Ian, excellent review and video. I received my V12 about 10 days ago and I have a friend that received his a few days later. Both of us have noticed a vibration in the wheel at 25MPH on mine and 30MPH on his V-12. I removed the tube valve, let the air out and discovered the tube was not completely inside the tire. About 10 inches was crushed against the tire bead and the rim. Once I was able to gently push the tube completely inside the tire and inflate the tube to about 30#, the vibration completely stopped. Notably, my friend had the exact same issue. Just thought I would mention. Also, I am 5feet six inches tall and weigh 130#...feather weight. Because I'm small and light, I noticed this vibration almost immediately. Thx and looking forward to your next video with Jonathan.
Interesting. Worth noting for sure, I think mine is a different issue though (possibly) because in off road mode its all good I think. Thanks for the comment as we can check it out just in case!

A lot of the criticism I’ve heard seems to be from people who have bought this as a first wheel!!! I really can’t see this or the Sherman as a starter / learner wheel.
Glad it was helpful! I think it would work as a first wheel, nothing offensive about it and would certainly not lead to a second purchase 6 months down the line as you can really out grow it. I put together this helpful video for which wheel to buy (first time buyers and accomplished riders): electricpeople.org/post/which-electric-unicycle-is-best-for-me-5e8cb38260242b53ae7229fb
Thank you very much for this video ! Is it a 2nd batch ? There have been quite a few cases of cut outs on 2nde batches, what's your take on that ? Thanks !
@@Speedyfeetuk Could be second batch issue only. We're talking with inmotion, official communication has been sent to limit V12 speed to 20 kph... Some riders are in ER right now, it was before limited to lower speed crash, now 50+ kph cut outs are a thing, with dead mosfets being the main denominator.
Little odd, hopefully they will find out root cause, from the comments it seems to be firmware related perhaps 🤔 (currently on 460km with no issues). There is this thread on our forum: electricpeople.org/post/inmotion-is-working-on-their-reputation-lol-ian-hopefully-will-survive-the---61cf730c30ccc3d4d0459c51
@@Speedyfeetuk I hope they do. Ewheels reported a 10% failure rate, seems to be much above every wheel I've ever heard off. Inmotion is outsourcing its board, which might explain poor QC... It's been mostly thought that FW is not the issue, but you have more cards in your hands than we do. Thanks for this review though, hopefully this will be solved very soon ...
18:42 ah yeah you filmed that rocking oscillation well. Maybe slightly different pedal sensitivity settings would eliminate the resonance with your weight/speed combo. I experience something similar on Sherman when seated at some speeds, only in Hard mode but not Medium. Is the 1.5.4 firmware rollout still halted? I nearly bought one but went for a 16x for now. As a beginner, that feels heavy enough to me so the V12 seems a little too heavy? I do wish the lights were brighter, they look too dim compared to other wheels. Hopefully Inmotion will tweak the shells so that the plastic is clear where the lights are, as I know the actual LEDs are pretty bright underneath. Great reviews BTW!
Thanks for following along. At night they are nice and bright, but would be good to have them brighter and then ability to tone down in the all like you can with the front lights.
If the V12 is set up properly, it would be very nice. The V12 I tried wasn't configured to my taste. If you want to be a better rider, set the footplates on the highest and don't use pads. That's how the V12 was configured. I don't know the software settings.
I often read about wobble or vibrations with the V12. Would setting footrests in highest position help against this wobbling? Waiting for mine to arrive, already got the hex 4 wrench to do the adjusting but still deciding on initial height :)
Ignoring comments is not great, and obviously still not clear as for the last 3 or 4 of years in every range test video we get the same old comments in regard to the range; hence addressing it (and another video dedicated to it will follow at some point). Speed is the biggy followed by rider weight, then tire pressure, outside temp and terrain

