12HT is my first wheel. Took about 3 weeks riding on a grass field before I was comfortable on pavement. 800 miles later it’s my daily commuter, rain or shine. It’s got plenty of go, and is the largest wheel I can carry one handed up the stairs in Penn Station and my front porch.
my first wheel was an ex20s and it took 2 days of grass riding before i moved to pavement, after a day on the pavementi hit 30mph😂 i ate sh!t but it worked
Thank you Hsiang for the great review of the V12HT. As an Inmotion V12HS owner riding on the mosfets that are suspect I have a blast everytime I ride. 360 plus miles on it and feeling confident everytime I do. I have the new "black" motherboard ready to install. It's the same as the V12HT. It was the best choice I have made - because I had the money at the time - and no regrets because the V12 has taken me to places I never thought of. It is a great choice and good luck.
I bought V12HT this summer as my 3rd wheel. It is awesome wheel. So far 2000km on the clock. Great acceleration and breaking (with power pads) and very practical. Great and durable tire. Built quality is awesome, I droped it to 2m concrete hole and just minor scratches. Great wheel for sure, I have no need for anything better :-)
I purchased the V12HT this summer and had a blast all season. I've surpassed 1600 miles. Recently picked up the commander, and I'm so glad that I started with the V12HT.
Hi. I just picked up the commander HS as well but have problem with tilt back when reaching like 30Mph or so. Can't really enjoy my riding because It tilt me back whenever I push harder and just can't really figure it out what the reason is? I read about custom firmware that do exactly this trick so the wheel does not overload and cut off but can it be the case with the wheel I bought from alienrides? What is your experience with this wheel?
I am now hitting the 1st anniversary of EUC, with my V12 crossing over 2,000 miles. It's been an amazing wheel. I have had no problems with it on either the older or newer boards, and it continues to be a great winter commuting wheel. I do think where will be a branch of EUC purists; riding wheels with no suspension or pads to get that triad of speed, agility and experience between a second triad of wheel, rider and environment. Much like bike messengers ride fixie bicycles through the streets of New York, and equestrians riding bareback instead of full western tack on their horses. I value these reviews, because they take place in a large city with heavy mixed traffic - the ultimate test of a wheel's worth to those who believe that this is the transportation of the future.
@timucinpusat3518 You've put this comment on almost everybody that said they bought the V12....... What's the obsession with advocating for suspension?
I am sure there are gonna be those who think that $2k+ price is too much for a starter wheel, but I personally think that its better to buy an EUC that you can use for the longer term than to buy an under power wheel that you'll out grown and relegate to the closet after a month or two!
@@OWGAC I fully agree! That's exactly the reason I decided to go all out, and go for the Sherman-S! More range and shorter than the v-13. Probably(Hopefully) more sturdy as well!
I started on a ks 16s i now have a t4 and omg i love the t4 so much as a new rider its so nice. I am happy i learn on a none suspention wheel because now on my t4 the combanation of using my legs and the suspention its such a nice ride. I almost got this wheel but ended up getting the second batch of the t4 and i could not be more happy with it.

I got the V12HT in the summer as my first wheel and then I got a Master 50E. The V12HT was absolutely the right decision as my first wheel. I'm 230lbs and the V12HT will haul my ass up a 45 degree dirt incline if the dirt isn't too loose. I came to trust it pretty fast because the build quality felt top notch. Looking forward to the spring so I can ride my Master and Surron X and teach some of my friends how to ride EUC on the V12HT.
@@milordas Perhaps. I like it. If the V12HT had some nice stiff suspension for my fat ass, it would be the perfect EUC in my opinion. Having ridden the 80lbs Master I think the optimal weight for an EUC is 60-70 lbs max, like the V12HT. It feels nimble, just feels right.
@@timucinpusat3518 Not really. I dont go up curbs with it. I go off curbs though, nothing higher as I want to try to make it last. If your knees are good should be no problem. If you want to go faster than 45 kph and ride on the street alot, then you'll probably want to go for a faster suspension wheel... Or if your going to do lot's of off-roading. I like riding quick but I'm riding mostly smooth asphalt trails. Also, to me, geared up or not I don't like going above 45 kph on my V12 or 55kph on my Master, just feels too sketchy. I've never even pushed my Master past 60kph yet, probably won't.
@@timucinpusat3518 Also, the V12 at 70 pounds is the max weight I want in a wheel. Also, 16-18 inch tire, 3 inches wide tire. It's the perfect EUC except for no suspension. I can teach people on it on the grass and not worry to much about it getting wrecked because of it's exceptionally sturdy bulld quality. It's totally the most versatile wheel.
