Thanks for the V12 range test Duf although range is the least of my worries! Almost ready to pull the trigger on the V12 as a compliment to the V11 but just gotta see the S20 on 8/26 before I do that. So many new cool wheels coming out right now! Great time to be an EUC enthusiast!
I'm in LOVE with my EXN, I argue its the best wheel on the market. However, I'm impatiently waiting for my v12 because I want that twerky 2500w motor on that 16in wheel for the FUN. Its going to be a blast!
It would be great to know the end of battery behavior but I know you don't like to do the full range tests. I have used Uber a couple times so there's always that backup if they exist where you live
I was counting on you to do the 0% range test but since you aren't looking seriously at the V12 it might not happen. To me I feel I test usable range, mostly. Beeping with tiltback isn't real range for me. That being said I can run the battery down elsewhere and test that behavior close to home as I have plenty of nearly abandoned streets to do it on. It looks like they simplified GO HOME mode
@@Duf Yeah, I'm probably not going to get access to a V12 for that test. Nobody enjoys riding down to the beeps, but around here (and probably other places) where we do long rides, sometimes we're ending the ride on fumes. For instance, you said you had ~30% battery left - is that 30% linear like the first 30%? I've had some wheels go from 20% to unrideable really fast. This is why I think it's useful to know how the wheel behaves from 100 to 0. For your use case it's a don't care but other people might get some useful information from a fuller test Cheers as always :-)
@@ElectricUnicycles I will test the low battery behavior although I really prefer subbing that work to you :) I AM looking forward to doing the 20 mile DD ride with speeds averaging closer to 30 than 25, on a 16 inch wheel that doesn't have "chode" in it's name.
I'm thinking about getting my second wheel, and range is very important to me. Since we have the same weight and body time, is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks my man. 👍🏼🙏
On the V12 going less than 15 mph I can get over 40 miles by 50% battery. Today I got 41 miles with 59% battery left. Sometimes I do speed burst up to 25, but mostly cruising 10 - 15 mph. This weekend I rode on the beach for 20.3 miles and the battery had 84% battery left. So it depends how fast you ride. I think I can get an easy 80-90 miles out of my riding style. And I'm about 180 pounds with gear
It's a ton more than the V11. When I tried to do something similar on the V11 I had to slow down on the second half and still ran out of "gas" at 27 miles. I did 35 on this with no slow down and 29% left in the end.
@@Duf Nice to know that it's not that far off the actual range imo. I'm planning to get the v13 and already paid the dp. Just concerned about the true range of it being too short for my use case. Thanks @Duf! 🙂
There is a dealer/distributor here says that the v12 is very problematic, that he gets a lot of complaints, so he doesn't sell it anymore, but he can bring it if I really want it. Is this true? So is the v12 such a problematic wheel? Or are the people here wrong? Whereas I wanted to buy a V12, they offer me a V11. What do you think?
Hey Duf. I see that your wireless mike is white as opposed to black like the one that you used to use. Did you switch the black Rode mic for something else or is it some kind of cover. The sound as always is excellent.
Am I missing where the total range was? I've listened to the vid about 3 times and the last number of minutes more than that and can't seem to find the total mileage at what percent/v battery.
If you look at the recent low battery test, across three rides I got right around 50 miles with 8% remaining. That was with going the first 35 miles at roughly 25mph.
Some solid range on this wheel. I think it would be able to go for a good 40miles before getting too low. Never fun to ride it to totally empty. This is the almost half of a Sherman range and this is spot on. Also looks pretty solid on the road. Did you stick with 28psi in the tyre or did you go lower for this ride?
The range is over 50 miles coz when the battery drops the top speed drops so the range extended. However we all know the best battery management is 20% to 80% so the real range for commuter is a bit over 30 miles. I'll say 25 to 30 miles which again is barely enough for me. I pulled the trigger on v12 already but I'm also eyeing a long range euc (maybe Sherman my sweet spot is 35mph)
I did 35 miles at roughly 25mph average speed and then another 15 miles or so at speeds of 15-20mph which got me down to 8%. All of that is usable range in my book.
I haven't kept up with the new wheel anouncments, are the specs of the new Kingsong really that impressiveto get you to put down a down payment? Between the Veteren's new offering and Begodes apparent attempt at a Sherman (c'mon, "Commander?" who're they kidding?) it must be pretty different. Also: RIP poor Cactus.
@@Duf sir did, I checked the desc, both knee pads are short. The one in your video goes down up to the shin.. maybe half of it. Thanks, if you have time, i just got my euc and trying to complete my gears
Thank you so much Duf...most euc channels out there on RUclips don't even bother mentioning about average range or anything which shows how useless they are at reviewing things.
Precisely why I ordered the V12...range with a higher sustained speed. My V10F just couldn't go fast for long.
This is the first IM/KS wheel that I could do that route with no slow down/warnings.

