Hi Karen! You are the most fun reseller to watch! I get a kick out of your jovial comments and you do have a great eye for quality everything! Thanks for sharing your thrift finds! I could so hang out and thrift with you but I'm so far away! Keep up the awesome videos!
I am not a reseller myself, but it is so kind of you Karen to explain so much to help other resellers. The part of the video where you show things that sold for a high profit is interesting to me, and must be very helpful to new resellers.
Awe… I love that you’re watching from Greece. My father was born there. Sadly, I have never been, but I am planning a trip in the next couple of years. I know I have family there because my father was able to go after he retired & met quite a few of them. Anyway, I just thought I would say hello from one Greek to another.❤
@@LindaKayHolevas i truly hope you get to visit and find some of your relatives, btw i have a customer with the same last name as you, and I also used to live in Southern California ❤️❤️.
@@theodorabadra5 You have a customer with my same last name? That is awesome, I have a feeling we are probably related in some way. There’s just a handful of Holevas’s in America, most of them are on the east coast (I’m on the west coast). Thank you so much for sharing. Stay blessed❤️
Your excitement at Creek & Willow is everything! We all want to go shopping with you. Yes we do! I just can't get enough of your videos/So Fun & I learn so much---Thank you Karen!!
Hi from Australia. I just read your garden blog from Long Island. Absolutely stunning. You have such a good eye for design. Your new garden is looking great as well. I can only dream of cool gardens living in a tropical climate. I love love gardening and had a 5 acre garden which my son and daughter in law now live and caught the gardening bug and have now turned into a successful garden nursery.
Really like Creek Willow type antique malls with booths. I have to limit my visits now that I’ve downsized to condo living . “ I think I’m going to buy this for myself” you sound like me. Thank you for taking along to these shops.
I love your "high profit thrift finds" segments...I learn so much from them and love seeing what you end up getting for these items. You are truly one of my favorite shoppers to follow. Thanks Karen!😊
I love how you touch everything! I'm 50 and just realized what a tactile learner I am. When I shop with my husband, he's always like, "Why are you touching everything?!" 😆
You can learn so much about an object by touching it - how heavy it is - the heavy the object for it’s size, the better quality. Is it chipped or cracked etc.
Good morning! I would put a plant, maybe a fern in that first basket, still next to the tub! And yes, the pig board for charuterie is everything!! My grandparents had a teal version of the orange enameled stacking tins. My grandpa kept his jewelry in it.
I absolutely share your thoughts on going into stores where they're too clean, organized, neat, and vignetti. The art of thrifting is the pleasure we take in uncovering the treasures, down on our hands and knees rooting in the back of shelves, boxes, under other things. I usually avoid a store once the proprietors start cleaning it up and organizing it because it's no longer fun to shop there.
The brass swans that you saw when you walked in the door, stole my heart. Love them! In addition to Goodwill and Habitat ReStores, consignment shops with 75% off prices, are a great source for thrifty. Not only can you find nice clothes, but also jewelry and hard goods. As a vendor with three booths in an antique and thrift mall, I really enjoyed seeing how other vendors display their items and how their walls look. I’m always looking for new ideas for my booths and you really came through for me in this video. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and Roger, You are both sweethearts❤❤!
Karen, the stacked orange layered thing is a kitchen canister. They were made in avocado green too. The last beaded necklace you got looks like carnelian stone.
We cook a lot around here and wash everything in an original farm sink. When you have a busy kitchen, you learn all about dishes! Cheap dishes like Gibson chip easily. Good dishes like Franciscan chip, but not easily. I think that is why stoneware is becoming so popular - it is almost indestructible!
Karen- I just received the USMC blanket I ordered. It is so beautifully packed! I want to learn to be a reseller, but I don’t think I could ever learn how to fold a blanket as perfect as you! There was a cute little card inside which I quickly opened. I then realized it was for the new owner of the blanket, my father. I carefully placed the card back just as it was sent. Hoe very sweet that you added a thank you card for “his service”. That will make him so happy! Thank you for sharing all that you do to be so successful, and so incredibly professional. Kim Lawlor
Yep I just reported that spam crap on my reply. Oh it gets so frustrating doesn’t it? Can’t just have peaceful conversation with one of Your favorite you tubers, ya have to put up with scammers!!
Good Sunday Morning Karen! The Heart style basket was beautifully crafted & so aesthetically pleasing. Once you were in the jewellry section ~ I was a goner! Couldn't remember anything from before ~ lol! The lighting in there was terrific capturing all the shine & sparkle! My own dear English Mother loved her costume jewellry & had drawers of it. I was lost in that section & didn't want you to leave. The displays were so well curated! Have a wonderful week Karen! Patty 🦄👛📿💍 Alberta 🇨🇦🍁
I was watching your video, and after you posted your previous Blog site, I decided to pause video and take a look. Now, I'm down a rabbit's hole looking at photos of your beautiful garden(s). Great score for Melissa and Bear on the lights, glad the person was still there and willing to sale them.
The same trip that I got to experience Lucky Dog, I also got to shop the Reuzit in New Holland! I sat in the parking lot waiting for them to open and got to quietly join the morning prayer they share before they open.
Thanks for sharing those garden photos from Long Island. Zone 7 would be a dream gardening zone as I am in zone 5a in southern Wisconsin. However, I am presprouting ranunculus and anemones today so I still get to enjoy growing flowers that aren't hardy here. I enjoyed your thrifting on Saturday and am still playing catch up watching old videos!
The drawer joints at 24:20 are what I have learned to be "pin and crescent", but there are many other descriptive terms. This system was used between 1871 and 1900. It was abandoned after dove tail joinery machines came into being, making mass-produced dovetail joints that still looked hand cut. I only know this because I bought, years ago, an oak dresser and wanted to know more about the precision joints used in its construction.I was told that the machinery created for pin-and-crescent joints was pretty much worthless after 1900.
Hi Karen, I love to watch you and your shopping I love thrift stores as well, I know you don't like a lot of glass but I was watching a RUclips station with a Dr. Lori who Holds the Ph.D. in art, Glass, and Antiques. she is amazing and as funny as you
I thoroughly enjoy shopping along with you. Thank you for all you share. I'm sure you're aware, however, I was in a thrift store the other day, saw and item I've never seen before. Another shopper mentioned an app for my phone entitled Lens All you do is take a pic of them item and immediately identifies as well as gives sources of comps.
Actually serious elephant collectors like me prefer them in their natural position. With their trunks up are usually for the souvenir trade....just sayin'
I Just checked out your blogspot! LOVE all the flowers, your yard was gorgeous!! I planted a Pee Gee hydrangea tree in honor of my dad's passing (10 yrs ago) and I love it. I am going to check into that cockscomb plant, looks very interesting! Thanks for sharing that!!
Great job gal you are very well disiplined I buy many things lol I like a lot of KEEPERS to enjoy in my home. NEED A BIGGER HOME LOL AND NEED TO SELL INSTEAD OF KEEPING.
Wonderful video. The great profit is in vintage jewelry.I bought books upon books to learn Individual vintage brooches and earring sets 250.00 and up You have to educate yourself.Hope you had a great day !
I was so hoping that you would have picked up the peacock statue as I think you could have made a great profit on it. Maybe you did and I haven't seen it yet
Wondering what happened to my first comment? Some nice finds, especially was thrilled that you picked up a necklace I made several years ago, the brown and pearl one with AC Moores beads called Jesse James. Glad my necklace will be reused!
Everyone loves a good pig! I am hoarse from yelling take that! buy that! pick up that!! Oh so many beautiful treasures; but I know you take everything, and you can always go back. The jewelry was fantastic with another 25% off. Mellissa would have loved that. Karen thank you for another great shopping venture with you. I love your videos! 🚑👒👜🧥👠🕯🛒♾
My mother had a full size real stuffed peacock that sat in her living room and I hated it! It was very colorful and beautiful, but it just creeped me out...I even hated walking past it and I definitely hated seeing it at night. She had it for years and everybody wanted to buy it from her and she finally sold it.
Close to 23 minutes you showed a blue house on the top shelf several times and I was wondering what was it was. Maybe a cookie jar or a light up house I'm not sure what it was but from what I could say it was very pretty