The V12 HT is my first and only wheel. In the 2ish months I've had it, I've gone over 223 miles on it, and have been pleasantly surprised with range and versatility. I eventually hope to upgrade to suspension, but my HT is going to keep me happy and challenged for quite some time.
@@OWGAC Having only ridden the HT, I'll take your word for it. I've been happy to climb some steep inclines, but have no frame of reference to say "I wouldn't have made it with X wheel." It's just normal for me. =) So glad I went with the HT instead of the HS.
@@timucinpusat3518 suspension is definitely nice to have for those, 100%. But it is not absolutely essential. The strong case for not starting on a suspension wheel is that you learn better riding habits and skills to navigate those challenges safely, then can upgrade to suspension and be well-rounded and more capable. Someone who has only had the suspension will likely not ride the same way as someone who has experience without, which can sometimes result in problems. (Suspension can only do so much for you; in the end it comes down to your knees/posture, and avoiding problems altogether, I think.) Take my opinion with a grain of salt though; I have not yet had the luxury of using a suspension wheel.
I picked up my v12v ht this past Aug. 800km in, and it has been amazing. The speed is great for me and my style of riding as I like to switch between trails, bike paths, and city streets. The ability to customize your ride from the split ride to the pedal height is something I love about this wheel. The side and rear lights are dim for night riding, but the headlight is great. Great vid again!
@timucinpusat3518 you compensate with bending your knees. Hop slightly if going over a sewer cover. Seeing as I have only ridden wheels without suspension I couldn't tell you the true difference in ride quality.
This really seems like a very good place to start my euc journey. I love the idea of having something that’s not a wimpy wheel that will still be something I’d want to use after I work my way into becoming an advanced driver.
Seems I remember going through some of these same evolutions with Mtn. Biking. There's always the crowd, generally willing to spend a bunch of cash and say that if you aren't riding the latest tech. Then you are falling behind. I never had a full suspension bike that I felt as comfortable at high speed as on a couple of Hard tail bikes. Really once you learn to adapt to what you are riding then go have a good time. Spend money wisely because more cash won't make you any better of a rider but as you touched on, sometimes riding with less tech can make you a better rider.
Ninebot One (12mph) was my first ever wheel back in 2015. Used it to get around a large campus and it was amazing! I wish I could afford what's in the market these days. 12mph eventually became too slow for me lol I'm so glad this community exists 🙏🏼
I ride with the exact same offset foot position as you Right foot tight, left foot at an angle and on the tip Gives excellent stability for no wobbles especially when braking
You did it again. You found what others have not been able to. Many riders do prefer a non suspension wheels. Not just because that space can be used by more battery cells or their responsiveness but because they are way more simple to maintain. Suspension EUC are great but not without compromises. Each mechanic and moving part needs to be kept in good shape. While something like this beast, is simply to recharge and enjoy. I would not recommend it for a beginner (too fast for that) but its enforced rim may help on that period since it is when we tend to bump them more. What about your tire pressure vs weight? it is perhaps the most important setting of this model. That Cordial tire has to be used at very low pressure compared to other tires, bringing a more pleasant and still safer experience. Great video, you are nuts in NY. Please stay safe. 🤣
Honestly, as a skier, I really enjoy non-suspension EUCs because it makes you feel the actual ground, and use your knees as you would when skiing in normal or rude conditions. Suspensions are awesome for smooth long rides, but when it comes to sporty rides, you can get awesome experiences within the range of 20-30 km/h with standards EUC. Its more raw, bare, "Hi-Fi".
Snow has some damping. And the skis are larger so irregularities are straightened out by the long skis. All that is not available with eucs. Just a bit dampening from the single tire.
I've *never* thought of supporting a RUclips creator on Patreon, but your channel is such a gem it might be the first that makes me consider it. Cheers!
Still riding' my ks18xl and happy about it. Got myself a Sherman Max (also non suspension wheel) tried it for a week or so - it sucks in terms of comfort and everyday usability compared to my Kingsong wheel. Sold it back without regrets. Suspension wheels are heavy + require maintenance, but most important, they're uncomfortable to use, as all suspension models so far have a bad trolley handle, big weight (or tiny battery, like S18, that is unusable).
I started to ride two and a half years ago with a V8f. I’m glad I did, it’s been a great wheel to learn on and very reliable. I’m amazed that in about one year only, the V12 series has gone from being the biggest, heaviest and most powerful INMOTION wheel…to a starter wheel ? I would have thought it was a bit of a heavy wheel to start on…unless you are a large 250 lbs guy. As for suspension, I’m not sure it’s quite there yet. Most systems are pretty primitive and more weight ( again! …..and more weight always means less practicality). On the V11 the suspension is no more than a sprung seat on an old tractor…the entire wheel is un sprung weight! That said, in a couple of years if there is a V12 size and weight wheel with decent suspension, I’d be interested.