Inmotion have made some exciting wheels lately, sort of a change of style from Inmotion V10f and previous wheels. V11 and V12 .. Why do we need so many chargers? Is V12 different from the V11 charger? I realise 100V and 84V are different voltage -- maybe Inmotion V13 will be more than 100V like the Kingsong s20?
Yeah voltages have slowly creeped up over the years. Bigger batteries over time as well (more capacity) mean huge charge times, so little by little they have been bumping up the AMPS the chargers output.
Hi man, let me ask you.. did you have any problems with wobbles on this wheel? I just bought one two weeks ago, and wobbles are very bad.. thanks for your answer.. Mike.
No, but I wrote this article which I paste here for your reference, hope it helps! “Speed Wobble A speed wobble is a wobble you get when riding, its usually when you are going up to the area where you are not used to going that quickly. Most often this occurs with new riders, or even riders who have been riding years but get on a faster machine than they are used to. The best way of solving this issue is to ride up to a speed where the wobble starts, then back off a little, then, build back up to the speed again, and repeat the process; through this practice you will eliminate the wobble. Also an important part to the process is being relaxed (which is what practice does - it makes you more relaxed as you get acustomed to the feel of the wheel). Breathing deeply is a good way of smoothing out the wobble. Braking Wobble Now there is a wobble under heavy braking AKA a 'Braking Wobble'. This is usually because under these conditions your body is much more ridged. But it can also be foot positioning; if one foot is slightly more forward it can cause uneven pressure when harshly leaning backwards. NOTE: foot positioning rarely applies to a 'Speed Wobble'”
Inmotion might not be the fastest on the market, but they certainly are the most reliable ones. If you find a good fix for the mudguard I hope to see it in the next review.
I have a quick question. I've had my inmotion v12 for a week know. An my charger just stopped working. It's brand new. If you have any idea why it doest work anymore that would be great. I'm new to the EUC community.
You could check the fuse in the plug, but its likely that something in the charger itself has blown/stopped working. Join the www.ElectricPeople.org community!
@@Speedyfeetuk Thank you very much for getting back to me. Ya I'm pretty sure it just died. Do you have any recommendations other chargers? Have a great night
Hi Speedy Feet, great videos! I’m just wondering if electric unicycling legal all around UK? I used to ride a kingsong wheels until the goverment of singapore ban it’s usage to the path walk and on road, however, they allowed it on shared pathway, like those for joggers and for cycling. The reason why I asked is that I am planning to move in the UK this year, and I’m so excited to ride EUC to work again. 🤞🏼
To air on the side of caution - no. I think its a grey area but thats me, and wont help you if you do get into legal wrangles! Take a look at ruclips.net/video/Lbt3sXWxoSo/видео.html for my encounter with the police first hand.
Would advise anyone worried to seek legal advise of their own, but I personally feel there is a defence in regard to the use of the term unicycle as really its a monowheel..Since 2014 and tens of thousands of miles I have only been stopped once, and invited the police back to my place to discuss, they agreed it was a grey area and went no further. Others have fared worse. It needs a clear instruction (in favour of them being used correctly and responsibly)
@@Speedyfeetuk yeh agreed needs legislation but not there yet. Just worried about spending £2000 on one then it's gets seized or crushed or whatever they do.

Curious if the HT would be a better option for me at 250lbs (114kg)? I think it would, although the HT has a reduced top speed of 60kph vs the 70kph of the original version. I like having a high top end to give a nice buffer from cutouts. I typically ride my EX.N (purchased from SpeedyFeet!) at around 30mph (48kph) so I think the HT would still be great... decisions decisions…

Hi Ian have you ever been pulled by the police whilst out on any euc? Apparently they're illegal on the road in the England. 😭
Inmotion might not be the fastest on the market, but they certainly are the most reliable ones. If you find a good fix for the mudguard I hope to see it in the next review.
Will let you know!
and the intermittent headlight issue - that would be scary

TRUE STORY YOU GO GUY 1
Cheers bro!
Speedy Feet UK. What wheel do you like better between the s18 or v12 ?
V12 for me!
From TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY YOU GO GUYS 1 LOVE & PEACE
I have a quick question. I've had my inmotion v12 for a week know. An my charger just stopped working. It's brand new. If you have any idea why it doest work anymore that would be great. I'm new to the EUC community.
You could check the fuse in the plug, but its likely that something in the charger itself has blown/stopped working.