I think the S20 will be awesome but I have a feeling you will be waiting a very long time to own one.
If range isn't important to you then don't get the V12.
Thanks Duf, I haven't been on the onewheel in while and this was just the little push I needed to get out for a little evening neighborhood cruse. :)
Glad I could help!
Those are some pretty good numbers. Im definitely gonna enjoy my RS19 over my Sherman for shorter rides. 1800wh seems to be the sweet spot.
Yep wait till I do the 20 mile DD ride, will be clocking closer to 30 most of the way.
@@Duf like the kingsong 18xl ok it has close to 1800wh :D
I just did a 30 miles ride (average speed 16mph) on my new ex.n speed. Had 63% battery left when I got back. :) I do want a V12 though
If I averaged 16 MPH on the V12 I bet I would be over 50% after 30 miles

good omen 11.1 subs! glad your enjoying V12.

Yep if you are willing to go that slow range will increase dramatically!
Thanks Duff, but it would be nice to see how the v12 limits you at the real end of the battery.
Ok I will run it down and do that test close to home!
wrong way had a graph showing how the limits change depending on battery left in one of his v12 videos.
Does the HS or HT get more range? The HT in Commuter mode and both @ 20mph?
IN theory I would assume the HS gets more range. I never had a HT
My HT just cut out on me yesterday. Battery Failure.
How is it going from suspension to non suspension? I learned to ride on a v11 but want to try the v12 because it has a little more speed with 43mph
For me, it sucks, for people with less aches and pains, not a big deal
@@Duf thanks
Pre ordered my S20. Thanks for the heads up
Good choice!
Pre-ordered an S20 also !!!
The perfect video does exist perfect for what I needed to know ! Now I can buy one knowing it’ll get me to campus and back fine 🤙🏻 thank you
Glad it helped!
Duf man- that was fun. Does not look like a lot of range there. It’s like barely a little more. Good video.

Great video Duf, very informative... Im holding out for the S20, hope its as good as the rumours suggest. 🏴
You and me both!
Is the range indicator on the V12 display panel accurate or at least realistic?
It's the same as the app so figure on it being up to 10% off.

They had a lot of problems shortly after launch, I have not heard of any major issues lately. I loved mine.
Hi Duf, I bought a recliner last year and it was a great. Glad the V12 made it back without need for the Ride of Shame. S20 or bust! I can just tell.
Yep recliner arrives tomorrow, should be nice. The S20 will be even nicer.

I lost the TX for my original set, Amazon was selling the white now :)
How much range?
Watch the video buddy!
would like to know the range at max speed
not many people ride max speed for an entire ride
Am I missing where the total range was? I've listened to the vid about 3 times and the last number of minutes more than that and can't seem to find the total mileage at what percent/v battery.
I heard the 35 miles, but I didn't hear the ending battery percentage/voltage
If you look at the recent low battery test, across three rides I got right around 50 miles with 8% remaining. That was with going the first 35 miles at roughly 25mph.
So Duf, does the app not show distance covered by the number of wheel rotations the EUC makes during the trip?..Or is it just a GPS readout?
It is based on rotations, not GPS.
@@Duf Thanks! I thought it had to be on rotations.👍

There is no comparison between an EUC and a MiniPro, totally different experience.