I love my V12 HT! Loved the HS as well. I definitely feel every ride in my knees but it’s such a good small form factor commuter. Build quality is far superior to the competitors. I agree that everyone should start on a non-suspension wheel. It teaches you to ride properly and react to imperfections. I get lazy on my suspension wheel bigger bumps and potholes catch me off guard. Great review!
im glad to hear. just learned how to ride this year on a V8S and with no suspension or power pads and i feel i learned fast and have great control. i doubt i would need pads for this but i think will make it even easier fir ehen i go to bigger wheel
Glad I saw this. I don't have enough savings to buy a EUC right now, but I've been eyeing some. I discovered EUC's via your channel, and started binge watching your videos. Saw how you recommended starter EUC's like the V8 to the V8S and I was dead set on eventually getting the V8S. But these rides are upgrading constantly. I saw some getting the V11 as their starter and thought okay, maybe I should up my game a bit. So the plan is now to learn on a used EUC, get either the V8S still, V11, or V12HT, practice practice practice, and eventually and ultimately work my way up to the Challenger! XD
To be honest, I still think a V8 or V10 is a much better wheel to start out on, and much less painful and costly when you drop it…which you will! The V12 would be a pretty heavy thing to learn on.
V12HT is my first wheel and 250 miles in, and its been a blast. I picked it up because I wanted something I learn on and also use for a while, so far I think it'll work well for that. It would be nice if it was a bit faster, since the people I ride with all have higher end wheels, but thats more on the people I ride with than the wheel. It has been able to keep up on both nice smooth trails as well as off road tracks with way more experienced riders. I know I'll eventually upgrade but for right now it checks all the boxes and I'll probably start using it to commute to work on the days I don't need my truck.
Very nice. I remember the hoverboards came out and I bought my daughter one. But before I gave it to her, I wanted to make sure I was proficient in riding it. So I road it for two days at the fire house, and the learning curve was pretty easy. Can anyone let me know what the learning curve would be on one of these electric unicycles/EUCs?
Very good video for beginners, when you are new you don't know how fast you are, if you like offroad or not, what stance you prefer, and what pads will be right for you.
Subbed, "Inmotion Nanny" 😆 ride mine 60 - 70km all summer learned on the hs, 4400 km since april and just bought the master on sale for next year. Great content!
I actually was concerned for awhile because I'd developed a strange riding position with my left foot towards the outside of the pedal at about a 40 degree angle pointed left, and my right foot hugging the wheel at maybe 25 degrees.. also to the left. Mind you I think alot of this is to do with train tracking on our mostly all slanted roads and I'm on an mten4 with a knobby :/ I feel very stable and with some practice I can face my feet the opposite way. It actually makes turning really easy and the putter foot acts like a stator while the inner foot gripping the wheel does the turning. Maybe its weird but it works for me.
I've ordered a V12HT and it is on the way. My NyloNove pedals and Grizzla Flow Compact pads have already arrived. This will be my more compact wheel for when my Sherman S (also on the way) is too big/heavy for what I'm wanting. Longer range and higher speeds will be done with the Sherman S where the comfort of suspension will be more important. The torque of the V12HT should be fun to experience.
@@KiwiMark67 Oh ok but the bite system allow you to close correctly the pedals and still have pads low enough to jump =) But thx for the feedback on the Nylonove though ;)
wow i just started too ..i just bought my v12 as well haha funny how i came across this video ..yeah i never knew how to ride a euc but when i hop on the v12 i got it just like tht ..i love my v12 ..its pretty fun
I'm really getting so use to this wheel than reaching the top speed very often has become normal for me and I'm now thinking of getting the v13 but the price is refraining me I'll keep this one.
The higher end wheels like the v13 has prob a 20mph advantage on the v12, but you'll have to pay quite a lot more for them. Double the price for about a 15mph increase!
I still prefer the Non-suspension wheels. No fuss, much cheaper, and can greatly improve your skill without relying too much on suspension. I also still prefer the slim profile of the EUC, hence I don't put any pads on mine. Really excited to get the v12 coming from Nikola +100v.
I was waiting for some practical advice. What does pedal height affect, what does tire pressure affect and other advice from an experienced rider. I bought this bike for the first time and need this advice. Please shoot something similar for owners and beginners. Thanks. I need a more illustrative video. I am 67 years old and life has taught me Russian, English very little.
