. An absolute treasue hunt!❤ Thank you!
Love the basement videos!
She held her own against the others amazing to watch...I did this once long time ago but it wasn't for me😂
Wow good score!!!!!
The train toys are made to play with on a plastic mat that was sold with the book. No magnets or any metal. My grandkids love this and ask for it everytime they visit.
I love the bins! Either you love it or hate it! Where I go, Winston Salem, NC, is about twice as large as the one you are in. WARNING! Time flies at the bins!!!
I go to the bins in Winston-Salem NC too.
Wow you found some nice things. I'd say your digging will pay off. Those jeggings with the beads & fringe are so cute. I think you should keep them.
I like listening to you talk about things that sold.
💕You’re the most fun!
Where I live in PA our bins stores have a steady stream of people dropping off donations which don't go to the stores. They go straight into the bins. Its amazing what I can find! Sure we still get the store leftovers but if your store has a drop off donation area, you'll want to pop in more often!
Whoa, the bins are like the Wild West! That’s a place I’d rather watch you shop than go myself and I never think that! Love the frog wind chime-it’s whimsical and looks well made. Happy Fall! 🍁
10:22 That’s mine!! I got that from you! I love it!! I’ve been watching and hoping that it would go on sale!! Yay! It did!! Thank you, Karen!
Great as always
I'm glad you wore the shirt!!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in a T-shirt! I, however, wear one daily. 😀❤️
Love that wind chime!!!
Hi Karen ,it’s fun going to the bins ,you never know what you’ll find .lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
The wind chime!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I keep thin gloves in car for Goodwill bins. Better for reaching and pulling items.
No gloves are possible while operating a camera
Love those little dogs and the fringed/beaded legs jeans! The closest bins to me are 50 miles away, but I'm thinking of asking another reseller if they want to go with me. Yikes, not sure though. That leather jacket could be calf skin. Excellent haul, Karen!
You are so fabulous Karen. This video was great fun. Big ta. ❤ from Oz.
What a great eye, some really nice picks. I think I'd have taken that EcoBaby backpack...IF it was in good condition.
The leather black jacket, could be Lambs leather, it fills like butter.
I love your jaws shirt❤😍🥰😻