@@Speedyfeetuk Thank you very much for getting back to me. Ya I'm pretty sure it just died. Do you have any recommendations other chargers? Have a great night
Not sure if I can pick this up having the v8 & v11
In what way sorry?
@@Speedyfeetuk it looks fun that's for sure but I'm loving the v11
How much pounds you weight , I’m at 160lbs and get a lot of high speed wobble at 32 psi.
Thumbs Up!! 👍 love it!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool review very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
What is youre weight and how much psi do you have in youre tire?
How long are the cranks?
Your in UK right ... How do you get away with riding it everywhere even roads and pavements. Thought they illegal on road and pavements ???
Would advise anyone worried to seek legal advise of their own, but I personally feel there is a defence in regard to the use of the term unicycle as really its a monowheel..Since 2014 and tens of thousands of miles I have only been stopped once, and invited the police back to my place to discuss, they agreed it was a grey area and went no further.
Others have fared worse. It needs a clear instruction (in favour of them being used correctly and responsibly)
@@Speedyfeetuk yeh agreed needs legislation but not there yet. Just worried about spending £2000 on one then it's gets seized or crushed or whatever they do.
my v12 rocks back a forth with a little tilting movement u were taking about at around 19 mins into your video here comment reply back if you can much appreciated riding here in Washington area ..

@@Speedyfeetuk I just got my v12 but I dont know which settings I should use like commuter or off rode, pedal height, or should I go default everything.
I wish they would offer a better mud guard...
Me too!
Are these legal ? i have not seen them in Germany .. excellent video.. their is potential for even more imo ( so that you gain even more success )
Thanks
No problem!

Nice one!
Your massive waterproofs/flares always get in the way off the wheels visuals .other than that good informative vid👍
Motorbike trousers (Alpinestars). To be fair, I am far more concerned about being warm and dry that showing 10% more of a wheel side lol
@@Speedyfeetuk there covering what your displaying is all i meant, good informative video apart from that👍
Whats covered that you would like to see, will see if I can get more info on it.
Im just playing ian lighten up.its lucky your not reviewing the mten 3 😉
Lightening up after Christmas is not going to be easy, still have lots left over to get through.
Did you see the V12 High torque.
No...although from riding it so far can't say its lacking in that department, perhaps if it was sat on a 18 or 19 inch tire but not with this 16 on it.
@@Speedyfeetuk High torque motor with 60kmh top speed. Wider reinforced rim. CST like offroad tire. Improved motherboard with +23% power output. Advertised 45 degree incline riding
I think I’m waiting for the HT version 👍🏼
@@ZeroAlligator at that weight torque is more important for giving you power to brake and accelerate and prevent cutouts from sudden power demands like wind and ruts.
If top speed is your goal I’d recommnd a wheel larger than 16”
Does it feel top heavy?
No, cant say it does, it feels well balanced. Obviously the higher the footplates the less the centre of gravity takes effect.

Imagine having a wheel that never needs charging? The technology exists. We’ll look back in 5 years and laugh.
go go go
Gadget? 😀
наверное эти подергивания сделаны системно, для безопасности . тебе лично нужно колесо ,у которого максимальная скорость ЕЩЕ ВЫШЕ? 60 километров в час , и больше? или это идеально?
I would leave a comment, but I have nothing to say.
Ha ha
Awesome!
Cheers!
I want one but at 45 yo, probably not a great idea.

I'm 56 years old and just started. Now have have 3 wheels, v10f, 16x, Sherman. The 16x is my favorite.
@@enjoyyourlife1510 I’m 61 and I’m well over 2k miles now and couldn’t live without it. I started on a V10F which is a great beginner wheel and stuck about 1500 miles on that before buying the V12.
I sold my old wheel to a 58yr old mate who has now also bought his 2nd wheel another V12.

I wish the original soundwave was still available, the new soundwave sucks!!
I think they can do it with a firmware change OTA. Just give us an email: info@speedyfeet.co.uk and will see what we can do. (You will need to send user name and S/N of the wheel)
Nice