Wish I would have seen this vid 2 months ago (I know you didn’t even upload at that time :D) Got a V8F to start and I start already to want more… Sadly here in Australia still there isn’t a massive community (at least in my area) I will keep this wheel which (don’t get me wrong) is a good commuting tool and maybe in the future get an other one! Great Vid! 👍
Hmm... I was thinking about going with the Kingsong 16x. And now I'm thinking it makes sense to go with this. The cost is about the same and seems like a better wheel. DANGIT!
Nice. I have a kingsong 16x coming - I've been learning on a 14d. Keeping the 14d because it's a great size for my less than 5' partner. From my mtb background, I enjoy swapping between full suspension and hard tail bikes, I like both of them. The hardtail weighs nothing in comaparison and makes me focus a bit more and I can't go as fast. It seems to be the same with these wheels - more complexity and weight vs lighter weight, nimbleness and a necessary focus on line choice.
amazing video! i started on a ks 14d and loved it then got a ks 16x and my god that thing is fun and for my next wheel im getting the ks s22 (im a kingsong fan boy lmao) and i cant wait! i saw one of your latest videos has the s22 in it and it was beeping the entire time and you mentioned that the beeps weren’t set up properly so i was wonder why it was beeping so much
You can set warning speed on most wheels and it was prob set too low for me. Warning beeps is really only there to tell you how fast ur going and when maxed out (wasn't on that S22) safeguard for cut out, out of the 3 I think the S22 was actually a lot closer to the Sherman s when it comes to the fun factor, only down side was the range for that wheel
@@OWGAC so it wasnt because it was being overpowered? i heard the beeps start at 35 amps (not sure if they changed that) when most other wheels start around 60-120 amps but if its just because the owner set it lower that will be even better then i expected now that most of the problems are fixed and all you really need are the sliders
Great review, I have the v12ht and love it. I own 8 wheels and this wheel by far is my favorite city wheel. It’s off the line performance beats everything.
glad you put this out, I've been debating what wheel to get here soon, and I had originally decided against this wheel as a starter wheel because I was worried I was getting a little overzealous, but this has given me the confidence to start seriously looking at this wheel again over the 16x or 18xl
Interesting that the V12 was quickly forgiven for its cut outs, but the the Abrams is ostracised. I guess Inmotion got the problem isolated, explained it, fixed quickly and got the PR around it right. Whereas Leaperkim went through denial then firmware, whereas there seem to be 3 problems - dodgy firmware, bad motors, bad bearings and bad hall sensors. I believe there a few good abrams out there and hope mine is one (I'll never really know?) - shops dealt with it by shifting all stock by doing 2/3rds prices and I fell for that. Now it will be my training/bash around wheel, until I save for a v12 or v13....
The markup on these is why society takes so long to advance. I understand that for quality you have to pay but being a person who understands engineering and mechanics...its too expensive. It costs the company MAX 500-800$ per unit to manufacture. And that's still high for costs considering it's just a battery and motor. They price it that way because the market dictates the price. Sux.
it's not just "This costs 800 to make so 10% mark up" Theres employee's to pay for, factory space lease, machinery to manufacture is INSANELY EXPENSIVE, overhead, insurance, shipping (that's baked into the cost)... it's expensive man
how about self acceleration with this wheel? and battery problems, like not chargin to 100%, fault status after firmware upgrade, etc. etc.. i would wait for v.2 revision for this wheel to buy it
I bought the cheapest available euc at the time as a 1st. Now Im looking for fast, suspension and water rating if available. Like you said ip rating isnt a thing just yet...
@@danmano478 It's good, they fixed it with an update, you need to really lean into the back pads though. But it's better then my 16x at high speed breaking. Getting a master in a few days if I don't forget I'll compare it and respond again.
@@EdLrandom Thank you, man. Did you heard something about a second batch of V12 HS, that comes from factory with the new stronger mosfets board (like the HT) AND the same improved rim (not orange) like the HT? Also, do you know the name of the cells used in the batteries of V12 HS/HT? For the Master we know for sure that we have Samsung 50E, which are better, more stable than LGs. I think Inmotion cut corners with the cells used, hence so many problems reported by users on RUclips, mixed with favorable reports. Maybe Inmotion is not consistent in the cells used and keep it all quiet.
@@danmano478 IDK about the rim, but my v12 is one either with a replaced motherboard or a new batch, I don't remember. It's around 4k km on it and I never had a cutoff, I know early v12hs issues were specifically low-speed over-torque cutoffs, but I think it's fixed. It does look like in motion uses LG cells, but one thing is for sure in motion software is great at detecting overloads, instead of burning MOSFETs like kingsong, inmotion v12 tells me to get off when I'm over-torquing it at 45degree hills, then in 5 min it lets me ride again... I prefer that cause I blew MOSFETs on ks16x when offroading twice. Though I doubt I'll be able to overpower the 50e master. I'm glad samsung cells are better, I'm a little afraid of begode fires.