ITS A WOODEN PIG TRAY! I love it.
Can't believe the amount of jewelry. So beautiful as well.
I was traumatized with the llama rug thing. For a second I thought it was a toilet seat cover 🤣
Lol, you stick a round pillow in it, you release the sewn threads and it will have a pocket for a pillow or stuffing.
I like scrappy and digging too,it's more fun,for sure!! That spiderweb basket would look super hung on the wall so it would show up well!,🕸️

You could put rolled washcloth towels in the basket
"My dreams have come true." (looking at the pig board)😂 You're so funny.
I love how you touch everything! I'm 50 and just realized what a tactile learner I am. When I shop with my husband, he's always like, "Why are you touching everything?!" 😆
I have always been a tactile learned. There are some things I won’t touch because of the feel.
I hear my mothers words “ look with your eyes not your hands “ and put mine behind my back

I received the orange canister in 1966 in alvacada green for a wedding present.
That’s turquoise beaded necklace is lovely
The turquoise seed bead necklace is a multi strand necklace. I just discovered your channel and have been binge watching.

Why don't you have your own antique booth? You have such great taste, it would be beautiful!
I don’t have any extra time 😢
I keep expecting to see Roger around the corner!:)

I love to dig, too,it's all fun.
Thank you for yet another great video 📹 I lived the purse you sold. So pretty
Love, love everything you thrift. It's time for pulling and shipping. I love to see what sold.
Do you use promotions on Ebay? You sell alot of expensive items, in addition to your lower priced items, I'm just blown away. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve tried promoting, I generally don’t see a big difference