In term of "natural suspension" with the tyre, who would you compare this one with the (old but famous) KS 16?? seems this later would be a bit more smooth? (got a knee condition but don't want a wheel to heavy... ) thanks
The fatter tire have a good bit more air volume so it's an improvement, but small one. On a scale of 1 to 10 where the KS16 is a 1, V12 is prob a 1.5 and a V11 like a 6
Another great, unbiased review. I don't mind wasting 20min of my life watching your reviews. I love my V12HT! Yes I do wish it was a little faster, I still have my V8s, that I outgrew in 2 weeks. I keep it for winter riding in the basement, and to help new riders learn. I contemplate getting the Sherman S, but the portability, load capacity, maneuverability, cost, speed, and range of the V12HT make it hard to give up. For me, the portability is huge!. But hey, everyone has different wants and needs.
Great video man. I’m considering of picking up this wheel. Btw, I feel like I saw you with this wheel on Madison Ave the other day. I was on my bike and didn’t want to seem like a creep 😂😂
I think the best part of being broke & not being able to buy my 1st EUC is I can sit back & watch the recent explosion of EUC tech & take my time making a good decision on what to get 😋 but I've been leaning towards In motion for a while

It would be interesting for someone to actually measure the inflated tyre diameter of the HT. I suspect that it is actually nearer to 18” diameter than 16” diameter, because of the very high profile ( I.e. tyre side wall height ) of the HT tyre.
V12Hs is my second wheel. Still feel new to it as I get wobbles going 22 mph and up. Other thing that feels funny is making fast turns. Not sure but I didn't find these problems in the v8F? Not sure what I'm doing wrong
A starter wheel is a cheap used wheel. Like a Ninebot one. Why? First if all many people don't even learn to ride. They either mistakenly think it's impossible for them to learn or they simply lose interest if it takes to much time. So it's better to try on a cheap used wheel. Second, learning will damage a wheel. Third, while learning and riding one can see how they will personally use and enjoy a wheel. That is info they need about what wheel will actually be most useful in their situation. Then you know what kind of wheel you would use and want to buy. I also think that such a powerful wheel doesn't learn you to really get the most out of all power available. Learning on a weak wheel will teach how to handle limitations. A good skill to have.
What tire pressure should I use on my V12HT, brand new rider, 230lbs, 70 years old! I have been using about 30 psi, but I understand that as I transition to more challenging surfaces I don’t want to pinch the tube.
I'm 250lbs and run 36.5psi on my HT. I started at 38psi and have ridden as low as 26. When I found the pressure to be 'too high' the wheel was squirrelly and bumps spring you off the pedals.
Thanks Shawn, just adding that little bit of air pressure made a lot of difference. I think it kept me more on the center “spline” of the stock HT tire. Much better! I had it all the way down to 26psi and the wheel really felt dead. Still deep in the learning curve.
my first euc is my v12 HT it was amazing until, I got a cutout going 30mph with a speed limit of 37 mph last month. my handle ,kills switch and screen don't work. there is not any easy ways to fix something that cost over 2k usd really sucks. with no response from inmotion to fix it. i have less then 500 miles on the wheel and for 58 days. ;c
Is that stock mudguard for the v12 ht? Speedy feet talked about a poor mudguard a year ago. All the V12s profile pics on retailers’ sites only have the small poor one.
Just Bought the V12 Pro for $999.⁰⁰ and at that price, it's Well worth the money IMHO. Won't get it until December 4th. Does the Pro have the Sound Effect still ?? Pro seems to be an upgraded HT with new controller & boards, etc .. Hsiang any plans on Reviewing the V12 Pro ??
Serious question. I have been ridding the V8F, but still am getting used to ridding. Going to buy a new wheel and because I am 53 5'11" tall and 210lbs, would this be better than a V11. I do have a fake knee from sport injuries, so I was thinking the V11 with suspension might be better, but.....
Hi Hsiang please share your preferred riding settings for this wheel. After some days of playing around and re-adjusting I set them to: commute mode pedal sensitivity 50% balance angle 1% split mode with speeding 50% braking 35%
Lol I actually ride most wheel stock, since I don't have too much time with each so I don't tweak it much, plus I figure it gives the most accurate "out of the box" exp
sounds like neither. They both have issues and poor customer support. V12 random acceleration/cut out, T4 had bad motors that they sent replacements for (they did not replace for you) and had bad circuit boards - also the build quality not the T4 is not as 'good' as the V12 which is not great either.
I got a used ks16x as my first wheel and I do regret not getting the v12 instead because in 2 months I’ve put over 900 miles on my 16x and less than a month in it keeps saying please decelerate as I hit its top speed instantly. I need to upgrade but the perk is now I can sell the 16x for around what I paid for it used to learn with
@@Wheelednuggets the only reason I try not to ride the 16X is because the master is so different and I want to get more used to the master. I still love to rip on the 16X, just so many things I can do on it that I can't with the 90lb master as I'm not lugging the master around in the car with me.
Hi Hsiang. How about getting a suspension and setting the suspension to the stiffest setting to simulate having no suspension? Also, re nonsuspension wheels, how does v12 compare to RS?
You can never lock a suspension out fully and even if you can, the linkage will still means that the pedals aren't directly connected to the motor axle. You just get a level of ride feed back you can't with suspension wheels
I'm a clydesdale at 300lbs not including gear, just coming off of an e-scooter and looking to pick up an EUC just so I can bring it up to my desk on my daily commute since I've been flagged for my scooter as being too big to bring into the office (it's a Varla Eagle One Pro). Anyway, would you have any suggestions for those of us looking to jump into this field who are of a heavier nature? For me, my commute spans about 12-16 miles each way depending upon which route I take, of which, a solid ten miles each way are looong hills, either going up or down. Your opinions are appreciated! Thx
I don't understand why don't we get this in india i hope this was available in Amazon India there are billions of youth who would surely buy if this was available in mases..our population is growing economy is growing but this is still not available this is beyond my logic i hope we get such this as soon as possible
65 lbs of starter wheel seems cumbersome.
The InMotion V8S or King Song 16X are wheels 20 or more pounds lighter than the 12HT.
I got routed to this information from my experience riding an old fashioned unicyle. This might have been a dangerous thing to now know about!!
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
my first wheel was an ex20s and it took 2 days of grass riding before i moved to pavement, after a day on the pavementi hit 30mph😂 i ate sh!t but it worked

I went with V10F.. i didnt want to spend crazy money till i knew id be into it for sure.
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
I purchased the V12HT this summer and had a blast all season. I've surpassed 1600 miles. Recently picked up the commander, and I'm so glad that I started with the V12HT.
Hi. I just picked up the commander HS as well but have problem with tilt back when reaching like 30Mph or so. Can't really enjoy my riding because It tilt me back whenever I push harder and just can't really figure it out what the reason is? I read about custom firmware that do exactly this trick so the wheel does not overload and cut off but can it be the case with the wheel I bought from alienrides? What is your experience with this wheel?
@@ThePawel36 you gotta go in euc world or equivalent app to change the tilt back settings.
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
@@timucinpusat3518 not at all. Good knees, decent back. I’ve been just fine.
Your videos are the best. Honestly. Production, shots, audio, script, and music!!
Yeah there's quite a few none suspension riders here in nyc and it's pretty refreshing to go back to the "classic" euc riding experience!
Congrats on your 2k miles!
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
@timucinpusat3518 You've put this comment on almost everybody that said they bought the V12....... What's the obsession with advocating for suspension?
Who would though a year ago that 100V wheels would be best EUC starters 🚀🙌 at a $2k price, you just can’t go wrong.
I am sure there are gonna be those who think that $2k+ price is too much for a starter wheel, but I personally think that its better to buy an EUC that you can use for the longer term than to buy an under power wheel that you'll out grown and relegate to the closet after a month or two!
Mine threw me off the back at 30mph plus... dont trust inmotions programming on this wheel

30kg is realy too much for learning purposes :), i was even exausted at 17kg wheel
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
And I just did an offroad session yesterday with it and was thoroughlu impressed with its hill climb abilities!
@@OWGAC Having only ridden the HT, I'll take your word for it. I've been happy to climb some steep inclines, but have no frame of reference to say "I wouldn't have made it with X wheel." It's just normal for me. =) So glad I went with the HT instead of the HS.
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
@timucinpusat3518 you compensate with bending your knees. Hop slightly if going over a sewer cover. Seeing as I have only ridden wheels without suspension I couldn't tell you the true difference in ride quality.
@@bellcityrealtor thank you for reply.
This really seems like a very good place to start my euc journey. I love the idea of having something that’s not a wimpy wheel that will still be something I’d want to use after I work my way into becoming an advanced driver.
I got a v12 HS over the summer! Love it. I'm ready to get something faster with suspension though now.
Faster than the V12 HS ? lol buy a motorcycle at that stage ^^
in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
12mph eventually became too slow for me lol I'm so glad this community exists 🙏🏼
this video convinced me on the V12HT. 500 miles later and I'm loving this wheel
I ride with the exact same offset foot position as you
Right foot tight, left foot at an angle and on the tip
Gives excellent stability for no wobbles especially when braking
Brilliant breakdown. You have the ears of an ever expanding audience
I still ride muh MSX V2 HT with stock pads. Bluetooth module blowed out. She's a beast! Upgraded pedals are definitely a must.
Even after getting my master, my 16X is still a solid wheel that I still find so fun. Love the rock solid pedals on hard mode.
strange to hear Sherman is not good.. yes it heavier, but ride it should be more comfy
T4?
I love my V12 HT! Loved the HS as well. I definitely feel every ride in my knees but it’s such a good small form factor commuter. Build quality is far superior to the competitors. I agree that everyone should start on a non-suspension wheel. It teaches you to ride properly and react to imperfections. I get lazy on my suspension wheel bigger bumps and potholes catch me off guard. Great review!
@@ai._m I’ve ridden suspension and non-suspension. Just saying riding non suspension teaches you additional skills and requires more road awareness
im glad to hear. just learned how to ride this year on a V8S and with no suspension or power pads and i feel i learned fast and have great control. i doubt i would need pads for this but i think will make it even easier fir ehen i go to bigger wheel
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
XD
I have bought nothing but used wheels and I love them all but you've got to become familiar with wrenching on them just as you do the new ones too.
If used wheels are an option go for that, better to buy something cheap and beat it up than new!
To be honest, I still think a V8 or V10 is a much better wheel to start out on, and much less painful and costly when you drop it…which you will! The V12 would be a pretty heavy thing to learn on.
cant wait for Hsiang's v13 review video to drop soon..
But in urban use (sometimes rough roads, sometimes going up and down low sections of pavement), is the lack of suspension not a problem?
Just got my v12 HT . Its beautiful. Think id enjoy riding this for a while
I buy used one this week for my first wheel and i love it ❤
Thank you, this is the information that I have been looking for. I am having a hard time deciding on which EUC to start with.
I know it's tempting to go suspension but I personally think the v12ht is the more solid choice (comparing to the T4)
@@OWGAC The King Song S18 was my other choice. The V12HT now is a clear winner. Thank you,
Very good video for beginners, when you are new you don't know how fast you are, if you like offroad or not, what stance you prefer, and what pads will be right for you.
It also makes it so I'm always facing/able to see traffic with my helmet mirror
My first wheel was the Begode RS HS. This wheel definitely looks fun to ride. 💯
My first was the v12 High speed, id opt for the HT now but its been great, getting my Kingsong S22 today tho :)
Great vids Hsiang!
I'm new to the euc community, looking to get my first one. Torn between the V11 and V12HT. Keep up the great vids!
V11 suck, realy
Which wheel did you get because I'm considering this and the v11 as well as the 16x
The T4 looks pretty compelling
Apart from the build quality. It seems they need a lot of fettling to get them right. A 16” susp wheel is the sweet spot though imo.
Didn't you like the combo Nylonove bite pedals + kinetic pads bite ?
@@synkaan2167 Never tried them, but the Grizzla Flow pads are really good and so are the NyloNove pedals.

Great price, quality and easy to assemble.

Got a V8F to start and I start already to want more…
Sadly here in Australia still there isn’t a massive community (at least in my area)
I will keep this wheel which (don’t get me wrong) is a good commuting tool and maybe in the future get an other one!
Great Vid! 👍

@@loganewing1607 Love it, no buyers remorse
Everybody else just got the V13 and that thing is a beast.
115 lb. Insane weight
Technically it’s great…But it’s simply too big, too heavy and too impractical for my taste.
Very very amazing points sir! Being use to suspension and that making us weak riders... loved it dude
Sux.
it's not just "This costs 800 to make so 10% mark up" Theres employee's to pay for, factory space lease, machinery to manufacture is INSANELY EXPENSIVE, overhead, insurance, shipping (that's baked into the cost)... it's expensive man
how about self acceleration with this wheel? and battery problems, like not chargin to 100%, fault status after firmware upgrade, etc. etc.. i would wait for v.2 revision for this wheel to buy it
Nice video, many thanks. What height were the pedals set at…High , medium or low? And which did you prefer?
Low! I alway prefer to ride as low as the wheel allows for better stability
Great review, very good editing
I bought the cheapest available euc at the time as a 1st. Now Im looking for fast, suspension and water rating if available. Like you said ip rating isnt a thing just yet...
I love my HS though, that extra speed is very nice simply because I basically never beep

How is the braking, though?
I still find it strange they dint update the original v12 hs rim
In term of "natural suspension" with the tyre, who would you compare this one with the (old but famous) KS 16?? seems this later would be a bit more smooth? (got a knee condition but don't want a wheel to heavy... ) thanks
The fatter tire have a good bit more air volume so it's an improvement, but small one. On a scale of 1 to 10 where the KS16 is a 1, V12 is prob a 1.5 and a V11 like a 6
@@OWGAC they’re interesting thank you!

I think the best part of being broke & not being able to buy my 1st EUC is I can sit back & watch the recent explosion of EUC tech & take my time making a good decision on what to get 😋 but I've been leaning towards In motion for a while
As an Inmotion V12HS owner riding on the mosfets that are suspect I have a blast everytime I ride. 360 plus miles on it and feeling confident everytime I do. I have the new "black" motherboard ready to install. It's the same as the V12HT. It was the best choice I have made - because I had the money at the time - and no regrets because the V12 has taken me to places I never thought of. It is a great choice and good luck.
Great video Shawn. Like always of course

How does the inmotion V12HT compare to the Ninebot Z10? I own the Z10 but I have never ridden the V12HT is there a significan difference in torque?
@@ShawnRobinson1 Thanks!
Thanks Shawn, just adding that little bit of air pressure made a lot of difference. I think it kept me more on the center “spline” of the stock HT tire. Much better! I had it all the way down to 26psi and the wheel really felt dead. Still deep in the learning curve.
my first euc is my v12 HT it was amazing until, I got a cutout going 30mph with a speed limit of 37 mph last month. my handle ,kills switch and screen don't work. there is not any easy ways to fix something that cost over 2k usd really sucks. with no response from inmotion to fix it. i have less then 500 miles on the wheel and for 58 days. ;c
Updates? I'm terrified of cutouts and I'm looking at getting the v12 HT
I’m a heavier guy. I’ve been researching euc for awhile now is this still your recommendation for bigger guys
Is that stock mudguard for the v12 ht? Speedy feet talked about a poor mudguard a year ago. All the V12s profile pics on retailers’ sites only have the small poor one.
Yeah it was stock, I think its prob a new version then but it worked well and I have had no complain
Have you collaborated w/ WrongWay much? - He has a great blog as well….😊
Just Bought the V12 Pro for $999.⁰⁰ and at that price, it's Well worth the money IMHO.
After some days of playing around and re-adjusting I set them to:
commute mode
pedal sensitivity 50%
balance angle 1%
split mode with
speeding 50%
braking 35%
Lol I actually ride most wheel stock, since I don't have too much time with each so I don't tweak it much, plus I figure it gives the most accurate "out of the box" exp
I have 7k miles on my v12... 100% every setting....+1 angle
I’m fairly new to EUC. What pads are you using in this video?
@@Halphbaked210 Hey. What V12 do you have, HS or HT? You are the first I heard having more mileage on V12. Any problems?
Hi
T4 or v 12 ht for a first euc ?
Heavy rider
Thks
sounds like neither. They both have issues and poor customer support. V12 random acceleration/cut out, T4 had bad motors that they sent replacements for (they did not replace for you) and had bad circuit boards - also the build quality not the T4 is not as 'good' as the V12 which is not great either.
What is the best all around fast powerful wheel with suspension, torque and maneuverability available today?
I got a used ks16x as my first wheel and I do regret not getting the v12 instead because in 2 months I’ve put over 900 miles on my 16x and less than a month in it keeps saying please decelerate as I hit its top speed instantly. I need to upgrade but the perk is now I can sell the 16x for around what I paid for it used to learn with
Got a master but im never parting with my 16X. Still love it
@@noelleonard2498 the master was a wheel I was actually looking at how often do you still use the 16x now that you have a master?
You just get a level of ride feed back you can't with suspension wheels
wow ridin this thing in the rain, balllllllsy
Nice drip old man
I'm a clydesdale at 300lbs not including gear, just coming off of an e-scooter and looking to pick up an EUC just so I can bring it up to my desk on my daily commute since I've been flagged for my scooter as being too big to bring into the office (it's a Varla Eagle One Pro). Anyway, would you have any suggestions for those of us looking to jump into this field who are of a heavier nature? For me, my commute spans about 12-16 miles each way depending upon which route I take, of which, a solid ten miles each way are looong hills, either going up or down. Your opinions are appreciated! Thx
Hsiang - spiffy new riding jacket! Think you can link?
I love mine!! Only thing it's missing is suspension haha
I don't understand why don't we get this in india i hope this was available in Amazon India there are billions of youth who would surely buy if this was available in mases..our population is growing economy is growing but this is still not available this is beyond my logic i hope we get such this as soon as possible
